A group called the New World Hackers have taken credit for the largest DDoS attack in United States history, knocking out huge sites like Twitter, GrubHub, Spotify, and many other insanely popular websites. Although it has yet to be confirmed that the New World Hackers are actually responsible for the attack, an article on a pro-Anonymous blog site called AnonIntelGroup.com has an interview with the group that’s live now. The article is called “Twitter down ? It’s not the Russians …It’s The New World.”

Who Are The New World Hackers?

If the name New World Hackers is familiar to you, you might remember the group from last year’s attack on the BBC that took down the website for a short period of time. Obviously today’s attack is something much bigger, but if there’s anything good to take out of it, it’s that we know just how vulnerable our internet infrastructure can be.

Last year you guys hit BBC as a test of power . What made you guys decide to hit twitter and other services this time?

We have an annual power test each year and this is actually against Russia.  Testing power is the key . Like that we see how much bandwidth each attack outputs…

How big is your botnets?

Our botnet is a supercomputer botnet consisting of over 100,000 iot devices. 

What motivated this most recent show of force?

It’s for the good.. Russia is pretty much saying they are better than the U.S by hacking into everything attempting to start a war. We will show them a war.

Do you feel that people underestimate you guys?

Overall we feel that everyone underestimates us and doubts our possibility until they see it for themselves.

Do you guys worry about the amount of attention this is bringing?

We do worry about the amount of attention it brings, we don’t want federal agents on our ass. That’s why we are in Russia.. 

How do you think Russia would respond after performing an attack of this magnitude?

Russia should respond, but fuck them all. Our message to the world is stay educated.

What Happened?

Early Friday morning, the Dyn DNS Company, which essentially holds the key to accessing many important sites and apps on the web, was attacked by a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. Although many were quick to blame a State Party because of the immense size and success of the attack, the New World Hackers have claimed responsibility for the attack.

According to their own numbers, NWH has a botnet of over 100,000 Internet of Things (IOT) devices that they’re using to spam Dyn DNS.

Honestly an attack of this magnitude would probably have to be accomplished by something a bit bigger than 100K devices, but what do we know? We can say that another theory of who’s responsible is the Mirai-based botnet, a piece of malware that searches for vulnerable IOT devices and infects them, adding them to their botnet. At last estimation, it was believed that almost 500K devices were infected and added to the botnet.

That being said, we’re certainly not discounting the abilities of the New World Hackers. Taking down the BBC is not easy, and they almost certainly have gained in strength and numbers since doing so. We’ll probably find out if they’re for real within the week.

This man needs to be put in a mental institution ASAP. He is a danger to himself and others with this horrifying behavior. Directly under a urinal where you are currently peeing is literally the last place on the planet where I’d put my soda and nachos. Homeboy might as well have gnawed on a urinal cake if he was looking for a snack.

It’s especially upsetting looking at this picture when this whole situation is so easy to avoid. All you have to do is take a piss and THEN hit up the concession stand. It’s never the other way around. Beer before liquor, never been sicker. Grab nachos before taking a leak and you’re a goddamn moron.

Two college football warriors, Texas A&M’s Aggies and Alabama’s Crimson Tide will go toe-to-toe and helmet-to-helmet this Saturday afternoon on CBS. This contest is a round robin tournament the top of the Southeastern Conference, where each team will desperately look for a win to advance in the conference.

Both teams laid waste to the Tennessee Volunteers in their most recent victories. The Crimson Tide decimated the young Tennessee players, with a score of 49-10. On the side of the playing field, the Aggies had a close contest with the Volunteers, winning 45-38 on their home turf of Texas. But now, the Aggies and the Crimson Tide are heading to Alabama for a Top 10 war, which can very well spell the fate for the SEC West title race.

Ready for some college football? Do you think Texas A&M can outlast the Tide? Or do you think Alabama will wash over the Aggies? The Crimson Tide has swept the football field with 11 non-offensive touchdowns, eight of which were the result of the defense intercepting the ball or from another team’s careless playing fumbling the ball. It looks like the final nice days of 2016 are sadly behind us, so it’s time to start spending your weekend afternoons indoors. But it’s not all bad news, as there are plenty of great new movies coming out that you’ll want to see in theaters (or on Netflix) this winter.

