2009 – 2011

Bray first broke into the pro wrestling business at 21-years-old. He had just left college, 27 credits shy of his bachelor’s degree. It’s usually not a smart move to quit on a college education, but Wyatt had some serious connections with WWE. Both his father and grandfather had legendary careers inside the squared circle, and Bray hoped to follow in their footsteps.

The third-generation superstar quickly made an impact on WWE’s development territory FCW. He won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championships with his younger brother Bo Dallas, and held onto the gold for roughly four months. WWE officials were obviously impressed with Bray because in June 2010, he was called-up for the second season of NXT.

He was given the name Husky Harris, but he wouldn’t let a crappy name hold him down. He impressed WWE officials even more with his mic skills, claiming himself to be an army tank with a Ferrari engine. At WWE Hell in a Cell 2010, Harris made his first appearance on live television, as he interfered in the main event between John Cena and the leader of the Nexus Wade Barrett.

Husky would soon join the infamous Nexus faction. But his role was very limited. He was merely background fodder in the group, as WWE writers turned the promising NXT standout into a one-dimensional henchman. Once Nexus lost steam, he was sent back to FCW to hone his craft.

2011 – 2014

The ambitious rookie worked hard in the minor leagues, developing his character until he struck gold with Bray Wyatt. In April 2012, The Eater of Worlds was born. He led a cult in NXT, which spilled onto WWE television in the summer of 2013.

The Wyatt Family made their WWE debut on the July 8th episode of Monday Night Raw. On that night, Bray arrived with his loyal minions Luke Harper and Erick Rowan to assault “The Demon” Kane. And at SummerSlam 2013, Wyatt defeated Kane in a hellish “ring of fire” match.

Wyatt quickly rose to the forefront of WWE, feuding with top stars such as Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, and John Cena. By 2014, Bray found himself tapping at the door of WWE’s main event scene. He had already scored pin-fall victories over world champions like Cena and Bryan. He felt like he had the “whole wide world in his hands.”

2014 – Present

After Bray feuded with Cena, he clashed with Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose. At this time, Wyatt set his family free and went off on his own. Bray was still vicious without his family by his side, as he racked multiple wins against Ambrose in a street fight, an ambulance match, and an extremely brutal TLC encounter (definitely not tender loving care).

In early 2015, Bray set his sights on “The Deadman.” At WrestleMania 31, he fought The Undertaker, but came up empty-handed in their exchange. The defeated Wyatt then set his sights on dispatching Ryback. Roman Reigns was next on Wyatt’s path of mayhem. Roman and Bray would feud for much of the year, culminating inside a Hell in a Cell.

During this time, the Wyatt Family was back and even stronger than ever. Bray’s new henchmen Braun Strowman crushed every foe in sight, and Wyatt’s popularity seemed to increase every night. But an injury halted Bray’s momentum, putting him on the shelf for several months.

In June, Wyatt returned to wreck havoc on The New Day. In July, Bray was drafted to SmackDown brand, were he feuded and formed an alliance with “The Viper” Randy Orton. Wyatt would defeat Orton at WWE No Mercy 2016, and later The Viper would join forces with Bray, and became the newest member of The Wyatt Family.

Wow, that was a meltdown for the ages. It’s hard to say what was the lowlight in that video, as there were plenty of cringeworthy moments. Was it the accusations of sexual harassment? Phoning the police? Or maybe, it was the frequent slut, bitch, whore, and prostitute insults?

Even though all of that was pretty detestable, I’ve gotta say that calling someone a retarded, foreign asshole takes the cake. What a salty monster of a woman.

The final four teams are set with the North Carolina Tar Heels vs. the Oregon Ducks and the Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. the South Carolina Gamecocks. With all of the craziness (including the upsets) that March Madness has produced, we still have a lot of basketball left to play.

While the teams are prepping to face off against each other, the fans are also trying to prepare mentally for the anxiety-filled games that are still to come. While the tournament has had its ups and downs for fans, the cheerleaders on the court have certainly made it easier on the fans to watch the games.

