The 2017 Kentucky Derby is set to kick off today, May 6, with 20 horses competing for immortality during the “Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.”
This year’s race looks to be one without a clear frontrunner to the delight of gamblers everywhere. Sure, there are horses that inspire a great deal of confidence when you’re looking to lay a bet, but there aren’t any American Pharaohs or California Chromes this time out.

Your best bet for watching the Kentucky Derby via a live stream is NBC Sports Live Extra. You will need your log-in and password information for your cable or satellite provider and you’re good to go.
If you don’t have access to a cable or satellite log-in, you can live stream the race online through DIRECTV NOW.
