Fyre Festival Lawyers Are Sending Cease-And-Desist Letters To Festival-Goers For Telling The Truth

If you haven’t heard by now, Ja Rule and some millennial entrepreneur douche Billy McFarland fleeced a bunch of rich kids out of some money. Some spent a grand for a ticket, others spent tens of thousands — but all of them showed up to a festival that didn’t even exist.

Zero infrastructure, minimal food, dog-eat-dog rooming, literal feral dogs — the music festival was far from the paradise promised by the festival’s marketing.

And now, despite being public enemy #1 of American culture at the moment, the people in charge seem to be doing all they can to make matters worse — because instead of apologizing, they’re threatening people by sending them cease-and-desist letters

Attorneys for Fyre have fired off a cease and desist letter to at least one of the people who flew to the Bahamas for the festival. The person complained on social media … communications on the island were non-existent and there was nothing but disaster relief tents that were on the verge of blowing over.

The lawyers said the statements were untrue and what’s worse, could “incite violence, rioting or civil unrest.”

And there was this warning … “If someone innocent does get hurt as a result [of your postings] Fyre Festival will hold you accountable and responsible,” adding, “Inciting violence crosses the line.”

I’m going to go out on a limb here and assume that threatening to sue people for simply documenting the putrid conditions of your legitimately dangerous music festival scam is not the best idea. Digging your own grave even deeper at that point.
