My eyes usually start hurting after only about an hour of game-play. It’d be hard for me to last 3 hours+ in the video game world. But then there are those who spend countless hours in front of a glowing screen, as they click away at their controller. That person would think three hours and 14 minutes of gaming to be amateur hour.

Make it a goal to play a video game of your choice for exactly three hours and 14 minutes. If you don’t like the game and switch to a different game, the clock starts over.

Of course, I’m going to try and be a good influence.

Pick up a book of your choosing. It doesn’t matter what book. Just make sure that it’s long enough to last at least three hours and 14 minutes.

What if you don’t like the book you’re reading? What if you decide to pick up a different book and start reading? If you begin reading another book, the clock starts over.

What if you need to take a bathroom break? Well, that’s understandable. The clock will be frozen until you get back. And you’ll be allowed to read that shampoo bottle in the meantime.

Many people are stuck inside because of Winter Storm Stella. Right now, I hear droplets of hail bouncing off the back of my air conditioner and the sirens in the distance are muffled by the wind. I wouldn’t want to take a walk for three hours, and 14 minutes (much less 3.14 seconds) in that weather. But the sound of the storm outside is oddly relaxing. A nap for three hours and 14 minutes sounds pretty damn good to me.

But how can you make sure that you sleep for exactly three hours and 14 minutes? Well, it’s a little hard to tell. You can set a timer, but then what if it takes you a while to fall asleep? You’d have to keep getting up and readjusting the alarm time.

You can also ask a friend or family member to wake you up in exactly three hours and 14 minutes. They may think you’re being oddly specific. So, you’re probably going to have to tell them why.

Pick a television show of your choosing, and get to work watching it!

You may want to set a timer, to make sure you don’t go beyond the three hour, 14 minute mark. Remember to be disciplined, and shut off the show once the three hours and 14 minutes have passed.

Fyi, this would be the perfect time to Netflix and chill. Just make sure the other person is down with this pi-specific activity. I wouldn’t want to ruin your date or whatever it is you two are doing.

Alisha Largent, a 25-year-old high school teacher, has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old male student.

Largent, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, has been charged with felony indecent liberties with a minor while in a supervisory role. The Spotswood High School teacher was arrested on Monday, March 13 by Rockingham County officers.

The investigation into Largent began on March 7 when the school district received an anonymous tip.

Largent, who was in her first year teaching at Spotswood High School, taught introduction to foods and child development classes, according to the school’s website.

The principal of Spotswood High, Robert Dansey, didn’t return The Daily Record’s call for comment.

As of Monday afternoon, Largent was being booked into the Rockingham County Jail.

Baylor University officials have fired DeMarkco Butler, the associate director for football operations,  less than a month after he was hired.

According to KWTX, the university terminated Butler, who was hired February 15 as the associate director for football operations, over inappropriate text messages he sent to a teenage girl.

A Baylor University official indicated that while Butler was fired for sending texts to a teen, they were sent to an individual who was an adult under Texas statutory laws.

David Kaye, Baylor’s director of athletics communications released statement:

“DeMarkco Butler is no longer employed by Baylor University. As a personnel matter, we have no further comment.”

Butler is already the second employee hired under new head football coach Matt Rhule that has been fired by the university.

The first, Brandon Washington, Rhule’s newly hired assistant strength coach, was fired after he was arrested in a prostitution sting earlier this year.

Tre’Von Armstead, an ex-Baylor football player who was heavily linked to the university’s rape cover-up, was arrested in Las Vegas on Monday, March 13.

Las Vegas police say that Armstead, 22, assaulted a woman and then ‘went crazy’ on the responding officer when he was being detained. The former D1 tight end then kicked out the back window of the squad car.

According to TMZ, Armstead, 6’6″, 280 lbs, is accused of pushing a woman in front of The Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas.

FYI, Armstead was named in a rape investigation in 2013 … but Baylor reportedly failed to take action for roughly two years. Armstead was eventually dismissed from the team in 2015 for a “violation of team rules.” Armstead has denied any wrongdoing in the 2013 incident.