The final four are set and with the championship game right around the corner, things are starting to heat up. The Gonzaga Bulldogs and South Carolina Gamecocks are set to clash for a chance at greatness. Both teams have had a hard uphill battle so far in March Madness, but it all comes down to this. Let’s see how both teams have fared so far in the NCAA tournament.

Gonzaga just doesn’t seem to have an off switch and they have proven over and over why they deserve their number one seed. Not only did they dash away West Virgina’s chances with a victory score of 61-58, they also stopped Xavier’s upset streak. While Xavier was able to take over other teams with higher seeds, Gonzaga stood their ground. The favorites have a chance to stop another upset train but have to keep pushing and moving if they want that championship glory.

Going into the tournament, who would have thought that the Gamecocks would have made it this far? Haters beware: this team is not done yet. Seeding does not seem to matter to South Carolina as higher ranked opponents have not met success against this team. With an upset win of 77-70 over Florida, South Carolina is poised to take the throne. However, the Gamecocks are not done yet and if they want their storybook season to have a great ending, they are going to have to pull off yet another upset.

This game is set to go down as a classic, with both teams looking to take down the other in order to move one step closer to the Championship. Will the Gamecocks stomp over Gonzaga’s hope of victory? Smack Apparel made a t-shirt poking fun at noted dickhead Grayson Allen’s passion for tripping people. Duke University found out about the shirt’s existence, and unsurprisingly, they were none too pleased about it. They had intellectual property lawyer Susan Freya Olive send Smack Apparel a cease-and-desist letter.

Instead of calling it quits, Smack Apparel owner Wayne Curtiss is going to fight back. Via TMZ:

Smack ain’t exactly backing down … owner Wayne Curtiss shot back with a letter of his own to Duke’s lawyers claiming his right to create a satirical shirt is protected by the 1st Amendment.

Curtiss does, however, offer a compromise — he’ll fly out to Duke to ask 50 people if they believe the shirt is sponsored or endorsed by Duke or Grayson.

If more than 5 say ‘Yes,’ he’ll cease all production. If not, he wants to be reimbursed for his time and travel expenses.

I hate Allen and Duke as much as the next guy, but this is most definitely a losing battle for Curtiss. Despite his harebrained survey suggestion, it’s blatantly obvious that he has no legal right to make a shirt like that. You win again, NCAA, you always do.

The final four is in full swing as North Carolina and Oregon are set to play for a spot to cut down the nets. As we are one step closer until someone takes home the trophy, both of these teams will give it their all to keep their season going. Coming off of big wins this past weekend, both teams have shown that they have a can’t stop/won’t stop mentality, so this is a match you surely do not want to miss. Let’s dive in and see how both teams have done so far in March Madness.

Ever since the start of the tournament, the Tar Heels have come swinging out the gate. After a huge win over Butler with a final score of 92-80, there was no time to rest as North Carolina had to pack up and go battle it out with Kentucky. Both teams threw everything they had at one another, but when it came down to the wire, North Carolina was able to advance with a final score of 75-73. The Tar Heels cannot seem to quit, as they continue to hurdle over any obstacle that is thrown at them, and with the finish line in site, NC will try to turn up the heat on their competition.

The Ducks are truly living it up as they keep their fans on edge. After just narrowly beating Michigan by a score of 69-68, the Ducks seemed to be ready for anything. No rest needed for this team as they went on to crush Kansas with a final score of 74-60. Oregon is hoping to keep their momentum going again this week as they have a big game to win if they want to keep their road to glory open. Just two games stand in the way of Oregon’s chance at the championship, so it’s sink or swim for the Ducks.

Reigns is likely to get booed out of the building whether or not he wins this match. From a booking standpoint, it’d be highly illogical for Reigns not to win this match. I know that may piss some people off, but it really shouldn’t. The Undertaker may just be one or two more matches away from retirement. On the other end of the coin, Reigns is in his prime physically and has been pushed to the moon by WWE officials for the past three years.

The only way I can see Reigns losing is if Lesnar or possibly Samoa Joe interjects himself into the match while the referee is down. Both could work and the crowd would probably accept the outcome. But that would be cheap.

