The Tennessee Titans beat the hell out of the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night, picking up a 36-22 victory over their AFC South rival. The game wasn’t even that close, as most of Jacksonville’s scoring was done in garbage time, which should be Blake Bortles’ middle name at this point. With their Week 8 win, Tennessee is now 4-4 on the season, and they are currently only a half game back of the Houston Texans for first place in the division.

HBO seems to have it all. From the sex and violence of Game of Thrones to the sex and awkwardness of Girls to the tech-geek wonderland of Silicon Valley, there are a ton of different choices on the channel. And now, this beloved premium network is eagerly considering bringing back a critically-acclaimed mini-series for a second season. The Night Of, a compelling crime drama was just unveiled and streamed online in the early summer before making its television debut a few weeks later and almost instantly becoming one of television’s best critically-ranked shows (just check out Rotten Tomatoes, with the show’s 95% rating, and the “universal acclaim” that the show received on Metacritic). It may not be an enduring, epic blockbuster like Games of Thrones, but according to the consensus of Rotten Tomatoes, The Night Of is a show that “is a richly crafted, exquisitely performed mystery that will keep viewers enthralled and leave them devastated.”

The Night Of wasn’t exactly a ratings powerhouse like the previously-mentioned medieval-inspired series that relies on a fantasy world of kings, queens, sex, blood, and dragons. But The Night Of  had a strong story that got viewers invested in its story without any elaborate setting or fantastical characters or creatures. After the first episode, the viewership spiked with an almost 40% increase for the second episode and remained at that level for the remainder of the season. The viewers just got so wrapped up in case of this mystery-driven mini-series that many must have felt disappointed when the season ended so soon, with only eight episodes, as they were left starving for more. At first, the show was only slated for eight episodes to end the entire series, but HBO executives are beginning to think otherwise.

What Happened At HBO?

The top brass of HBO seems to also be won over by the attractive drama dripping from The Night Of, and are mulling over the idea of a second season. HBO’s president of programming Casey Bloys basically told Variety that the network is all for a new season, but the stars need to align properly and they’ll need to have the right idea in place before they go about creating the second season. Or else they’ll be making programming with no passion or inspiration attached. Bloys said, “The only issue with doing another season is for them to come up with an idea that excites them. Steve [Zaillian] and Richard [Price] are talking and sharing ideas. I think it’ll be a longer process, probably. Both of them take their time and will only do something they’re really passionate and excited about. They’re not going to do another season just to do another season.”

“My guess is, it would be [one case in a season]. I think they’re talking about a lot of different variations, so at this point, all I know is that they’re talking about it. They haven’t come to us with anything. They’re just trying to get themselves excited about a take,” added Bloys in his interview with Variety.

The HBO president of programming also indicated that when the next season finally takes off, the star of the first season John Turturro is someone HBO really wants to snag for the second season. “That would be my hope. I think that’s what they’re thinking. But all of it is speculation at this point,” said Bloys in regards to Turturro reprising his role for the next installment of The Night Of.

But for now we will all just have to wait until HBO’s final decision is made for this increasingly-popular mini-series. We wouldn’t want to rush things and end up with a sub-par season comparable with True Detective, whose second season didn’t resonate with critics like the first one. The Night Of isn’t exactly revolutionary programming, as it follows the classic formula of many crime dramas, but it was done exquisitely with a great cast and story. IGN reviewer Jesse Schedeen said, “This limited series did little to shake up the formula when it (comes to) crime dramas, but it was distinguished by its amazing cast and the pervasive tension that drove the series from start to finish.”

The Night Of Season 2 Premiere Date

What isn’t a mystery is that many people love watching this show and are currently suspended in anticipation, anxiously awaiting for even something like the second season’s release date. We don’t know that information right now. But HBO really wants to set the wheels in motion for the upcoming season as well. The creators of the series are just looking for that right inspiration; the stars need to align just perfectly for the writers, executives, and actors, and then we can tell you when the second season will be released. But don’t fret, good television is just a stone’s throw away! And you’ll get new episodes from The Night Of – you’ll just have to wait! The second season may come out winter 2017, summer/fall 2018 – we just don’t know yet. Any rumored second season release date is simply a shot in the dark for The Night Of.

At some point, you just need to face facts. You weren’t that good at high school sports. You’ll never win the lottery. Meek Mill got absolutely bodied by Drake last summer. Sometimes there’s just not denying the truth.

If I was as rich as her, I would never step foot into a kitchen. I’d have a goddamn army of professional chefs on staff at all times to make all of my gluttonous wishes come true.

