Stephanie McMahon is that cold badass of a boss, who dominates her Queendom with an iron fish. She simply oozes confidence and charisma every time she is in front of the camera.

She’s that character the crowd loves to hate. She fits perfectly as Raw’s tyrannical commissioner. You don’t mess with Steph!

In 2003, Steph was crushing it as SmackDown’s general manager. Seriously, this was the time I started to develop a crush on Vinnie Mac’s daughter. Geez. Just take a look at this video, and you’ll understand why anyone would have the hots for Stephanie (the thumbnail doesn’t do her justice one bit, you’ll have to click on the clip for a real surprise):

Most recently, the WWE Universe saw Steph crash through a table at WrestleMania 33. But this wasn’t the first time she took a bump. She’s a McMahon dammit! Enough said.

Ms. McMahon is a former WWE Women’s Champion. She even bested Brie Bella at SummerSlam 2014. She’d much rather kick your ass then fire you. No wait…I take that back. Steph must have gotten the most wicked adrenaline rush from firing Foley.

Stephanie has been working for the WWE for almost 20 years. She started her career as an accountant and receptionist, and slowly moved up to one of the most prominent positions in the company.

She directed WWE’s creative team for much of the new millennium. Steph may have contributed more behind the scenes than she did in front of the camera, and that’s saying a lot.

Currently, Stephanie occupies the position of chief brand officer. She drives the WWE product home to investors, advertisers, the media, and business partners.

She is also the mother of three daughters. Her husband is “The Game” Triple H, who accidentally knocked into her at WrestleMania, causing Steph to fall off the ring apron and crash through a table. But don’t blame Trips. Blame Seth Rollins’ superkick.

Stephanie may be away from the limelight for now. But it won’t be long until Ms. McMahon is in front of a television screen again.

FX’s The Americans continues its fifth season tonight with episode #5, “Lotus 1-2-3.”

Last week saw Philip and Elizabeth begin to get close to their targets, though the work-obsessed mark Philip is pursuing is proving to be somewhat of a reclusive challenge. Elsewhere, Paige is continuing to hone her spy snooping skills while Pastor Tim and Alive are out of the house. Elizabeth is angry at first, but admits to Philip later it would be useful to have some dirt on him. On the other side of the world, Oleg knows he’s in a very dangerous position between the U.S. and Soviet governments even as Stan puts himself at risk back at home to protect him.

Rafael Schincariol, a 34-year-old Brazilian lecturer, was arrested after accusations that he violently raped a drunk graduate student at Tulane University in February 2017.

Schincariol, 34, spoke at the university just hours before the alleged attack as a representative for the Organization of America States Commission for Human Rights. The sexual assault was stopped by the victim’s boyfriend, who discovered Schincariol having sex with his girlfriend in their master bedroom when he returned home.

According to the Times-Picayne, an arrest affidavit, the victim said that while she did not know Schincariol, she agreed to show him around New Orleans as a favor to her academic advisor.

New Orleans Sex Crimes detective Claudia Bruce said that the victim’s only memories from the attack include being in ‘a lot of pain’ when Schincariol raped her anally on her living room floor.

The student told investigators she drank excessively, downing as many as nine alcoholic drinks, capped by a shot of tequila at the Appel Barrel bar in Faubourg Marigny. She said she was too intoxicated to drive, but accepted a ride home from Schincariol after he dropped off her girlfriends first and was given her address by them.

The grad student said she texted her live-in boyfriend around 2:30 a.m. to say that she had gotten a ride home from the guest speaker and that her boyfriend should thank him.

But the woman told police the next thing she remembered was being raped on the floor of her living room and experiencing “a lot of pain,” the report said. Her next memory, according to the report, was of her boyfriend screaming at her upon arriving home after getting off his job at 6 a.m. and finding Schincariol having sex with her.

Michael Strecker, a spokesman for Tulane, declined to comment on the arrest but did confirm that Schincariol visited the campus twice. Once when he spoke to a class on February 9, and a second time when he was giving his guest lecture February 10 in Joseph Merrick Jones Hall titled “Mobilizations of Youth, Artists and Collectives in Brazil.”

Schincariol, who was released on a $25,000 bond, faces up to 25 years in prison. He returns to court on April 27.

