The semi-finals of the Champions League kicks off with an epic Madrid Derby as Real and Atletico face off at the legendary Santiago Bernabéu. The matchup is a rematch of last year’s Champions League final, which Real won 5-3 on penalties.

Coming off an impressive 6-3 aggregate victory over German giants Bayern Munich, Real Madrid comes into today’s game tied for first in La Liga with 81 points. As for Atletico Madrid, they currently sit in third place with 71 points, behind Real and Barcelona.

As for injuries, Real will be without forward Gareth Bale, who is out with a calf injury. Meanwhile, Atletico will be without defender Juanfran, who is out with a thigh problem. I am not a fan of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. In fact, I pretty much hate all of them. But I do respect them. Why? Because they’ve managed to parlay a name and a sex tape into a sprawling multifaceted lucrative empire. You simply can’t knock their hustle.

In addition, Kris started to build out the family’s profiles by booking hosting gigs, commercials, magazine covers and partnerships with alcohol brands such as Midori liqueur. The Momager also brokered book deals,, beauty line launches and even a video game deal. According to one estimation, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood earns the family as much as $200 million every year.

2012 – 2015

In 2012, Kris became an executive producer of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and its various spin-offs. E! reportedly handed her and the family a $100 million contract to keep the show on the air for another four years.

Does getting joy out of the plight of Fyre Festival-goers make me a monster? Maybe. Actually, probably.

Since the chaos of the festival has died down, Variety reports that Ja Rule and the organizers have been hit with a $100 million class-action lawsuit. In the suit, lawyer Mark Geragos accuses Fyre Festival of fraud, breach of contract, breach of covenant of good faith and negligent misrepresentation. Geragos also claims that the panic that the lack of planning caused endangered the well-being of those in attendance.

“Fyre Festival’s lack of adequate food, water, shelter, and medical care created a dangerous and panicked situation among attendees — suddenly finding themselves stranded on a remote island without basic provisions — that was closer to ‘The Hunger Games’ or ‘Lord of the Flies’ than Coachella,” Geragos said.

Known affectionately around the country as “Lily” from the immensely popular AT&T commercials, Milana Vayntrub is an actress and comedian. Born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist republic, Milana moved to West Hollywood with her family at the age of three due to religious persecution. Kate Middleton and Prince William, the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge, have demanded the equivalent of £1.3million from those responsible for taking and selling topless photos of Kate.

Six defendants are currently on trial and the royal couple’s French barrister, Jean Veil, made the request on the first day of the criminal trial in the Paris suburb of Nanterre. Veil told the town’s Correctional Court that both William and Kate had suffered massively from the sneak long-lens pictures taken while they were on holiday in the south of France in 2012.

Kate and William have also asked for 1.5 million euros (1.3 million pounds) from Closer magazine, which published the topless photos of Kate. In addition, they are also seeking £42,000 (50,000 euros) from La Provence for publishing the pictures without the Duchess showing her breasts.

Prince William was reportedly pushing for prosecution since the start of this ordeal.

The pictures were taken in September 2012 when the couple were on holiday at a chateau owned by Viscount David Linley, the son of the late Princess Margaret. Closer and La Provence published the photos that same month. One photo features Kate topless and having sunscreen rubbed on her by William.

Laurence Pieau, the editor of Closer, Ernesto Mauri, chief executive of the Mondadori group which owns the magazine, and Cyril Moreau and Dominique Jacovides, two Paris-based photographers will appear on charges of invasion of privacy and complicity.

Both photographers have denied taking the photos though they each received significant payoffs after the images were published.

The trial is ongoing.

I was ready to write a post about how Hailee Steinfeld is yet another of the dime-a-dozen actress or singer or model or whatever that Justin Bieber was dating, and that she’ll be out of sight, out of mind, in about three months.

But then I used the ole’ Google machine to do some research on the post, and I found out that back in 2010, she was the little girl in True Grit. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen True Grit, but it stars Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, and Josh Brolin, so you can imagine how awesome it is based just on whose in it.

So now, here we are seven years later, and that girl from True Grit has apparently (according to Google) become quite the big star.

Steinfeld, born in December of 1996, is not only an actress, but a model and singer as well. She first became known for her portrayal of Mattie Ross in the aforementioned True Grit, for which she was remarkably nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, and the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Afterwards, she had roles in Petra Arkanian in Ender’s Game (2013), Juliet Capulet in Romeo & Juliet (2013), Violet Mulligan in Begin Again (2013), Zooey Renner in 3 Days to Kill (2014), and Nadine Franklin in The Edge of Seventeen (2016), for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination.

After appearing in and singing in Pitch Perfect 2, Steinfield signed to Republic Records, and released her debut single, “Love Myself”, which has been certified platinum.

A portion of Military Road in Frederick, Md. is currently closed due to a HAZMAT situation. Few details were immediately available, but drivers should avoid the area.

