Spike will debut the series premiere of The Mist tonight at 10:00 P.M. EST. Fans may recognize the name from the 2007 film of the same name or the Stephen King story it’s based on. To date, adaptations of King’s work on both the big and small screen have been…uneven (that’s putting it kindly). Spike is hoping The Mist can be their version The Walking Dead, a sci-fi/horror/thriller that brings in big ratings. Unfortunately for the network, reviews have been, ahem, less than stellar.
Anyway, here’s the brief plot summary:
Many people in the small town of Bridgeville, Maine are at odds with one another when a strange mist comes and forces them to work together to find their love ones and survive in this series based on Stephen King’s novella.
