Randy Orton opens tonight’s SmackDown

Orton tells the audience that he didn’t lose at Payback because of Bray Wyatt or that refrigerator falling on him. Randy lost because of Jinder Mahal sticking his nose in The Viper’s business. Orton continues to talk, but is cut off by Mahal’s theme music.

“Randy, I didn’t take anything,” said Mahal. “I simply took what I’m gonna win at BackLash.”

Jinder then shows the audience promotional pictures he took with the WWE Chamionship. Mahal says he’s bringing that championship back to “his people.” They’ll erect a statue in Jinder’s honor in the Taj Mahal.

Kevin Owens music hits and he insults India and England, saying that no one cares about those two countries. The only thing people should care about is the WWE United States Champion KO. He brags about how he allegedly ended Chris Jericho’s career. And at Backlash, he plans on ending another performer’s career…this time it will be AJ Styles. And after that, Owens plans on becoming the face of SmackDown and the new WWE World Champion. He even announces his championship aspirations in his native language of French.

AJ Styles is out next! AJ reminds KO and everyone else that this is “the house AJ Style’s built.” KO can brag all he wants about ending Y2J, but AJ isn’t Jericho and neither is Owens.

“The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin is out next! Corbin begins to speak, but then Sami Zayn pops outta nowhere and attacks The Lone Wolf. Meanwhile, Mahal tries to attack Orton. Randy fights back and tries to DDT “Hardbody” Mahal off the second rope, but The Singh Brothers intervene and pull Jinder to safety.

Lana is almost here!

Natalya vs. Becky Lynch

Carmella and “the chinless wonder” James Ellsworth introduces Natalya Neidhart to the ring. Carmella is that trash-talkin’ ghetto girl who is full of spunk and attitude. But Natalya may just be the darkest hart in the dungeon.

Naomi comes out to introduce Becky Lynch. Ms. Glow will be in Becky’s corner in this match, in attempt to even out the playing field. Charlotte arrives after Becky, and says that she doesn’t need anyone to announce her arrival. WOOOOOOOOOO!

Nattie controlled much of this match. Becky tried her best to battle back, but she got distracted by all the tension at the ringside. Natalya capitalizes and knocks Becky off the top rope.

Becky plays peacemaker

Charlotte and Naomi are arguing backstage. The Queen think it’s Becky’s fault for losing the match, but Naomi thinks otherwise. The orange-haired spitfire Becky Lynch interjects herself into the argument. She says they’ll have to work together because at Backlash, they’ll be fighting Natalya, Tamina and Carmella in a six-women tag team match. Each woman joins pinkies in solidarity.

Good going, Becky!

Breezango’s Fashion Files: London Edition

Fandango is dressed as Sherlock Holmes, while Tyler Breeze is dressed up as a British bobby. They’re investigating a red paint foot print. They say only The Ugos (The Usos) wear that kind of face paint. They walk down the hallway as they observe the clues. There’s some smeared red paint hand-prints on the wall.

They follow the clues to a door. We can hear loud grunting noises behind the door. Tyler Breeze tries to kick it open and yells out for whoever is back there “to leave that girl alone.” Breeze opens the door to find The Ascension acting weird. He closes the door and The Ascension case is officially re-opened.

Luke Harper vs. Erick Rowan

Rowan throws the first few shots. Luke fights back hard, so Erick will need to be sneaky to put away his opponent. After a long fought contest, Rowan grabbed his creepy goat steam-punk mask and is prepared to hit his opponent with it. The referee intervenes and grabs the mask. Erick capitalizes on the opportunity and pokes Luke’s eye behind the ref’s back. Rowan then hits Harper with a spinning powerslam.

The New Day are coming soon to SmackDown Live

Dolph Ziggler confronts the Artist known as Shinsuke Nakamura

Ziggler comes out to complain about how the audience shows much more attention to Nakamura than him. He says that they treat The Showoff like an infectious disease. Meanwhile, Shinsuke hasn’t even had a match on SmackDown, yet the crowd sings along to his song and cannot get enough of him. Dolph is sick of it! He’s calling out Nakamura!

Shinsuke comes out and accepts Dolph’s challenge to prove himself. A referee is separating each man. The ref is about to ring the bell, but Dolph says he’ll do this on his time. At Backlash, Ziggler will fight Nakamura…but then Dolph throws his jacket at Shinsuke’s face and the fight is on! Ziggler has the upper-hand first, but then Nakamura kicks some serious ass. Shinsuke seems absolutely unstoppable. Dolph is retreating!

