While there are a plethora of award shows to be engrossed by, the CMT Awards are particularly notable as fans get to vote when it comes to selecting their favorite artists for a variety of awards. Starting in 1967, the CMT Music Awards have gone through a number iterations as the ceremony has been sponsored by several magazines and TV programs over the years. However, the awards show’s unconventional style and willingness to display unique performances (have showcased bluegrass performances in the past) has allowed it be refreshingly different from the CMA and ACM Awards respectively.
This years show will air live from Nashville’s Music City Center at 8:00 P.M. ET on June 7. The Show will be broadcast on CMT and will be hosted by Charles Esten (known for his role as Deacon Claybourne on the TV show Nashville). With that in mind, we have you covered on where and when to watch the event as well as the intriguing nominees for each category.
