Is it possible that Tiger Woods will be remembered more for his fall from grace than the achievements that brought him to the mountaintop in the first place?
We’re talking about an athlete who at one point mirrored the dominance and admiration obtained only by Michael Jordan. He was the best by a mile and no human being on the planet could come touch him. From about 1998 to 2008, Tiger Woods was essentially king of the sporting world — the golfing star, who was maybe the greatest of all time, that could do now wrong.
Fast forward to 2017, and Tiger Woods hasn’t won a major in almost a decade. His sponsors are leaving him and his back is failing him.
And now, just days after he said he ‘hasn’t felt this good in years’, Woods was arrested for DUI in Jupiter, Florida. Reports indicate that the fallen golf superstar was asleep at the wheel of his 2015 Mercedes Benz when he was arrested by Jupiter police. The 41-year-old Woods had to be woken up by an officer. His car was running at the time and Woods’ right blinker was flashing.
After Woods was awoken by police, he failed four field sobriety tests. After failing those four tests, Woods submitted to a breathalyzer and blew a .000 two times, which suggests that there was no alcohol in his system, however, Woods was on four prescription drugs: Soloxer, Vicodin, Torix, and Viox.
Following Woods’ arrest, his mug shot made it’s way online, and naturally, the internet had an absolute field day. Talk about kicking a man while he’s down.
