We’re coming up on the NFL conference championship games this weekend, a feat that the Cleveland Browns and their fans haven’t even come close to since dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Alright, that was rude. I apologize for the unnecessary shot at Cleveland, but I call them as I see them. Your franchise has been a joke for pretty much my entire 25 years on the planet, and every other team and their fanbase (including the Jets for God’s sake) are laughing at you. Fortunately for you guys, I’m a problem solver, and I’m here to save your franchise. Not that I’m a Browns fan or anything, but I’m not a monster. I think every team deserves some type of success and happiness. Except the Cowboys, Redskins, and Eagles, they can all go to hell (I’m a Giants fan if you couldn’t tell).

Now am I an expert when it comes to fixing an NFL franchise? No, but guess what? Neither is any other idiot that the Browns have employed over the last 20 years, so I can’t imagine I’d do any worse than a majority of them. Hypothetically speaking, let’s say that the Browns gave me an important job with the organization. For the purpose of this article, we’re going to say I’m the new owner. Now this isn’t a fix that’s going to happen overnight, it will take a few years, but here a few quick fixes as to how I’d help get the Browns back on track, or at least relevant.

1. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT DRAFT A QUARTERBACK THIS YEAR.

I’m well aware that to compete in the NFL you need to have a franchise quarterback, something the Browns have never had in my lifetime. Since no free agent quarterback in their right mind would ever sign with Cleveland, the only other option they have is to draft one. The Browns have whiffed on every quarterback they’ve drafted in my lifetime. That’s not an opinion. It’s a fact. With the #1 and #12 picks in the draft this year you’d think it’d be in our (I’m saying our because I’m the owner of the Browns in this article) best interest to take a quarterback at one of those spots, but it’s not. This year’s quarterback class in the NFL draft is a fairly weak one. Sure, Deshaun Watson and Mitch Trubisky may be okay NFL quarterbacks, but they aren’t going to save a franchise or they could even end up being busts, and everyone will continue to laugh at us if we take them. What the Browns should do, at least with the first pick, is draft Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett. The guy is an absolute MONSTER and will give you a special talent at pass rusher that not many teams in the league have. With the 12th pick, I’d still avoid taking a quarterback because it’s such a weak class. Depending on who’s available, I would consider taking someone else to add to the defense, like an offensive lineman or wide receiver Mike Williams, although you’ll have to be patient with him because he won’t have anyone good throwing to him. By avoiding drafting a quarterback, we’re probably going to be picking high in the draft again in 2018, but that leads me to my next point…

2. Suck in 2017 and position yourself to draft Sam Darnold in 2018.

He’s the quarterback that can save your franchise. As a redshirt freshman, Darnold threw for 31 touchdowns and led USC to a Rose Bowl victory over Penn State. During that game, he threw for five touchdowns and was named MVP. In my opinion, he’ll be the best quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck and is someone the fanbase can feel optimistic about. Although he’s a year away, which won’t help Cleveland in 2017, he’s definitely worth the wait. So ride this year out with RG3 or whoever else is a quarterback on the Browns roster, and position yourself to draft Darnold in 2018 if he enters the draft, which I fully expect him to do.

3. Keep Hue Jackson around for at least another year.

Is Hue Jackson a good head coach? The jury is still out on that. I know he went 1-15 in his first season, but he was also given a dog shit roster to work with, a roster that I don’t even think could have given Bill Belichick five wins. Take a look at some of the most successful teams in the NFL, the Patriots, Steelers, Packers, Giants, Seahawks, and this year, the Cowboys. What’s something they all have in common? They don’t go through head coaches left and right, they keep a sense of continuity with the team. The Browns are going to suck this year again, but by holding on to Jackson, it will at least show that they’re sticking by their guy, which is something players like to see. If Cleveland is able to draft Darnold in 2018, I would at least give Jackson one year with him to see if the franchise is able to show any signs of improvement. Personally, I do think Jackson could make a good head coach, he just needs to get better players on his roster.

4. Trade Joe Thomas or Joe Haden.

I would personally like to trade both of them, but Joe Thomas has come out and said that he doesn’t want to be traded because he doesn’t want to pick his family up and move. That leaves us with Joe Haden. Haden is one of the best corner backs in the league, and still relatively young (turns 28 in April) and in his prime. The problem is that with the exception of Jamie Collins, the Browns really don’t have anyone else on their defense. While it’d be nice to hold onto Haden, I think you could get a good return for him if you trade him, whether that’s through draft picks or other players. I know that the Browns always seem to be in rebuilding mode, but trading Haden would give them a chance to start from scratch and to start fresh with a new batch of players, that hopefully pans out for them.