It’s a real bummer that we never get to see a photo of the finished product, but that’s just a savvy move by Kylie. The Clemson Tigers are on the hunt in Tallahassee this Saturday night, and they’re starved for some Seminoles. These two teams are not at all strangers, as they’ve met yearly on the football field to pursue and prolong their rivalry for almost 25 years. The Tigers are undefeated so far this season, as they were last season when they defeated the Florida State Seminoles by a score of 23-13. Although Florida State has the longest win streak against Clemson, with 11 wins between 1992 and 2002.

Tigers coach Dabo Swinney said, “This is Clemson-Florida State. It doesn’t matter what the records are. There’s plenty of juice in this one.” No matter what the record books may say, the Tigers are still a force that can run through a pack of Seminoles, who are a fierce top 15 team. There’s definitely a lot of pride on the line as both teams wait anxiously to face off in their annual showdown. The undefeated Nebraska Cornhuskers roll into Madison this Saturday evening to face the hometown team of the Wisconsin Badgers, who they haven’t defeated since 2012. The Cornhuskers seem to have their head in the game, laying opponents such as the Northwestern Wildcats, who they decimated last month with a score of 24-13. But the Badgers are an entirely different animal than the Wildcats, as in 2014, the Badgers went from 3-17 against the Cornhuskers, and by the end of the game, the score said 58-24 with a Badgers victory and a Cornhuskers annihilation.

Nebraska Quarterback Tommy Armstrong, Jr. said, “We have a lot of critics about whether we really are good or not. This is what we work for. This is one of the great teams in our conference, and a lot of people are saying this is the determining factor of whether we go to the Big Ten championship or not.”

The Cornhuskers have been doing fantastic this season and have yet to suffer a loss, unlike the Wisconsin Badgers who have a 5-2 on their win/loss record. #2 Michigan’s perfect season will get be put to the test once again this weekend as they travel to East Lansing to face their Big 10 rival, Michigan State. The teams will not only be battling for Big 10 supremacy but also for the Paul Bunyan Trophy, given to the winning team after the game. Michigan currently leads the all-time series 68-35-5 over Michigan State.

If you don’t remember what happened last year, here’s a video to refresh your memory. It was arguably one of the best and craziest finishes in college football last year.

Michigan will look to avenge their heartbreaking loss to the Spartans from last year. Coach Jim Harbaugh has the team clicking on all cylinders, coming off of a 41-8 victory over Illinois to make them 7-0 on the year. With a matchup with Ohio State on the horizon, all of the pressure is on the Wolverines because one loss could make or break their playoff chances. The player that makes Michigan go is Heisman hopeful Jabrill Peppers aka Mr. Do-It-All. The dynamic Peppers plays offense, defense and special teams and can break a game open with just one play.

On the other side, Michigan State has had a rocky year to stay the least. Just a year removed from a College Football Playoff appearance, the Spartans are on a five game losing streak and are tied for last place in the Big 10. That being said, Michigan State has won seven of the last eight meetings with Michigan Coach Mark Dantonio is a proven winner so do not be surprised if this game is close going into the 4th quarter.

The red-hot Washington Huskies will look to keep their undefeated season alive as they travel to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Utes in one of the biggest Pac 12 games of the season. Both Washington and Utah stand atop of the North and South divisions in the conference so this could potentially be a preview of the Pac 12 Championship game.

Washington has been one of the best stories in college football all year. The Huskies are young, fast and have a Heisman candidate in quarterback Jake Browning, who has 26 touchdowns on the year. It’s amazing to see how far this program has grown over the years. In 2008, Washington went 0-12. Now, in the three years under Coach Chris Petersen, the Huskies have a shot at winning the Pac 12 and making the College Football Playoff.

On the other side, Utah is having a fantastic year as well. Were it not for a goal-line stand by California, Utah would be undefeated and in the Top 10. For Utah to win, they will need to ride the back of Joe Williams, who has rushed for 511 yards combined the past two weeks. Utah is also playing at home, where they have not lost a game since November of last year. College Gameday will also be at Utah tomorrow morning.

After being spoiled over past several weeks by trailers for numerous blockbusters including ‘Logan’, ‘Rogue One‘ and ‘Power Rangers‘, this week’s collection of new movie trailers is relatively tame. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few trailers that caught our eye, including The Rock’s character singing in the latest trailer for the animated Disney movie ‘Moana’. Here’s our list of the most intriguing trailers from the past week.

‘Moana’

This clip of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s islander character will put a smile on even the most cold-hearted cynics’ faces. This looks like it’ll resonate with children and adults alike, and has a chance to follow in the footsteps of fellow Disney animated films Frozen and Zootopia by making over $1 billion at the box office. You’ll have the opportunity to see it on November 23rd, 2016.