Opening Segment: Orton kicks off SmackDown

The crowd cheers when Orton’s music hits to begin SmackDown. But when he gets in the ring, the fans are split (some boos, some cheers). Orton calls himself Bray Wyatt’s master, and the Eater of Worlds will never forget his name. And then, the lights go out…

Wyatt appears on the screens, and tells Randy that he is the master of nothing. Wyatt is looking revenge, and he will get it in a “House of Horrors Match.” Orton is unfazed, and calls out the former champion to battle right now. But wait…Bray is standing right behind Orton. Wyatt drops Orton. The action spills outside the ring. Erick Rowan emerges out of nowhere with a sick steam-punk sheep mask.

The Wyatt Family gains the upper-hand on Orton until Luke Harper’s music hits and storms down to the ring to kick ass. He levels both Rowan and Bray.

The Miz & Maryse announce that they will call out John Cena tonight

The crowd goes nuts. They’re cheering and singing along to his song. The fans are treating this guy like a main event right out the gate.

Nakamura, clad in red leather, says absolutely nothing. But he didn’t need to.

Street Fight: Dean Ambrose vs. Baron Corbin

Corbin drives Ambrose into the corner and stomps away. Corbin throws Dean into the next corner and he repeats the violence. Ambrose rallies back, but Corbin is too strong.

The violence spills to the outside. Ambrose charges and knocks Corbin over the announcer’s table. Baron landed on his head!

As we come back from commercial break, there are so many weapons in the ring (chairs & tables). Corbin drives Ambrose through a table and into the turnbuckle. Corbin finds a leather strap under the ring and beats the hell outta Dean.

Ambrose battles back and lays the whoppin’ on Corbin with that damn strap. Dean gets another measure of retribution, after he elbow drops Corbin throw a table.

But in the end, Corbin spelled the End of Days for Ambrose

Shane calls SmackDown the land of opportunity,and suggest that every Raw superstar should be praying that they get drafted. AJ Styles interrupts Shane’s promo to tell him that he doesn’t want to leave. AJ considers SmackDown home. But Styles owes Shane something …a handshake and a sign of respect.

Main Event: The Wyatt Family vs. Randy Orton & Luke Harper

Orton tries to take Erick Rowan out early, but eats a spinkick for his troubles. As we come back from commercial break, Wyatt is destroying Orton. Randy gives Luke Harper the hot tag. Fans chant and cheer for Luke. The former Wyatt Family original takes out both Wyatt and Rowan. Harper then runs the ropes and does an insane dive to the outside onto Rowan.

Wyatt kills Luke’s momentum with a yuge clothesline. Rowan and Wyatt take over Harper in the ring, as Bray hits a senton and Rowan lands a big splash. However, Luke fights passed adversity. He dukes it out with Rowan.

Bray tags in and immediately goes after Harper. Luke fire back with a big boot, but Bray is quickly back on his feet. Wyatt knocks down Luke with another stiff shot, but Harper kicks out at 2. Wyatt tags in Rowan, who begins stomping on his former Wyatt brethren.

Luke fights back after he is cornered. But Rowan sends Luke sprawling with a dropkick and another big splash. Luke kicks out again. Rowan tags in Wyatt.

Bray beat on Harper with some more stiff shots and a headlock. But a powerful side-slam silence Wyatt’s onslaught. Rowan gets the tag. But so does Orton…

Randy starts kicking ass immediately. He drops Rowan with a powerslam. Wyatt saves his partner from eating a DDT from the second rope. But Orton does that DDT on Bray instead.

Orton is about to hit an RKO, but the lights go out because of some Wyatt Family magic. When the lights turn back on, Bray is gone. Well, he’s not in the ring anymore at least. Wyatt is lying out on the ramp looking up at his opponents.

Rowan tries to surprise Orton. Big mistake….Erick eats an RKO.

The sequel to Avatar will begin shooting later this year, according to Sigourney Weaver. In other news, Ghost in the Shell didn’t completely bomb at the box office last weekend!

Oh, I’m sorry, I thought we were saying things that were laughably ridiculous. My mistake.

Weaver, who starred in the James Cameron-directed original in 2009, told The Hollywood Reporter that the film will start shooting this fall.

“We’re starting! We’re starting training, and we’re starting – hmm, I probably can’t say anything. We Will be actually shooting it by the fall.”

