No Kevin Durant, no problem. The star small forward for the Golden State Warriors sat out of Game 3 with a strained calf muscle, but the team was still able to come away with another win against the eighth seeded Portland Trail Blazers. Now in Game 4, Portland is just trying to stay alive.

Golden State will be aiming to be the second team in these playoffs to sweep their first round opponent; the first being the Cavaliers. The Trail Blazers will have a chance to fight another night by picking up a win in Game 4. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr will also miss tonight’s game due to an undisclosed illness.

In Game 3, the reigning MVP, Stephen Curry, proved too much too handle for Portland. Despite being down by 16 at one point, the Warriors were able to climb their way back into the game behind Curry’s lights out shooting and a solid performance from JaVale McGee, who finished with 14 points.

Although an NBA team has never come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a best-of-seven series, Damian Lillard is poised to keep his team battling. The Trail Blazers blew a big opportunity to steal a win in Game 3 and could not maintain their large lead. Lillard is averaging 25.7 points, but will need some serious help from the surrounding cast to avoid the sweep. Jusuf Nurkic will miss tonight’s game for Portland and Durant is now listed as questionable.

Thus comes this Batman related-gem, specifically, Heath Ledger’s sister’s thoughts on their brother’s suicide.

Back when Ledger died (RIP), the tabloids ran the story that Ledger’s method acting led him to have suicidal thoughts. As both a Batman fan and a Ledger fan, I knew the claim was preposterous. Now, almost a decade later, his sisters have agreed.

Singer Elton John, 70, contracted a “potentially deadly” bacterial infection in South America and is currently recuperating.

What Happened?

John reportedly fell “violently ill” while on a flight from Santiago, Chile to Britain and received immediate emergency treatment in a UK hospital.

Doctor are said to have worked quickly to remove the infection, but John reportedly was forced to stay in the hospital for 12 days, two of which were spent in intensive care, before being released on April 22.

As a result, the singer has cancelled a handful of Las Vegas shows as he continues to recover.

“During a recent, successful tour of South America, Elton contracted a harmful and unusual bacterial infection,” his representative said in a statement. “During his return flight from Santiago, Chile he became violently ill. Upon returning to the UK, Elton’s Doctors admitted him to hospital, where he underwent immediate treatment to remove the infection.

“Infections of this nature are rare and potentially deadly. Thankfully, Elton’s medical team identified this quickly and treated it successfully. He is expected to make a full and complete recovery.”

John himself added: “I am so fortunate to have the most incredible and loyal fans and apologize for disappointing them. I am extremely grateful to the medical team for their excellence in looking after me so well.”

John will return to the stage to perform at Twickenham Stadium in England on June 3.

Highlight Reel turns into MizTV and then turns into Ambrose Asylum

Jericho says that this will be the last Highlight Reel on Monday Night Raw because he’s going to beat KO this Sunday for the WWE United States Championship (exclusive to SmackDown Live). If Jericho wins on Sunday, he’ll be traded over to the blue brand. Y2J says he has the best guest for tonight’s show…himself.

Out comes The Miz & Maryse. The It Couple totally took over the Highlight Reel. Out with the old and in with the new. Out comes the crew to roll out the carpet and set up MizTV.

Miz runs his mouth some more. Out comes Dean Ambrose. He tells Jericho that he’s right: Miz is a stupid idiot. Y2J wasn’t saying it, but was thinking it. The set-up crew come out again and now we’re doing the Ambrose Asylum segment and The Miz and Jericho are his guests.

Ambrose gives Jericho a light-up jacket gift, as a little payback for ripping up Y2J’s 15k scarf. The Miz throws a fit because if anyone deserves a gift it’s The Miz. Ambrose does a gift for Miz in the form of a Dirty Deeds ddt.

“Maryse, you know what happens when you’re married to a stupid idiot like The Miz?” says Jericho. “You just made the list!”