‘Split’

Early in his career M. Night Shyamalan was heralded as one of the most promising young filmmakers, but after steadily diminishing returns the Sixth Sense director turned into something of a punchline. But his most recent film Visit was a surprise return to form and we’re hopeful he can deliver again in Split, about a man with 23 personalities who abducts three girls. Expect plenty of Shyamalan’s patented twists in this thriller, which hits theaters January 20th, 2017.

Rules Don’t Apply

The final film of legendary director Warren Beatty’s career, Rules Don’t Apply is a quirky comedy set in 1950’s Hollywood. Beatty (Bonnie and Clyde, Dick Tracy) not only directed but also has a starring role as bigwig producer Howard Hughes. It arrives in theaters on November 23rd.

Deceased Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez had both alcohol and cocaine in his system when he and two friends were killed in a boat crash last month off the coast of Miami, the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s said on Saturday. The autopsy revealed that Fernandez was legally drunk with a .147 blood-alcohol concentration, nearly twice the legal limit.

Associate Medical Examiner Kenneth Hutchins listed “boat crash” as the 24-year-old pitcher’s cause of death. Fernandez suffered blunt-force injuries to the head and torso, along with skull and jaw fractures when the boat he was in hit a jetty near Miami Beach on the morning of September 25th.

The autopsies of Fernandez’s friends- Emilio Jesus Macias and Eduardo Rivero- revealed that they were under the .08 legal drinking limit. Rivero also had traces of cocaine in his system, according to the Medical Examiner’s office. It is unclear who was driving the boat that was owned by Fernandez.

Authorities are conducting a homicide investigation.

Fernandez was a beloved baseball star who had fled Cuba to make it to the United States, and was among the best young pitchers in MLB. His death sent shockwaves throughout the Miami community and the sports world.

The NFL is back in jolly old England! Once again, the NFL has crossed the pond, swam out to London, and brought two American teams ready to battle. For the football fans home in the states, they’ll have to up wake up pretty early on the East Coast and will have to manage to wake up at the crack of dawn on the West Coast to watch this Sunday morning showdown between the Washington Redskins and the Cincinnati Bengals. The Redskins are looking to make up for their close loss to the Lions last Sunday in Michigan and regain their previous four-game winning streak. Meanwhile, the Bengals are looking to continue their momentum after defeating the Browns 31-17 in Week 7.

Welcome to Week 8! And welcome back to London! Last week, there was a showdown between the Giants and the Rams in Twickenham Stadium, which ended in a giant victory as the Rams lost 10-17. But in the afternoon air of Wembley Stadium and in the early morning air of those watching in the United States, all eyes will be locked upon some form of screen, whether from a television, tablet, mobile device, computer or whatever – and they’ll all be watching as Washington battles Cincinnati in what is sure to be a game to remember.

I almost forgot to mention: this will be the first time the Washington Redskins have played at Wembley Stadium since 1992 in a preseason game. This presidential campaign has devolved into a dumpster fire, and at this point nobody would be surprised if either candidate actually released an “Ether”-style diss track about their opponent. So naturally we got two rap battle YouTube videos that attempt to convey the absurdity of this election season.

Epic Rap Battles of History- the reigning heavyweight champion of the genre- delivered a gabfest between the two candidates so vicious that it elicits an appearance by Abraham Lincoln to set them straight.

Then YouTuber Jon Cozart aka Paint gave us another take on what a rap battle between the two nominees would look like, with Ken Bone in between them trying to decide which of these buffoons to vote for.

As these videos prove, sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.

Just when you thought this shitshow of an election couldn’t stink any worse, a huge pile of manure was dropped in front of the Warren County Democratic Headquarters in Ohio.

The Warren County office is located just outside of Cincinnati, and the county leans heavily Republican.

As a result of the prank, Warren Democratic Party Bethe Goldenfield chair just laughed it off rather than overreacting. Just kidding. Of course she went absolutely nuts.

“What reasonable person thinks this is OK????” Goldenfield wrote on Facebook. “I won’t be responding to anyone who this this is acceptable behavior. It is ILLEGAL!”

No word who the culprit is, but this seems like the type of savage troll job that could have only been masterminded by the infamous SkankHunt42.

The Bills Mafia have earned their reputation as the rowdiest NFL fans in the country, and today they once again proved why they are in a class of their own. In the third quarter, amidst the Patriots walloping of the home team, someone in the Buffalo stands launched a dildo onto the field in a surefire attempt to go viral.

“Initially I thought it might of been a flag, but I didn’t say it because it didn’t look yellow… It definitely wasn’t a flag,” CBS play-by-play man Ian Eagle quipped.