But Monday morning in Vegas, Armstead found himself in trouble again … when police officers say they watched the 6’6″, 280 pound tight end push a woman in front of The Cromwell Hotel.

Law enforcement sources tell us officers confronted Armstead and tried to arrest him but he resisted. When they finally put him into the police car, we’re told he kicked out the back window.

Armstead was booked for battery domestic violence, resisting arrest, and damaging a police car.

Armstead, who was one of the first Baylor football players to be accused of rape under Art Briles, was kicked off the team for “violation of team rules.”

The Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter at Loyola University has been suspended for three years after an investigation discovered hazing at the fraternity.

SAE was investigated last month for an alleged hazing incident and “engaging in disruptive and disorderly conduct that caused a disturbance in the neighborhood,” according to a statement from Dean of Students K.C. Mmeje.

Dean Mmeje also said in a statement:

“The suspension prohibits the chapter — and its members or supporters — from conducting any activity on Loyola’s campuses or off-campus. This suspension is effective immediately, and lasts until August 1, 2020.”

“As we have stated previously, acts of hazing are strictly prohibited by University policy and Illinois law. Hazing is directly in opposition to the mission and values of Loyola, and it will not be tolerated.”

The fraternity has appealed the university’s decision through a school administrative process, however, the university did not provide any further details about the suspension.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, SAE nationals issued a cease and desist order to the Loyola chapter, bringing to a halt “all chapter operations,” according to a statement from fraternity spokesperson Johnny Sao.

So, shocking news: Winter Storm Stella wasn’t as bad as predicted. At least, it wasn’t as bad here in New York City.

Keeping up with the tradition of being the only profession on Earth where you can be consistently be wildly inaccurate and still keep your job, weathermen far and wide predicted a foot to a foot-and-a-half in New York City, and from my window, it looks like we got about half a foot.

Each year millions of people fill out brackets hoping to be the first person in history to predict every game before having their hopes instantly dashed by a dark horse. Cinderella teams and upsets are essentially what makes March Madness so great, and probably the best time of the year.

Picking the team’s that turn college basketball upside down, slight Stranger Things reference, is easily the hardest part about filling out the bracket. We know it’s going to happen, but finding those two or three teams seems nearly impossible. Picking the elite programs going deep in the tournament is the easy part, so with that, here’s a breakdown on the top five dark horses poised to destroy brackets across the country.

5. Butler Bulldogs (23-8, No. 4 Seed in the South)

If there’s one team that has a knack for making runs in the NCAA Tournament when they’re least expected to, it’s the Butler Bulldogs. Butler has won at least one game in the Big Dance in each of their last five trips.  They also post a 4-0 record against the Top 25.

The Bulldogs may not be the hottest team heading into March, but they are the only team in the nation who can say they beat one-seed Villanova twice. Somehow they manage to always fly under the radar and surprise everyone come tournament time.

The Bulldogs average 76.3 points per game leading into their favorable matchup against Winthrop and are guided by their leading scorer and rebounder Kelan Martin, who gets it done on both sides of the court. Butler is always a team to watch that loves to bust brackets.

4. Wichita State Shockers (30-4, No. 10 Seed in the South)

The Shockers turns out to be a way too perfect name for Wichita State. They came on to the tournament scene just a few years ago, but now seem to be a March Madness regular. Wichita State is fresh off winning the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, as well as sharing the regular season title.

With an RPI Rank of 31, they are incredibly low-seeded, but the Shockers have been in these types of situations before. They average an impressive 82.1 points per game, and are currently on a 15-game winning streak. Only one of those games was decided by less than 15 points.

Wichita State is easily one of, if not, the hottest teams in college basketball and now have plenty of experience in March. The Shockers are an elite three point shooting team, and let’s just say Dayton got screwed with their first round pairing. If things keep going Wichita State’s way, expect a huge contest in the round of 32 with Kentucky.

3. Michigan Wolverines  (24-11, No. 7 Seed in the Midwest)

Sticking with one of the hottest teams in the nation, look no further than the Michigan Wolverines. Despite an underwhelming start to the season, this Michigan team caught fire en route to winning the Big Ten Tournament, and I don’t think anyone wants to play them right about now.