Sheamus vs. Matt Hardy

Hardy and Sheamus lock-up to kick off this match. Matt rolls up the big Irishman, but Sheamus breaks free. They lock up once more, and Hardy eats an elbow. Sheamus then takes down Matt with a shoulder tackle. Hardy rallies back with a neckbreaker and a few leg drops. Matt pins Sheamus, but the Celtic Warrior kicks out once again. The action spills to the outside, when Matt hits Sheamus with a sick Side Effect onto the ring apron.

We’re back from commercial break, and Sheamus has Matt trapped in a headlock. Hardy battles back, breaks free, but then eats some serious shots from Sheamus, including ten stiff smacks to the chest. Sheamus goes to the top rope, jumps and knocks down Matt Hardy.

Matt counters, as he uses Sheamus’ momentum and sends him into the steel ring post. Hardy takes to the top rope and sends Sheamus flying with a tornado ddt.

The Celtic Warrior is distracted by what’s going on outside the ring with Cesaro & Jeff. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate, and that’s it for Sheamus!

Matt Hardy defeats Sheamus

Post-match: Cesaro is blaming Jeff for Sheamus losing. But the Celtic Warrior has the cooler hand, and wants to shake Matt’s hand. Could it be a trick? Nope. Sheamus raises Matt’s arm in victory.

Raw GM Kurt Angle’s office: The Miz is upset

The Miz is furious for what happened earlier in the night with Ambrose & Jericho. Angle doesn’t want to hear his sh*t. He says if you have a problem, settle it in the ring. He books a tag team match for later in the night: Dean Ambrose & Y2J vs. Miz and whoever agrees to be his tag team partner or co-star or whatever. Maryse rants at Angle in French, and the RAW GM says, “Oh, yeah? Well, right back at ya!”

Neville & TJ Perkins vs. Austin Aries & “Gentleman” Jack Gallagher

We start off this one with a brawl between both teams. Aries & Gallgher have the upperhand, as they send both their opponents flying over the top rope before we go to commercials.

We’re back from the break, and Perkins hits Jack with a hit kick to the back. Perkins tags in Neville, who immediately goes on the attack, kicking Jack and trapping him into a headlock. Jack escapes and rallies back against the King of the Cruiserweights. But Neville counters and tags in TJ. They attempt to double team Gallagher, but that blows up in their face. Jack is kicking some serious ass!

Austin Aries get the hot tag. Aries annihilates both men with a flurry of moves. Aries sends Neville soaring over the top rope, and hits TJ with a neck-breaker only in a matter of seconds.

Aries is in complete control. He locks TJ Perkins into a Last Chancery. But Neville breaks up the submission hold. Gallagher and Neville trade shots, but Jack gains the upperhand. Aries recuperates and smacks Perkins with a Discus Five Arm.

Dumpster Match: Braun Strowman vs. Kalisto

Strowman says he thinks everyone in the arena is trash, and we dumped Kalisto in the trash, it was like dumping everyone here in the trash. And he’ll dispose of Roman Reigns this Sunday at Payback in the same manner.

Backstage: Kurt Angle is asking Kalisto if he’s sure about fighting Braun Strowman. Kalisto says he’s ready. He’s a man. Not a piece of trash.

Kalisto rushes to the ring, and the match begins. The masked luchador hits Strowman with some weak kicks. Strowman grabs Kalisto by the head and screams in his face. Kalisto battles back with some high-risk moves. But that’s not enough. Strowman throws him across the ring like a Frisbee.

At one point, Kalisto had Braun teetering over the top rope, almost about to fall into the dumpster. But Braun reverses and hits Kalisto with more punishing blows. Strowman looks like he’s about to put away Kalisto and throw him in the dumpster. But Braun finds himself on the ring apron, trying to pick up the luchador by his head. Kalisto dropkicks Braun, who lands into that dumpster boot first.

