Pamela Stigger, a 33-year-old drama teacher at Forest Glen Middle School in Tamarac, Florida, is accused of having sex with a 15-year-old boy in the back of her car. Stigger was arrested Thursday shortly after she allegedly raped her former student in the car near an intersection in Tamarac.
What Happened?
Around 2:00 A.M. on Thursday, a police officer came across Stigger in the back seat of her car with the boy, who was said to be naked from the waist down.
Officials say Stigger has denied any sexual contact with the student and even told officers who approached her car that he was “attempting to seduce her.” According to her arrest report, she also told officers “she was only trying to mentor him.”
The student reportedly said that Stigger had offered him a ride home when she pulled over while driving and began to kiss him. He said Stigger instructed him to go into the back seat where they took off their clothes and had sex.
Stigger than got dressed and was allegedly performing a sexual act on the 15-year-old when she was spotted by officers.
She is a teacher at Forest Glen Middle School and police said she previously taught the student she was with. She has been employed by the Broward County Schools District since 2008, according to NBC Miami. She has been charged with two counts of sexual battery and one count of lewd conduct. Her bail was set at $37,500 on Friday and she was ordered to wear an ankle monitor and banned from contacting the victim.
Investigators are still exploring the matter but do not believe there are any other victims. The Broward County Schools are also investigating the incident and have reassigned Stigger away from the school. She will not be allowed near students during the trial.