Hell in a Cell is tonight’s WWE Network event produced by WWE for the Raw brand. It’s taking place at the TD Garden in Boston,Massachusetts. It will be the eighth event under the Hell in a Cell chronology. It is the first ever WWE pay-per-view event to have a women’s match in the main event, with Sasha Banks facing off against Charlotte for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

At this year’s Clash of Champions, Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks and Bayley to retain the Raw Women’s Championship. On the October 3 episode of Raw, after Bayley took out Charlotte’s protégé, Dana Brooke, backstage, Sasha defeated Charlotte by submission to become a two-time champion. A rematch was scheduled for Hell in a Cell and on the October 10 episode of Raw, Sasha challenged Charlotte to a Hell in a Cell match, which Charlotte accepted. This was later confirmed by Mick Foley, making this the first women’s Hell in a Cell match.

Hell In A Cell 2016 Preview

A scary moment took place in Denver today when a San Diego Chargers player collided with Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips on the Broncos sideline. The 69-year-old has been in the NFL for over 40 seasons and has long been one of the most endearing coaches in football. Here is the video of Phillips being wiped out.

And here is video of Phillips being carted off the field.

Thankfully it has since been reported that after being taken to a nearby Denver hospital Phillips is awake and alert.

The fifth episode of HBO’s epic new drama Westworld drops tonight on HBO, HBO Now, HBO Go, and HBO On Demand. Developed by Jonathan Nolan (Christopher Nolan’s brother) and Lisa Joy, Westworld is based on the 1973 film of the same name, which was written and directed by Michael Crichton. John Nolan serves as executive producer along with Joy, J. J. Abrams and Bryan Burk with Nolan directing the pilot. HBO is hoping Westworld will be their next massive hit after Game Of Thrones ends. Initial reviews for the series are incredibly positive, with Rotten Tomatoes saying “With an impressive level of quality that honors its source material, the brilliantly addictive Westworld balances intelligent, enthralling drama against outright insanity.”

Described as “a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin,” the series tells the story of a futuristic theme park called Westworld. The Westworld synopsis reads:

Westworld isn’t your typical amusement park. Intended for rich vacationers, the futuristic park — which is looked after by robotic “hosts” — allows its visitors to live out their fantasies through artificial consciousness. No matter how illicit the fantasy may be, there are no consequences for the park’s guests, allowing for any wish to be indulged. “Westworld” — which is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton movie of the same name — features an all-star cast that includes Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins and Golden Globe winner Ed Harris.

HBO’s Westworld’s first season has been amazing so far. Between the mysteriousness of Dr. Ford’s and Bernard’s motives, to The Man in Black’s quest to find ‘the maze’, and of course Dolores’ march toward sentience, the show looks like it’s shaping up to be the next great television phenomenon. Last week’s episode connected a lot of dots, specifically Maeve becoming aware that her world is not real. Tonight’s episode looks to be another bombshell, so make sure you keep up and find out how to stream the premiere episode online below!

Tonight WWE’s annual Hell in a Cell pay-per-view emanates live from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachussets. Boston is the hometown of WWE Raw Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, and The Boss will defend the title tonight against Charlotte in the first ever women’s Hell in a Cell match. Two other high-profile matches will also take place in the brutal structure: Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship and Roman Reigns vs. Rusev for the WWE United States Championship. So despite the disjointed build to this pay-per-view on Monday Night Raw over the past month, it’s not hard to get excited about a card that features three iterations of WWE’s most notorious match type.

Charlotte def. Sasha Banks (c) vs. to win the WWE Raw Women’s Championship inside Hell in a Cell

Despite the hype for this match, it ended up being a huge disappointment. Before the match the crowd was hot, and the two of them left the ring to fight outside the cell before it fully lowered. They were climbing the cell when Charlotte fell, but then Charlotte took Sasha Banks off the side of the cell and power slammed her through the announce table. That was awesome, but then they killed the momentum by doing the old Mick Foley trope of having her put on a stretcher and then valiantly returning. When the two entered the cell Charlotte got the majority of the offense in on the injured Sasha Banks. They didn’t use the cell to hurt each other as much as you’d hope, didn’t really brutalize each other with weapons and had no particularly memorable spots. In the finish Charlotte tried to throw Sasha threw a table but she just rolled off, then Charlotte hit the Natural Selection to pick up an anti-climatic pinfall victory. Charlotte is now a 3x Women’s Champion.