Strowman snaps after the match, and hits Kalisto with several modified choke-slams. Braun throws Kalisto into the dumpster, and wheels it to the top of the ramp, as WWE officials try to talk some sense into the big man. Strowman locks the dumpster and then pushes it off the ramp, as it flips to its side onto the concrete floor.

The prison where Aaron Hernandez killed himself is under lockdown as investigations probe beyond the ex-NFL star’s suicide, a top state official said.

What Happened?

A Massachusetts judge has ordered that Hernandez’s three suicide notes be given to his family so they can try and understand why the 27-year-old took his own life with a bed sheet last week, the Boston Globe reported. Daniel Bennett, the state’s top public safety officer, appeared in court Monday to argue against handing over the letters.

During a recorded sidebar released by the Boston Globe, Bennett argued that releasing the letters would impede the investigation into the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center where Hernandez was detained.

“It’s in lockdown and one of the reasons is because of issues with Mr. Hernandez. And things that have happened with Mr. Hernandez,” Bennett said during the huddle, which included the judge and lawyers in the case.

It is unclear what officials are investigating, however.

“There was a lot of other issues that could have gone on at Souza,” he added, referring to the Shirley, Mass. facility as the state’s “most dangerous prison.”

Bennett admitted that he hadn’t seen the letters, nor did he acknowledge what significance they might hold to the investigation. But he did say Hernandez wrote “essentially don’t cry for him, he’s going to be happy in the afterlife,” according to the Boston Globe.

George Leontire, the lawyer representing Hernandez’s fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins Hernandez, filed court documents earlier Monday saying the family had the right to see the ex-New England Patriots star’s final words.

“They desperately (need) the closure the suicide notes would provide,” Leontire worte, according to the newspaper.

The former NFL star was serving a life sentence without the possibility for parole for the 2013 murder of friend Odin Lloyd. A Newsweek report last Friday suggested one possible motive for the murder was to cover up Hernandez’s bisexuality. It’s been rumored that one of his three suicide notes was addressed to his gay prison prison lover, identified as Kyle Kennedy, though the nature of their relationship has not been confirmed.

The United Airlines dragging fiasco involving passenger Dr. David Dao is far from over. New surveillance footage and audio has been released that sheds further light on the incident as NBC News has obtained 911 audio and further video. Furthermore, statements from the officer involved in forcibly removing Dao from the flight, identified as James Long, have been released as well via the a Freedom of Information Act request from the Associated Press.

What Happened?

New surveillance footage shows Dao boarding the flight from Chicago to Louisville, Kentucky on April 9.

Audio from post-boarding reveals how gate workers called airport security to forcibly remove Dao from the plane, who refused to give up his seat to make room for crew members.

“Were they drinking, were they doing anything like that?” the dispatcher asks in the call.

“No it’s something with an onversold, involunteer [sic] something like that,” the caller responds.

“Oh you guys overbooked the flight? This is a departing flight?” the dispatcher asks.

“Yeah,” the caller responds.

The surveillance footage then features an aviation security car pulling up to the plane and guards boarding the flight. Soon after, Dao’s wife is seen running off the plane and then quickly getting back on board.

Video from the initial incident show Dao refusing to relinquish his seat, saying that he had patients to treat the next morning. One of three officers than physically yanks Dao from his seat and drags him down the aisle and off the plane. Once back at the gate, Dr. Dao then ran back on the plane and refused to move again.

The security guard involved shared his side of the story in the footage and audio released by the AP.

In the report, Long said he was called to the flight in response to a disturbance involving two people regarding a refusal to leave the aircraft. United has said four passengers had been ordered off the airplane to make room for four employees to fly to Louisville, Kentucky.

Long said he asked Dr. David Dao, 69, to get off the plane. Long said Dao refused and “folded his arms tightly.” Long said he then reached out to “hold” Dao and was able to pull him away from his window seat on the aircraft and move toward the aisle.

“But suddenly the subject started flailing and fighting,” Long wrote.