Excuse me if I’m not quite buying what Weaver is selling. A sequel to Avatar has long been discussed, but production delays and release date push backs have become as common as Toruk Makto legends. Cameron has said repeatedly over the years that scrips for four planned sequels were completed, yet nothing has come of it. The movie was finally expected to hit theaters around Christmas 2018, before the director put the kibosh on that.

But Weaver keeps pushing onward.

“I’m telling you, these scripts are so amazing, I’m not worried about [disappointing fans] at all,” she said. “Am I worried about how we’re going to bring them to life? Yes, because they’re so ambitious. They’re so worth it. They’re well worth waiting for. I’m not worried about that at all. We’re trying to get it done as quickly as possible.”

The original Avatar grossed $2.7 million at the global box office, a record that still stands. But color me unimpressed (just don’t color me blue like those Pandorans). Amazing effects don’t make up for an unoriginal story, awful acting and a flat plot. At this point, does anyone really want this sequel?

Nakamura strutted to the ring as only he can. He laid down in the ring to soak up the exhilaration from the crowd. He stood up, looked at the camera and didn’t say a single word. That’s powerful.

Who’s Shinsuke Nakamura?

He’s the insanely-popular performer decked out in red leather. He’s a former 2-time NXT Champion. He was a powerhouse in Japan for over a decade before ever stepping foot in any WWE or NXT ring.

He received his start in New Japan Pro Wrestling in Japan, where he remained for over a decade, earning numerous championships. He’s fought Brock Lesnar in the Tokyo Dome way before Suplex City even existed. He’s a former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, soon to be WWE World Heavyweight Champion someday.

Students at Harvard University have created a school to resist Donald Trump, whatever that means.

Called the ‘Resistance School,’ it isn’t an official part of the university, but they do promise to teach activists how to ‘resist’ the president in a four-week course. The Resistance School says its goal is to ‘effectively fight Trump’s agenda.’

Over the course of four sessions, the Resistance School claims its goal is to teach students how to communicate their values in political advocacy, mobilize and organize our communities, structure and build capacity for action, and sustain the resistance long-term.

We are a group of progressive graduate students at Harvard who came together in response to the election of Donald Trump, with a desire to help transform our country to better reflect our shared values.

Our team includes former staffers from the Obama, Bernie, and Hillary presidential election campaigns; community organizers; advocates for human rights, campaign finance reform, and veterans’ affairs; and journalists for publications in the US and abroad.  Of note, Resistance School is an independently organized project developed by students at Harvard University.  It is not an official course or offering of Harvard University or any of its schools.

Co-founder Shanoor Seervai, a student at Harvard’s Kennedy School, told CNN the idea came from overwhelming emotions at the time of the election.

“Resistance School started with a couple of students chatting with a couple of professors, having a sense of outrage and despair and beginning to feel overwhelmed and exhausted with the question of ‘What are we going to do after the election?'” explained Shanoor Seervai, a student at Harvard’s Kennedy School and one of the cofounders of Resistance School

“On November 8, we lost more than just the presidency. We lost yet more ground in the decades-long campaign against progressive values. Republicans now control the Senate, House, and more state legislatures than they have in almost 200 years. Those losses have emboldened the right to launch an all-out attack against our nation’s creed – that all are created equal.

Like so many Americans, the election moved us – a group of progressive graduate students at Harvard – to ask ourselves: How can we most effectively fight Trump’s agenda?

What we came up with: Resistance School.

Ziad Ahmed, a Bangladeshi-American high school student, claims he was accepted into Stanford after writing #BlackLivesMatter 100 times for the essay portion of his application.

Ahmed, a student at the Princeton Day School in New Jersey, tweeted his acceptance, as well as proof of his essay. The essay question asked: ‘What matters to you, and why?’

Stanford University seemed thrilled by Ziad’s application, sending him this reply:

That’s not to say that Ahmed didn’t have a killer resume.

According to Mic, Ahmed has already worked on Hillary Clinton’s campaign and been invited to the White House during Obama’s administration. Furthermore, he has also spoken at Tedx conferences around the world about what it’s like being a Muslim in America.

“I was actually stunned when I opened the update and saw that I was admitted,” Ahmed said in an email. “I didn’t think I would get admitted to Stanford at all, but it’s quite refreshing to see that they view my unapologetic activism as an asset rather than a liability.”

Ahmed, who is unsure about which major to choose, was also accepted to Yale and Princeton. Ahmed says he is interested in international relations, cognitive science, economics, and comparative studies in race and ethnicity.

