The Lakers and the Clippers continue their longtime rivalry this Christmas Day in the Staples Center. These two LA teams first battled on October 30, 1970, when the Clippers was a team in San Diego called the Buffalo Braves. The team we now called the Los Angeles Clippers won their initial meeting in 1970. But overall, the Lakers are leading with the most victories against the Clippers in this heated rivalry. The Lakers have beaten the Clippers 98 times, while the Clippers have only defeated the Lakers 44 times in the 138 times they’ve battled.

Historically, the Lakers have the edge on the Clippers. However, in 2015, the Clippers defeated the Lakers in all three of their encounters. They’ll be facing off once more as a Christmas present to the fans of each team. They’ll both return home to the Staples Center. But only one Los Angeles team will reign supreme on Christmas night.

George Michael, the former Wham! member and solo pop star, died today at age 53 years old, according to the Associated Press. Michael died peacefully in his sleep at his home, according to his publicist.

Michael rose to fame as a member of the duo Wham!  along with fellow Englishman Andrew Ridgely in the early 1980’s. Then beginning in 1987, Michael began his successful tenure as a solo artist.  In total, Michael sold over 100 million albums during his lifetime.

Gary Fryer is a Arkansas Tech University student who, despite being the ripe old age of 70-years-old, understands the importance of extracurricular activities. After meeting and greeting all sorts of different clubs and organizations on the quad, he decided to join one of the most surprising groups of all: the Kappa Sigma fraternity, making him the real-life version of “Blue” from Old School.

Rather than steal him in a black van while wearing stockings on their heads, the Kappa Sigma fraternity brothers had a different method of bringing Gary onboard. From ArkansasTechNews:

During orientation activities at Tech, Gary attended the annual Involvement Fair on the Hindsman Tower lawn. The event connects new Tech students with community entities and campus organizations.

It was there that Fryer met the men of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

“They had all the booths set up, and I went by the Kappa Sig one,” said Fryer. “I had a badge on saying I was a transfer student, so they could recognize that and know I wasn’t just some old goof ball. They spoke real friendly and so did the other fraternities, but I guess I responded more to (Kappa Sigma).”

Probably my favorite bit from the quote is Gary talking about how his transfer badge ensures that people who see him don’t think that he’s just an old goof ball. Like that little badge is going to make people forget they’re talking to a 70-year-old, and that he’s just a normal transfer student.

So how does he like the fraternity?

“I have a bunch of 18 or 19-year old brothers,” said Fryer. “I have a group of young men who aren’t afraid to pat me on the back or hug me around the shoulder. They told me they thought it would be great having me in there because I may have experience and be able to give them advice. I told them I don’t give advice. I’ll share experiences with you, and I’ve been through all the experiences you’re going to go through, so I’d love to do that.”

Last night, the reigning Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos were eliminated from Playoff Contention by the Kansas City Chiefs. It was an ugly, ugly game for the Broncos, and one that was made worse by one play in particular: the touchdown pass from Dontari Poe. It’s a call apparently named the “Bloated Tebow Pass” by Chiefs coach Andy Reid.

With that pass, Dontari Poe became not just the heaviest person to ever throw a TD pass, he also became the first player to ever record a sack and a touchdown pass in the same season.

The internet is flooded today with videos of people’s reactions to their Christmas gifts, but this is the cream of the crop. All of your heartwarming videos can go take a hike. Watching a man become overjoyed when his girlfriend gives him a giant bag of weed for Christmas is what the holidays are all about.

Now that’s a present! So much better than getting lame stuff like clothes, books, or a membership into a Jelly of the Month Club. That was pure elation on that dude’s face. I haven’t seen someone so happy about a Christmas gift since that little kid lost his damn mind over getting a Nintendo 64.

That was a ridiculously big bag of weed too. It looked like the bags George Jung was getting from Derek Foreal in his early drug pushing days in Blow. I can only imagine how high that guy got that night. He probably rolled himself a joint with a circumference resembling Santa Claus’ waistline.

Phil’s Crummy Corner at 323 Columbia Street in Brooklyn has had it up to here with customers leaving their beer bottles outside, being loud late at night and generally being bad for the neighborhood. That’s why the manager Isabel Santiago has decided to raise the bar’s minimum age to 25, in an attempt to attract a more well-mannered group of alcoholics.