Goldberg and Lesnar are set to lock horns for probably the last time this Sunday. Since Survivor Series, Goldberg has been making Brock look like a total punk. I’m sure The Beast Incarnate won’t let this older guy make him look like a chump for much longer.

I’m expecting this match to last a lot longer than their encounter last November. Goldberg is likely to go on all expense-paid trip to Suplex City. Hopefully, the elder champion won’t get hurt.

Many feel that Randy will emerge on top, and that Vinnie Mac only views The Eater of Worlds as an upper-mid card act at best.

But you’d have to be a fool to deny Bray’s bone-chilling presence. I believe the WWE Universe has another phenom on their hands. It’d be unwise not to capitalize on the eerie champion.

However, I expect this match to have a controversial finish. I see Luke Harper and Erick Rowan returning to the fold to protect their longtime Shepard. This match will be a Wyatt Homecoming.

Fatal Four Way for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax vs. Charlotte

These women are likely to tear down the house in Orlando. I see a Sasha Banks heel turn slowly creeping over the horizon. But I don’t feel like tonight is the night. I see Bayley reigning supreme at the show of shows. I can tens of thousands of fans on their feet to celebrate a Bayley victory.

But WWE may just throw us a curveball in this one. Back in the Fall, I didn’t expect WWE to play hot potato with WWE Raw Women’s Championship. Sasha and Charlotte were trading title wins like it was nobodies business. As a result, the WWE Raw Women’s Championship changed hands at almost every pay per view since the summer. Maybe Bayley’s WrestleMania win will come crashing down in epic fashion. But I just don’t see that happening.

An all-out brawl, a war to settle the score, whatever you call it, this one is going to be violent. If you’re into the extreme side of professional wrestling then you’re probably going to want to check this match out. Many people expect Seth to walk out of this match victorious. But unlike Rollins, Triple H has some backup.

If I wrote this article yesterday, I would have went with Rollins. But that seems like the easy answer, almost too easy… If one of Hunter’s henchmen costs The Architect a match at ‘Mania then Rollins will be furious and will make for good TV. Hey, where is Samoa Joe, anyway?

I predict that they’ll a last minute change to this match. Instead of a standard wrestling match, this match will be changed to a No Holds Barred match. If that happens, this match may just turn out to be an unlikely classic.

Here is a severely unrated feud leading into WrestleMania. KO & Y2J are two of the hottest acts on Monday night television. This match is probably the best built program on the pay per view, but that’s just my opinion. I expect KO to walk away with the gold. Although, a loss to Y2J would make Owens hilariously frustrated leading to a blowoff match at the next pay per view. But meh…Owens wins this one. He’ll need to make up for falling short at the original KO Mania last year. And who could forget KO’s disgraceful loss to Goldberg last month? Just disgusting. KO will get this title to help rebuild him back into the dominating force of the past.

Triple threat tag match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship: Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson (c) vs. Sheamus & Cesaro vs. Enzo & Cass

This match is sure to be a lot of fun. If I would make one last minute change to this match, I would make it a ladder match. This draws me back to the triangle ladder match at WrestleMania 2000 between The Dudley Boyz, Edge & Christian, and The Hardy Boyz (before they were ever Broken).

Enzo & Cass are certainly overdue for a tag team title run. However, a win tonight will only be overshadowed by higher profile title changes and matches in the night. I’d save their championship win for the Raw after WrestleMania, while the crowd is still hot. They’ll definitely go crazy to see Certified Gs walk away with the straps, but WrestleMania isn’t that night.

And oh, I almost forget about Sheamus & Cesaro. Sorry, fellas. I don’t see Sunday being your night.

If the WWE Brand Extension has helped anyone, it would be Baron Corbin. This guy went from lower-card afterthought to a potential main event talent almost over night. If you want to be technical about it, Baron Corbin is already a main eventer, as he headlined Feburary’s Elimination Chamber, alongside Bray Wyatt, John Cena, AJ Styles, The Miz, and his opponent Dean Ambrose.

