Delevingne made her modeling debut at just 10-years-old, appearing with Lady Eloise Anson in an editorial from photographer Bruce Weber about designer Philip Treacy.
“Cara probably doesn’t remember but she was gorgeous then. I think that was the first time she was featured in print,” Treacy said. “I think she is going to be as big as Kate Moss. If not even bigger.”

After signing with Storm Models, Delevingne quickly ascended through the top ranks of the modeling world. She has been featured in the ad campaigns for brands such as H&M, Blumarine, Zara, Chanel and Burberry. She is currently the face of brands such as DKNY, Chanel Resort and Burberry Beauty. The gorgeous model/actress boasts nearly 40 million followers on Instagram, which she leverages for lucrative paydays. According to CR Fashion Book, Delevingne’s Instagram posts are valued between $125,000 and $300,000.
“If you want to reach a model’s audience, you’re going to have to pay a hefty additional fee for that,” Frank Spadafora, CEO of D’Marie Archive, told the magazine.
In 2012, Delevingne was named the Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards. She also made her big screen debut that same year as Princess Sorokina in Anna Karenina alongside Keira Knightley and Jude Law.
In 2015, Delevingne earned an estimated $9 million from her modeling work, making her the second-highest paid model that year behind Gisele Bundchen ($44 million). On top of that, she scored her first lead role in the movie Paper Towns. It was around this time that Delevingne began to phase out of the modeling world in favor of more acting opportunities.

In 2016, Delevingne appeared in her biggest film role to date as June Moone/Enchantress in Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad. Though the film failed to impress critics and fans, it did earn $745.6 million at the worldwide box office. It’s estimated that Delevingne brought in around $8.5 million that year.
Delevingne has several projects hitting theaters in 2017. In addition to Tulip Fever and London Fields, Delevingne will co-star with Dane DeHaan in the anticipated Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets.
All told the $18 million (and growing) net worth seems plausible given Delevingne’s busy and successful schedule.
Full disclosure: I’m not a huge Luc Besson fan. For all his style and panache,
