UPDATE: 10:46 A.M.: Police say the situation is over and that the area has officially been cleared.
UPDATE 10:30 A.M.: Police say workers at Daybreak Salon & Spa received a fax demanding $25,000. It threatened a bomb if they didn’t pay the fine or called police. About a dozen businesses have been evacuated.
A bomb threat has been made at Daybreak Salon and Spa in a strip mall in Woodhaven, Michigan. The threat has spurred the evacuation of several businesses in the location.
Woodhaven police are currently on the scene investigating. The evacuations are considered a precaution, but bomb sniffing dogs are sweeping the area.
Police have asked people to avoid the area.