Cesaro and Sheamus def. The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) (with Kofi Kingston) (c) via disqualification

The New Day retain the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship

This WWE tag team matched skipped a beat, and it ended with a unsatisfying disqualification ending. At the end Cesaro had Xavier Woods in the sharpshooter,  and Kofi Kingston and Sheamus were fighting outside the ring. Because Kingston wasn’t in the match, the New Day were disqualified before Woods tapped out. Woods had a few good high spots, but the Sheamus-Cesaro tag team needs to either break up already or have Cesaro turn heel.

Brian Kendrick def. T.J. Perkins (c) to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Positioned After a ruckus Universal Championship inside the cell, it was always going to be an uphill battle to get the crowd engaged in Cruiserweight Championship match. After another mundane affair between these two, Kendrick appeared to land awkwardly on his knee and it was unclear if he’d be able to continue. But then when Perkins came closer to try to finish off the injured champion, Kendrick revealed that it was a ruse and locked Perkins into his Captain’s Hook submission. Perkins tapped out and Kendrick is the new Cruiserweight Champion. Hopefully he faces somebody besides for Perkins at Survivor Series because these two continue to fail to elicit any response from the audience.

Kevin Owens (c) def. Seth Rollins to retain the WWE Universal Championship inside Hell in a Cell

This was a hell of a “main event” match to have in the middle of the card. In the first portion these two were using the cell to damage their opponents. Then a turning point occurred when Kevin Owens fired a fire extinguisher in a referee’s eyes. The referee opened the door to the cell and was tended to outside when Kevin Owens’ best friend Chris Jericho made a run-in and made his way into the cell before the other referee could stop him. In one awesome spot, Rollins powerbombed Owens through two tables that were set up between the ring and the cell. Right before the referee was about to count to 3, Jericho pulled him out of the ring to keep Owens in the match. Then after Rollins survived a power-bomb chairs were brought into the ring and they each got shots in before the numbers game caught up to Rollins. Owens nailed Rollins with a powerbomb through two upright steel chairs en route to a pinfall. After Owens left with the Universal Championshop, Jericho hit Rollins with a codebreaker for good measure.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson def. Enzo Amore and Big Cass

After months of calling themselves Raw’s most dominant tag team despite piling up loss after loss, Gallows and Anderson get a much-needed victory. Big Cass beat down both men after receiving a hot tag, but when Enzo tagged back in he got caught on an island with Gallows and Anderson. They nailed the Magic Killer on Enzo and got the 1-2-3 before Big Cass could get back in the ring to break it up.

Bayley def. Dana Brooke

This was a ho-hum, straightforward match that after a bland failed to captivate the Boston crowdy.  Bayley predictably picked up the victory via pinfall after a Bayley-to-belly.

Roman Reigns (c) def. Rusev (with Lana) to retain the WWE United States Championship inside Hell in a Cell

Roman Reigns wins this lengthy “main event” that wasn’t actually a main event. While it wasn’t quite the gruesome “Game of Thrones wedding” Corey Graves promised it would be on commentary, this match did get fairly physical after these two introduced a kento stick, steel stairs and a steel chain into the action.  It looked like Rusev might force Roman Reigns to tap out when the Bulgarian Brute locked in the Accolade with a steel chain. Moments later Reigns hit Rusev with a spear off the steel stairs and then got the victory via pinfall.

Even in 2016, you can wear a lotttttt of ‘offensive’ costumes that will fly under the radar. Blackface is not one of them. There are few rules of Halloween, and not wearing blackface HAS to be the number one rule. Everyone knows that. Or at least everyone SHOULD know that. But apparently, this University of Central Arkansas frat bro didn’t get the memo.

Via Arkansas Matters:

“A photo has been circulating that shows a young man in blackface. The photo was shared by a member of the fraternity on a private Instagram account. Screen shots of that post have been further shared. The national Sigma Tau Gamma organization has recommended the student be kicked out of the fraternity.”

I mean, it’s not even a good costume. He went as Bill Cosby. Total lack of creativity. Juice needs to be worth the squeeze, kid.

In response, the University of Central Arkansas released the following statement:

“A short time ago we were made aware of a picture on social media showing what is purported to be a UCA student wearing blackface. This picture is highly offensive and repugnant, and this representation goes against all we, at UCA believe and stand for. This institution embraces all races, cultures, and nationalities. We strive each day to be welcoming, inclusive and diverse, and will always continue to do so. The matter will be investigated by the appropriate University offices, and we can assure the UCA family and all others that it will (be) dealt with accordingly.”

According to the Sigma Tau Gamma CEO, the student has been expelled from the fraternity. It’s hard to feel bad for the kid when it’s so blatantly his fault. But the looks of it, he was a rogue costume and was the only jackass in blackface.