Dao then knocked Long’s hand off his arm, causing the struggling Dao to fall and strike his mouth on an arm rest on the other side of the aisle, according to the report. He claims that he then dragged Dao because due to the Doctor’s refusal to stand up.

Long said he wrote the report because he faced being fired. In a separate report released Monday, noted as a “Hospitalization Case Report,” the Chicago Police Department said Dao was seen striking his face against an armrest as officers “attempted to escort” him from the flight. Neither report comments on Dao’s injuries, but at a news conference days after the ordeal, Dao’s attorney said he suffered a broken nose and a concussion and lost two front teeth.

Long said once he removed Dao from the plane, the doctor said he was a diabetic, but then got up off the floor and sprinted back onto the aircraft. The officer alleges that Dao said they’d have to kill him while running back to the plane. Long was one of three aviation officers who were placed on leave after the incident.

Who Is David Dao?

David Dao is a 69-year-old grandfather and doctor. He is Vietnamese-American and previously worked at Hardin Memorial Hospital before opening his own medical practice. Per The Daily Mail, Dao’s wife Teresa, 69, is a pediatrician who trained at Ho Chi Minh University in Saigon and now practices in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Their eldest son Tim, 34, practices medicine in Texas; their second son Ben, 31, is a medical graduate; their daughter Christine, 33, is a doctor in Durham, NC; and their youngster daughter Angela, 27, is a medical graduate of the University of Kentucky.

However, Dao had his medical license suspended for more than a decade for illegally prescribing patients with painkillers. He spent more than two years in prison in the early 2000s for his past convictions. In 2003, he was charged with 98 counts of illegally prescribing and trafficking prescription painkillers such as hydrocodone, Oxycontin and Percocet.

Dao was caught on surveillance video meeting patients and supplying them with painkillers, mainly hydrocodone.

According to a criminal complaint on at least one occasion, Dao received $174 in exchange for the pills in an unlabeled bottle. From 2001-2003, Dao “unlawfully prescribed controlled substances” to patients, court documents said. The criminal complaint continued that Dao would solicit homosexual relations with a male patient in exchange for a prescription for hydrocodone.

Dao was arrested by police at a hotel room in Jefferson County on July 25, 2003. He was ultimately convicted of six charges.

In March 2016, board chair C. William Briscoe agreed to allow Dao to resume his practice of medicine in Kentucky.

Bachelor star Chris Soules has been accused of leaving the scene of a deadly crash, according to the Buchanan County Jail. Soules was booked into the jail at 1:16 a.m., on a criminal charge of leaving the scene of an accident at which a death occurred, the jail told The Register.

What Happened?

According to KWWL, The Bachelor star Chris Soules has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash Monday night in which he allegedly left the scene.

Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a call around 8:20 P.M. Monday that a pickup truck had collided with a tractor north of Aurora in Buchanan County, Deputy Cory Hartman, who responded to the scene, said.

Identities of the victim and the pickup driver and the medical condition of the pickup driver were not available Monday night.

The tractor driver was an older man, Hartmann said, and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein, where he was pronounced dead.

Who Is Chris Soules?

Chris Soules appeared on the 10th season of ABC’s The Bachelorette in 2014 and was selected in early 2015 for the 19th season of The Bachelor. Soules, a farmer, is from Arlington, Iowa. Heather Lee Robertson, a Texas teacher and a mother of two, has been arrested for allegedly having sex with four high school students, including having a threesome with two of the boys.

Robertson, 38, of Lufkin, Texas, was taken into custody on Saturday and charged with four counts of improper relationship between educator and student.

According to an arrest warrant, the investigation into the Hudson Independent School District teacher began on April 20 when Lufkin police got a tip about Robertson’s alleged involvement with several of her students.

According to the warrant, on Thursday, April 20, the Hudson Independent School District police received information that Robertson had allegedly been sexually involved with several high school students. After obtaining the names of the students who were possibly sexually involved with Robertson, police questioned each one.