Now am I saying that my four solutions are going to result in the Browns winning the Super Bowl? No, that’s absurd, c’mon it’s still the Cleveland Browns we’re talking about here. Having said that, I do think that those quick fixes could be a big step in the right direction. If you’re reading this Cleveland Browns: Take notes. If you do go ahead and follow my quick fixes and they work out for you, just make sure you give me the proper credit.

Tonight, the Kentucky Wildcats will travel to Mississippi State to take on the Bulldogs in a SEC clash. If the upset-minded Bulldogs are going to have a shot at pulling off the huge win, they will have to slow down the Wildcats’ high-octane offense. Kentucky is currently second in the country with a scoring average of an NBA-esque 93.6 points per game.

It’s been business as usual for the #5 ranked Wildcats this season, as they are running through SEC competition. The 15-2 Cats are riding a five-game winning streak, with all five of these victories taking place in conference play. Their 5-0 SEC record has them tied with Florida for first place in the conference.

The Bulldogs (12-4, 3-1 SEC) have a modest win steak of their own, picking up Ws in their last three games. Mississippi State has been playing solid ball this season, but they’ve yet to see a team anywhere near the caliber of Kentucky. This will be their first time facing a ranked opponent, and they’ve already dropped home games to Central Florida, Lehigh, East Tennessee State, and Alabama.

The Texas Longhorns will travel to Baylor to try to pull off an upset over the #6 Bears in a Big 12 showdown. Texas will definitely have their hands full with Baylor’s stifling defense. The Bears only give up 60.6 points per game (10th in the country), while the Longhorns score 69.9 points per game (258th in the country).

Last week, Baylor (16-1, 4-1 Big 12) was named the #1 team in the country for the first time in their school’s history. They didn’t keep the top spot for long, though, as #10 West Virginia smoked them 89-68 in their very next game. But they rebounded nicely from their first loss of the season, beating #25 Kansas State on the road 77-68 on Saturday.

This season has been a total nightmare for the Longhorns, as they are 7-10 overall and 1-4 in the Big 12. They’ve lost three straight and five of their last six games, and it’s extremely difficult to imagine Shaka Smart’s squad being able to turn things around.

Further proof that Dave Chappelle is a genius: Could his long-awaited comeback have come at a better time? Spite is a powerful, intoxicating emotion and sometimes sacrifices (such as your nose) must be made in order to achieve the revenge we so often desire. And that’s why I respect the hell out of these San Diego moving companies, who are all effectively saying, “Screw logical business sense, f*ck the Chargers.”

As someone who knows absolutely nothing about the moving industry, take the following with a grain of salt, but a professional football team has A LOT of stuff that they need moved, and therefore moving them would result in a pretty big payday. That’s why these 23 moving companies blackballing the Chargers is a G AF move. I imagine the moving industry is like a fraternity, so it’s refreshing to see a brotherhood stick together for the greater good.

“We were just sitting there thinking about the physical move of the Chargers,” Charles said. “We were thinking we would not want to be a part of that, having been born and raised here and being a lifelong Chargers fan.”

After rejecting the Chargers’ job request, Charles asked other moving companies to join his protest, which he described as their “last line of defense.”

“The feedback was immediately positive,” Charles said. “I got chuckles, people were laughing, there were guys saying ‘I wouldn’t move them for X amount of dollars.'”

Per Togerson, they all turned down a payday potentially north of $100,000. Someone will eventually favor business over loyalty to a football franchise, but the foregone earnings demonstrate just how much the Chargers meant to San Diego.

As a New York guy through and through, I absolutely love seeing all the turmoil surrounding the Los Angeles NFL franchises A) because f*ck Roger Goodell & the NFL owners for their money-grubbing ways, and B). I’ve had to suffer through the Jets for over two decades, so it’s about time those sunburnt Cali-brahs see that having an NFL team in your city ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.

The Michigan Wolverines will look to pick up a big road win over their conference rival Badgers. It certainly won’t be an easy task, as Wisconsin is 12-1 at home and boasts one of the top defenses in the country. The Badgers give up only 60.2 points per game, which is 9th best in the NCAA.

The American Institute for Economic Research published their yearly review of the top 20 college towns in America. Boulder, Colorado, home of the University of Colorado, claimed the top spot, and if you ask us, it’s easy to understand why: marijuana is f*cking legal. Imagine getting out of class and being able to cop an eighth of fire from a dispensary instead of an eighth of shwag from a frat house? That would significantly improve my college life, I’ll tell you that.