Arrival

Sure an alien invasion isn’t the most original premise, but that doesn’t mean we’re not excited for this movie that has Amy Adams saving the world. This is the final intense trailer for the sci-fi thriller, and it arrives in theaters on November 11th.

Assassin’s Creed

While most movies based on video games over the years have been decidedly underwhelming, Assassin’s Creed looks like it might actually be a solid adaptation. The big-budget flick stars Michael Fassbender, and a sequel is already in development. You can see it in theaters on December 21, 2016.

Barry

Before Barack Obama was the most powerful man in the free world, he was a college kid called “Barry” at Columbia trying to figure it out. That’s the period in our president’s life this upcoming Netflix movie explores, with Hollywood neophyte Devon Terrell thrust into the difficult position of depicting the most famous man on the planet. Barry looks like the type of dramatized origin story that will appeal more to President Obama’s supporters than his detractors, but regardless of your political views it’ll be cool to see how the current president is depicted on-screen. You’ll be able to watch it on Netflix on December 16, 2016.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

The first Guardians of Galaxy showed that Marvel could make lesser-known superheroes the focus of a feature film, and have it become among the most beloved of the company’s movies. Guardians had the perfect combination of dope special effects and legit laughs, and we’re hopeful from this sneak peak that Vol. 2 will have more of the same.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t come out until May 5, 2017 though.

Logan

Marvel is the undisputed heavyweight champion of Hollywood, and this week they gave us not one but two trailers for surefire blockbusters set for release in 2017. It’s hard to gage what Logan is exactly about from the trailer, but Hugh Jackman reprises his role as a grizzled Wolverine and it looks like he’ll be kicking ass again in what’s being billed as the final Wolverine movie. It hits theaters on March 3, 2017.

How will Ole Miss stop LSU, a team that looks to be red hot and blazing? Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze says, “I think this is when you find out a lot about yourself, a lot about your team, and a lot about your kids.” Out of the six games that Ole Miss has played in the season, they have only won half, while LSU has won four games this season. But unlike LSU, Ole Miss has not yet turned around disappointment and they’re going up against a team with a fresh coach and a fresh mindset that is all set on winning. So, like Hugh Freeze implies, we’ll learn a lot about each team by the heart they show on the football field, demonstrating to the audience how much a victory for their home team really means for the players, who will break under pressure and who will thrive.

FC Barcelona won their La Liga clash against Valencia 3-2 after Lionel Messi dramatically converted a penalty kick in stoppage time, and the Valencia faithful were understandably frustrated. But one of their fans took his dismay too far by throwing a plastic water bottle at the celebrating group of Barcelona players. The bottle hit Neymar and Luis Suarez in the face in what was a wild scene.

The usually level-headed Messi became incensed and appeared to have yelled “hijos de puta” which translates to “motherf**ckers”. The British tabloid Mirror writes that what Messi appeared to yell in Spanish translates to “The c*** of your mother, son of a thousand w*****!” I’m no expert in lip-reading or Spanish so I’ll take their word for it. Messi appears to have a newfound edge to him now that he has a bleached-blonde boy band hairstyle.

While there’s no excuse for throwing beverages at athletes- ask the excoriated Toronto Blue Jays fan who got arrested for throwing a beer- Neymar can be seen verbally antagonizing the Valencia home crowd after the goal. Luckily, nobody was injured in the incident.

Cubs fan Bill Murray crashed a White House press conference to talk about the Cubs, and he’s far from their only fan who’s excited about the Chicago team’s chances to win their first World Series in over a century.

The Cubs lead the Dodgers 3-2 in the NLCS and have a chance to make it to the Fall Classic with a win tonight. But they will be up against Clayton Kerhsaw- baseball’s preeminent starting pitcher- who will do his best to keep his Los Angeles Dodgers alive for a game 7.

Chicago will start Kyle Hendricks, who is no slouch himself. The right-hander was 16-8 with a dazzling 2.13 ERA. In comparison, Kershaw was 12-4 with a 1.69 ERA.