One of the students told police that he and Robertson began “chatting and sexting” on Snapchat shortly after spring break, the warrant stated. At some point, Robertson reportedly asked him to come over to her apartment to have sex. The boy then told Robertson that a friend was with him and asked if it was OK if he came over, too, and she said it was fine, the student told police.

The boys said that when they arrived to the apartment, Robertson was lying on the couch vaping, according to the warrant. After speaking with the boys for a few minutes, Robertson told them to follow her to her bedroom, where she began taking off her clothes before having sex with both students at the same time, according to the warrant.

The boys told police that there were two other students who had possibly been sexually involved with Robertson, the warrant stated. Police then spoke with the two other students, who said they had sex with her at her apartment on multiple occasions.

If convicted of her charges, Robertson faces up to 20 years in prison.

After early reports indicated that explosions were heard in a synagogue in Metz, France, around 4:00 P.M. local time and that a major police presence was sent to the scene at the lower part of the Hauts-de-Sainte-Croix district, reports are now stating that police carried out a controlled explosion of a suspicious vehicle.

A perimeter was established and the French army was on the scene.

The forces of order were called in number. They installed a security cordon around the place of worship which is located on the street of Rabbi Elie-Bloch. The army is also there. Two explosions were heard in the vicinity of the synagogue by witnesses.

According to our latest information, the device was lifted a quarter of an hour ago. The blasting would come from clearing a suspect car, located a few meters from the synagogue and reported to the police.

The deminers would have blown the trunk lock to make sure it contained nothing dangerous.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Known for his impressive production at the plate and awareness as a highly capable outfielder, Harper is a well rounded athlete that constantly contributes to his teams success on a regular basis. However, Harper’s rise to fame and recognition started when he was drafted by the Washington Nationals in 2010.

2010-2012

The second consecutive overall number one pick by the Nationals (pitcher Stephen Strasburg was taken first overall in 2009), Harper was an impressive athlete that had predominately been a catcher before being drafted. However, the Nationals decided to draft Harper as an outfielder so he could have an extended career while expediting his development so he could play in the majors earlier.

After excelling in the Nationals instructional league (.319 BA, .407 OBP, also led his team in hits, homers, RBI’s and walks), Harper was eventually selected to participate in the Arizona Fall League. Once again, Harper was a prolific contributor at the plate as he batted .343 and had a slugging percentage of .729. As a result, his fall league team, the Scottsdale Scorpions went on to win the 2010 Arizona Fall League championship. After a fantastic spring training debut, Harper was optioned to Class-A Hagerstown Suns where he got off to a somewhat disconcerting slow start. However, after visiting an optometrist, Harper was prescribed contact lenses due to poor vision. Harper batted .480 while collecting seven home runs, 10 doubles and 23 RBI’s in his next 20 games.

After participating in spring training in 2012, Harper was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse, where he played exclusively at the center field position. In late April, Harper was called up by the Nationals after Ryan Zimmerman was placed on the disabled list. A couple of week later, Harper became the first teenager since 1964 to steal home plate in a game against the Philadelphia Phillies. His impressive output during the first half of the regular season earned Harper candidacy in the All-Star Final Vote, the winner of which goes on to fill the final roster spot in the MLB All-Star game. While Harper finished third in the voting, he was able to make the roster when Giancarlo Stanton had to have knee surgery. This allowed Harper to obtain the accolade of being the youngest position player to make an All-Star roster.

Starting the second half of the season, Harper became over aggressive at the plate and hit just .176 with 23 strikeouts in 116 plate appearances. However, Harper’s performance improved in August and his final stat line of 22 home runs, 98 runs scored, .340 on base percentage and .477 slugging percentage were the best regular season totals for a teenager in 45 years. While the Nationals would go on to lose to the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS, Harper was awarded for his individual accomplishments when he won the NL Rookie of The Year award.

