After being stunned in the first game against the Houston Rockets, the San Antonio Spurs came back with a vengeance in Game 2. The Spurs changed the tide from the first outing en route to a 25 point victory, and certainly looked like the San Antonio team of old.
The series is now all tied up at 1-1, but San Antonio will be missing one big piece of their team, veteran Tony Parker. The veteran point guard will now miss the remainder of the playoffs due to a ruptured left quadriceps. Tough break for the aging veteran.
Game 2 seemed to be a complete reversal for both teams. The Rockets struggled to find their identity on offense, while everything went right for San Antonio. Game 3 will be absolutely pivotal for the direction of the series with the home court advantage now moving to Houston. The edge may go to the Rockets, back at the Toyota Center.
Kawhi Leonard will be looked even more so to be the leader and floor general with the absence of Parker. MVP candidate James Harden understands he can swing momentum back to his squad in attempts of winning the next two games at home. Houston finding success behind the three-point line could be the deciding factor, especially up against a very strong defensive team in the Spurs.
