And no, I’m not talking about that goofy ass Easter Bunny looking for some free carrots. A nine-foot alligator weighing between 200-300 pounds stopped by the family’s porch to give them some friendly interior design advice.

Under head coach Tom Izzo, Green was able to transform from a one-dimensional defensive forward into a double-double machine that could contribute just as effectively on the offensive end. Primarily coming off of the bench his freshman and sophomore years, Green became one of the most valuable defensive assets in college basketball. Averaging 9.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.2 steals per game his sophomore year, Green went on to be the first player in Michigan State history to be named the Big Ten Sixth Man of The Year.

As a junior, Green averaged 12.6 points per game and became the third Michigan State basketball player behind Magic Johnson and Charlie Bell to record a triple-double in a season.

During his senior year, Green led the Spartans to a regular season Big Ten championship and eventually helped the Spartans win the Big Ten tournament as well. Averaging a double (16.2 PPG, 10.6 RPG), Green was named the Big Ten Player of The Week four times; no other Michigan State basketball player has won the award more than three times in one season. On March 5, 2012, Green was named the Big Ten Player of The Year. Green would go on to end his career at Michigan State as one of three players in school history to record over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.

2012 – 2015

After being drafted with the 35th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, Green was quickly able to garner ample playing time as a rookie. In the wake of injuries to Brandon Rush and Richard Jefferson, Green was averaging between 15-20 minutes per game by November 22. During the first round of the 2013 NBA Playoffs against the Denver Nuggets, Green’s offensive contributions were monumental in helping the Warriors win the series in six games. Although the Warriors would go on to lose to the San Antonio Spurs in six games in the following round, Green proved that he could be a catalyst for success, particularly in the postseason.

During the offseason, Green lost 20 pounds and showed impressive improvements in both his three-point shooting and defense. Green went on to play in all 82 games of the regular season and once again was a vital component in the Warriors staying competitive against the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the playoffs. While the Warriors would go on to lose the series in seven games, Green received high praise for his effectiveness as a defensive juggernaut. He averaged 1.7 steals and 1.7 blocks during the first round playoff series.

The start of the 2014-2015 season saw Green finally come into his own as a consistent starter. With David Lee starting off the season with a hamstring injury, Green was promoted to the starting lineup as a power forward. After starting the season with a 5-2 record, the Warriors would go on to win their next 16 matchups with Green averaging 13.3 points per game during the win streak. By the end of the season, Green finished runner-up in both the Defensive Player Of The Year Award and Most Improved Player Award. Green was able to cap off the best season of his career by winning the NBA championship. In game six of the NBA Finals, Green stepped in as a center for Andrew Bogut and recorded a triple-double in that game.

2016 – Present

After a sensational year with the Warriors in 2015, Green signed a five-year, $82 million contract to stay with Golden State in the offseason. Not only did Green help the Warriors to their first 10-0 start in franchise history, he contributed effectively by posting an impressive record of 11.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game during that stretch. As Green continued to put up dazzling numbers, he became the first non-guard since Grant Hill (1996-1997) to record 13 triple-doubles in a single season. While Green and the Warriors eventually lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals (during which Green missed a critical game five due to accumulating his fourth flagrant foul in the playoffs), Green took a major step towards becoming the one of the most versatile power forwards in the NBA. Despite regressing slightly during the 2016-2017 regular season, statistically speaking, Green continued to assert himself as a fearless defensive phenom and became the only player to record a triple-double while scoring less than 10 points in NBA history (12 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals against the Memphis Grizzlies on February 10, 2017). As of the 2017 NBA Playoffs, Green put up 19 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, five blocked shots and three steals in a game one victory over the Portland Trailblazers.

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Matt ‘Rosey’ Anoa’i passed away Monday at the age of 47. He’s the older brother of WWE star Roman Reigns. His cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Matt first arrived on the WWE scene, back in 2002. He began his career, portraying a thug/henchman in the faction 3 Minute Warning. He later showed the WWE audience his softer side during his tag team with The Hurricane. Rosey was known as the S.H.I.T. aka “Super Hero In Training” before he became a full superhero. Together, they won the WWE World Tag Team Championship on a May 2005 pay per view known as Backlash. They held onto the gold for 140 days.