At first, I thought my man “A-Double” Austin Aries would be the one to topple Neville at ‘Mania. But then I thought of the build-up to this match. For months, Neville has been proclaimed himself to be “The King of the Cruiserweights,” as he ran roughshod over the entire division. Meanwhile, Aries was the Raw ring announcer for every crusierweight contest. And then all of a sudden, he wins a five-man match, and is thrown into a match at WrestleMania.

I gotta respect Aries for all his accomplishments in the industry. He’s a former world champion outside of WWE. But tonight is just not his night. Unless, WWE wants to build him up as Neville’s kryptonite. But maybe a title win at the next pay per view (along with a better story build) would bold well for both men and the division.

The second of three Opening Day games that will take place today is an NL West showdown between the San Francisco Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks. Nia Jax dominated everyone early on in the match-up. The three smaller wrestlers needed to band together to put away Ms. Jax, with an awesome triple-teamed powerbomb.

Charlotte took out Sasha Banks, as she tripped her in an exposed middle turnbuckle.

“The Queen” Charlotte Flair looked dominant. But not dominant enough to put away the lovable Bayley. Ms. Hug Life put away the Queen of WWE with a Macho Man elbow.  Oooooohhhh yeeaaahhhhh!!

Jericho really took the fight to KO in this match-up. Y2J left the big man stunned when he kicked out of a pop-up powerbomb. Chris smacked Big Kev with the Code Breaker, and looked primed for victory.

Big Kev escaped by the Code Breaker by literally one finger (on the bottom rope). The action spills outside the ring, and KO turns the tide. Owens executes Y2J with a sick spike powerbomb to the ring apron.

AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon is actually kicking a lot of ass in this match. I’m surprised, but not too surprised. The WWE Universe has known for years that Shane O’Mac was one tough s.o.b. But who thought he’d be able to go toe to toe, punch for punch, and hold for hold with “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles. Shane even kicked out of a Styles Clash. WTF?

A Pele kick by Styles knocks out the referee. AJ goes outside the ring and bring out the hardware (I’m talkin’ steel trash cans). AJ sets up Shane for a phenomenal forearm to the trash can in the corner, but Shane reverses the move. Shane capitalizes and hits a classic coast-to-coast dropkick to the trashcan to AJ Styles’ skull.

Shane props AJ Styles on the announcer’s table, and attempts a top rope elbow drop. He fails miserably. But Shane isn’t done, he reverses another phenomenal forearm with a sick DDT. Shane attempts an awe-inspiring shooting star press, but crashes to the ring in epic fashion as AJ moves out of the way.

AJ capitalizes and finally nails Shane with the phenomenal forearm as an exclamation point to include an awesome match.

Both Ambrose and Corbin put their all in this match. Corbin looked like he was going to finish off a tired Ambrose, but then all of a sudden Mean Dean hits a Dirty Deeds DDT.

Wow. Just wow. I would have never expected this match’s outcome. I, like many others, believed that Braun Strowman would walk away with the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal trophy. I thought it’d go down to the Big Show and Strowman to close to match.

Who woulda thought the last two wrestlers in the ring would be Mojo Rawley and “Hard body” Jinder Mahal. New England tightend Rob Gronkowski even got involved after Mahal showed him disrespect at ringside. Gronkowski knocks down Mahal in the ring. Then Mojo comes in, cleans house of NXT’s Killian Dain, and then fights Mahal on the ropes for the finish.

This was an awesome start to WrestleMania. There were many high impact moves from both men. Aries looked like he was about to put away Neville with the Last Chancery submission move, but Neville racked Aries’ eyes. Neville put away Aries with a sick Red Arrow (corkscrew shooting star press).

The ACM Awards are about to take place and the world of country music could not be more excited. The Hardy Boyz are back, baby! One of the best tag teams in all of professional wrestling have returned home to the WWE, and oh yeah, **spoiler alert** they’re the new WWE Raw Tag Team Champions.

What Happened?

Right before the triple threat ladder match for the Raw Tag Team Championship, ya boys The New Day hit the ring to announce a forth team for the match. And it wasn’t The New Day, oh no, it was…The Hardy Boyz!