The unlikely success stories of Hollywood always interest me.

Just look at Get Out. The acclaimed directorial debut from Jordan Peele (half of Key & Peele) was made for just $4.5 million dollars, and so far, has made nearly $160 million domestically.

Another example of those unlikely money factories is The Purge franchise. In fact, you could argue the success of The Purge franchise paved the way for low-budget horror films like Get Out. Beginning with 2013’s Ethan Hawke-starring The Purge, the first film was made on a $3 million budget and grossed nearly $90 million. The second movie was made on a $9 million budget and raked in over $111 million. Finally, 2016’s The Purge: Election Year was made for a similarly slim $10 million and brought in another $110 million.

For those at home who aren’t slick with numbers, that’s about a $310 million return on a $22 million investment. Quite the score for the wigs.

And now, the little franchise that could is moving to TV.

Blumhouse, the company behind The Purge franchise, announced that the series is going become a TV show. James DeMonaco, who wrote and directed all three movies, will oversee the series.

It was also announced that Blumhouse Television will be the lead studio on Secure and Hold: The Last Days Of Roger Ailes, a limited scripted series in development at Showtime about the Fox News founder.

Ahead of his duties on the Purge television show, DeMonaco has cowritten with B.K. Evenson the horror novel Feral, about a disease which turns the world’s male population into animal-like killers.

Furthermore, a fourth The Purge film is planned for summer of 2018.

While Thursday Night Football is always going to suck, this is great news for one reason and one reason only: the end of cable television.

Cable television is going to be the next Blockbuster. Once something we couldn’t live without, it’s become antiquated, expensive, and inconvenient. With all the streaming services out there, people are becoming cord cutters, only paying for streaming services.

However, one of the few things that holds people back from cutting their cords is live sports. It’s why my friends and I still pay for cable. That all started to change last year when the NFL auctioned off the rights to stream some Thursday Night Football games to Twitter for the price of $10 million.

This season, for five times that amount, those rights have gone to Amazon.

Amazon is paying around $50 million for the 10 games it will show next fall, according to a personfamiliar with the deal. That’s a big increase from the $10 million Twitter paid for last year’s games.

 The rest of the deal is roughly similar to the one Twitter had last year: CBS and NBC will each broadcast five games, and Amazon will stream the networks’ coverage, including their ads. Amazon will have the rights to sell a handful of ad slots per game. Amazon says it may sell ads for those slots, but says it will also use them to promote the company’s other video offerings.

Amazon won’t have exclusive streaming rights for the games. CBS and NBC will also have the ability to stream the games they broadcast, and Verizon will stream the games to its wireless subscribers.

While the viewership of Thursday night games on CBS and NBC still crushed the Twitter viewership, more games being sold for five times the original cost shows that the demand for streaming games is growing.

And once that wall comes down, say goodnight to cable television.

Lucas is facing up to 20 years in jail after being charged with an improper relationship between an educator and a student.

An investigation into the alleged relationship was launched after the student told two of her friends, who alerted school officials. CBS Austin reported that Lucas turned herself into police and confessed to the relationship after the school found out.

School principal Andrew Maddox said in a letter sent to parents he was “shocked and dismayed” at the “disturbing” claims. “Like you, we are all obviously shocked and dismayed by this allegation and will be working to support all of our students in coping with this distributing news,” he wrote.

Authorities are unaware of any other students Lucas may have had a relationship with.

Taylor Independent School District said in a statement: “We have been made aware of a possible inappropriate situation involving a high school student and an adult employee.

“Our administration responded immediately and an investigation involving the Taylor Police Department is in progress. The employee has been placed on administrative leave, and the district is cooperating fully with law enforcement authorities. Due to the ongoing police investigation into this matter, the district cannot comment further on this incident.”

As someone who’s been off the Lebron James train for most of his career, I have to admit that even I have been rooting for him since his return to Cleveland. Miami was Dwayne Wade’s team when he got there and it was Wade’s team when he left. So the minute Lebron dragged his team to a championship, he wasn’t about to let anything stop him from acknowledging his own greatness.

Elwood Gutshall, a 44-year-old Pennsylvania man, was arrested for driving under the influence while wearing a t-shirt that read “Drunk Lives Matter.”

