Okay, so I never watched Craig Ferguson when he was on. I was either in high school or college and late night TV just wasn’t on my priority list. Now that I’m an relatively functioning adult with a job and what not, I catch more late night TV than ever before. I rock with Stephen Colbert and always have. Even before Jimmy Fallon made an ass of himself with Donald Trump, I was repping Colbert. So occasionally when I’m feeling ballsy and stay up late, I’ll catch the Late Late Show with James Corden. He’s a funny dude, but he’s funny in the same way when a girl calls a dude ‘adorable.’ I mean, yeah, it’s a compliment, but it’s not the compliment you want. But as good as Colbert and Corden may be, turns out they both have nothing on Craig Ferguson.

So, I was clicking around on YouTube, and ended up slipping into one of those YouTube black holes where you just click and click until you’ve ended up in The Matrix. And as it turns out, there are hours and hours of footage of Craigy Fergs making some of the most beautiful and famous women in the world soaking. Sure, the Irish accent, salt and pepper hair, and the fact that he’s married go a looonnnggggg way, but the dude just has straight up game. Any regular folk would be deucing their pants to even introduce themselves to one of these chicks, and here’s our boy Craig literally putting on a masterclass in flirting in front of a national audience.

Also, count how many times he complements their dresses.

Now, if you don’t want to to invest hours in watching a retired late night host flirt with women, I totally respect that because that means you live a far more exciting life than I, but I’m telling you, you gotta check this dude in action, so I’ll leave you this interview with Kate Mara. J. Cole is my favorite rapper. His beats are mellow, lyrics thoughtful, and songs soulful. I saw him a couple of months ago at The Meadows, and he was easily the best act of the weekend. Better than Chance, Kanye West, or Pretty Lights. Better than everyone. During that Meadows concert, he said it was probably going to be his last show for a while. Now we know why he said that.

Cole came outta nowhere yesterday to announce his fourth album, 4 Your Eyez Only, will be dropping on December 9. Alongside that announcement came a documentary about the making of the album called Eyez. Check it out, because it’s everything that makes J. Cole the best.

This year marks a huge milestone for the “Chan-tastic” Jackie Chan. Chan was born on April 7, 1954, and only a few years later was sent to the Peking Opera School where he trained in martial arts and vocal work. As the world’s second highest paid actor, it’s no secret that he is doing very well. With over 200 films under his belt, the world record for “Most Stunts by a Living Actor,” and a newly won Honorary Oscar Award, I can’t think of anyone more deserving of such a huge net worth.

Starting his acting career at only eight years old, he didn’t get a big movie role until 10 years later when he acted as a stuntman in 1972’s Fist of Fury. Soon after, Chan began work on Enter the Dragon, where he worked alongside Bruce Lee, who he considered an inspiration. After Bruce Lee’s death, Chan had began to take his role in a few different movies, which fans were not pleased about. In 1976, he finally got to star in Hand of Death, kick-starting his long and successful acting career. It wasn’t until 1978 that Chan had finally gained popularity with the release of Snake in the Eagle’s Shadow and Drunken Master, which made about $350,000 and $850,000 (USD) at the Chinese box office and are widely considered some of his best films.

Chan thought about moving his films over to the American market by 1985 when he released The Protector, which was a critical failure, but then decided to release Police Story, which was a huge success in Asia with box offices estimating about $3.4 million (USD) in earnings, not to mention the countless sequels that came after its release. To this day, Jackie Chan still regards this as one of his best works.

The beginning of Jackie Chan’s film career in the US started with 1995’s Rumble in the Bronx and 1998’s Rush Hour, with estimated box office earnings of $32.4 million and $244.4 million respectively. By this time, Chan decided to leave the Golden Harvest Company. Due to the booming popularity of Rush Hour, Shanghai Noon, a completely American made film, released two years later to much success with $99.3 million in the box office. Chan was pleased with the success of the two films but did not like the way that Hollywood controlled his creative freedoms during production. In 2003, Chan decided to start his own production company, JCE Movies Limited, where he planned to release all future films outside of Hong Kong.

