The irony is just too delicious to pass up! You’d think someone with a Ph.D. would share words of wisdom, but instead we find something resembling a bratty teenager making you cringe with their self-entitlement and stupidity. You should see how she uses her doctorate degree in social psychology to her advantage.

This is the story of June Chu, dean of Yale Pierson College. Her official rhetoric for this institution is that of an enlightened progressive. But when she turns on the internet and logs into Yelp, her personality takes a turn for the worse. On Saturday, the Yale Daily News published screenshots of Chu’s vicious reviews.

One complaint from Chu in a review: “Side note: employees are Chinese, not Japanese.” Yikes!

She wished one gym employee named Bethany to lose her job and work at a McDonald’s. Chu also ridicules one establishment as being designed to cater to “white trash” or just generally “low class folks.” June also started off one review as “Remember: I am Asian.” Believe me, you’re something else too.

Let’s take a look at a few of those screenshots shall we! Just check out that great gallery!

She’s obviously a spoiled runt who felt obliged to insult people because of their cultural and economic standing, but then when she got called out on it: It’s damage control for June.

Maybe she should go back to school and take a class on common sense and decency. Chu sent an e-mail to the students of Yale University. She apologized and took responsibility for her “insensitive reviews.”

“I have learned a lot this semester about the power of words and about the accountability that we owe one another,” Chu wrote in the email. “My remarks were wrong. There are no two ways about it. Not only were they insensitive in matters related to class and race; they demean the values to which I hold myself and which I offer as a member of this community.”

I wonder if she’ll stop being a hypocrite now. Either way, she has been placed on leave by Yale University.

Ughhh, now I’m starting to feel bad like I’ve become that snotty Yelp reviewer. I’m letting my watchdog journalism get the better of me. Yes, what she did was wrong. But a second chance isn’t the worst thing we can do right now. You know the whole “those without fault cast the first insult” mumbo-jumbo. I’ll give you another chance Ms. Chu, but remember to practice what you preach or you may find yourself putting your foot in your mouth yet again.