The rankings are divided into categories: demographics, quality of life, and economics. Under demographics falls things like college educated population and diversity. The quality of life category focuses on things such as city access, arts & entertainment, and bars & restaurants. The final category, economics, looks at youth unemployment, innovation, and rent cost.

The University of Colorado ranked in the top 20 in every single on of these categories, including #1 in college-educated population (demographics), #1 in arts & entertainment (quality of life), and #1 in innovation (economics).

The rest of the list includes some heavy hitters like Bloomington, Indiana, College Station, Texas, and State College, Pennsylvania. The only difference? Weed isn’t legal in any of those places.

So shout out to the University of Colorado. You earned it.

Tom Hardy’s new FX series Taboo finally premiered last week and continues tonight at 10:00 P.M. EST. The eight-episode miniseries, written by Hardy and his father, is about an adventurer, James Keziah Delaney, who returns to Britain from Africa, along with fourteen stolen diamonds, to seek vengeance after the death of his father. For the first time since I was in elementary school, the Raiders are actually a good football team. And the foremost reason is Derek Carr distinguishing himself in his third season as the best young quarterback in football.

Carr had his season abruptly ended when he suffered a broken leg in week signal caller, but the signal caller is still making big plays off the field. An Oakland police officer credited the finding of an abducted child to Carr’s retweeting the following notice to his 247K Twitter followers.

On Sunday Chris Bolton expressed his gratitude to Carr via Twitter. The young boy was found soon after someone replied to Carr’s tweet with pertinent information.

In the AFC Championship game on Sunday we’re stuck with one quarterback who’s an alleged sexual assaulter and the other who’s an alleged ball deflating cheater. In contrast, Derek Carr seems like a genuinely good guy, so I for one hope he usurps those (alleged) dirtbags next season and leads the Raiders back to the Super Bowl.

Sadly, however, it looks increasingly likely that they’ll be the Las Vegas Raiders then.

Markeith Loyd, 41, the man accused of killing an Orlando Police officer has been captured and arrested, the Orlando Police Department tweeted Tuesday evening.

Orlando Police Chief John Mina said Loyd was taken into custody in Orlando on Tuesday evening. Chief Mina also said the arresting officers used fallen Orlando police officerDebra Clayton’s handcuffs to secure Loyd, who shot and killed Master Sgt. Debra Clayton on January 9 in the parking lot of the Walmart on Princeton Street. Police said Loyd was most likely wearing a bulletproof vest when he shot Clayton.

Loyd also allegedly shot and killed his pregnant ex-girlfriend and remained at large for a week before he was arrested, before being added to the U.S. Marshals’ top 15 most wanted list earlier Tuesday.

According to NBC, authorities have been searching for Loyd since early December, when he was accused of shooting and killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Sade Dixon, on December 13. After Orlando police searched for Loyd at an abandoned building at Rosemont Country Club, near Lake Orlando on Sunday, but did not find anything, they were finally able to capture him just two days later. No details of Tuesday’s arrest, including the location, were intially provided.

Bliss is smashing Becky’s body into the steel when we come back from the break. Alexa is throwing leg drop after leg drop. Bliss is bouncing Becky off the cage. But Becky fights back and nails a huge flying leg drop from the top rope. Lynch climbs the cage and tries to escape, but Bliss is fast on her tail. Alexa pulls down Lynch, but Becky is way too tough and performs a “beck-sploder” onto Bliss.

Ziggler is silent halfway through the segment. Lawler thinks that Ziggler is going down the wrong path. Ziggler brings us back to September 2012, when Ziggler dished out multiple elbow drops on Lawler. Only minutes later, “The King” suffered a legit heart attack. Ziggler says if Jerry doesn’t stop what he’s doing then Dolph will finish the job. Lawler told him that no matter what Dolph does or how he changes, he’ll always be a loser. This comment really pissed off #HEEL Ziggler. Dolph super-kicked Lawler in the chest. As Ziggler was heading up the ramp, a defiant King stands up and calls out to Ziggler to continue the fight.

Dean Ambrose vs. Randy Orton

By his own admission, Ambrose is looking to “dissect” the viper in this match. Ambrose tried to end the match early with a roll-up, but to no avail. The Lunatic Fringe hits a crossbody and goes on the attack. This match was a very back-and-forth encounter. Towards the end, Orton was in control and looked primed for victory. But then Luke Harper gets on the top rope to distract Orton and the referee. Ambrose rolls up Orton. And that is all she wrote.