In the mid-2000s, Chan’s work in the American film industry had its ups and downs. Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon managed to spawn very successful series of sequels, but films like The Tuxedo didn’t manage to captivate the same audience. Regardless of a few faults, he was still doing very well in the industry at this point in time.

Kung Fu Panda was a 3D animated children’s movie and a box-office hit in the US, as well as an opportunity for Jackie Chan to do voiceover work by playing a character in the film. Having the opportunity to work with actors like Jack Black and Angelina Jolie in a movie aimed at younger audiences certainly helped increase his popularity within the states.

Now, after the success of many of his comedic action films, he is making more money than he ever has in his life. This year alone he has estimated to have made $61 million dollars. Out of his estimated total worth of $395 million, that’s a fairly large chunk, meaning he’s doing much better now than he was years ago.

The 2016-2017 NCAA football season is heading down the home stretch. But that’s no reason to be upset, as the College Football Playoff is a must-see event. This is the third year of the NCAA’s playoff set-up, and I’ve yet to hear one person complain that it’s not more exciting than the old format.

Alabama was crowned the National Champions last year, and it sure looks like the undefeated Crimson Tide will have a great chance to repeat. The number one seed in this format hasn’t won it all yet, though, so who the hell knows what’s going to happen? Four teams make the College Football Playoff, and while we don’t know yet which teams will compete, we do have an idea of how the bracket will look.

The superstars of SmackDown are set to put on a showcase Sunday night for WWE’s next big event TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2016. This will be SmackDown’s last pay-per-view of the last, so expect the unexpected. Anything can happen in WWE. But who will come out on top? I predict James Ellsworth to get involved and cost AJ Styles the championship. This will prolong his feud with Styles. Just imagine how the crazy the crowd would go after Ellsworth once again gets the better of his bully and takes away what means most to him. This will continue their feud and provide some more fresh entertainment for the viewing audience. This will also give Dean Ambrose back the gold and position him in the main event for good.

The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a ladder match

“The Showoff” Dolph Ziggler is looking to reclaim his gold against The Miz, but does he have it in him to once again take down the self-proclaimed “A-Lister”? The ladder match is a specialty match for Ziggler, so he does have a very good chance to not only win, but to steal the show too. The Miz is no slouch either. He is a very wily and cunning champion, who hopes to hold championship gold into 2017 and beyond.

Who will capture the Intercontinental Championship? I predict Maryse and the Spirit Squad to get involved in the match. Ultimately, I predict The Miz taking down his IC strap and leaving the arena as champion. They can’t keep playing hot potato with this championship. It will only devalue the gold and that will not bode well for SmackDown’s mid card division. But still, this match has the potential to bring down the house; expect this match to be absolutely awesome. Expect crazy spots and pulse-pounding action.

Prediction: The Miz retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship after defeating Dolph Ziggler

Becky Lynch (c) vs. Alexa Bliss for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship in a tables match

Alexa Bliss is flirting with championship gold in this match, but does she have what it takes to pull off the victory? Becky Lynch has been a very dominant champion on SmackDown’s women’s division. She is highly popular and is a fiery red force in the ring. She calls herself “Becky Balboa” and says that she’s “straight fire.” But will Alexa be able to extinguish Becky’s flames this Sunday night? Bliss certainly wants to snuff out Becky’s fire, but will she? Does Bliss have what it takes to silence the “Irish Lass Kicker”?

Lately, the SmackDown women’s division has greatly paled in comparison to Raw’s main event quality female division. While Sasha Banks and Charlotte main event Raw and October’s Hell In A Cell pay per view, the women on SmackDown are sadly stuck in mid-card purgatory or in the shadows. WWE needs to revive interest in SmackDown’s women’s division and can do so by crowning a new champion.