After a feud with his former tag team partner, Rosey was released by the WWE on March 21, 2006.

Rosey comes from the Anoa’i wrestling family. This famed dynasty has produced phenomenal talent, such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Rikishi, The Wild Samoans, Roman Reigns, and many more.

In 2007, Anoa’i participated in a reality series called Fat March. This series consisted of overweight people in their attempt to walk 550 miles, lose weight, and win the grand prize of $1.2 million. At the time, Matt was looking to lose weight, with the goal of returning to the ring.

Matt was hospitalized back in 2014 for congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation. He had 62 pounds of liquid drained from his body. His heart was enlarged and functioning at 25 percent.

We currently don’t know the cause of death for Matt ‘Rosey’ Anoa’i. We’ll keep you updated once that information is made available.

Langston University is currently on lockdown while police search for the suspect who shot a Logan County police officer.

What Happened?

A Logan County Sheriff’s deputy was serving an eviction notice around 8:42 A.M. Tuesday morning to Nathan Aaron Leforce, 45, when he shot the deputy multiple times in the face and body. Leforce allegedly then stole the officer’s vehicle and fled the scene.

The cruiser was then parked at Smitty’s One Stop near Highway 33 and Henney Road, where Leforce is said to have stolen a 2010 Mazda 3. The Mazda was later found abandoned near County Road 76 and Jaxton Road. Leforce has not yet been found.

As such, the nearby Langston University as well as Muhall and Coyle public schools were both put on lockdown. The FBI is on-scene investigating and providing assistance.

Leforce is described as a white male wearing a black shirt with tattoos on his neck.

UPDATE 3:34 P.M. ET – Leforce has been apprehended by police.

The deputy, who was transferred to OU Medical Center, has reportedly died.

Kimberly Tze, a 21-year-old University of California-Berkeley honors student has died after falling off of a balcony.

Authorities say that Tze fell from a fourth-floor balcony just after 12:00 A.M. on Monday, April 17, on the 2700 block of Dwight Way, across the street from student housing. She was taken to a county hospital where she was later pronounced dead from severe head trauma.

Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances of Tze’s death, including a toxicology test and an autopsy.

According to her LinkedIn, Tze, of Elk Grove, California, was a junior honors student majoring in computer science and a former software engineering intern at Originate.

In a statement issued Monday, UC Berkeley said the campus community was “deeply saddened by the tragic death.”

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kimberly’s family and friends during this difficult time,” the university said.

In June 2015, six people were killed and seven others were injured when a fifth-floor balcony at the Library Gardens apartments near UC Berkeley buckled and fell 40 feet to the concrete below. Among the six killed were five college students from Ireland.

Furthermore, according to the Berkeley Side, Tze was a member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon, an international honor society for the computer sciences, and a member of UC Berkeley’s Gamma Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega.

UC Berkley has said that counseling services were available for students, staff, and faculty and that they also planned to reach out to Tze’s family to offer their continued support.

Torrance Elementary School in Torrance California was evacuated Tuesday morning due to a possible bomb threat, according to authorities.

What Happened?

Torrance police said they were investigating the threat with the help of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s explosives trained K-9 unit. The threat occurred around 10:15 A.M. PCT, though officers have not confirmed if the threat is credible.

UPDATE 3:12 P.M. EST – Police have cleared Torrance Elementary School after sweeping the school and finding no harmful materials. Classes will resume.

An alert acknowledging the threat was sent by the city around 11:00 A.M. PCT.

The Torrance Police Department released the following statement on their Facebook page:

Students and staff were evacuated to the athletic field in a “precautionary” measure, officials stated.

“Student safety is our priority and all students and staff are safe. We appreciate parent patience as we deal with this situation. We will send out an update as soon as we have additional information,” the district said in a statement.

The six-seed Milwaukee Bucks shocked the three-seed Toronto Raptors on their home court in Game 1, picking up an impressive 97-83 victory in front of a hostile road crowd. Toronto took a 51-46 lead into halftime, but Milwaukee really clamped down on the defensive end in the second half. The Raptors were limited to a paltry total of 32 points in the third and fourth quarters, as they shot just 20% from the floor. The huge Bucks win broke a long-running drought while extending Toronto’s streak of Game 1 incompetence.