In-ring segment: Nikki Bella calls out Natalya

Nikki is in the ring and she’s pissed. Bella is calling out The Queen of Black Hearts. But Natalya doesn’t want to come down to the ring. She’s up on the big screen, and she wants to take the audience backstage with her. Natalya shows the camera all the merchandise for sale, Nikki’s merch right next to Cena’s (her boyfriend). She points out her “former” uncle Bret “Hitman” Hart t-shirts for sale. She says that both Bret and Nikki will die alone.

Natalya is going nuts! She starts grabbing a bunch of merchandise. Then out of nowhere: Nikki Bella! Bella attacks Natalya, and an all-out cat fight ensues.

AJ Styles vs. The Miz

The early part of the match was very mat-based. Headlocks made up much of the opening moments. Styles hit a back-breaker on The Miz, but that’s not enough to keep down the Hollywood A-Lister. Maryse distracts Styles, as The Miz sends AJ out of the ring via a devastating kick.

The Miz is clearly in control as we come back from commercial break. He even takes to the top rope (something we don’t see too often). But AJ Styles is way too aggressive and starts kicking the sh*t out of The Miz. Styles kicks The Miz outside the ring. AJ throws Miz into Cena. Cena throws Miz into the barricade. The referee calls for the bell.

WWE is teasing a huge announcement to open up tonight’s show. We don’t know what this is all about. But apparently, Shane McMahon will make the announcement to kickoff WWE SmackDown Live. Here’s the statement released by WWE earlier today:

Although we are not sure what he has to say, the announcement will no doubt take SmackDown LIVE to the next level. Is it possible that the man in charge has something up his sleeve for the Royal Rumble? Which Superstar, or Superstars, will the big news concern? John Cena & AJ Styles are currently locked in a heated rivalry over the WWE World Championship. That match will go down at the Royal Rumble. But for now, Cena appears to be squatting his way to SmackDown:

25 years after White Men Can’t Jump came out, apparently we still can’t jump.

A remake of the classic 1992 basketball dramedy starring Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes is on the way, as first reported today by The Hollywood Reporter.

Black-ish creator Kenya Barris is slated to write the script and is one of the movie’s producer along with Clippers star Blake Griffin and Ryan Kalil of the Carolina Panthers.

Obviously more details need to be revealed before I can truly cast judgment, but I’m very skeptical about this project. Everything about White Men Can’t Jump is just so distinctly early 90’s and that’s integral to why it’s such a memorable movie. I just don’t see how you can transplant it to the present while preserving its essence. Hopefully they can prove me wrong.

It’ll be fascinating to see who they cast for the roles of Billy and Sidney. While Blake Griffin is legitimately funny-seriously, check out the big man doing standup– he’s one person who you can definitely count out for both roles. Griffin can’t play Snipes’ role because as he’ll remind you, in the video below, he’s half-white. And he can’t play Harrelson’s role because he has made clear throughout his NBA career that he can indeed jump.

Let’s make one thing clear: I do not think Joe Rogan is being racist whatsoever. If you know anything about Joe Rogan, you know he is one of the more open-minded dudes going. The guy f*cks around with isolation tanks (Google it), so you know he stays woke (and when it comes to isolation tanks, quite literally woke).

That’s what makes this video gold: it’s just Joe bein’Joe. Probably a little baked, fresh off some meditation, loving life as a UFC announcer, he saw a chance to both simplify the situation and make a little joke, so he pounced.  I’m all in on this one, and if you think this is racist, and you’re one of those ‘I don’t see color people’, lighten up. Sometimes you gotta highlight the obvious and call a spade a spade — it’s called comedy and it’s one of Rogan’s many successful professions.

Hopefully, the UFC keeps him around for a long, long time, cause he just makes the whole experience that much more alive.

Jerry Seinfeld is heading to Netflix, as the streaming giant continues to use its massive war chest to lure the biggest names in comedy.

While the iconic sitcom Seinfeld remains property of Hulu, Seinfeld’s successful web series Getting Coffee In Cars With Comedians will have its entire library plus all new seasons transitioned from Crackle over to Netflix. He’s agreed to produce a new season with 24 episodes coming later in 2017, and more in following years.

In addition, Seinfeld will provide Netflix with two new standup comedy specials in 2017. From Dave Chappelle to Chris Rock to Amy Schumer and now Seinfeld, Netflix users will have a ton of great standup comedy to look forward to in 2017.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Seinfeld will be rewarded handsomely for his services.

Many industry watchdogs pegged the price tag of Netflix’s Seinfeld deal at $100 million, given that it includes the Comedians in Cars library, new episodes, a development component and two stand-up specials.

