I get that Cubs fans are excited that their team won the World Series after over a century of impotence, but doing trust falls off an 18-foot statue just isn’t a good idea. 5 million people showed up to the Cubs World Series celebration, and the idea that you can trust every single one of them with your life just because you all root for the same baseball team is just foolish. If one of the people expected to catch you panics and pulls away, you’re instantly a deadman. But hey, at least you’re a deadman who got to witness his favorite baseball team win the World Series, so it’s not all bad news.

Maybe I just can’t understand all these Cubs fans’ pandemonium because I’m a New Yorker who was spoiled watching the Yankees win four world series by my eighth birthday. But at least a few days ago Cubs fans had a billy goat’s curse to blame for their 108 years without a championship. Now they have to come with grips that there never was any curse and their team was just completely inept that entire time. Isn’t that in a way worse than just thinking your team is eternally cursed?

This Saturday night in Ohio Stadium, the hometown boys look to trample the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Nebraska team just came off of a heart-breaking defeat at the hands of the Wisconsin Badgers, which ended their season-long undefeated streak with a score of 17-23. The Lego Batman Movie

Batman was easily the funniest character in the endearing original Lego Movie and now he makes his star turn in this spin-off. If the trailer is any indication, it looks like the creators hit the mark again with The Lego Batman Movie. You’ll be able to see it in theaters on February 10, 2017.

T2: Trainspotting

The 1996 cult classic Trainspotting is one of the most bizzare, out-of-control movies ever made. Two decades later the whole cast is back for the sequel and, from the looks of the trailer, fans of the original are in for a treat. The British T2: Trainspotting hits theaters in the United States on February 3, 2017.

Wonder Woman

Whereas Marvel movies consistently deliver, DC Comics movies have been quite the mixed bag over the years. Gal Gadot stars as the titular character in Wonder Woman, and we’re cautiously optimistic that this will be a bright spot in DC’s collection. It should at least be better than Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, though that’s not saying much. It doesn’t arrive in theaters until June 2, 2017.

xXx: Return of Xander Cage

The original xXx came out in 2002 and seemed at the time like Vin Diesel had himself another high-paced franchise. But Vin Diesel had to drop out of the 2005 sequel, and with Ice Cube in the lead role the movie was a box office disappointment. Now after being killed off in the beginning of the second movie, Vin Diesel’s Xander Cage makes his triumphant return. These movies are definitely formulaic, but they’re an entertaining watch. xXx: Return of Xander Cage looks like it should probably be a summer movie, but instead has a January 20th release date.

Things have gone from bad to worse for ex-Playboy Playmate Dani Mathers. In July, Mathers posted to social media a nude photo of a woman in the locker room with the condescending  caption “If you can’t un-see this, I can’t either.” Unfortunately for Mathers, the authorities couldn’t unsee the picture either, and she has now been charged with invasion of privacy.

If convicted, Mathers faces up to six month of jail time and a $1,000 fine. She is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 28.

Mathers was roundly criticized for the body-shaming photo, and Playboy severed its relationship with Mathers as a result. It was a precipitous fall from grace for Mathis, who won the prestigious Miss Coed years ago and was named the 2015 Playmate of the Year.

She said that she made the photo public accidentally. “That was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do,” she said in an online video in July. “I know that body-shaming is wrong. That is not the type of person I am.”

And this is why you don’t take photos of strangers in the gym locker room, ladies and gentlemen.

On Saturday Night Live last night, there was a hilarious though highly uncomfortable sketch about an 83-year-old’s traumatic bachelorette party. Aidy Bryant played the elderly lady, and did an admirable job staying “dead” while Mikey Day and Benedict Cumberbatch were doing all sorts of ridiculous male stripper shenanigans to her,

The already absurd sketch was taken to another level when World Series Champion Chicago Cubs stars Dexter Fowler, David Ross and Anthony Rizzo appeared as guest strippers.

The players also appeared later in the episode during ‘Weekend Update’ with diehard Cubs fan Bill Murray to sing a rambunctious version of “Go Cubs Go”. While this felt like an underutilization of Murray, the sight of one of the greatest comedic geniuses on the planet on the show that made him famous is always a welcome sight. And Bill Murray can celebrate the Cubs World Series however he wants because he’s Bill F**king Murray.

