Steel Cage match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship: The Hardy Boyz vs. Sheamus & Cesaro

This match will be a most delightful encounter between the House of Hardy and Celtic Swiss. The team of Cesaro & Sheamus have been very dominant, imposing their will on Raw’s entire tag team division. I wouldn’t be shocked to see this team walk away with the titles. They’re stronger, younger, and possibly hungrier than the seasoned Hardys who have already accomplished nearly everything in the sport of professional wrestling.
But The Hardy Boyz WWE reunion tour is far from ova! Sunday’s encounter will just be another chapter in the Book of Hardy. They may lose the tag titles to Sheamus & Cesaro in the future. But I don’t see it happening at Extreme Rules. The boys from North Carolina will reign supreme inside that steel cage!

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz

Dean Ambrose and The Miz have stepped up their game big-time on the Raw roster. Their feud over the Intercontinental Championship is just hovering below the main event scene. The Miz has been on a red-hot roll since the summer. When he tells the WWE Universe that he’s made the IC Championship more prestigious, he’s not lying. The Miz really is awesome, whether you like to admit it or not.
The Miz would receive an insane amount of heat if he wins a championship via disqualification. Just for that, I’d say slap the belt back on old Mizzy boy for a seventh time. The Miz can increase his track record with the Intercontinental title, while Dean doesn’t look bad because he never got pinned and he never tapped out (at least in this match).

Submission match for WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Neville (c) vs. Austin Aries

This feud has been dragging on since WrestleMania. The storyline hasn’t been the best, but the matches just keep getting better. Another loss to Neville would knock Aries down the ladder in the cruiserweight division. If Aries wants to progress, he can’t be shut down right off the bat in his WWE career. If Aries doesn’t capture the Crusierweight Championship on Sunday then he’ll have to work his way back up from the bottom.
Neville has been amazing heel for all of 2017. Hats off to the King of the Cruiserweights. At Extreme Rules, I foresee the downfall of this king. I see his helper TJP getting in the way of the match and costing his guy the title.
But I see another title reign in Neville’s future very, very soon.

Rich Swann & Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox & Noam Dar

Sasha Banks went from main-eventing a pay-per-view inside a Hell in a Cell to working a mixed tag match on the lower card. Poor, Sasha. She got the reverse Jinder Mahal treatment. She’s still a superstar, but you’d WWE would find a better spot for the purple-haired boss.
No matter the outcome of this match Sasha Banks will always be a recognizable face. Swann will still be a former Cruiserweight Champion. But Dar and Fox have been working their way up for the lower cards with their storyline since late 2016. They’ve worked hard and deserve this victory to help propel their characters into the limelight.

Kendo Stick-on-a-Pole Match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley

Alexa Bliss has been whopping ass like it’s nobody’s business. She claims to be the goddess of Monday Night Raw and looks at Bayley as a chump. Don’t let Alexa’s small size fool you, she’s tough as hell and very dangerous in the ring. Once she gets her hands on a kendo stick, she’ll go to town on her opponent.
Alexa’s been making Bayley look weak each and every week. Now, it’s time for the San Jose native to turn the tables on Miss Bliss. It’s time for Bayley to show her hardcore side. Another loss to Alexa would crush Bayley and kill the feud.

Fatal 5-Way Extreme Rules Match to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor

The main event may just be the hardest to predict. At first, I considered this match to be a toss-up between “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns and “The Demon King” Finn Balor. But now, I see things differently. Since Samoa Joe arrived on the scene in January of this year, he’s been a complete and utter wrecking ball in-and-out of the ring. Plus, WWE is looking for a new monster to replace the injured Braun Strowman. The Samoan Submission Machine fills that void, which is why he has been catapulted to the main event.
Samoa Joe will rise to the occasion and win this match, either by pinning Bray Wyatt or his longtime foe Seth Rollins.

Predictions after Extreme Rules: Rollins and Wyatt will go onto feud at Great Balls of Fire pay per view. At that event, Balor and Reigns will fight for the #1 contendership and face the winner of Joe vs. Lesnar. Wyatt will interfere in the Reigns vs. Balor encounter, costing The Demon King the title opportunity, leading to Wyatt vs. Balor at SummerSlam.
