The 74th Golden Globes are airing tonight, January 8th, at 8 PM EST on NBC. This year, the Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone starring La La Land lead the film nominations, while The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story leads the television nominations. Other notable nominees include Deadpool, Stranger Things, Moonlight and Game Of Thrones. Also at this year’s event, Meryl Streep will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award. Jimmy Fallon, host of The Tonight Show, was announced as the host for the 74th Golden Globe Awards on August 2, 2016.
The Golden Globes are awards given out by the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association recognizing excellence in both film and television, both domestic and foreign. The annual ceremony at which the awards are presented are a major part of the film industry’s awards season, which culminates with the Academy Awards.