2013-2015

Starting the 2013 season, Harper picked up right where he left off as he hit two runs against the Miami Marlins on Opening Day. Over the course of the regular season, Harper improved his OBP by 20 points while maintaining the hitting prowess he exhibited during his rookie season. He was once again selected to participate in the All-Star game, this time as a starter. His power numbers also earned him a place in the Home Run Derby where he eventually lost to Yoenis Cespedes in the final round. Harper became the second youngest player to participate in the event and was the youngest player ever to reach the final round.

Although Harper missed most of the first half of the 2014 season due to a torn ligament in this thumb that needed surgery, he still was productive with a BA of .273 along with 13 home runs and 32 RBI’s.

Finally healthy, Harper came into the 2015 season with a bang as he hit a 461-foot home run (longest of his career) against the Phillies on April 18. That early season blast would epitomize the type of season Harper would have as he would go on to hit three home runs in one game against the Miami Marlins on May 6 (youngest player to accomplish feat since Joe Lahoud in 1969). Harper’s electrifying performances (both on paper and on the field) allowed him to lead the majors in WAR (wins above replacement) while tying for the NL home run title with 42. On November 19, Harper was selected by a unanimous decision as the 2015 NL Most Valuable Player (youngest player to unanimously win award at age 23).

2016-Present

Two weeks into the 2016 season, Harper hit his first career grand slam against the Atlanta Braves. However, after a red hot start in April, Harper was walked six straight times against the Chicago Cubs on May 8, tying an MLB record for most walks in a game. After being held in check by the Cubs, Bryce Harper struggled to be a prominent hitter in the Nationals line up as he finished the season with .243 BA, 24 home runs and 86 RBI’s. While these number are not terrible, by the standards of the tenacious Harper they were fairly lackluster. Despite winning the NL East, the Nationals would eventually lose to the Dodgers in the 2016 NLDS.

In 2017, Harper has been supremely locked in as he already has seven home runs along with 20 RBI’s on the season. Unlike last year, Harper has been significantly better at being strategically aggressive at the plate (.400 BA thus far). Ultimately, Harper has to prove that he can sustain this type of prolific success throughout the course of an entire season. If Harper can be patient at the plate, he could very well have a career year while contending for the NL MVP Award.

The years following, it seemed like Earnhardt hit a rut, as he was not able to recapture the victories he had had the previous season. Yet, his following and fandom still seemed to stay true with this driver, as even with lackluster finishes year after year, he still won the NMPA Check most popular driver for five straight years.

2008 – 2012

Earnhardt decided to start anew and left his father’s company DEI, due to both not having majority control of the company and how the cars provided by the company always broke down. Earnhardt started a deal Hendrick Motorsports so that he could get the crew, car, and parts to start winning again. While he was able to win some minor events in the 2008 season, Earnhardt failed to win that year’s Daytona, coming in ninth. The season would not yield better results than the previous years, as Earnhardt failed to win any events. It was not until the 2011 season that Earnhardt started to shine once again. He was able to have many top ten finishes that season and was able to qualify for the Sprint cup. Though he was not able to win the cup, it proved to be a better season for the drive.

2012 – 2016

In the 2012 Daytona 500, Earnhardt was able to finish second. He was able to pull a win in the 2012 Quicken Loans 400, which was his first one since 2008. However crashes and car failure seemed to plagued Earnhardt for the rest of the season, as he was not able to find success. A concussion in that season also marked the first time since he started his career in 2000 that he missed a race. Earnhardt was able to win the Daytona 500 in 2014, which was the only winning success that Earnhardt would have in the following years, but he still remained a fan-favorite. In 2015, he won the most popular driver award for the thirteenth consecutive year.