According to the Newville police department, Gutshall, who was driving a Ford pick-up truck, was pulled over after an officer saw him commit multiple traffic violations.

Gutshall was then arrested after police determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. A test of Gutshall’s blood showed that his BAC was at .217, which is nearly three times the legal limit. Gutshall was charged with a pair of DUI counts and cited for several traffic violations.

On 3/19/2017 at approx. 00:15hrs the Newville Police Dept. observed a green Ford pickup committing multiple traffic violations. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and the driver was identified as Elwood R Gutshall III (44) of Newville, PA. After subsequent investigation it was determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol beyond what he could safely operate a motor vehicle. Gutshall was taken into custody and taken to the Cumberland County Booking Center for a legal blood draw. Gutshall’s BAC returned at .217% and he is charged with DUI Highest Rate, driving under DUI suspension, and traffic violations.

According to PA court records, Gutshall has prior DUI convictions and a 2009 guilty plea to simple assault.

Having siblings is typically a great thing in life. In a sibling, you usually have a life long friend who always has your back no matter what. They are your confidante and support system through think and thin. More importantly, you also have someone who’s probably a match should you need a kidney. You see, the benefits are endless.

But when you’re young, a new sibling might be less than ideal. I have an older brother who asked my parents if they could send me back to the hospital after just four weeks. And I get it. As a little kid, you don’t want some snot-nosed little baby cutting in on your attention, your toys and your play time. Totally a normal reaction to be a little peeved at the new kid.

That’s why we respect these little kids who are making their feelings known to all. They don’t like their new baby sibling and they are not going to be shy about it. Sure, in a few years they’ll probably be the best of friends, but for now you better get that stupid baby out of their faces!

A small fighter jet has crashed in a wooded area around two miles south of Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, a fire official said Wednesday morning at 9:30 A.M. ET.

What Happened?

A small fighter jet has crashed six miles away from National Harbor, Maryland. The pilot ejected from the plane using a parachute and was located by first responders. The Air Force has confirmed that the pilot is safe though his injuries are still being assessed. Homes near the scene have begun evacuating, according to Mark Brady of Prince George’s County Fire & EMS, in case of hazardous materials. Authorities are going door to door to alert residents.

NBC News reports that the aircraft is an F-16.

The Air Force said via the Associated Press that the pilot was on a training mission in an F-16 from the Joint Base Andrews-based 113th Wing when the plane went down.

The plane is said to have gone down near Temple Hills Road and Woodelves Way in Clinton, Maryland. Some roads in the area have been closed as a result.

Kent Roberson was driving in a residential area nearby when the plane went down.

“…I just heard a loud boom, I guess…like how a large tree falls and shakes the ground,” he told NBC. “That’s what it felt like and what I heard.”

Roberson said he saw fire and smoke rising from the ground to his right.

“We have reports that there was one pilot on board the aircraft who parachuted out, and has been picked up by a military helicopter and has been taken to an area hospital,” Brady said.

The altitude of the jet when the pilot ejected is unknown at this time. Officials are investigating the cause of the crash.

Joint Base Andrews

Joint Base Andrews is a United States military facility located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The facility is under the jurisdiction of the United States Air Force 11th Wing, Air Force District of Washington. It was built in 1945.

Travis Hightower, a 20-year-old student at Auburn University, was killed over the weekend in a car crash near Lake Purdy, Alabama.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Hightower on Monday, April 3.

According to AL, the fatal crash happened around midnight on Saturday, April 1, on Highway 119 and Boat Launch Road. Authorities said the victim’s vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and burst into flames.

According to the police report, there were no witnesses to the accident. The police were called after passersby saw the fire and called 911. Hightower was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:48 A.M. on Sunday, April 2.

Hightower was a graduate of Briarwood Christian School and attended Auburn University. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity, which scheduled a Monday-night memorial service in his honor.

At the memorial, various friends and fraternity brothers spoke to a crowd of about a hundred people, all there to honor Hightower’s memory.

Many of the speakers talked about Hightower’s faith in God and his journey to rededicating his life to Christ and growing in his faith after coming to Auburn. They assured one another that he is now at the right hand of God.

“Our brother’s unexpected death should remind us to spend time with those we love and cherish it,” one speaker said.

It was in a Bible study within the fraternity that AJ Forchette, Beta member and junior in electrical engineering, remembers Hightower standing out as a “wise and genuine” person.
