Diet Starts Monday was originally a clothing brand, but they’ve now added a new component to their company. Co-founders Davin Gentry and John Geiger recently opened a pop-up bar, restaurant, and retail store of the same name in Washington, D.C.
Their new spot is getting attention for all of the wrong reasons, as they inexplicably thought that it was a shrewd marketing idea to sell a “Pill Cosby” drink. The cocktail features fake capsules floating around in liquor, which is pretty much the definition of poor taste.
Seriously.. Someone thought this was a great idea.. A drink called Pill Cosby.. With pills floating in it https://t.co/S2beA8xdCk—

Gentry told the Washingtonian that the drink, “lets people be a little more aware,” which is the biggest crock of shit that I’ve ever heard. If Diet Starts Monday really cared about raising date rape awareness, they’d never in a million years consider making a drink like this.
Diet Starts Monday has since taken the “Pill Cosby” cocktail off of their menu, but it will be interesting to see if they’ll be able to recover from the backlash they’ve already received. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this was their plan in the first place, though. These scumbags might be of the mindset that there’s no such thing as bad press.