A devastating DDOS attack has ripped through the world wide web, affecting access to many popular sites such as Twitter, Netflix, Paypal and Spotify. Even media giants such as CNN and The New York Times has felt the wrath of hackers disrupting their business and essentially throwing viewers off their sites. But where is the damage? How significant is it really? Well, see for yourself! We have maps to show the damage. So that you can gauge the cyber chaos for yourself. Oh, so many sites have been gasping for breath from the Distributed Denial of Service flooding the internet.

Who Happened?

Since this morning, DDOS attacks has thrown hundreds of well-known web sites offline. This is cyber war! This issue is truly unprecedented and is the largest DDoS attack in the history of the United States. The third attack occurred only recently, at 4:30 p.m. eastern time Friday, the hackers continued to stand their ground in defiance of the world wide web. And indeed, this action didn’t just affect the United States – this is an attack has sprouted to many corners of the world and in every significantly populated continent (yes, I’m excluding Antarctica. I suppose that place is too cold for anyone to hack it!)

But why are all these web sites playing attacked? Not all the information is out there, since this is breaking news that is constantly updating. But what I can tell you is that the DDos attacks didn’t target web sites specifically, and instead targeted Dyn, Inc., the provider of domain names for these famous web sites. Currently, Dyn, Inc. is investigating the matter and are mitigating “several attacks aimed against the Dyn Managed DNS infrastructure,” with their engineers attempting to identify and fire back at the hackers. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security have also been investigating and monitoring these cyber attacks.

A live map from Twitter shows that the United States has been recovering from the attacks with outages decreasing, but the issue is increasing in other parts of the world. Netflix released another live map, and conveyed similar results. However, there is still numerous outages still existing in the United States. DownDetector shared a map of their own, which displays outages from Level3 Communications, a company which provides telecommunication services to business customers; you can find it all on their website right here! And just look at the mess these DDoS attacks have had on the mainland United States!

Dyn has since reported that “the incident has been resolved” preceding the third attack. Late Friday night, all had cooled and the hackers have been pushed back (for now). Affected web sites are up and running, but this temporary cyber sabotage shows just how vulnerable even the most powerful web sites and corporations can be against the threats posed by hackers.

According to CNBC, these attacks come from devices “infected with malware code released on the Web in recent weeks.” And these attacks are as well coming from “Internet of Things” devices such as DVRs, printers and other appliances that send out the information and dish out cybernetic chaos.

A senior U.S. official likened this attack to vandalism, and said that it does not appear to be perpetrated by any state-sponsored directed destruction. The official also added that it would be impossible to determine when they will find out who is accountable for this worldwide cyber attack.

From Fox News to CNN, this attack has shaken the cyber landscape. And indeed, it even temporary knocked off a website called Indeed. From People to Paypal and from Shopify to Spotify, there is very little refuge from hackers nowadays. There have been hundreds of web sites attacked. Now, that they’re all up ad running again, I’m sure that they’re remaining vigilant and keeping on their toes with the hope of preventing any future cyber attacks on their web sites. They just can’t let these hackers hurt their livelihood!

But for now, the internet is officially out of the red zone. Let’s hope the hackers don’t stir up anymore trouble!

So yeah, Terry Tate is a true internet OG. But he had sadly vanished from our lives for the past 8 years. But if there was ever anyone who needed to be set straight for their outlandish behavior by the office linebacker, it is Donald Trump. So finally Terry Tate made his long-awaited return in this new Funny or Die video to set Trump straight by harpooning the Republican nominee into the Access Hollywood bus after his infamous conversation with Billy Bush.

This Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams and the New York Giants will battle in London in the morning. For the first time in history, an NFL game will be played on a field most accustomed to rugby in Twickenham Stadium. And the Los Angeles Rams aren’t looking so good either, having back-to-back letdowns against the victors being the Detroit Lions and the Buffalo Bills.