The Central Intelligence Agency has published nearly 13 million pages of declassified documents online. The documents were previously only physically accessible from four computers at the National Archives in College Park, Maryland. And yes, it includes UFO’s. Via CNN:

 The documents shed some light on the agency’s activities throughout the Vietnam, Korean and Cold War conflicts. It even includes documents pertaining to purported UFO sightings and the organization’s “Star Gate” program investigating possible psychic abilities and what could be done with them.

Known as the CIA Records Search Tool, or CREST, the archive spans the CIA’s extensive history, beginning at its inception up through the 1990s, as nothing in the archive is newly declassified. The archive includes information from the Cold War and Vietnam to terrorism and global economics

CIA spokesperson Heather Fritz Horniak said “It’s the full history. It’s good and bads.”

Although the documents are declassified, redactions do occur throughout the 13 million pages.

“Lightly redacted for sources and methods,” said Horniak.

Given the unprecedented size of the archive, new developments on the CIA’s activities throughout ihistory are likely to trickle out to the masses as the millions of pages are reviewed. , Joseph Lambert, the CIA’s director of information management, said that the agency is looking for a way to comb through the information.

Lambert said the agency is looking at emerging technology, including artificial intelligence and machine-learning tools, to help process the staggering amount of documents officials must pore through. That requires judging whether releasing the content would harm national security and redacting certain sensitive names and details.

“Human beings can only do so many pages,” Lambert said. “It’s a difficult endeavor to make sure that you can put together the right technologies to assist a human being going forward to scale to hundreds of millions of pages.”

Details have begun to emerge from the night James Rackover, known as the Manhattan Party Boy, allegedly murdered Joseph Comunale. Rackover, 25, and friend Lawrence Dilione, 29, are both suspects in the death of Joseph Comunale, 26, on the night of November 13. Rackover’s body was found stabbed and burned in a shallow grave in Oceanport, New Jersey.

Dilione told police that he and the victim, Comunale, got into a fight over a pack of cigarettes after a night of cocaine and alcohol that ended with the victim lying bloody and unconscious in Rackover’s East 95th St. apartment.

According to The NY Daily News, Rackover then ‘viciously kicked and beat’ the unconscious graduate, before giving Dileone a chilling message: “We have to kill him.”

The suspect (Dilione) admitted to the initial attack on Comunale, but blamed the murder on James Rackover — the surrogate son of a renowned jeweler.

“I didn’t kill Joe, it was James,” Dilione allegedly told cops. “All I did was punch him, then James said he didn’t want to go to jail and then James stabbed him.”

Dilione described even more disturbing conduct in the ritzy apartment in a videotaped account, according to a filing by Mark Bederow, lawyer for suspect Max Gemma.

The pair cleaned the apartment then dumped Comunale’s body in a shallow grave in Oceanport, New Jersey, Dilione said.

Rackover and Dilione are believed to have smuggled Comunale’s body out in a luggage cart that belonged to the building where Rackover was living with his adoptive father, Jeffrey. Dileone eventually told police the location of Comunale’s body. Comunale was buried by friends and family a week and a half after his death.

Sources connected to the case believe one reason for the holdup is problems with the suspect statements, and the lawyer for Dilione charged Tuesday that his client was wrongly questioned.

“Statement were … taken over a 40-hour period while Mr. Dilione was in custody, in blatant disregard of his Miranda rights,” said attorney Michael Pappa. “If we are right about this, it’s hard to imagine how any evidence gained from the statements would be admissible.”

Rackover, Dilione, and Gemma all face a charge of hindering a police investigation, and Rackover and Dilione have been charged with concealing a human corpse.

All three have pleaded not guilty.

Whatever happened to #GirlPower? A DeKalb County police officer is facing charges after allegedly posting nude photos of another Atlanta officer to Instagram and Snapchat.

Audrey Francisquin, 24, of Lithonia, Georgia, was identified as the suspect after the victim went to DeKalb police saying someone had accessed her social media accounts. A police report released this week said the victim received messages from Francisquin saying things along the lines of, “You’re going to learn.” Friends then called the victim saying her nude images were posted for all to see.

That a police officer allegedly fell victim to the crime, particularly at the hands of another officer, speaks to the prevalence of such occurrences today. In 2014 Georgia legislators passed the so-called anti-‘revenge porn’ bill after seeing a rise in such crimes. The Atlanta officer who’s allegedly the victim in this case said she didn’t even know why it happened.

“(The victim) is unaware of where this behavior came from and says she talked to this (woman) several days prior and everything was okay,” the report said.

The report calls the two women “acquaintances.”  The victim believed the suspect found a way to download the nude images from the victim’s phone.

 Francisquin spent three days in jail and was released on $5,000 bond Saturday. She faces charges of invasion of privacy by computer, computer trespassing and explicit transmissions, police said.