2016 – 2017

Earnhardt was able to win the 2016 Xfinity race in Richmond, coming in second in the heat race and winning the main event. Yet, the concussion that he got back in 2012 seemed to flair back up again due to crashes during the season. Earnhardt was sidelined for the remainder of the racing season. In 2017, he was able to place second in the seeding for the Daytona 500, but due to crashes and collisions, finished the race in thirteenth place. 2017 also brings the end of Dale Earnhardt’s career, when he will finish out the season and then retire. Don’t feel too bad for the driver as he has a nice retirement fund to sit on and career venture to continue on with. He also recently got married to his longtime girlfriend Amy Reinmann, so Earnhardt has a lot of things to look forward to after this season.

Am I surprised that the stars of Game Of Thrones are being paid by the truckload? No, of course not. We’re talking about the grandest, most expensive, visually dazzling show on television, that when it’s all said and done, may be considered the greatest television show of all time.

But almost TWO AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS AN EPISODE?!? For those at home who don’t have the gigantic math brain that I have, that’s about $30 million for each cast member for the next 13 episodes. Not a bad haul for a group of actors who were largely unknowns before the show started.

Now, the real question here is, how many of these five survive through the end of the show? I’m telling you right now, Jaime and Cersei are donezo. Jamie is going to have to off Cersei at some point this season, and then in the final season, he will (hopefully) have a hero’s death. While we all know Cersei is going to go out gruesomely, one way or the other, but it will be interesting to see how the show handles Jaime’s death. Remember, Jaime started off a full-blown heel, morphed into an anti-hero, and is now essentially one of the main heroes of the show. Will the writers treat him as such?

That leaves us with the big three,: Jon Snow, Daenerys, and Tyrion.

The best bet to die, in all likelihood, is Jon. I think the idea of Tyrion, the perpetually underestimated dwarf, surviving all the chaos of the show is a very appealing idea to the writers. As for Daenerys, she’s as close to untouchable as it gets, given the fact that she’s always riding a dragon.

That leaves us with Jon, who in all likelihood, will die before the show’s end. The dude wants to die, and we all know deep down that the strongest emotional punch Thrones can possibly deliver is by sending Snow to pasture.

God damn I can’t wait for this show to come back.

Drake has been named as the host of the inaugural NBA Awards on June 26. Cue the audible groans from sports fans nationwide.

Look, Drake is a very entertaining and charismatic fellow (even if his recent album just got totally outclassed by Kendrick Lamar’s) who did a very fine job at the 2014 ESPY Awards. But the ultra-successful Canadian rapper doesn’t have the best track record with sports fans thanks to repeated faux pas and unintentional hilarity.

What specifically am I referring to? Well, Drake has been involved in a number of irksome sports moments that we feel we should review given today’s announcement. Here are five off the top of the head.

5. Drake Is DeMarcus Cousins’ Trophy Wife

No matter who you are, you’re always going to look funny interacting with a 7-foot tall monster when you’re just an average-sized human. But Drake inexplicably made this awkward 2010 post-game interview even worse by sweetly nuzzling into Cousins’ sweaty armpit. Then he just stands there with this goofy smile on his face for a full two-minutes. The whole thing is just weird.

Naturally, the Internet had a fun time with this one.

4. Captain Air Ball

You know that saying, “All rappers want to be ballers?” I think Drake took it a bit too literally.

The singer/rapper has always been a big-time University of Kentucky bandwagoner, which should have warned Coach Calipari off from ever indulging him. Unfortunately, Calipari let Drake take part in UK’s layup line and, well, let’s just say Drake isn’t quite “Steph Curry with the shot.”

3. No-Go, Drake

Again, Drake is a musical artist. He isn’t a professional athlete or an agent or a manager or a team employee. Why would he ever think that his fame would grant him access to NBA locker rooms? I don’t know.

But such was the case in 2013 when Drake tried and failed to go into the Miami Heat locker room after a playoff game. I don’t know what’s more hilarious: the fact that he thought he could get in no problem or the look of confusion and surprise on his face when he’s denied.