Unsurprisingly, Giannis Antetokounmpo carried the load for the Bucks. The 22-year-old scored 28 points on 13-of-18 shooting from the floor while adding eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block. The man is a real life cheat code.

For the Raptors, DeMar DeRozan lead the way with 27 points on 7-of-21 shooting from the floor. While he wasn’t very efficient, he did make 13-of-14 from the charity stripe and chip in eight rebounds. But his backcourt mate Kyle Lowry was totally awful, scoring just four points on 2-of-11 shooting from the floor.

Madison has been in the news lately for dating Michael Porter Jr. Porter was a high school basketball superstar, who will head to the University of Missouri after being ranked as the #1 recruit in the 2017 class. Baylor University has announced that Dr. Linda Livingstone has been named as the new university president.

What Happened?

Livingstone was elected by the board of regents in a unanimous decision, following the recommendation of the 12-member Presidential Search Committee.

She will be Baylor University’s 15th president and the school’s first female president.

“I chose to begin my academic career at Baylor in significant part because of Baylor’s Christian mission. To return to Baylor to partner with the exceptional faculty, staff, students and administrators to fulfill the University’s vision to be a top-tier research institution, committed to excellence in all aspects of University life, while strengthening the Christian mission is an opportunity I look forward to with enthusiasm,” Livingstone said.

She will begin her tenure on June 1 and succeeds interim president David E. Garland.

Who Is Dr. Linda Livingstone?

Livingstone returns to Baylor after serving as associate dean of graduate programs for the Hankamger School of Business in which she oversaw all graduate degree business programs. Dr. Livingstone was an associate professor in the department of management from 1997-2002 and an assistant professor in the same department from 1991-1997. She was also a member of the Faculty Athletics Council during her time at the school.

Livingstone currently serves as the dean and professor of management at The George Washington University School of Business. Before this, she spent 12 years at Pepperdine as dean of the Graziadio School of Business and Management.

“Dr. Livingstone brings an accomplished academic career to Baylor, combined with a strong appreciation and support of Baylor’s mission. A longtime Baptist and former Baylor faculty member, she has a passion for the distinctiveness of Baylor’s Christian mission in higher education,” chair of the Baylor Board of Regents Ronald Murff said.

“The Liar” Preview/Trailer

Game four is underway and the Sharks are hoping to tie the series up. After two stellar back-to-back games for the Oilers, San Jose needs to step up their game if they don’t want the series to slip away from them. While the Sharks were able to take the overtime win in game one, it just seems they have no luck putting the puck in the net. If the Oilers are able to win this game then they will get to head back to Edmonton with a 3-1 series lead, so the Sharks really need to step up their game if they want to stay in the postseason.

The Oilers just don’t seem to have an off button and are close to advancing to their first second round in over ten years. However, this young team can’t get too big for their britches, as they still need a decisive win tonight in order to keep their series lead. Edmonton should expect San Jose to come out shooting, so if the Oilers can fend off and wear the Sharks out, then they should be able to take game four. The Oilers are just playing great hockey and are starting to show the Caliber of a Stanley Cup winning team, though they have a long road to go.

The Sharks seem to be slipping up in their two most recent games. While San Jose was able to take game one, it seems they can’t do much against Edmonton. The eight-seed Chicago Bulls pulled off a massive upset in Game 1, beating the one-seed Celtics 106-102 in front of a raucous Boston crowd. But even though it’s always deflating to lose a Game 1 at home, history is still on the Celtics’ side.

Jimmy Butler was the hero for the Bulls on Easter Sunday, as he scored 30 points on 9-of-19 shooting from the floor while adding nine rebounds and three assists. 15 of Butler’s 30 points came in the fourth quarter, which is a pretty clutch way to score half of your points. Butler hit big shot after big shot down the stretch to lift the Bulls to victory.

Leading the way for the Celtics just like he has all season long was Isaiah Thomas. The point guard had a performance for the ages, scoring 33 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the floor, grabbing five rebounds, and dishing out six assists. It would have been a helluva night under any circumstances, but playing so well just a day after his sister passed away in a car accident was amazing. I can’t even imagine trying to play basketball after suffering such a heartbreaking tragedy.

