Selina Meyer is still searching for her calling post-presidency. Last week’s episode had her coming so close to a Supreme Court seat but eventually losing it to former president Stuart Hughes. The upside in the fourth episode was Meyer’s gang got one more addition with Amy deciding to ditch her fiance in order to gain a better career path with Selina. Jonah Ryan, on the other hand, is trying to make moves in Washington, but no one really wants to hear him out. This season still has the whole crew chasing fog, as there really is no clear end goal of where Meyer’s journey is heading.
While past seasons have shown Selina Meyer as a Vice President, on the campaign trail, president, and even as a presidential Nominee, this season seems to want to shift the focus on the struggles as a post-president. Do not despair, as this show usually waits ’till the eleventh hour to reveal to the viewers what’s in store next. For now, the main focus for Meyer is to get her library up and running, and with each episode her getting closer and closer to achieving it, she still seems very far from her goal.
