Over the last month or so, ESPN has been laying off employees in droves.
Chad Ford, Andy Katz, Jay Crawford, Ed Werder, Jayson Stark, and Trent Dilfer are just some of the dozens and dozens have prominent ESPN names who have been kicked to the curb.
Layoffs continued this week, as longtime reporter and hair-band hero John Clayton was laid off. So, yeah, it’s safe to say that ESPN is going through some tumultuous times. And layoffs aren’t the only thing affecting ESPN this week.
First, there was this legitimately painful-to-watch Adam Schefter clip.
I mean, I’ve never even been remotely close to anything resembling being suicidal, but hearing Adam f*cking Schefter grunt ‘curls for the girls’ helped me understand why some people think death is a better option. Good lord.
And then today, during an interview with Hannah Storm, ESPN’s Dallas Cowboys beat reporter Todd Archer just decided to, well, dip.