Fresno Police say three people were killed and one person was injured in a Central Fresno shooting. Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer says the suspect, Kori Ali Muhammad, is in custody. He is also the suspect in the Motel 6 security guard homicide last Thursday.

What Happened?

A gunman murdered three strangers in downtown Fresno, California, while shouting Allahu Akbar, police said in a news conference.

The shooter was captured and has been named by police as Kori Muhammad (Kori Ali Muhammad), the suspect in the earlier slaying of a security guard at a Motel 6 last Thursday.

Muhammad shot randomly, “spraying rounds” at at a downtown crowd while shouting “Allahu Akbar.” Fesno police confirmed that three people were shot and killed in the attack.

According to the Fresno Bee, the Fresno gunman opened fire in the parking lot of “Catholic Charities at Divisadero and Fulton in downtown Fresno.”

The newspaper reported that the gunman appeared to be randomly targeting people, shooting a man in a front yard, and then another person at a bus stop, and then a man in the Catholic Charities parking lot.

A total of 16 rounds were fired in less than a minute in four different locations, Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said.

According to Dyer, Muhammad has written anti-government sentiments on social media as well as posts saying that he does not like white people. Fresno police are coordinating with the FBI, but it is unknown if this attack was terrorist-related.

Muhammad was already wanted in a separate slaying that occurred last Thursday.

NBC Bay Area reported that the weapon was a “revolver-style gun.” Witnesses told media that he paused to reload and was cursing as he shot at people in the parking lot.

One of the victims was driven to a nearby police station, but died shortly after.

“One of the victims was driven in a PG&E truck to the Fresno Police Department’s headquarters in downtown Fresno where he died,” KSEE24 reported.

Who Is Kori Ali Muhammad?

Kori Ali Muhammad, 39, is the gunman who killed three people in Fresno Tuesday and a security guard at a Motel 6 last Thursday. Muhammad is currently in police custody.

It means they get a little extra time to rest and get ready for the second round. That rest can give them an advantage over their opponent, which is the winner of the Capitals and Maple Leaf series. However, if the Penguins can’t win it tonight, they will still have three more shots at punching their ticket to the second, though I doubt it will take that long.

The Blue Jackets looked ready to explode in the postseason. After starting off the season strong, Columbus seemed to keep a steady pace all season long, and even looked like they could win their first playoff series. Playing the Penguins in the first round is not fun for any team, yet the Blue Jackets could have pulled off the upset and usurped the reigning champs. Things are looking very bleak for this team and their postseason could come to end in game four. Columbus may have to wait another year in order to try their hand at the playoffs. The only thing that this team can root for is to pull off the come-from-behind upset, which has happened in the playoffs before.

If you’re into action movies where somebody kills a bunch of terrorist scum to avenge the death of a loved one, then I’ve got just the film for you! In American Assassin, Dylan O’Brien plays Mitch Rapp, a CIA black ops recruit hellbent on murdering the jerks that killed his girlfriend. Rapp learns the tricks of the trade from Stan Hurley, who is played by the legendary Michael Keaton.

The film is based on Vince Flynn’s 2010 novel of the same name, and now that we know the gist of what American Assassin is all about, let’s take a peak at its official teaser trailer.

Who knew that the snarky nerd from The Internship was such a badass!? I guess during the entirety of Stuart Twombly’s internship he was just googling how to get jacked and throw knifes with precision. It’s a damn shame we didn’t get to see this intensity and laser-focus on the Quidditch pitch.

All jokes about a mediocre comedy aside, American Assassin looks like it’s going to be entertaining as hell. I’d probably shell out $12.50 to watch Michael Keaton play an inanimate object, so getting to see him as a grizzled killing machine is well worth the price of admission.

If you tuned in last week, you’re all caught up on Amy’s ex-boyfriend and his audit of the Nine-Nine precinct. Seeing Amy’s former fling only reinforced how perfect she and Jake are for one another and how much hilarity their relationship can provide for the show. It’s definitely not boring, like Amy’s ex.

Elsewhere, Gina returned after being hit by a bus and her breakdancing was a sight to behold. While we wish she would have been paired with Captain Holt a bit more, we can’t complain about the midseason premiere too much. The show is just too goofy and enjoyably goofy to not crack several smiles.