UPDATE: Frederick Memorial Hospital has reopened after potentially hazardous substance was found to be common household chemicals.

What Happened?

FOX 5’s Paul Wagner is at Frederick Memorial Hospital, where the main entrance was roped off and a decon tent was set up near the emergency room. Wagner said there was lots of equipment at the scene. Military Road is closed from West 7th Street to Rosemont Avenue. It is being reported that this may be a hazardous material situation.

Reports suggest that two men received a suspicious package at their home and then felt burning and respiratory distress. They went to the hospital as a result and now both locations are under investigation. It isn’t clear what the substance is that caused their injuries, so authorities are proceeding with extreme caution.

The hospital is now closed to incoming patients as authorities investigate. Ambulances are being diverted to other local hospitals, according to hospital spokeswoman Melissa Lambdin. A decontamination tent was set up near the emergency room and the ER is not accepting new patients at this time.

Two patients “who may have been exposed to an unknown substance” were receiving treatment in the hospital’s emergency department as of 1 p.m., according Lambdin. The emergency department was otherwise shut down, with no new patients admitted and existing patients relocated, Lambdin wrote in an email. The two patients are currently undergoing a decontamination process, as is customary.

Lambdin could not confirm if the entire hospital campus is on lockdown. Police say that Military Road is closed as a result.

Investigators are working to determine the origin of the package and whether or not there was any criminal activity involved.

Frederick Memorial Hospital

Frederick Memorial Hospital is the only hospital in Frederick County, Maryland. It is located in the city of Frederick at 400 W 7th Street and serves as the hub of the Frederick Regional Health System (FRHS).

Yomna Fouad, a 21-year-old Florida prostitute, told a judge that she seduced men after meeting them in Miami clubs and would then rob them of their valuables.

Fouad was taken into custody by Miami-Dade Police after she was seen outside of Miami Beach’s Rockwell nightclub by one of her alleged victims. After the two began arguing, police arrived at the scene and subsequently arrested her. Fouad is now facing charges of larceny, grand theft, and false identification charges.

Fouad was accused by 31-year-old Alain Rene Galette of stealing his clothing, cash, jewelry, and a Rolex after the two met outside of a nightclub before going back to his residence in March. Galette claims the value of the stolen items is $32,000.

Galette claimed that he woke up ‘drugged, not knowing what was going on, and all of [his] stuff missing.’ Furthermore, surveillance footage at Gallette’s building shows Galette and Fouad entering his building, and then Fouad later leaving alone with his personal items.

This is not the first time Fouad has been involved in this sort of crime, as detectives tied Fouad to a May 2016 robbery.

According to an arrest report, Fouad and a friend met the victim at LIV nightclub inside the Fontainebleau hotel. Fouad told the man her name was Rebecca “Becca” Arias, police said.

Police said the women stayed with the victim at his table until the club closed and the man offered to get a hotel room for the three of them. The women followed the victim to the room and one of them saw him place his $46,000 Rolex watch and $8,000 in cash inside the hotel room safe, the report said.

Police said the victim left the women in the room while he went to his car to get his overnight bag. When he returned, the women were gone.

Furthermore, Fouad, who is from Columbia, South Carolina, is accused of stealing an $87,000 Audemars Piguet watch in September 2016 from a man who she had met at the Matador restaurant in Miami, Florida.

Fouad is suspected of being connected to other similar crimes throughout the east coast, as at least 10 other police departments are currently investigating her. She was ordered to be held in lieu of a $50,000 in court on Monday.

As of Monday, May 1, Fouad remained in custody at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.

Based on the real-life courtship between Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, The Big Sick tells the story of Pakistan-born aspiring comedian Kumail (Nanjiani), who connects with grad student Emily (Kazan) after one of his standup sets. However, what they thought would be just a one-night stand blossoms into the real thing, which complicates the life that is expected of Kumail by his traditional Muslim parents. When Emily is beset with a mystery illness, it forces Kumail to navigate the medical crisis with her parents, Beth and Terry (Holly Hunter and Ray Romano) who he’s never met, while dealing with the emotional tug-of-war between his family and his heart.

The Big Sick will hit select theaters on June 23 and receive a national rollout July 14.

A University of South Florida football player has been arrested by police on charges of sexual battery and false imprisonment after he allegedly forced himself onto a female student.

22-year-old LaDarrius Jackson, a defensive end of the USF football team, was taken into custody on Monday, May 1.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Jackson allegedly assaulted a female student on Monday afternoon inside of a campus dorm room. The arrest report states that USF Police got a 911 call around 3:00 P.M.  reporting a sexual battery that had taken place half an hour earlier at the school’s Holly Drive Apartments.

According to an arrest report filed by USF police, Jackson forced a woman to perform sex Monday afternoon despite her verbal and physical efforts to resist him. He forced her into her room after she placed her hands on a wall in an attempt to stop him, the report says, then pushed her onto the bed and straddled her.