During most of the week, Phil’s is a Latin-American sports bar/restaurant that’s loved by the neighborhood. But come Friday or Saturday night, the vibe is much different. Locals who live near the bar complain that parties rage from 2 AM-4 AM.  One resident told PressUnion that “You will be shocked about the number of conversations you can hear from my bed. They’re animals. Friday and Saturday night, it’s like animal town.” [Editor’s Note: “Animal Town” is now the name of the bar I will open when I win the lottery.]

The biggest question you might have is whether or not this move is legal? We’re obviously not lawyers, but our guess is that yes, it is. It’s an establishment which reserves the right to refuse someone service–so long as that they don’t refuse to serve someone based on their race, religion, or sex.

But is it a good move? Personally, I don’t think so, but the relationships that local bars have with their community is a pretty important one. If you piss off enough of the neighbors, they’ll try to find a way to screw you, either legally or illegally. Apparently, there have an extremely large number of noise complaints made to 311.

This video started making its rounds on the internet today, but it was apparently shot back on December 23. It seems that the holiday tension was too much for some shoppers at a Kentucky Walmart to handle, as all hell broke loose in the bike isle. Watch the carnage unfold in the video below.

I’ve seen a lot of funny weapons used in viral fight videos over the years, but the use of a bike pump might be my all-time favorite. Somebody tries to take the last 10-speed Huffy away from you? Eat this cold, hard, bike pump steel, ya jabroni. That guy just locked up the Father of the Year Award for those improvisational skills.

But in the defense of these maniacs, there is nothing on earth worse than shopping so close to Christmas. The mere thought of dealing with that chaos makes me want to start celebrating Festivus.

It is comforting to know that kids still love bikes, though. I thought they were only into high-tech bullshit these days. I guess bikes will always be a Christmas staple just like Walmart will always provide first-rate fight videos. Some things never change.

I missed it when it was first released, as I was too busy stuffing my face with ham and having the goddamn Steelers rip my heart out. I’m sure a lot of you were in similar boats, so I figured I might as well post it today. Better late than never, right?

Not too shabby. Overall, I enjoyed that short film very much, but I do have one major complaint. That video needed a whole lot more of naked Kylie ripping cigs and a whole lot less of that no-talent, assclown Tyga. I would’ve rather seen Kylie take a shower with a cardboard cutout of Popeye Jones than get all steamy with that slapdick.

Two very dominant teams in the NFL are set to clash this Monday night in Texas. Both the Lions and the Cowboys are the leaders of their division. The Lions are the leaders of the NFC North, with nine victories and only five defeats this season. Meanwhile, the Cowboys are leading NFC East with 12 wins and just two defeats so far this season. If Detroit has their way, the Lions could win their first division championship in 23 years in this game against the Cowboys. The Lions “could” win, but the Cowboys are on a hot streak that is hard to put on ice.

There is so much for the Detroit Lions to gain in this game. The Lions are looking to defeat the Cowboys tonight and then the Green Bay Packers in Week 17. If the Detroit team loses both games then they’ll most likely be on the bench during the playoffs.  Meanwhile, the Cowboys don’t have much to gain, but they have a lot to lose. A loss against the Lions may knock off the Cowboys from their perch of dominance and lead the team on a downward spiral for the remainder of the season.

If the Lions want to keep up with the Cowboys then one thing they’ll need to improve is their position in the red zone. The Lions have scored a touchdown on just 51.22 percent on the time while in the red zone. During their last 12 red zone trips, the Detroit team has turned the ball over three times, kicked six field goals and scored three touchdowns. But a touchdown for the Lions will be tough, as the Cowboys are tied with the Denver Broncos with the fourth-fewest points allowed per game (18.4). The Lions will be invading the Cowboys turf, but they’ll be stepping on foreign territory that is armed to the teeth with defensive plays.

Odeya Rush is a 19-year-old actress from Haifa, Israel. Odeya means “Thank God” in Hebrew, and I am very thankful whenever I see her grace my TV or movie screen. Odeya made her on-screen debut in 2010, playing Hannah Milner in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Katheryn Winnick is a 39-year-old actress from Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada. She made her on-screen debut back in 1999, playing Suzie in the “Sacrifices” episode of PSI Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal. Katheryn would make her film debut in 2001, taking on the role of Jennifer in Biohazardous.

Unsurprisingly given her mix of acting chops and gorgeous looks, Katheryn has been in a ton of movies and TV shows over the years. Some of her most notables roles were as Tiffany in Two Weeks Notice (2002), Melissa in Failure to Launch (2006), Vivian in Killers (2010), Hannah Burley in Bones (2010), and Ivana in A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III (2013).