Heath Slater & Rhyno (c) vs. Randy Orton & Bray Wyatt for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship

Beauty & The Man Beast have had a hell of a run as SmackDown’s tag team champions, but they will be up against a new kind of hell in the form of Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton. The Wyatt Family has become more cold and venomous since Orton’s inclusion into the group. And now, they’re looking to add tag team gold to their gruesome resume. Heath Slater & Rhyno have been crushing it in the blue brand’s tag team division over the past months. But this Sunday night, they might just get crushed by The Wyatt Family.

Who will make it out on top here? Neither the fans nor the WWE creative staff have paid too much mind to SmackDown’s tag team division. This is a real problem that needs mending asap. The New Day is WWE’s top tag team, and unfortunately, they’re on Raw, leaving SmackDown without that kind of star power. But The Wyatt Family are amazing, Bray Wyatt is a phenom akin to The Undertaker, and Randy Orton is a living legend and a former 12-time world champion. In the end, it all comes down to who is better for business. The titles will need to go to…

Prediction: Randy Orton & Bray Wyatt wins the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship after defeating Heath Slater & Rhyno

Baron Corbin vs. Kalisto

Baron Corbin has been a real bully to Kalisto. He will most likely dominant Kalisto again in this contest. But Corbin’s flaw is his pride; he underestimates Kalisto’s abilities and this will cost Baron this Sunday. Expect an exciting match fused with brawling and high-flying action. But who will come out on top? WWE and their fans love an underdog story. An upset victory will only enrage Corbin and prolong the feud. And Kalisto will want some retribution for Baron costing him the Cruiserweight Championship at the last pay per view. The little guy will most likely humiliate the big guy at the end of the night.

Prediction: Kalisto defeats Baron Corbin

Nikki Bella vs. Carmella

“The Princess of Staten Island” will once again face off against Total Divas star Nikki Bella. Will the brash, young starlet overcome this former Divas Champion? Last time they clashed on pay per view, Carmella lost. Will she lose again to Bella on Sunday? I don’t think so. WWE needs to build up their SmackDown women’s division. And they can’t just turn their NXT call-ups into jobbers.

Because the Big 12 does not have an official conference championship game, the matchup between the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys will determine the winner of the conference, and could also result in an outside, but possible chance at getting a birth in the College Football Playoff.

The Bedlam Series is one of college football’s most heated rivalries, and with everything that’s potentially at stake with Saturday’s contest, this game could be one of the best we have seen all season.

After starting off the season 1-2, ninth-ranked Oklahoma has since reeled off eight wins in a row and looks like one of the best teams in all of college football over the last two months. Led by junior quarterback Baker Mayfield, the Heisman hopeful has made this offense one the best in college football with his 37 total touchdowns (35 passing 2 rushing). He’s not the only Heisman contender on this offense, senior wide receiver Dede Westbrook has put up monster stats with 70 catches, 1354 yards, and 15 touchdowns. If Oklahoma wants to win and have any shot at the playoff, these two need to play big on Saturday.

The 10th ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys would probably stand a much better shot at getting a playoff birth if it wasn’t for one of the craziest endings in not just college football, but in all of sports, earlier this year in a loss to Central Michigan. They’re still 9-2 on the year, and are currently second in the Big 12 as it currently stands. Much like Oklahoma, the Cowboys are also one of the best offensive teams in the country as they average 40.2 points a game.

Both teams have two of the best coaches in college football in Bob Stoops and Mike Gundy, so it will be interesting to see what their approach is on Saturday. This has the potential to be an absolute shootout (as all Big 12 games d0), and I cannot wait to watch this game.

JoJo may be the curviest woman on WWE television. Don’t believe me? Just look for yourself! She first burst onto the scene of WWE in May 2013 as a cast member of Total Divas. Now, she finds herself on WWE Raw and pay per view events as a ring announcer and backstage interviewer. She has already been in the WWE for over three years, yet she is still very young at 22-years-old. Hopefully, she can stick around longer (for our sake). The sky sure is the limit for this sexy bombshell.