The sixth episode of HBO’s epic new drama Westworld drops tonight on HBO, HBO Now, HBO Go, and HBO On Demand. Developed by Jonathan Nolan (Christopher Nolan’s brother) and Lisa Joy, Westworld is based on the 1973 film of the same name, which was written and directed by Michael Crichton. John Nolan serves as executive producer along with Joy, J. J. Abrams and Bryan Burk with Nolan directing the pilot. HBO is hoping Westworld will be their next massive hit after Game Of Thrones ends. Initial reviews for the series are incredibly positive, with Rotten Tomatoes saying “With an impressive level of quality that honors its source material, the brilliantly addictive Westworld balances intelligent, enthralling drama against outright insanity.”

Described as “a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin,” the series tells the story of a futuristic theme park called Westworld. The Westworld synopsis reads:

Westworld isn’t your typical amusement park. Intended for rich vacationers, the futuristic park — which is looked after by robotic “hosts” — allows its visitors to live out their fantasies through artificial consciousness. No matter how illicit the fantasy may be, there are no consequences for the park’s guests, allowing for any wish to be indulged. “Westworld” — which is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton movie of the same name — features an all-star cast that includes Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins and Golden Globe winner Ed Harris.

HBO’s Westworld‘s first season has been amazing so far. Between the mysteriousness of Dr. Ford’s and Bernard’s motives, to The Man in Black’s quest to find ‘the maze,’ and of course Dolores’ march toward sentience, the show looks like it’s shaping up to be the next great television phenomenon. Last week’s episode connected a lot of dots and gave us more clues to both Dr. Ford’s and The Man In Black’s motivations. Last night, the Oakland Raiders defeated the Denver Broncos 30-20 to improve to 7-2 and move into first place in the AFC West. It was a gigantic win for the Raiders, who look primed to head to the playoffs for the first time since 2002.

While casual football fans probably think that running back Latavius Murray was the MVP of the night, they couldn’t be more mistaken. I guess running for 114 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries is a decent game, but the real difference maker was punter Marquette King. Just watch his scintillating celebration after pinning the Broncos deep inside their own territory.

Doing the bull dance, feeling the flow, working it, working it. That’s how you win football games. You make your opponent drive the length of the field, and then you cruelly taunt them by pretending to ride livestock. Pretty sure that’s the same philosophy Vince Lombardi used when he coached. You kill two birds with one stone by winning the field position battle and mentally pummeling your opponent into submission.

King also busted out this snazzy move because he’s the coolest punter in the history of the NFL.

Planet Earth II debuted last night on BBC America to amazing reviews, but there was perhaps no better moment than the scene depicting what happens to Marine Iguana hatchlings when they’re born. It was like something out of a Hollywood movie, except it’s real, and all filmed in stunning 4K.

The scene starts on the beach, as a Marine Iguana hatchling is born underneath the sand. His goal is to make it to the rocks near the sea, where he’ll be safe, but first, he has to traverse a long path which is absolutely teeming with enemies–namely the numerous racer snakes who all want an easy meal. What happens next can only be called one of the greatest chase scenes in movie history, as the snakes come from everywhere trying to chase down the baby iguanas.

Watch and be amazed.

Well, people, it’s here: the end of the world. Just kidding. Kind of. It’s election day and like any reasonable person, you’re going to deal with the misery of it all by drinking. At least that’s what we’re doing. Maybe if we get drunk enough, we’ll be able to convince ourselves that this was all just a bad dream.

In all seriousness, though, as miserable as this election cycle has been, get out there and vote. Sober, drunk, depressed, or terrified, just do it. Then spend the next four years complaining about the other guy, and we’ll start all over again in 2020!

According to various gossip sites, Reggie Bush allegedly offered his “professional girlfriend” and cocktail waitress Megan Exposito $3 million to have an abortion after he got her pregnant.

As the story is told, Exposito had been known to hook up with Miami Heat great Alonzo Mourning for years. In fact, the rumor is that the 34-year-old started taking fertility treatments to make herself more capable of having his kid. But instead of having Zo’s child, she appears to have been impregnated by the Buffalo Bills running back.