The Wolverines can ride on their x-factor Derrick Walton Jr., who will force teams to make adjustments.  Senior leadership is crucial in the tournament and Michigan has that in Walton Jr. and guard Zak Irvin.

Their offense has finally kicked into gear, and the Wolverines are now 9-3 in their last 12 games. Michigan will face a tough Oklahoma State team, but should be able to move past them in what looks to be a showdown against the two-seed, Louisville.

2. Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders (30-4, No.12 Seed in the South)

Middle Tennesse is the lowest seeded team on this list, but I knew I had to throw a 12-seed into the mix here considering there have only been four occasions since 1985 where one did not beat a 5-seed.

Overall, I really like the Blue Raiders match-up in the round of 64. They are taking on a Minnesota team that has been fairly up and down this season. Middle Tennessee was last year’s surprise upset team as they absolutely shocked two-seed Michigan State, so they’re not going to sneak up on anyone this year.

The Blue Raiders are an efficient basketball team and now know a thing or two about what it takes to win in March. Most of their squad is back from last season, including the Conference USA Player of the Year JaCorey Williams, Reggie Upshaw, and Giddy Potts. Some say Minnesota way over-performed so far, but the Blue Raiders are just getting into playing their best basketball of the year.

It wouldn’t be a shock for Middle Tennessee to be a dark horse and wreck brackets again.

1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (25-9, No. 5 Seed in the West)

Any team coming out of the ACC is battle-tested to say the least. The Fighting Irish were just a couple plays away from taking down the Duke Blue Devils and capturing the ACC Tournament Championship. Notre Dame has shown they can play with pretty much anyone with two wins against Florida State, plus victories over Louisville and Virginia.

The Fighting Irish went through some rough patches, but proved they are poised to make a run in Big Dance after their performance in the ACC Tournament. They are also strong from beyond the arc and don’t turn the ball over. Their seeding in the West bracket also helps immensely. The one-seed is Gonzaga, and we all know about their tournament woes.

Mike Brey is one of the best coach’s in the conference and Notre Dame has plenty of faith in their star forward Bonzie Colson, who is a headache to cover in the paint. The Fighting Irish are also the best free throw shooting team in the country, which is where you get it done down the stretch. Don’t be surprised to see Notre Dame playing well into the second weekend.

FC Porto heads down to Turin to take on Italian giants Juventus in the second leg of their Champions League round-of-16 matchup.

In the first leg, played in Portugal on February 22, Juventus walked away with a 2-0 victory behind goals from Marko Pjaca and Dani Alves, both of who were substitutes.

I’m not going to lie, I forgot all about Megan Fox. I haven’t seen any of her movies since her role as Desi in This Is 40, which produced a first ballot Hall of Fame scene despite being a pretty mediocre film overall. If you’re anything like me, you’re counting down the days until Dave Chappelle’s stand-up comedy specials hit Netflix. We reached a milestone today in this highly anticipated countdown, as Netflix released the official trailer for his two March 21 specials.

A Tribe Called Quest’s “We the People” has never sounded so goddamn good. Chappelle signed a deal to produce three stand-up specials for Netflix, with the first two being released on March 21. This trailer only contained footage from the first two specials, which are entitled Dave Chappelle: The Age of Spin and Dave Chappelle: Deep in the Heart of Texas.

The Age of Spin was filmed at The Palladium in Los Angeles, California in March 2016, while Deep in the Heart of Texas was shot at ACL Live at The Moody Theater in Austin, Texas in April 2015. These will be Chappelle’s first stand-up specials since his 2004 classic For What It’s Worth.

It seems that this winter needed to go out with a bang, with Winter Storm Stella hitting the northeast hard. While we may only be seven days away from spring, spring seems very far away with many people either bunkered down inside their homes or off in a warm part of the world seeing that their flight back is canceled.

Stella seems to have a varying degree of effect in the region, with some areas only getting light snowfall and others getting up to possibly 24-inches. The effect of the storm seems to be bleeding over into Wednesday with flights already being canceled. There is also cause for concern in some areas, with worry about the effect that the storm could have in regards to possible to flooding and power outages.