JoJo is a novice when it comes to in-ring competition. She’s only appeared in a few matches back in 2013 during the AJ Lee vs. Total Divas story-line. And even then, her in-ring participation was extremely limited (to say the least). But her beauty appears custom-made for the camera. So, I’m glad WWE kept her around anyway. Obviously, she wasn’t hired for her athleticism or wrestling skills. Also, on a side note, did you know she’s the daughter of retired Major League Baseball player José Offerman? The 2016 SEC Championship Game is today as the undefeated, top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide from the SEC West faces off against the No. 15 Florida from the SEC East at the Georgia Dome.

Let’s face it, Tiger Woods is the only reason anybody cares about the golf. And even 8 years since his last major, Tiger Woods remains golf’s sole megastar.

But a lot has happened since Tiger improbably won the 2008 US Open on one leg. He’s had his golf game fall apart, and his knees turn to silly putty. And of course his marriage fell apart and Woods subsequently was treated for a sex addiction.

It remains to be seen whether Tiger’s body can hold up and if he still has his famous mental edge. While it appears a longshot that Tiger can reascend to the top of the golf game, we’ve seen Tiger accomplish incredible feats so many times that it would be foolish to completely count him out. And shots like this beautiful birdie from the bunker on the fifth hole today have us cautiously optimistic.

It’ll be a while before we know for sure if Tiger is anywhere near his former ridiculous play, but the signs from the Hero World Challenge have been so far mostly encouraging. He birdied four of the first five holes today, before struggling on the back nine, including a double bogey on 18, to end up with a 2-under-par score of 70. While the end to today’s round was surely disappointing, Tiger has looked healthy and focused through the first 54 holes, and is currently a respectable 8-under for the tournament.

College football’s most competitive conference will crown a new champion tonight, as the No. 6 Wisconsin Badgers face off against No. 8 Penn State Nittany Lions in the 2016 Big Ten Championship game.

The Wisconsin Badgers (10-2) find themselves in the Big 10 Championship game after a Week 1 upset of LSU to vault into the Top 10. Aside from losses to top 5 teams Michigan and Ohio State, the Badgers had an incredible season with a 6-0 record against West Division opponents.

On the other hand, The Penn State Nittany Lions (10-2) came into the season supposedly in rebuilding mode. However, after a 24-21 upset of Ohio State and an eight-game winning streak to close out the season, Penn State was able to win the Big 10 East Division.

In news that stunned the football world, Joe McKnight was killed by a man named Ronald Gasser in what the police have called a road-rage incident on Thursday. In a news release on late Friday, the Jefferson Parish Sherrif’s Office said Gasser had been involved in another road rage incident at the same intersection in 2006.

According to the release, the previous incident, which occurred on Feb. 20, 2006, began when a 51-year-old man saw a man later identified as Gasser driving “unsafely” down a New Orleans road in a red pickup truck. The man first dialed a number printed on the truck instructing people to call if they saw the vehicle being operated unsafely. Gasser, the pickup’s driver, answered the call, police said.

The two got into what police described as “a verbal altercation” on the phone before the caller pulled into a service station to refuel. Police said Gasser followed the man into the service station, where he “began to strike him with a closed fist several times.”

After Gasser left the station, police said, the alleged victim dialed 911 to report the incident.

Investigators located Gasser and issued a misdemeanor summons for simple battery, but the charge was later dismissed for what remain unknown reasons.

This revelation surely won’t comfort those who are agitated by the fact that Gasser was let free during the ongoing investigation Gasser has admitted to killing McKnight with three gunshots through the passenger’s seat window of his car, but Louisiana’s “stand your ground” law might provide Gasser with a legal justification for the shooting. The police have said they chose not to keep Gasser in custody “out of an abundance of caution”.

McKnight was 28 years old.

He had been an NFL running back who played three seasons for the New York Jets from 2010-2012, and two games for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014. He was among the most highly touted high school prospects in the country, and then played college football at USC.

Win and you’re in. That’s the mentality that the Clemson Tigers need to have in order to punch their ticket to the College Football Playoff on Saturday Night. To do so, they’ll have to go through the ACC Coastal Division Champs Virginia Tech Hokies first.

