Explosions rocked an Ariana Grande concert in England late Monday night, which has caused a “number of confirmed fatalities and others injured,” according to Manchester police.

At approximately 10:45 p.m, “two loud bangs” were reported. We currently don’t know what causes the explosions, but the blasts went after right when Grande’s concert concluded.

Grande had just finished her last song when the explosions happened. Concertgoer Sasina Akhtar told the Manchester Evening News that “there was an explosion behind us at the back of the arena. We saw young girls with blood on them, everyone was screaming and people were running. There was lots of smoke.”

Witnesses describe a scene of panic, where people screamed and ran for their lives. A video of the incident shows people rushing out of the arena in a sea of panic surrounded by pink balloons.

Majid Khan, 22, reported hearing a “huge bomb-like bang that hugely panicked everyone and we were all trying to flee the arena.” Khan conveyed a scene of pure chaos when she says that, “everyone was in a huge state of panic, calling each other as some had gone to the toilet whilst this had gone off, so it was just extremely disturbing for everyone there.”

Another eye-witness by the name of Oliver Jones told reporters that he was in the bathroom at the time of the blast. “The bang echoed around the foyer of the arena and people started to run,” said the 17-year-old. “I (saw) people running and screaming towards one direction and then many were turning around to run back the other way. Security was running out as well as the fans and concert goers.”