Two teams that need a comeback in a big way are looking to fight it out in a London stadium. Both sides will fight hard to make up for a string of disappointment and turn it around for an impressive victory. Chelsea and Manchester United face off today in one of the marquee matchups of the ninth week of the 2016 Premier League season. Both teams came into the 2016-17 season with new management — Chelsea hired former Italian national boss Antonio Conte, while Manchester United hired Chelsea’s former manager, Jose Mourinho. The 2016–17 Premier League is the 25th season of the Premier League, the top English professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. The season began August 13, 2016, and will last until May 21,  2017. Leicester City are the defending champions, with Burnley, Middlesbrough, and Hull City being promoted from the Football League Championship. Rounding out the top four from last season are Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City.

Manchester United, who currently sit in 7th place with 14 points, are coming off of an embarrassing 0-0 draw with Liverpool last Monday. Chelsea, who are in 5th with 16 points, are coming off a 3-0 throttling of defending champion Leicester City. With the season heading into it’s middle stages, every win against a quality opponent will go a long way.

Saturday Night Live was back at it, and to no one’s surprise opened with a parody of the third and final presidential debate. Alec Baldwin reprised his role as Donald Trump, though if you watched the debates it’s still difficult to determine whether Baldwin or Trump was more of a parody of the Republican nominee. Kate McKinnon also returned as her sassy version of Hillary Clinton. And Tom Hanks- perhaps the greatest actor of his generation- expertly portrayed debate moderator Chris Wallace.

Each debate has given Lorne Michaels and company plenty of ridiculous material, and this one was no exception. From “bad hombres” to “nasty woman” to his  continuing to assert that nobody respects women more than he does, there was once again a lot to lampoon on the Donald Trump front. Baldwin also took a jab his brother Stephen Baldwin, who has endorsed Donald Trump and stated this week that he doesn’t find his brother’s impression funny.

Hillary Clinton also got her share of the jokes. McKinnon mocked Clinton’s evasion of questions about her e-mails, and deadpanning the question, “Between the two of us who do you trust to be the President: The Republican… or Donald Trump?”

Another fantastic job all around by the folks at Saturday Night Live.

The undefeated Minnesota Vikings will look to improve their score this Sunday afternoon against the Philadelphia Eagles. The only problem is that the Vikings will be playing on the Eagles home turf in the “City of Brotherly Love.” And with the third-most sacks and as the second-most defensive team in the season, the Minnesota team doesn’t seem so brotherly. The Eagles will have to keep an eye out with pristine focus to find their opponent’s flaws and finally end the 5-0 streak of the only undefeated team in the league this season.

Even though the Eagles aren’t undefeated like the Vikings, they are certainly no slouches. They exploded onto the scene in the beginning of the season, winning their first three games. But the Eagles were defeated during their last two games, consecutively losing to the Detroit Lions and that Washington D.C. team with a name that has certainly stirred up controversy over the years. But our focus is on the Eagles and the Vikings. The team from Philadelphia will look to knock their Minnesota rivals down a peg, while the Vikings look to add the Eagles as a notch in their belt for a so-far perfect season.

Quarterback Carson Wentz looks to get his game back as he both fumbled and threw an interception in a costly performance against the Lions in October 9th during an extremely close contest, where the Eagles lost 23-24. Wentz would only post a 77.7 QB rating. So this young, 23-year-old Eagles quarterback is looking to make up for his most recent shortcomings and show the world why he is a force to be reckoned with in the National Football League. But will he be able to lead his team to victory against the undefeated Minnesota Vikings? Find out this Sunday!

At the start of this season, you would have looked at this game and thought it was going to be a preview of the AFC Championship game, which it still might, but after the Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went down last week with a torn meniscus, their future looks somewhat bleak.

In the midst of a stunning loss to the lowly Miami Dolphins last week, Roethlisberger injured his knee and will be sidelined for the next four to six weeks, really putting a damper on a promising season for the Steelers. While they benefit from playing in a weak division, Roethlisberger’s injury really hurts their chances of securing the first round or home field advantage when the playoffs roll around. Their defense still has some question marks, especially in the secondary, but their offense is explosive enough to where they may be able to tread water during Big Ben’s absence. Unfortunately for them, a perennial juggernaut has come to town, one who is looking to reek havoc on the NFL this season.

