Though many have said Jordan Spieth is the new Tiger Woods, Spieth’s earnings could argue that he’s well on his way to gaining even more wealth than his predecessor. Formerly ranked number one in the Official World Golf ranking, this golf pro is a two-time major winner and the defending FedEx Cup champion at just 23 years of age. In April 2016, Time magazine named Jordan Spieth one of their “100 Most Influential People,” noting that he “exemplifies everything that’s great about sports.”
Let’s take a look at the money you can bank from being great at sports.

Born on July 27, 1993, Spieth won the U.S. Junior Amateur in 2009 at the young age of 16. He won the same championship again in 2011, joining the ranks of Tiger Woods as the only person with multiple wins at the tournament. Before Spieth’s 18th birthday, in July 2011, he rose to No. 1 in the Polo Golf Rankings, which lists the best junior golfers in the world.

Midway through his sophomore year at the University of Texas in 2012, the 19-year-old Spieth turned professional. Under Armour sponsored Spieth in January 2013 followed by BioSteel Sports Supplements in March. Those marketing dollars were well spent because, in September of the same year, Spieth won PGA Tour Rookie of the Year, banking an impressive $3.8 million in 2013.
Not too shabby, for his first job out of college.

Following the winning streak, Spieth made another $4.3 million in 2014. But his windfall year didn’t come until 2015, when the golfer made a whopping $22 million from on-course earnings alone, breaking Tiger Wood’s record of $21 million in 2007. Out of the $22 million, Spieth pulled in $10 million from the FedEx Cup bonus, which surpassed Tiger Woods’ winnings by a hair over $1 million.
To reward himself, Spieth bought his own place. It’s a house in the Preston Hollow neighborhood of Dallas that cost Spieth $2.3 million. The 7,400 square foot mansion features five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, and a 288-bottle wine closet. He’s got a lot to celebrate for.
Coming out of a record-breaking year, Spieth isn’t taking it easy. In the 2016 season, he’s made $4 million already and ranked third on the PGA Tour Money List.
Over the course his four-year career, Spieth has an accumulated earning of $34 million. And he just turned 23.
On top of that, his multi-million dollar endorsement deals with big names such as Under Armour, Titleist, AT&T, Rolex, Super Strokes, Perfect Sense and Net Jets are not to be overlooked. He even starred in an AT&T commercial which aired during the Masters 2016 which also featured his parents, his caddie Michael Greller, and Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
With all of the cash rolling in, Spieth decided it was high time for a home upgrade. In 2016, just a year after he bought his first house, Spieth purchased another mansion for $7.1 million in the same area. The home, which was previously owned by fellow golfer Hunter Mahan, features a 12-car garage, an Infinity pool, and an elevator. Sitting on an expansive 1.8-acre lot, Spieth can practice on his 12 by 16 Golf Simulator, while gazing out at the moors.