But without question, Katheryn’s biggest success up to this point in her career has been her role as Lagertha in Vikings. From Vikings’ debut in 2013, Katheryn has had a lead role in each of the historical drama’s four seasons.

George Ciccariello-Maher, an associate professor of politics and global studies at Drexel University has a pretty simple Christmas wish list. Unlike some other professors, who might ask for crazy things like their students to be on time or maybe appreciate the dedication these professors have towards education, George Ciccariello wants one thing and one thing only: White Genocide.

In a tweet that he sent on Christmas Eve, Professor Ciccariello tweeted “All I Want for Christmas is White Genocide.” He’s since made his Twitter account private, but you can see a screenshot of the tweet below.

As if that wasn’t controversial enough for George, he then followed up his tweet on Christmas by saying that “To clarify: when the whites were massacred during the Haitian revolution, that was a good thing indeed.” Apparently, that “clarification” didn’t make anything clearer to Drexel University, except that he needed to schedule a sit-down meeting with the President of the school as soon as possible.

Here’s the official statement from the school, which was made on Christmas Day–something I’m sure was not an issue whatsoever.

“While the University recognizes the right of its faculty to freely express their thoughts and opinions in public debate, Professor Ciccariello-Maher’s comments are utterly reprehensible, deeply disturbing, and do not in any way reflect the values of the University.” The university also said it “contacted Ciccariello-Maher today to arrange a meeting to discuss this matter in detail.”

For his part, Ciccariello has received a large amount of backlash from the tweet. His explanation, which was given to The Philadelphia Inquirer by email, was that the idea of White Genocide is something that’s been made up by the Alt-Right.

“On Christmas Eve, I sent a satirical tweet about an imaginary concept, ‘white genocide.’ For those who haven’t bothered to do their research, ‘white genocide’ is an idea invented by white supremacists and used to denounce everything from interracial relationships to multicultural policies (and most recently, against a tweet by State Farm Insurance). It is a figment of the racist imagination, it should be mocked, and I’m glad to have mocked it.”

Professor Ciccariello-Maher will probably have a meeting with the school today.

Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo are two Canadian sisters who stand accused of much more than buying fake Instagram followers, apparently they’ve been scamming and cyberbullying a Nigerian billionaire out of his riches. Hey, at least someone’s sticking it to the Nigerian princes who’ve been emailing us constantly for our “monies,” right? Sadly, the Nigerian government doesn’t see it that way.

Here’s an excerpt from TheStar, who reports that the two have been arrested and detained in Lagos, Nigeria:

Two sisters from Toronto with a substantial Instagram following have been detained in Lagos, Nigeria, reportedly to face allegations that they tried to extort and cyber-bully a Nigerian billionaire.

According to the news site Politics Nigeria, sisters Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo are accused of trying to blackmail the billionaire by claiming they had evidence of businessman Femi Otedola cheating on his wife that they would post on a notorious sex-scandal website. Forbes magazine’s list of 2016 billionaires says Otedola made his money in the energy sector; it estimates his net worth at $1.8 billion.

Following a private investigation, the sisters were arrested, the publication said.

According to a court document dated Dec. 20 and posted to Nigeria Politics, the sisters stand accused of being “responsible” for the website NaijaGistLive and several other social media accounts on Instagram and Twitter used for “cyberbullying” around 274 people, “mostly based in various regions of Africa.”

Femi Otedola is estimated by Forbes to be worth just short two billion dollars, which would make him the perfect target for blackmail. According to sources, both Jyoti and Kiran have evidence of Femi cheating on his wife, and they threatened to release the evidence unless they were paid an undisclosed amount of money.

Both Jyoti and Kiran’s Instagram pages are literally stocked with images of their bodies in tight clothes, private planes, expensive clothes, and other things that would make you feel like you’re nothing but pauper. As BroBible put it, these chicks are thots. Straight up. But having said that, I could see how some African billionaires would try and get all up in the Kardashian-lite sisters. As for how they can afford to buy all the stuff on their Instagram pages, blackmail seems like a pretty good assumption to us.

Kendall Jenner isn’t the most accessible person in the world, but that’s not stopping some guy named Kirby from appearing in her biggest photos. This short, mustached superfan has literally photoshopped himself into 50+ photos of Kendall–making them way more entertaining. On his Instagram account, @KirbyJenner, he claims to be Kendall’s fraternal brother, in addition to being an “amateur model” and a “lover of all things.”