The victim told investigators she did not leave the room because she feared Jackson — who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 243 pounds — would try to stop her, the report says.

Jackson has since been charged with sexual assault/sexual battery on a person 18 or older and false imprisonment/kidnapping of an adult. While the police say that the victim and suspect “were known acquaintances,” the exact nature of the two’s relationship is unknown.

In a statement from the Univesity of South Florida,  newly hired head coach Charlie Strong said Jackson has been removed from all team activities for the time being.

“We are aware of the charges filed against Jackson. While we find the allegations troubling, we will continue to gather information and support the judicial process before providing further comment.”

Furthermore, according to university police Captain Mike Klingbiel, Jackson was just about to board a plane home as spring semester just ended.  He was contacted by authorities and detained at Tampa International Airport.

“We have nothing to believe he was fleeing because of the incident,” Klingbiel said. “He was simply there flying home. We called him. He didn’t get on the plane; he waited for us.”

Jackson, a 6’4″, 243-pound junior defensive end, played in seven games last season, accumulating three tackles. He joined the University of South Florida football team after transferring from Hinds Community College in Jackson, Mississippi.

Zero infrastructure, minimal food, dog-eat-dog rooming, literal feral dogs — the music festival was far from the paradise promised by the festival’s marketing.

And now, despite being public enemy #1 of American culture at the moment, the people in charge seem to be doing all they can to make matters worse — because instead of apologizing, they’re threatening people by sending them cease-and-desist letters

Attorneys for Fyre have fired off a cease and desist letter to at least one of the people who flew to the Bahamas for the festival. The person complained on social media … communications on the island were non-existent and there was nothing but disaster relief tents that were on the verge of blowing over.

The lawyers said the statements were untrue and what’s worse, could “incite violence, rioting or civil unrest.”

And there was this warning … “If someone innocent does get hurt as a result [of your postings] Fyre Festival will hold you accountable and responsible,” adding, “Inciting violence crosses the line.”

I’m going to go out on a limb here and assume that threatening to sue people for simply documenting the putrid conditions of your legitimately dangerous music festival scam is not the best idea. Digging your own grave even deeper at that point.

ISIL continues advancing in Sana’a. Cross rallies the other prisoners to capture Ramal and use him as a bargaining chip. Michael convinces a reluctant Ramal to help them out as he is the one inside of the solitary cell with escape tools. Ramal, Michael, Ja and Whip are able to escape just as Cross and his followers break into solitary. Sid stabs Cross in the chest, joining Michael’s party, which heads outside. They are all captured by ISIL. Ramal plans to behead Michael; but Lincoln intervenes and kills the jihadists while Whip kills Ramal. Michael and Lincoln share an emotional reunion as a news report on Ramal’s death plays. Sid informs them that ISIL is now declaring war on them for Ramal’s death. Meanwhile, T-Bag confronts Kellerman, who denies being Poseidon, an unknown rogue CIA agent criticizing the U.S. foreign policy. They are attacked by Poseidon operatives. T-Bag manages to escape; but Kellerman is killed by Van Gogh, who starts doubting Poseidon’s cause. T-Bag pursues A&W and Van Gogh and takes photos of them meeting with Ness.

Gina continually pranks the detectives while live-casting herself in front of her audience the “Ginazon”. Amy convinces Holt to speed through five years of mentorship before the Nine-Nine closes. Jake and Charles set out on their last case together, which balloons into a big drug bust. They go for the bigger collar, even though it means the case will not be resolved until after HQ’s decision. The precinct goes to a bar expecting to be shut down, but Holt soon exclaims they are staying open, thanks to a group called the “Ginazon” protesting to the commissioner’s office. Gina then jumps from behind the bar and takes the credit.

The Nine-Nine has been renewed! Well, okay more like precinct has. After last week’s episode lingered on the fate of the gang, with it either being them or the 74th precinct to shut down for good, our heroes got their green light. After toying with our heart strings to see if this was the end for Jake Peralta and the gang, the precinct was able to avoid the chopping block and remain as the 99th precinct. Tonight’s episode, “Moo Moo” should have everyone heading back into action as the threat of getting shut down is no longer on the radar.

This episode seems like it will be tackling race issues, as Detective Terry is arrested by another cop. Peralta and his fellow detective/girlfriend Amy Santiago have to babysit Terry’s kids as Terry deals with his arrest. I’m sure this episode will tackle the issue in the usual way as Peralta and Santiago try their best to talk about the race issue and the police to Terry’s two young children. This episode will also have other funny bits in it as well and the B story line will probably focus on Detective Boyles and his shenanigans at the office.

With only four more episodes left in the season, any and all Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans will want to soak up as much of the Andy Samberg-led cast as possible, so check below to see your viewing options.
