Atari teased a new console during the E3 conference last week in Los Angeles, claiming their new hardware has been “years in the making.” After over 20 years of no new hardware releases, the old-school game developer is finally making moves “back in the hardware business,” according to Atari CEO Fred Chesnais in an interview with VentureBeat.

We’ve linked the teaser for you to watch here:

Some people are skeptical about the validity of this trailer though and wonder whether the teaser trailer was fake. The video was released on a non-Atari affiliate website, and the video wasn’t descriptive in the way it showcased its new features. The interview with Chesnais proved those suspicions wrong though, so now we’re left shortchanged with so many unanswered questions about the new system. What are the system specs? When is the release date? What new games are coming out for the system?

Chesnais wasn’t very descriptive when he was talking about the system. He did, however, mention it’s based on PC technology, and that Atari is still working on the design of the system.

He expects Atari to see a major comeback in the next few years. Atari filed for bankruptcy protection in 2013, and Chesnais plans to help revive the company from its depths and make the company flourish once again. Atari’s already started to turn a profit off of the mobile games market and licensing out its brand names for uses outside of video games, like how they licensed the Atari brand name for the upcoming Blade Runner 2049 movie.

That’s about all that the Internet knows about the hyped, new console. Will we see a resurgence from Atari that reaches the par of Xbox’s legendary hold on the gaming market? We’ll have to wait and see.