Many wondered how the Patriots would fare without quarterback Tom Brady for their first four games of the season, and after going 3-1 it looks like they did just fine.  Since he’s returned from his bogus four game suspension, Brady continues to show why he’s the best quarterback in the game by throwing for six touchdowns and zero interceptions in just two games. It’s incredible that during the Brady and Belichick era that New England has continuously been amongst the top in the league, which has been going on for over 15 years now.

While I think the Steelers should have their hands full on Sunday, especially with spotty backup quarter Landry Jones, they have enough offensive weapons to maybe keep it manageable for them, but I could also see the Patriots steamrolling them to a 6-1 record. Make sure you find out how to live stream the action below!

In the past year, DJ Khaled has took his celebrity to another level with his infamous snapchat account that is mostly videos of him melodramatically saying catchphrases like “major key alert” and “they don’t want you to win” over and over again. Nobody is exactly sure what DJ Khaled’s talent is to begin with, but in our culture that values memes over basically everything else, Khaled has made himself into the undisputed king of Snapchat.

So it shouldn’t surprise anybody that this is the guy who would record a 10-minute series of snap videos documenting the son of his birth. But that doesn’t mean it’s not weird as sh*t.

It’s certainly entertaining for all of us, but I don’t know how his wife put up with this sh*t. There was a human being trying to burst out from inside of her, and there Khaled was filming everything while playing songs from his newest album because this dude doesn’t miss an opportunity to self-promote. And unsurprisingly, Khaled- who gets emotional about running on a treadmill- gets a little choked up when his son arrives.

Alabama was the biggest favorite (18 points) in the history of games between top 6 teams when they took the field against Texas A&M. The Crimson Tide proved their superiority, and emerged as 33-14 victors. They unsurprisingly retained the top spot, followed in the top five by Michigan, Clemson, Washington and Lousville.

Houston- who were ranked #6 in the poll just two weeks ago- were embarrassed 38-16 by SMU for their second straight loss, and fell from #11 to completely out of the rankings.

Arkansas- who were humbled 56-3 by Auburn- and Ole Miss- who fell to LSU by a score of 38-21- also fell out of the rankings this week. The Razorbacks were ranked #17 last week, and the Rebels were #23.

On the other hand, Auburn and LSU were the biggest gainers in the poll this weekend. Auburn and LSU both moved up six spots, to #15 and #19, respectively.

Penn State moved into the #24 spot as a result of their upset of Ohio State. They were sandwiched by the other two newcomers in this week’s top 25, #23 Colorado and #25 Virginia Tech.

AJ Green has been on the shortlist of the best wide receivers in the NFL for years now, but today he had the best catch of his career against the Browns. Andy Dalton launched a hail mary from midfield at the end of the first half and with four Cleveland Browns draped all over him, Green got a mitt on the ball and after several tips was somehow able to keep his concentration and reel it in as the defenders wrestled him to the ground.

Man, you gotta feel for the Cleveland Browns though. That team can’t catch a break.

It’d be hard to argue against this being the catch of the season so far.

Thirteen people were killed and 31 others were injured Sunday morning when a tour bus collided with a big-rig truck on the Interstate 10 near Palm Springs, California. The driver of the bus was among those killed in the accident.

The tour bus crashed into a truck on the westbound 10 at 5:17 a.m. Sunday, reported the Los Angeles Times, citing Jim Abele, a chief with the California Highway Patrol. It was operated by USA Holiday.

Identities of the other victims and survivors of the collision have not yet been reported.

Shortly after the wreck occurred firefighters used ladders to climb into the bus to search for bodies and survivors.

Bodies that had lined the side of the road in white bags were removed, two at a time, in a slow procession of coroner’s vans. The Riverside County Coroner’s office would not confirm the number of fatalities.

The injured were transported to nearby hospitals in the Coachella Valley.

A total of 44 passengers were aboard the bus, according to The Desert Sun. A passenger who was treated at Desert Regional for minor injuries said the tour bus had started in Los Angeles, traveled to Red Earth Casino in Thermal, and was making its return trip Sunday morning.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the collision.
