Last week’s episode of Vice Principals featured Neal Gamby (Danny McBride) and Lee Russell (Walton Goggins) picking up a much-needed victory over Dr. Belinda Brown (Kimberly Hebert Gregory). Gamby and Russell came up with a cunning scheme to pit Dr. Brown against the powerful Ms. LeBlanc (Robin Bartlett). Ms. LeBlanc is extremely well-liked by her students and the faculty, and she has strong ties to the teacher’s union. She is not someone who you want to tussle with, and Gamby and Russell used this knowledge to their advantage.

They duped Dr. Brown into thinking that Ms. LeBlanc stole 600 textbooks, when in reality, they stole the books and stashed them in a school bus parked at Russell’s house. They kept the books out of sight until returning them the night before Dr. Brown and Ms. LeBlanc’s big meeting with the school board. Right in the middle of Dr. Brown going ballistic on Ms. LeBlanc and calling her a thief, the school board got a phone call that the books were simply mislocated and Ms. LeBlanc was completely innocent. This made Dr. Brown look like a total fool, and she was promptly scolded for her behavior by the superintendent.

With Gamby and Russell’s plan working like a charm, Gamby turned his focus to impressing his daughter with his motocross skills. Gamby’s crush, Amanda Snodgrass (Georgia King), was scorned by history teacher Bill Hayden (Mike O’Gorman) for a younger woman, so she decided to teach Gamby how to do a wheelie. Gamby ended up choking in front of everyone and busting his ass, mortifying his daughter in the process. On the ride back to school, Amanda comforted a dejected Gamby by holding his hand.

The episode ended with Dr. Brown catching Russell spitting in her coffee. We’ll have to tune in this week to see if Dr. Brown is finally able to realize that Russell cannot be trusted and is relentlessly trying to sabotage her career.

Fresh off three gold medals in Rio to add to his collection, the fastest man in world history has been enjoying his victory lap with the company of bountiful beautiful women. Partying in London, at least six women made a Brexit from the nightclubs to Bolt’s hotel room at 5 a.m. this morning.

While no one can blame Bolt for basking in the afterglow of his Olympic greatness, the awkward reality is that Bolt has a girlfriend. Look ordinarily cheating shouldn’t be condoned, but Bolt’s relationship with his girlfriend is none of out business. The guy is on top of the world right now, and his girlfriend can only hope that this reign of terror will get freaking off out of his system.

Did George W. Bush do Harambe? The full truth may never be known, but the sentiment has certainly spread like wildfire around the internet.

And today, as PGA golfer Ryan Moore took his second shot on the first hole today at The Barclays at the Bethpage Black course on Long Island, a spectator obtrusively declared “Harambe was an inside job!”

Whereas the infamous shot at the gorilla hit its target, Moore’s attempt at an eagle was just off the mark.

Tony Romo has suffered another serious injury, and the brittle 36-year-old quarterback may be out 6-10 weeks, according to ESPN’s sources. Romo fractured a vertebrae after taking a hit on the third play of his Dallas Cowboys’ preseason matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.

Romo’s latest injury won’t require surgery, and Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett wouldn’t acknowledge a timetable for the return, saying it’s possible he’ll play week one against the Giants. That seems like a case of wishful thinking though.

Unfortunately I have a friend who is a Cowboys fan, and he has been raving about fourth-round QB Dak Prescott. But asking the Mississippi State product to fill Romo’s shoes in week 1 against Big Blue is a tall order that I hope he isn’t up for.

As a Giants fan, I take great pleasure in Tony Romo’s propensity for failure. But even I hate to see Romo suffer another injury after missing 12 games last season.

Take a look at the security cam footage from the convenience store that shows this wannabe Patrick Roy and his compadre stealing three cases of Budweiser.

Canadian police were unable to identify the perpetrators, but the police report indicates that they have their best detectives investigating.

“He may have been a defenseman or forward in disguise as he was wearing jersey #17 — a non-traditional number for goalies,” it said (via the CBC).

That the duo chose to steal a beer renamed “America” shows that these two- like all Canadians- deep down wish they were from the home of the land of the free & home of the brave instead of America Junior.

The 136th edition of the US Open is set to take place from Monday, August 29 through Sunday, September 11 on the hardcourts of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York City, New York. The US Open will be the fourth and final Grand Slam event of 2016, and it is always one of the highlights of the tennis season.

The tournament features senior, junior, and wheelchair competitions, but the main attractions are men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. The draw for the US Open was comprised of 128 players each for men’s and women’s singles, 64 pairs each for men’s and women’s doubles, and 32 pairs for mixed doubles.

The 2016-17 La Liga season kicked off last week, and continues today with Primera Division action! Reigning champion Barcelona will be taking on Real Betis in their opening match of the season. Barcelona finished in first place last season, while Athletic Bilbao finished 29 points behind in 5th place. In their last 10 visits to San Mamés, Atlethic Bilbao’s stadium, the Catalans only failed to bring points back once, and more often than not have earned all 3 points. Barcelona’s one and only loss was on the first ever appearance at the new San Mamés during the 2013-14 season, when the Athletic Biblao Lions came out with 1-0 win.

