If you’re a 90’s kid you’ll remember The Mummy trilogy. Well, Hollywood is bringing it back almost nine years after Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the last of the previous series of films. Coming this Thursday to a theater near you Alex Kurtzman drops the beginning of a new wave of The Mummy starring Tom Cruise.
Tom Cruise, having starred in hit blockbusters such as Top Gun, the Mission: Impossible series, Jerry Maguire and A Few Good Men has solidified his place in Hollywood as an A-list actor and a top priority casting option in highly-grossing films.
With that being said it’s safe to assume that Tommy-boy is rollin’ in doe, snappin’ necks and cashin’ checks. You might be asking yourself how much is an actor of such high caliber worth overall?
Tom Cruise’s Net Worth as of 2017: $470 Million
That is lots and lots of millions. It all started with his breakout role in the ’83 teen film Risky Business. In 2012 he was named the highest paid actor in Hollywood. Having accomplished so much, and with his momentum still on the up-and-up, Cruise has already been awarded three Academy Award nominations and three Golden Globe Awards and is likely to return for more.

His second role in a film was as Cadet captain David Shawn in Taps (1981), which earned him $50k, not too shabby for an actor just starting out. Still, that goes to show how far he’s come. Legend was the first film to get Cruise a six-figure pay-day in 1985. His next movie, The Color of Money, made him that seven figure check and from that point on Tom Cruise was on track to having one of the largest salaries as an actor in the industry. The year 1996 comes around wand the major blockbuster Mission: Impossible has Tom Cruise as the star. HE TOOK HOME $70 MILLION DOLLARS FROM THIS PROJECT, and for the next Mission: Impossible movie they threw another $5 million on top of that.

During this five year period Cruise would be able to buy himself a nice haircut and leave a decent $175 million dollar tip, having made approximately $175,020,000 starring in the films Mission: Impossible III, Valkyrie and Knight and Day.

Nothing changed during this time. Why would it? The scientology-advocating ball of energy was still on top of the game, and still is for that matter. Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol made Cruise $12 million in 2011, Jack Reacher made him $7.5 million in 2012, Oblivion brought him $20 million in 2013, Edge of Tomorrow with $23 million in 2014 and Mission: Impossible- Rogue Nation brought him in a whopping $25 million to sit on. In 2016 Cruise sold his Beverly Hills Mansion for only $490,000 although his Telluride estate proves to be a valuable property asset valued at $59 million.
