WWE
On tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, we have WWE’s indestructible cornball John Cena going up against “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin. The Wyatt Family will also be looking to take back from their tag team championships from American Alpha. On SmackDown’s midcard, The Miz is definitely still furious over losing his Intercontinental Championship. And I can only imagine the kind of hi-jinks The Miz will get into with new IC Champ Dean Ambrose. You can expect all this & more on the second-longest running cable show in history. John Cena vs. Baron Corbin
Now, it’s time for your main event of the evening! WWE World Champion AJ Styles has joined the commentator’s at ringside. This one is sure to be a memorable brawl. We’re only minutes away from seeing Cena vs. Corbin! It’s Ruthless Aggression vs. the New Era!
Corbin is completely dominant early on. Baron hits first, dishing out a big boot to the “Leader of the Cenation.” Corbin is really kicking Cena’s ass. Right before the commercial break, Baron throws John outside the ring like a ragdoll.
Back from commercial, and they’re jocking for position. Cena tries an Attitude Adjustment on Baron, but he crumbles until the weight of Corbin. Baron takes out Cena and then starts trash-talking to AJ styles at the commentary booth. Cena comes out to attack Baron, but The Lone Wolf quickly stops Cena’s momentum and smash his head into the barricade.
John gains an advantage outside the ring, when he moves out of the way, causing Baron to charge into the ringsteps. But only about a minute later, Baron is back in action, catching Cena with a powerslam. Baron is back on top. But Cena is fierce and tries to fight back just to fall to the clutches of The Lone Wolf. Cena’s back on his ass. Lulz.
Baron Corbin looks like a million bucks in this match. But after a Baron bear hug, Cena turned around the momentum in his favor. Cena battles back. A legdrop from the top rope and a five knuckle shuffle rattles Corbin. I guess that’s all it takes when you’re John Cena. Lulz.
Cena hits the Attitude Adjust on Baron Corbin, and you know what happens next.

Carmella vs. CJ Lunde
The moon-walkin’ trash talkin’ Carmella ran through her opponent Lunde. CJ still put up a fight as best as she can against the Princess of Staten Island. But Carmella can thanks James Ellsworth, who grabbed CJ’s leg. He prevent Lunde from getting into the ring long enough for Carmella to capitalize.

Breaking News: Next week, Becky Lynch will challenge Alex Bliss for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship inside a STEEL CAGE!
WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship match: American Alpha (c) vs. The Wyatt Family
American Alpha dominated the match early on. The tag champs are like a well-oiled machine in the ring. They imposed their skill of both Wyatt & Orton for much of the match. The Wyatts came around and decimated American Alpha for much of the match. But American Alpha did make a few comebacks. Jason Jordan reminds me of a better Roman Reigns. And Chad Gable is pretty sick too.
The Wyatts look like they’re going to put away the champions. It looks like American Alpha will have the shortest reign in modern day SmackDown tag team history. Randy is gonna line up Gable with a nasty DDT and accidentally knocks Luke Harper off the ring apron. Orton is about to recoil into the Viper, but Harper gets make on the top rope. Randy gets rolled up for the 1, 2…3.
American Alpha retain the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship after defeating The Wyatt Family
Post-match: Harper and Orton look like they’re gonna tear each other apart. Bray tries to get involved to play peacemaker, but gets kicked by Harper who tried to kick Orton. The Wyatt Family look like they’re about to break up. But then, Bray whispers something into their ears. And all is well again.
Kalisto vs. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph was dominant for much of the match. Kalisto started off like a hot flash, but died out to the skill of Ziggler. By the time we got back from commercial break, Dolph was solidly in control (trying to choke out the luchador). But Kalisto is very crafty. The smaller competitor rolls up Ziggler for the win.
Kalisto defeats Dolph Ziggler
Post-match: Ziggler goes apesh*t on Kalisto. Dolph brings out a chair and does more damage on the masked man. Before he leaves, Apollo Crews music hits. The even bigger man comes racing down the ramp and attacks Dolph. But when Crews was trying to enter the ring, Ziggler gave Apollo a stiff kick. Dolph then started wailing away on both men with the steel chair. #HEELZIGGLER
Natalya vs. Nikki Bella
Nikki spears Natalya before the bell even started. Bella is on the attack. They’re outside the ring beating the sh*t out of each other (not literally, but this is intense). Natalya throws Nikki back in the ring, and hits Bella with a boot to the face. But Bella has counters, and Natalya high-tails it. Nikki is throwing Natalya around outside the ring. When they made their way back into the ring, four different referees have to break up this cat fight. But Bella breaks through and kicks ass. The fight to the outside, and Natalya once again gains the upperhand. She puts Nikki in sharpshooter as Ms. Bella yells in pain.
The bell never rang. Match never started.
Backstage Segment:
Nikki Bella is preparing for her upcoming match. But then out of nowhere, Natalya jumps Nikki from behind. The Queen of Black Hearts laid out the Total Divas star.
In-ring Segment: Dean Ambrose, The Miz & Maryse
Dean Ambrose’s music hits to start the show. He comes to the ring and pokes fun at The Miz and his wife Maryse. Dean even have an inanimate mini-alligator on a table, that he names Maryse.
The Miz’ music hits, and the A-Lister comes down to the ring with his wife. The Miz talks trash and announces that he will be an entrant in the Royal Rumble match. Miz gets infuriated when Ambrose gives him a participation award for his loss last week. Miz attacks Ambrose, but The Lunatic Fringe fights back and counters with a Dirty Deeds. Ambrose hands Maryse the participation award and leaves the ring.

WWE SmackDown Live Preview
When John Cena returned a few weeks back, he blurred the lines between hero and villain when he trash-talked WWE’s New Era. He told the audience that “it’s not the New Era, it’s the My Time Is Now Era!” Cena is back and he wants championship gold. John was gunning for AJ Styles right off the bat. The seasoned veteran wants to recapture the WWE Championship, and become a record-tying 16-time World Champion in the process. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
But before John goes and ties Ric Flair’s record, he’ll have to face off against one of the toughest superstars of the New Era: Baron Corbin. Baron is looking for a way to make a name for himself as one of SmackDown‘s top competitors. If Corbin defeats Cena then “The Wolf Man” may be injected into the WWE World Championship match at the Royal Rumble. We may have a triple threat on our hands soon.
The creepy Wyatt Family are also lurking around. They will be looking to take back the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship from the up-and-coming team of American Alpha. Can the Eaters of Worlds devour the patriotic jock duo? Or will American Alpha once again emerge victorious?
And who is La Luchadora? Maybe WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss can help us out with that question:
Dean Ambrose won the WWE Intercontinental Championship from The Miz last week. How will the Hollywood A-lister react to that loss? Will he feel naked without the IC strap? And what trouble will Ambrose get into this time? But one thing is for certain: you do not mess with The Lunatic Fringe.