Coming off their National Championship appearance from last year, Clemson came back this year with an 11-1 record, including wins against Auburn, Louisville, and Florida State. Their lone loss of the season came from a last-second field goal at home against the Pitt Panthers, and although Clemson hasn’t looked as good as they did last year, they’re still one of the best teams in the country. Junior Quarterback Deshaun Watson is having another Heisman-contending season, as he’s led the Tigers with his 34 touchdowns through the air and 4 on the ground. For Clemson to avoid the upset, Watson will have to continue his high level of play on Saturday.

The Hokies haven’t been too bad themselves this season, as they’ve posted a 9-3 record, including wins against North Carolina, Miami, and the aforementioned Pitt Panthers who beat the team they’ll be playing on Saturday. Virginia Tech’s offense isn’t nearly as good as Clemson’s, but their defense has led them throughout the season, and if they have any shot at upsetting the Tigers, the Hokie defense will have to play as good, if not better than they have all season.

On paper, Clemson is the better team and should clinch a birth in the College Football Playoff with a win Saturday night, but crazier things have happened. I’m not ruling out the Hokies, so we’ll just have to see what this matchup has in store for us.

The schedule release date has already been changed a few times, but as of now you can expect to be able to see it on June 9, 2017.

Sleight

WWE Studios usually puts out straight-to-DVD garbage starring WWE Superstars, but Sleight looks like it could be a solid thriller. It was made independently and WWE Studios only purchased the distribution rights after it premiered at Sundance, so hopefully it will be a level above movies like The Marine 4 starring The Miz.

Sleight is about a street kid who uses magic to survive in a rough environment. Not the most original premise, but “Chronicle Meets Iron Man” sounds pretty cool. It comes to theaters on April 7, 2017.

The news that Conor McGregor applied for and was given a California boxing license this week reinvigorated speculation that the UFC superstar could face off in a boxing ring against Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. In a Q & A in front of a ruckus audience at The Devenish bar in Belfast, McGregor addressed the potential fight with the brash attitude that we’ve come to expect from the Irishman.

“Originally what happened was, Floyd called me out,” McGregor said. “That’s originally what happened. I don’t care about Floyd. I don’t give a f*ck about Floyd. I don’t give a f*ck about Floyd. I don’t fear no man under no rule set.”

“F*ck Floyd’s manager,” McGregor replied when told that manager’s manager Leonard Ellerbe said Mayweather would kick his ass, “Tell him to come say it to me face. I’ve got the boxing license, now Floyd’s in the Bahamas. He was just there a minute ago and I get the boxing license and he’s gone.”

McGregor then hinted that perhaps he would box someone else,”They’re scrambling right now, but that’s OK,” McGregor said. “I’ll leave them scrambling. I’ve got some other boxing opportunities, some potential opponents in mind. Some previous Floyd opponents. I can bring in anyone in the game. We’ll see what happens.”

Also in the 10-minute interview, McGregor said that despite the UFC stripping him of the title, “I’m still the two-weight world champion… I’ll say to the UFC, and I love the company, you’re fooling nobody. You’re fooling nobody with that. I’ve still got those belts. Someone’s got to come take those belts from me physically.”

Love him or hate him, McGregor is easily the most charismatic athlete in the world right now.

I still ever doubt he enters a boxing ring though. All press is good press and the speculation that he’d box Mayweather just adds to his negotiating leverage with the UFC. But the UFC just have too much invested in McGregor to actually let him try his hand at the sweet science, and the risk just doesn’t equal the reward for McGregor to try a different combat sport after ascending to the top of the UFC.

Of course there’s always a chance, but I think it’s a much stronger bet that we’ll see McGregor at a WrestleMania than in a boxing match.

Verne Lundquist is a great example of perseverance paying off. The voice of SEC football didn’t land that job until he was 60 years old, and didn’t even have a full-time broadcasting role at a network until he was 42. All college football fans are grateful that he stuck with it, and now it’s hard to remember the time before Verne started calling every big SEC game  with his infectious enthusiasm for both football and life.