Mojo Rawley talks to some kids about Andre the Giant and his trophy

The Ascension vs. Breezango

Fandango squares off against Konnor of the Ascension to start the match. We see a lot of back-and-forth action, mainly in favor of Breezango. Fandango ends the match with a Last Dance on Viktor.

Post-match: The Usos come out to remind Breezango that they have 12 days until their match at Backlash for WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. They have 12 days to watch each other’s backs, rub each other’s backs, kiss each other’s back and lick each other’s back. After the obvious homoerotic humor, Breezango is reminded what time it is. They’ll have the short hairs standing on the back of their neck in anticipation of The Usos. Or at least that’s what the tag team champs think. Fandango points at his wrist, signifying the countdown until Backlash. The fashion police are ready for those Ugos!

Main Event: Randy Orton, Sami Zayn & AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal, Baron Corbin & Kevin Owens

Corbin and Styles fight to kickoff the main event of the evening. After back-and-forth action between AJ and Baron, Sami Zayn gets the tag, and so does Jinder Mahal. The fans chant “ole!” Sami locks in the head-scissors and sends Mahal flying. Orton gets the tag, but Jinder wants nothing of The Viper. Owens get the tag as the fans “boo.” Orton assaults KO and goes in for the kill. Randy attempts an RKO, but Owens exits the ring.

We’re back from the break, and now AJ Styles and Baron Corbin are going at it. Jinder gets the tag, but eats a dropkick from AJ for his troubles. Zayn gets the tag, but Jinder beats him into a corner. Owens gets tagged in, and now we see another epic exchange in the storied rivalry between KO and Sami Zayn.

KO and Zayn duel shots. Owens fights his former best friend into the corner as the crowd counts along with each blow. Sami runs the ropes, but gets caught by KO. Owens put the stompin’ on Sami, that’s for damn sure.

Corbin gets the tag and knocks Zayn out of the ring. Jinder hits a cheap shot on Sami, as Orton and AJ come over to keep better watch of their partner and their opponents. Corbin brings “The Underdog of the Underground” back into the ring. Baron pins Sami, but the little guy with the big heart kicks out at the count of 2.

Corbin is in complete control. Sami tries to rally back, but the big man swats the underdog out of the air like a fly. Corbin goes for the cover again…1…2…kick out! Baron tags in Jinder who immediately goes on the assault. Jinder brings Sami to the corner and makes him crumble with a dropkick to the back. Mahal goes for the cover, but the resilient Sami kicks out once more.

Owens receives the tag and continues torturing Sami Zayn. Owens slaps a headlock on the underdog and later lays the smackdown on Sami with a senton splash. Ouch!

We’re back from the break, and Sami Zayn is regaining ground (and air). He runs the ropes and dives onto his opponents. AJ and Corbin duke it out next. They exchange hard shots, but Baron gains the upper-hand and lands a backdrop on Styles. Corbin goes for the cover, but AJ kicks out at 2.

“Hard Body” Mahal gets the tag and lays his knees into Styles. He then applies his own headlock onto “The Phenomenal One.” AJ fights out of the hold, but almost immediately eats a sick running knee from Mahal. Jinder goes for the cover, but AJ kicks out once more at the count of 2. Now, Owens gets the tag and puts the boots to AJ. KO screams at “The Face That Runs The Place,” and applies a headlock.

AJ breaks free and tags in Randy Orton who enters the ring like a lightning bolt. He finally gets his hands on Mahal and sends him flying with a powerslam. Corbin tries to intervene, but gets laid out with a powerslam as well. Owens comes in, but gets dropped with a DDT.

Orton is right about to hit Jinder with an RKO, but the Singh Brothers intervene and climb up onto the apron. Orton turns around and gets taken out by Mahal. But then the quick Sami Zayn smacks the #1 contender (Mahal) with a Blue Thunderbomb. Baron enters the ring and takes out Sami with a backbreaker. Then AJ smacks Corbin with a pele kick. Owens knocks AJ out of the ring. Complete carnage, folks! A true slobber knocker!

Randy hits an RKO on Owens. But then “Hard Body” Mahal sneaks up from behind and hits a Cobra Clutch slam onto Orton.