However, the blizzard warning in the New York region has been dropped, with more coverage stating the snow is more of a winter mix of sleet and snow. New York City also got downgraded in snowfall with just four to eight-inches of snow to be expected. Just as a safety precaution, many train and bus transits have suspended services on Tuesday, with the regular schedule to hopefully pick back up tomorrow. The New York subway system also suspended above ground services, but with below ground trains still in transit.

Due to blizzard predictions, many schools and offices are closed today. For many, it is a nice vacation day to stay at home and rest, while for others it just means they get to work from the comfort of their own home. The storm is expected to ease up later this evening.

Honestly, I’m just surprised this didn’t happen in Florida. Shout out to you Sunshine State, your neighbors to the north are taking the heat off of you for the time being.

A substitute teacher at Lexington 2 High School in Lexington County, South Carolina was reportedly so intoxicated that she puked on the floor of the classroom she was teaching in. The teacher, identified as 52-year-old Judith Elizabeth Richards-Gartee, had to be taken to Lexington Medical Center, according to the report.

Via WISTV:

“She had a box of wine in her bag that was opened, and students said she was consuming the wine during class,” the report said.

A sheriff’s deputy arrived a short time later. The report says Richards-Gartee was then placed in a wheelchair and rolled into the nurse’s office until EMS arrived to transport her to the hospital.

Richards-Gartee was arrested following the incident.

Richards-Gartee was in possession of an open container of alcohol when she was arrested and was charged with disorderly conduct and released to the care of paramedics.

On Monday, the school district issued this statement:

On Friday, March 10, 2017, it was reported to the Administration of Brookland-Cayce School that a substitute teacher was behaving erratically and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.  This substitute is not an employee of the District, but works for Kelly Services.  Kelly contracts with the District to provide substitute teachers.

The Administration responded immediately, removing the substitute from the classroom and sending her to the School Resource Officer. The District has been advised that law enforcement has filed criminal charges against the Kelly employee.

Your goal is to make it to the Andromeda Galaxy so the new civilization can expand due to events of Mass Effect 3 which reset the universe.

Yooka-Laylee

If you were a fan of Banjo-Kazooie, then you will love this new title. Developed by former members of Rare during the Nintendo 64 era, comes Yooka-Laylee. Just like Banjo-Kazooie, Yooka-Laylee is a platformer where the two main characters buddy up to explore the baneful business known as Hivory Towers. This game is meant to be a resurrection of the ‘collectathon’ games from the late 1990s and early 2000s. This is a game I definitely recommend you pick up if you were a fan of Banjo-Kazooie or Crash Bandicoot.

Outlast 2

This is a sequel to the horror game hit Outlast which came out in 2013. Outlast 2 is a first-person survival horror game where you are a freelance journalist named Blake Langermann who is investigating a rural area in Supai. Prey

If you loved the original Prey, which came out in 2006, then you will be at home with this reimagining. Prey is a first-person shooter where you must survive against the hostile aliens on board the space station. Using the character you can personalize the decisions you make to ultimately affect how the story turns out. Use weapons and resources on the ship to defeat the aliens. The game will also feature multiple endings so the replay-ability for this game is very high.

Injustice 2

DC has some of the best superheroes and with this sequel to the first Injustice, that list grows. Injustice 2 features brand new heroes such as Black Canary, Captain Cold, Supergirl, and much more. It also features a story mode where Batman builds a team of heroes (not the Justice League) to take down the Superman regime in order to restore society. It gets even worse when Brainiac shows up and puts Earth’s entire existence at risk.

He’s also apparently a huge fan of superheroes, as he announced which college he would attend in the most creative fashion that I’ve ever seen. T-Nasty to the rescue! I can’t even imagine the time, effort, and money that went into creating that video, but I guess it’s all worth it when you can create a viral buzz.

The hometown Louisville Cardinals can’t be pleased about how that video played out, though. It’s one thing to have some kid taunt you by removing a bunch of t-shirts or have a change of heart after flying a goddamn weather balloon into outer space. You can bounce back from those kinds of stunts. But getting blown into f*cking smithereens by lasers??? That’s the type of negative PR that can put your program into a tailspin that’s impossible to get out of.
