The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be live streamed in 360 video for free online for the first time in the 92-year history of the parade. The live stream will be brought to you by Verizon, who has partnered up with NBCUniversal to provide five strategically placed 360 cameras along the route from which viewers can enjoy the parade, floats and all. And if you’re up earlier than 9:00 A.M. on Thanksgiving, and you want to watch some behind-the-scenes action, as The Verge pointed out that Macy’s will also be posting some 360° clips on YouTube of the floats being blown up, prepared, etc.

Of course, you’ll still be able to watch the NBC telecast on television, which will be the main attraction and suggested method of watching the parade. It’s going to be hosted by Marlon Wayans and Olivia Culpo and will feature the best performances of the day. It’s unknown what kind of audio will be provided on the YouTube live stream.

I think it’s time that we (I) admit that we (I) have a minor (major) man-crush on Conor McGregor. Dude talks the talk and walks the walk better than any athlete I’ve ever seen. And at only 27 years old, McGregor is poised to dominate for another five years or so. I’ve never seen an athlete accomplish so much, so quickly, yet still have so much room to grow. McGregor has Ali level talent both on the mic and in the ring, and if career trajectory continues like this, whether you like it or not, he will be the Ali of this generation.

Hence my point: you could make a legitimate argument that no one on the ENTIRE PLANET OF EARTH is living a better life than Conor McGregor right now. He’s young, rich, talented, handsome, married, and a father-to-be. He talks endless amounts of shit, backs it up, then gets paid for it. Rinse and repeat.

That was wild. It’s like I always say to unsatisfied women, a whole lot of good can take place in just 4.2 seconds. It’s Hump Day. Thanksgiving is tomorrow. AND we’ve got the results for Round One of Miss COED 2017. Could today get any better? Unlikely.

For the past two weeks, you’ve cast your votes, shared your favorites, and posted your support on social media. Tens of thousands of votes later, we managed to narrow down 144 contestants to just 42 semifinalists. With your help, the top three in each conference are moving on, and we’re excited to be one step closer to finding Miss COED 2017.

After today’s practice, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine threw down a spectacular dunk. LaVine’s teammate Andrew Wiggins posted a video of the dunk to his Snapchat and it’s a good thing that he did. Every man, woman, and child on the planet needs to see this incredible feat of athleticism.

The 21-year-old won the Slam Dunk Contest in each of his first two years in the league, and it looks like he’s got a great chance to three-peat. Listen, holidays are extremely hectic, I get that. But cooking the perfect turkey doesn’t have to be. So let’s start with a simple step-by-step process on how to properly tackle this birdbrain.

How Much Meat To Buy

It all depends on the head-count. You’ll need a larger, 15-20 pound bird if you’re hosting a major family reunion. But if you are like my household and just your immediate family is joining you, then you only need an eight-pound turkey. Think of it this way: one to two pounds per person if the bird is smaller. The larger the bird you figure probably one and a half pounds per person.

I’m not very fluent in math so you may need to figure out the ratios on your own, but definitely use the bone-to-meat ratio as a proper guideline. Just think of it this way, the more you buy, the more you have leftover to stuff your face over the next few days!

How To Thaw Your Turkey

Now that you have the proper amount of meat, let’s thaw that bad boy out. You are going to need to fill a large container with cold water. Every 30 minutes you MUST replace the water. For every pound your turkey weighs, it’s 30 minutes added to your thaw time. (Example: an eight-pound turkey thaws for four hours). You definitely want to make sure the turkey is still wrapped, completely submerged breast side down in the container.

When you have finished thawing, make sure you clean out your sink with hot, soapy water. A lot of bacteria and sickness can come from raw meats, so be careful.

How To Brine Your Turkey

What does brining mean? Good question. Basically, it’s the same as marinating your meat. When people say less is more, they are right. So plain and simple: on Thanksgiving Eve let the Turkey sit in salt, pepper, and two cups of turkey broth. That’s it. Short and sweet… Well salty, but still. You got it.

How To Stuff Your Turkey

Alright, let’s fast forward to Turkey Day because time machines are easily accessible in my fantasy world as we speak. So, we are going to preheat our ovens to 325°F-350°F, depending on how strong your oven is compared to the size of your bird). Meanwhile, melt 3/4 cup butter add onions, celery, carrots. Stir until ingredients start to brown. Add in bread, breadcrumbs, herbs, salt, and pepper to taste. Finish it off by putting your stuffing into a cheese-cloth and then delivering the package to the turkey cavity! Voila, you are done! Or at least you’re done for now.

How To Cook Your Turkey

We are almost there! I know, know, this is almost as nail-biting as waiting on the election results, but patience is key. As a rule, you want to cook your turkey at intervals of 20 minutes for every pound. So our turkey is eight pounds, we will cook it for about three hours. Wait, but you have stuffing still inside your turkey, yes. Let that cook for an hour and a half, then take the turkey out. Let it rest for 15 minutes! While the turkey is resting, take your stuffing, throw it into a casserole dish, and let that rest on the side. After 15 minutes has passed put your turkey back in for the last hour and a half. Make sure you have a thermometer and get an internal temperature of at least 165°F.

Finally, the moment we have all been waiting for: stuffing our faces like a bunch of animals. There is no right or wrong way to experience this miracle, but just wholeheartedly eat your heart out.

Thanksgiving Day football kicks off with a battle of two NFC North teams, as the Minnesota Vikings visit the Detroit Lions. With both teams sitting at 6-4, this game has huge implications, as the winner will be in sole possession of first place in the NFC North. This is the second meeting between the two NFC squads this season, as the Lions defeated the Vikings during Week 9 overtime game, 22-16.