2. Keep Rollin’, Rollin’, Rollin’

Drake was sitting courtside at a Toronto Raptors playoff game when he busted out a lint roller to work on his pants. First of all, who the hell walks around with a lint roller at all times, especially at an NBA game? Second of all, dude, it’s the playoffs…get your eyes on the game! Third of all, why are you such a douche sometimes?

Unsurprisingly, the Brooklyn Nets would go on to win this series. I blame Drake’s pants.

Gareon Conley, a 21-year-old superstar cornerback at Ohio State and projected first-round pick in this week’s NFL Draft, has been named in a police report by a woman who claims she was raped by Conley in a Cleveland hotel. Conley has adamantly denied the allegations.

What Happened?

According to a filed police report, a 23-year-old white female told authorities that Conley violated her in a hotel suite bathroom at a Westin hotel on April 9. The accuser says she met Conley in an elevator and he asked her to have a foursome with another friend of his. The woman says she declined the offer, but said she would watch the other people have sex instead.

Shortly after, the woman claims Conley unbuttoned her pants and began to have sex with her. She says she told him, “No, stop, it hurts!” but he continued. She says he then kicked her out of the hotel room.

She called 911 and told them she had been assaulted by a “black male who wouldn’t take his sunglasses off and had an Ohio State tattoo on his left forearm.”

The woman said she went to a local hospital afterwards where a rape kit was administered. She did not, however, speak to police.

Two of Conely’s friends who were at the hotel were interviewed by police and told cops the cornerback never hooked up with the woman and that she was upset that she got kicked out of the room.

Conley’s attorney spoke with Cleveland19 and denied the allegations calling the accusations “ludicrous and ridiculous.”

Cops are investigating but so far no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.

Look, anyone who says Kim Kardashian isn’t attractive is just a liar. You could write an entire university-level thesis on why Kim Kardashian is definitively not attractive, and all I’ll do is clean the drool off my mouth from my 1000th time watching Kim K Superstar. As much as you might dislike her and the Evil Empire, if you’re reading this article, I already know there’s an 11/10 chance that you totally would smash over and over again if the opportunity presented itself.

But that isn’t really what we’re talking about here. Cause while Kim Kardashian may objectively still be ‘hot’, whatever the hell is happening with her ass is another story entirely. Have you seen these latest unairbrushed photos? The only reasonable explanation to what’s happening to the backside of Kim Kardashian is that something is living in there. Not living in her ass in the sexual way — the way you and I would — but more like the way a malevolent alien creature would until it was ready to unleash itself on the world.

That’s right folks, Alien, a franchise whose latest film, Alien: Covenant, comes out in just a short few weeks.

You know what this screams to me? Marketing. The movie preceding this, Prometheus, received a limp-dick reaction from both critics and fans alike. Combine that with the fact that this latest movie has the name ‘Alien’ IN the title and hype is still relatively low, and you have yourself a marketing campaign nightmare. And I haven’t even mentioned the fact that the director, Ridley Scott, has been on a decade-long cold streak (sans American Gangster and The Martian).

So, how does a film franchise with a ton of history but little hype reinvigorate the franchise? By recruiting the most buzzworthy names in the world- the Kardashians — for their next installment.

Now, I don’t know if the next Alien film is being filmed on location inside of Kim Kardashian’s butt cheeks, or it is simply where they are growing the next terrifying creature, but I do know this — it is not a coincidence that these un-airbrushed photos leaked just a couple of weeks before the premiere of Covenant.

I once wrote that Kim’s half-sister, Kylie Jenner, had given up on pretending she was made of human DNA. It appears as though Kim has given up pretending to be human altogether.

Or, Kim Kardashian’s ass is just plain falling off from years of surgery.

Atlanta police are investigating the shooting deaths of two men in southeast Atlanta, a spokesman said.

What Happened?

Two bodies were found with fatal gunshot wounds on Nolan Street, according to Channel 2 Action News.

No other details were made available at this time.