During his final SEC game this afternoon- the SEC championship between Florida and Alabama- the 76-year-old was given a well-deserved tribute by CBS. The video recalls some of the many great moments and calls from Lundquist’s career and shows how he’s been honored by schools throughout the conference this whole season.

If you’re a college football fan, it’ll give you all the feels.

And then at the end of the broadcast, Verne got a bit choked up.

They’ll chant this if a match seems boring or if they notice “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev come out without his lovely wife by his side. Rusev is coming out to wrestle, but much of the audience (mostly guys) want to see Lana in all her glory. Lana is bait to the eyes of many men in the crowd, and they’ll make their desires known each Monday night when she comes out to speak and stand by her husband. For this thirsty crowd, it doesn’t matter that she’s married because she’s hot!

Lana may act like she’s a Russian villain in the vein of Rocky and Bullwinkle, but in reality, she’s an American through-and-through. Besides her role on television, she has also lent her talents to acting, singing, dancing, and modeling. She appeared in feature film musicals such as Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2. She was also once signed to Ne-Yo’s record label back in 2009. Lana has only participated in a select few wrestling matches throughout her WWE career. But that doesn’t seem to matter to WWE’s fans. Her beauty shines through to them, making her one of WWE’s most popular performers as a result. She is just that sexy!

After a week off, Saturday Night Live returned to our lives this week, beginning with a cold open that had Alec Baldwin reprise his role as President-elect Donald Trump.

During the sketch, Donald’s compulsive use of Twitter is lampooned throughout. While his advisors, including Kate McKinnon as Kellyanne Conway, try to get him focused during a security briefing, the President-elect just can’t stop himself from re-tweeting random people who compliment him.

The real Donald Trump basically proved their point by lashing out at Saturday Night Live on Twitter before the episode was even done. The guy really can’t stop himself from venting on Twitter apparently. Sad!

Enough, dude. Stop watching Saturday Night Live waiting to be triggered, and instead spend that time reading your f**king security briefings.

After the most contentious selection process in the three-year history of the college football playoff, the semifinal matchups are set. After this weekend’s conference championship games, the top four remains unchanged from last week’s edition.

In the playoff are Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and Washington, with fifth-ranked Penn State and sixth-ranked Michigan on the outside looking in.

After Penn State won the Big Ten Championship, they appeared to have a strong case to be included over Washington or perhaps even Ohio State, if the committee placed high value in winning a conference championship. After the win last night, Penn State coach James Franklin gave an impassioned case for the Nittany Lions inclusion in an exchange with Fox Sports’s Joel Klatt.

Klatt: You’ve got nine straight wins, the 13th data point as they say, you’re an East Division champion, and the Big Ten conference champion after handling Wisconsin. Do you deserve a spot in the College Football Playoff?

Franklin: Could you rattle those things off again?

Klatt: [repeats accolades]

Franklin: What I do know is we just won the toughest conference in college football. We won nine straight. They say you’re allowed to overcome early setbacks, we’ve done that. It’s on you now, the committee.

But ultimately, the Nittany Lions 2 early-season losses- including a blowout loss to Michigan- made them the odd team out when compared to the one-loss Ohio State and Washington squads.

Alabama, the undefeated juggernaut, earned the top seed as expected after routing Florida in the SEC Championship game. They’ll face Number 4 Washington- who emphatically beat Colorado in the Pac-12 Championship game- in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in the semifinal. The Huskies are the only team of the four making their first appearance in the college football playoff.

Ohio State, who were idle this weekend due to Penn State winning the Big Ten East due to the head-to-head tiebreaker, are the #2 seed. They’ll take on #3 Clemson, who defeated Virginia Tech in the ACC championship game to cement their spot, in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl in the semifinal.

Both semifinal games will take place on New Year’s Eve, with the winners set to square off in the National Championship on January 9th.