Both the Lions and the Vikings have had up and down seasons. Detroit has been one of the most erratic teams in the NFL this year. After defeating the Indianapolis Colts during Week 1, the Lions lost three straight to the Titans, Packers, and Bears. However, they turned their season around with a 3 game winning streak from Week 5 to Week 7. They then lost to the Texans during Week 8, and are on a two-game winning streak since.

The Vikings season, while equally tumultuous, has played out slightly differently. Minnesota came into the season with Superbowl expectations, until starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater got injured. After dealing for former #1 overall pick Sam Bradford, the Vikings began their season 5-0 and looked like one of the best teams in the league. However, since that torrid start, the Vikings have gone 1-4.

With both teams difficult to predicate, a win over the other would go a long way for both of these teams. With first place in the division on the line, we expect an incredibly exciting game between the Vikings and Lions, so find out how to live stream it below!

If you’ve familiar with my blogs, you know I’m a relatively big Jets fan. Father’s from Queens, his father was from Queens, so I’m riding a heavy Jets & Mets cursed fandom for the rest of my days. Needless to say, it’s less than ideal.

HOWEVER, while the Jets & Mets may not provide me with many winning moments, they do give me, and the world, endless HILARIOUS moments. Maybe no moment in the history of sport is funnier than this one.

The day was Thanksgiving day, November 22, 2012. The location was Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The teams were the New York Jets and the New England Patriots. And the quarterback of the Jets was none other than Mark ‘Dirty’ Sanchez.

2012 was the fourth year of the Rex Ryan administration. After his first two years, Ryan and Sanchez were the kings of New York. After two straight AFC Championship appearances, the Jets looked like they had the makings of a perennial contender. Until they didn’t. In year three, they brought in old, washed-up players Plaxico Burress & Derrick Mason and the team took a step back to 8-8. By the time 2012 came around, especially by Thanksgiving on 2012, the Jets were an absolute joke.

I remember watching this game. Hell, I remember what I said at the exact moment. I turned to my Dad and said, “Well, that’s all she wrote.” Because it was at this moment — this very moment — that both Mark Sanchez and Rex Ryan’s careers were effectively over in New York.

The Washington Redskins visit the Dallas Cowboys for the second game of Thanksgiving Day 2016! The Dallas Cowboys are 9-1 and sitting atop the NFC East, all thanks to a nine-game winning streak. They’re led by rookie sensations Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot.

As for the Washington Redskins, after a shaky 0-2 start to their 2016 campaign, the Redskins have rallied beyond quarterback Kirk Cousins, going 6-1-1 since their winless first two weeks. They are coming into the game hot after absolutely thrashing the Green Bay Packers in Week 11. Washington has been playing so well that Kirk Cousins, who is currently on a one-year franchise tag contract, has earned himself a massive payday.

This is the second meeting between the Skins and the Boys this season. In week 2, the Cowboys picked up their first win of the season, defeating the Washington Redskins, 27-23.

While the Cowboys look like one of the best teams in the NFL, COED likes the upset for this Thanksgiving Day special, with the Redskins walking away with a 28-27 victory.

Some people can be totally insane when it comes to selfies and it can be very dangerous. Selfies can even be deadly (literally speaking). More and more people are succumbing to a selfie-related death each year. As a result of this deadly streak of photographic disarray, modern science is working out ways to prevent these deaths by selfie.

Only eight months into 2016 there had already been 73 reported selfie-related fatalities. This number is a lot more than the previous year, during which only 39 selfie-induced deaths were recorded in 2015. And 73 selfie-related deaths is much more than the amount of selfie deaths in 2014, in which only 15 people reportedly died from the consequences of foolish snapping.

So many people are dying from selfies that it is starting to get ridiculous (even more so than it already is). These alarming deaths have caused PhD student Hemank Lamba to work on an app that will help warn people if and when they are taking a photo someplace dangerous. According to the Technology Review, he will be joined by a team at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh to work out this increasingly important app.

Lamba looked at all 127 cases in which people have died while attempting a selfie. India appears to be the country most plagued with selfie-related deaths, as they accounted for 73 of the 127 recorded incidents. Meanwhile, Pakistan totaled nine selfie-caused fatalities, while the US has eight selfie-enthusiasts dead so far, and Russia has suffered six loss of life instances when it comes to selfies.

According to these cases, most people died from falling great distances, such as a person trying to capture a selfie atop a tall building or at the edge of a cliff. Other deaths involve a combination of height and water. Some call this natural selection, others just call this stupid!

But selfie-related deaths varied from country-to-country. In Russia and the United States, selfie deaths were more correlated with posing with weapons, such as taking a picture with a pistol and it going off in your hand. One man in the state of Washington ended up fatally shooting himself in the face while attempting a selfie. Meanwhile, in India, more than half of the selfie-deaths relate to someone posing next to train tracks. I’m sure you can guess that they didn’t see the train coming! Ironically, to them, posing by the train tracks is a symbol of long-lasting relationships (but perhaps, not a long-lasting life!).

As a result of this madness, Lamba and his team are concocting a “selfie warning system” app. This will include data of where people have actually hurt themselves in epically fatal selfie fails. He is also thinking about developing an algorithm that can analyze these dangerous selfies on social media sites.

In Mumbai, India, selfie-related deaths have become such a public concern that there are currently 16 “no selfie” zones in place. Hopefully, this can prevent people from being foolish. Sadly, I doubt it.