The Hardy Boyz clashed with three of Raw’s top tag teams in the form of Enzo & Cass, Cesaro & Sheamus, and the now former champions Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson. Jeff was even able to perform his signature Swanton Bomb off the ladder onto a prone Cesaro. After a grueling contest, The Hardys procured the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship.

This is a most delightful victory for the House of Hardy!

The Hardy Boys are happy to be back in the WWE. And I am too. My childhood was doing back-flips when The New Day introduced those legendary brothers from North Carolina, who are simply oozing with broken brilliance.

Persona games have always stood apart from other JRPGs by daring to venture into darker, more socially relevant material than most any other media. Themes such as rape, teen suicide, mental illness and drug addiction have always been commonplace in the series, dating to its PlayStation 2 days. While publisher/developer Atlus has kept fans’ appetites satisfied with a steady stream of offshoots, spinoffs and remakes, it has been outright cruel at making them wait for the next numbered entry in the series. Nine years after Persona 4 first released, and six months after the Japanese version dropped, comes what proves to be the franchise’s greatest triumph yet — a boundaries-shattering triumph that somehow proves to have been worth the agonizing wait.

Save for the rhythm-based and fighting game offshoots, Persona games generally stick with the same formula: A network of teenagers moonlight as evil-battling heroes, dating, rivaling and commiserating with one another during the day while calling upon spiritual alter-egos to wage war during the night. Persona 5 sticks with the routine, but adds considerably more depth to the setup and execution while remaining true to the franchise’s beloved spirit. With a new cast exploring a fresh setting, there are characters who are reminiscent of archetypes from past games but all of them are distinguished enough to seem like originals. The game is penned and paced with a novelist’s flair, making the character interactions every bit as thrilling as the turn-based, action-enhanced combat. Even though the general arc is more or less predetermined, there’s so much detail flavoring so many choices that you feel like you’re carving out your own tale.

The well-worn JRPG trope of grinding for loot, experience and special powers to make battles easier remains, but the genius of Persona 5 is that it masks the grind as social exploration, making it well worth the effort to invest hours into the game’s social side rather than rush through it. The bulk of the early going focuses on establishing your social world and intriguing you enough to explore its scope and reach. Ignore the dating/friendship sim side of the game and you’ll not only hamper your combat capabilities, you’ll miss out on what lifts the game to hits towering heights of emotional depths, social commentary and chilling resonance. Translators have always done a hero’s job of localizing the content to make sense to American eyes and ears, and that level of artistic excellence continues here. Matching the story content are the visuals and cutscenes, which stand up to all comers in the JRPG field, neutralizing one of the series’ few previous weak points.

The PS4’s popular share functionality has been disabled, making it tougher to stream gameplay. The move seems to be a way of encouraging players to stick to their own paths rather than constantly second-guess themselves and try to manipulate the story paths by making choices with foreknowledge of the outcome. The game is best enjoyed with horseblinders, leaving nagging possibilities that you’re avoiding for subsequent playthroughs. Depending on the way you juggle your social activities, which allies you forge tighter bonds with and which enemies you conquer and convert to your side, your journey can play out in wildly different ways. That’s a testament to the game’s tremendous ecosystem and rich storytelling depth, which makes all previous Persona outings seem like little more than a warmup to this main event.

Members of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Georgetown College collected donations for Officer Nick Rodman, a fallen member of the police force, on Saturday, April 1.

According to the Louisville Police, Officer Rodman suffered severe injuries after another car hit him at an intersection during a high-speed chase on the night of Tuesday, March 28.

Rodman died Wednesday afternoon at University Hospital in Louisville. Rodman, who was a graduate of Georgetown College, was also a member of the university’s PIKE chapter.

Via WKYT:

“He’s got two young kids and a wife and they’re going to be struggling for a while,” PIKE president Nick Kathman said. “So we are going to be doing whatever we can to help him and his family out.”

Members of the fraternity carried a bucket around with a picture of Rodman’s face on it and asked for donations for his family at a Georgetown soccer game.

“The brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha are going to be right behind them the entire time,” Kathman said.