Once Bush learned about this new development, he allegedly offered Exposito $3 million for an abortion. She’s turned it down, however, and is now six months pregnant. How’s she spending that time? By shopping for a new house on the beach in Miami. Gotta respect the confidence in the fact that you’ll be getting some serious child support checks come birth.

The #MannequinChallenge is the newest craze in the streets. It’s starting to gain traction like other viral videos before it, such as The Harlem Shake and The Running Man Challenge. It goes strong for a few weeks and then fizzles out. Everyone, from high school kids to NFL players in locker rooms, is giving it a shot. The objective of the challenge is extremely simple. Stay still and do not move because you are a mannequin. It’s not rocket science. Here’s a pretty solid one done by Penn State football.

Like I said, you don’t need to be a genius to know what to do. So last night, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his front office executives decided to give the mannequin challenge a shot on his private plane. With the Cowboys improving their record to 7-1 yesterday with a win over Cleveland, my guess is Jerry was feeling good and decided to just go for it.

HAHAHAHAHA. I just laughed out loud. It’s easily the funniest mannequin challenge so far. Jerry Jones just trying to be the hip and cool 74-year-old. Hey Jerry, you know you’re not supposed to move, right? It’s like he forgot what he was doing midway and said screw it, I want a bite of my pizza. Full-on arthritis kicking in right there for Jones. It almost looks as if he just couldn’t hold the pizza anymore. It might’ve been too heavy for the guy and if that’s the case, that’s depressing. I hope I never get to an age where I can’t hold up a slice of pizza.

I guess if my team was 7-1 and I was worth $5.2 billion, I’d be totally ok with messing up a viral video, too.

Enough is enough, the New York Football Giants have finally cracked the top ten in the power rankings (by default)! What a time to be alive! This week’s power rankings are going to be looking a lot different than before. We’re still going to have New England and Dallas at the top of the list, but there will be a few new teams added in, as well as teams dropping out, and others moving up or down the list. I know I’ve said before how the NFL hasn’t been great this year, which it hasn’t, but the playoff race is starting to heat up so hopefully the quality of play picks up, and if it doesn’t just give me more ties because ties are hilarious. Week 10 is here, so let’s get into this week’s power rankings:

1. New England Patriots

No change at the top of our list, as the Pats still sit at number one. New England is coming off their bye week, and face their toughest test this season as the Seahawks come into town on Sunday Night. Not really too much else to say about the Pats that I haven’t already said this season, Tom Brady is still really good, Belichick is still the best coach in the league, and Gronk is still unguardable. Still can’t imagine them not playing in the Super Bowl come February.

2. Dallas Cowboys

Congrats on beating the Browns, we’re all so impressed. Honestly, it’s embarrassing that the Cowboys gave up 10 points to Cleveland on Sunday, I should move them down the list just off of that alone. Just a friendly reminder for all of you that forgot, Dallas’ only loss this year was courtesy of the Giants… but yeah they’re really good. Whatever.

3. Oakland Raiders

Just win, baby! In one of the few bright spots of this shitty NFL season, the Oakland Raiders are finally back. In their biggest game since the Super Bowl against the Buccaneers when they got the doors blown off them and sucked for the next 10+ years, the Raiders took down rival and defending Super Bowl Champions Denver 30-20, officially throwing their hat into the Contender ring. They’re sitting at 7-2 atop their division, and show no signs of slowing down as they head into a much-needed bye week. Thanks for making this season somewhat salvageable Raiders.

4. Atlanta Falcons

I guess the Falcons are for real, who knew? Matty Ice continues to look like an MVP candidate as he tossed another four touchdowns on Sunday, and Julio Jones is still the best receiver in football. While I still need to see them win a playoff game for me to consider them a legitimate threat, Hotlanta has definitely surprised a lot of the doubters so far, including my hatin’ ass.

5. Denver Broncos

Even after a loss to Oakland this past Sunday, Denver is still in the top five. While their offense is still a work in progress week by week, they have arguably the best defense in football, and they obviously know what it takes to win come playoff time. I’d also like to give a shoutout to Demaryius Thomas, who has been my leading receiver in fantasy this season, as we are currently riding high on a three-game win streak. That guy rocks.

6. Minnesota Vikings

As I just praised Demaryius Thomas for helping my fantasy team, I would like to take this time to bash Jamaal Charles, whom I used a second round pick on, for being a bust of a pick because he’s on the IR. Now that I got off my chest, the Chiefs just keep on winning. Sure they may have beaten the Jags, who suck, but a win is a win, and they now have six of them on the year. And even though he’s damn good at football, Travis Kelce having his own reality show makes him kind of a douchebag. Sorry for all the negativity directed towards you Kansas City, I’m a spiteful asshole.

7. Seattle Seahawks

I hate myself for still believing in the Seahawks, but here we are. They’ve benefited from playing in a dog shit division this year, but when push comes to shove I’m still going to take my chances with that defense and Russell Wilson. They’ve got a tough road test this Sunday against New England, but if they can come away with a win (they won’t and I’m betting heavy on the Pats), I will have been proven right to have not given up my faith in them.

8. Minnesota Vikings

Man, talk about a fall from grace. They’re in the midst of a three-game losing streak, and their defense is no longer the dominant force that I need them to be for my fantasy team. Things are not looking good up in Minnesota. Their remaining schedule is pretty tough, so they could possibly fall out of the playoff race altogether. Minnesota, figure it out.

9. New York Giants

DO NOT LET THE GIANTS GET HOT! What a roller coaster season it’s been for the G-Men, won their first two, dropped their next week, and now they’re on a three-game win streak. As the great Vince Lombardi once said, “What the hell is going on out there?!” Their recent success is due to a large part of improved play of their defense who are now getting turnovers, and the resurgence of Odell Beckham Jr. New York is in prime position to land a wild card spot, just as long as they don’t have one of their annual second half collapses. If the Sports Gods know what’s good for them, they’ll make sure that the Giants get in the playoffs, because Eli is the only one who can save us from Dallas going to the Super Bowl.

10. Detroit Lions

The freakin’ Lions man. I have no idea how they keep pulling these wins out of their asses, but they’ve done it five times already this year. I’ll admit it was either the Lions or Texans I was going to put in the tenth spot, but the Texans didn’t play this week and JJ Watt is a douche, so Detroit gets the final spot in our power rankings. By no means are the Lions a contender this year, or ever for that matter, but Mattew Stafford is playing extremely well this year, and has put them in position to compete for a division title. So keep doing you Detroit, just make sure you lose on Thanksgiving because watching the Lions get blasted on Thanksgiving is a special tradition of mine while I don’t help my mother cook.

In case you haven’t been following along with the heated action of Brazil’s Série C soccer league, let me set the scene for you. According to 101 Great Goals, Guarani had already locked up the championship before their regular season finale against Boa. Even though the match didn’t matter, a Guarani defender named Ferreira got frustrated that Boa was whipping their ass. During the second half of Boa’s upset 3-0 win, Ferreira lost his damn mind after getting a red card.

Jesus Christ, what a maniac. Not only was that a huge dick move, it was also totally unnecessary. You’re already the champions, Ferreira, so who the hell cares if you get a red card? Just go into the locker room and pound some celebratory beers like a normal person. I really wish another referee came flying out of nowhere and Zinedine Zidane’d that jerk into next week.

Ferreira needs to study this tape of Travis Kelce, as this is the proper and classy way to argue with a referee. Sportsmanship, don’t leave home without it!

Ah, finally, an issue that REALLY matters. No more emails. No more p*ssy grabbin’. No Russia. No China. No North Korea. NOPE. It’s ALL about the Redskins.

Forget that Cleveland team that just played in the World Series with the other red-faced logo, this ad is clearly trying to sway undecided Virginia and Maryland voters. Gotta give it to Trump for scrapping the barrel on this one. With 24 hours to go, the guy might f*ck around and win this thing if he squeezes out every possible vote.

Trump’s updated campaign slogan should be: Vote Trump: Save the Redskins & F*ck All That Other Nonsense.