The Primera Division is the top section of La Liga, the Spanish soccer league.  Barcelona were the champions last year, edging out second place Real Madrid by just one point. You can bet that Messi and company will be keeping that in mind throughout the season, making sure they don’t take their foot off the pedal.

Week 3 of the EPL season is in the books, and the new high-profile managers at Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have those clubs tearing through the league. Next week is the first international break of the season, so savor this batch of fantastic goals.

5.) Mesut Özil- Arsenal

Özil makes the list with this beauty. The German midfielder made a furious run from out of nowhere, and Alexis Sanchez showed great patience and vision to find him and then delivered a perfect cross to set up Arsenal’s third goal in their 3-1 win over Watford.

4.) Willian- Chelsea

What a finish this was! When Willian made a move to the outside, it seemed like he had lost his angle at goal but then he finished brilliantly low into the far post. This was the second goal in Chelsea’s 3-0 romp versus Burnley, and somehow the other two were even better.

3.) Victor Moses- Chelsea

The buildup to Chelsea’s third goal was picture-perfect and Victor Moses gave it the emphatic finish it deserved. Chelsea have won their first three matches, and look like a contender again under new manager Antonio Conte.

2.) Eden Hazard- Chelsea

Yup, another Chelsea goal. The reinvigorated Hazard is a promising sign for Chelsea fans, and he showed why he was the 2014-2015 Premier League Player of the Season. A tremendous individual effort.

1.) Alexis Sanchez- Arsenal

What a match for Sanchez. Not only did he set up Özil with that pinpoint cross, but he beats out the Chelsea goal triumvirate to earn the top spot on this list. This finish is just ridiculous.

One Ithaca College student was killed and another was injured after being stabbed amidst a “large fight” on neighboring Cornell University’s campus. Both schools are located in the town of Ithaca, New York.

CNN reports that:

Cornell University Police were called to the intersection in front of Olin Hall, which houses Cornell’s school of chemical and biomolecular engineering, just before 2 a.m. There, they found two men had been stabbed, according to a police news release.

One of the victims died at Cayuga Medical Cente , according to Ithaca College President Tom Rochon.

The student who survived was sent to Upstate Medical Center, a regional trauma center, to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. That victim was released after receiving treatment, according to the Ithaca Police Department.

Police and Rochon said they were withholding the students’ identities until after their families are alerted.

Police are currently investigating, and so far no suspect has been publicly identified.

The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will be held on tonight August 28, 2016 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Adele’s “Hello” is the most nominated video with seven categories. Beyoncé led the nominations with a total of eleven, followed by Adele, who had eight. Rihanna is set to receive the Vanguard Award. Britney Spears is slated to perform at the show, marking her first performance on the VMA stage since her widely publicized performance at the 2007 show nine years prior.

The MTV Video Music Awards is an annual awards show presented by the cable channel MTV to honor the best in the music video medium. Originally conceived as an alternative to the Grammy Awards, the annual MTV VMA’s ceremony has often been called the “Super Bowl for youth”, an acknowledgment of the VMA ceremony’s ability to draw millions of youth from teens to 20-somethings each year. By 2001, the VMA’s had become a coveted award.The statue given to winners is an astronaut on the moon, one of the earliest representations of MTV. The award is commonly referred to as a “moonman”.

The annual VMA ceremony occurs before the end of summer and held either in late August or mid-September, and broadcast live on MTV, along with simulcasts on MTV’s sister networks to nullify in-house competition. The first VMA ceremony was held in 1984 at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. The ceremonies are normally held in either New York City or Los Angeles.

Last year it was Leicester City who completed the fairy tale by outlasting everyone else to win the Premier League. That forced England’s biggest clubs to bring in heralded managers and prized players to try to reclaim their past glory. And so far so good for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United’s, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Antonio Conte’s Chelsea. Fear The Walking Dead continues it’s second season. Season 2, episode 9, is titled “Los Muertos.” Fear the Walking Dead (FTWD) is an American post-apocalyptic horror drama television series created by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. FTWD premiered on AMC on August 23, 2015, and is the companion series and prequel to The Walking Dead, which is based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard.

The first season, consisting of six episodes, aired in 2015. Its second season, of 15 episodes, premiered on April 10, 2016. The series is initially set in Los Angeles, California. FTWD follows a dysfunctional family composed of high school guidance counselor Madison Clark, her English teacher boyfriend Travis Manawa, her daughter Alicia, her drug-addicted son Nick, and Travis’ son from a previous marriage, Chris, at the onset of the zombie apocalypse. They must revamp themselves to survive, as they come to terms with the impending collapse of civilization.

Ballers is HBO’s most successful comedy in a decade. Not since Entourage has HBO aired a comedy this popular. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, though, because the Rock is one of the most successful actors in Hollywood. Ballers is essentially a sports version of Entourage starring The Rock, so it’s success was virtually built in. The second season premiered on July 17 and is made up of 10, 30-minute episodes. It is currently on its 6th of 10 episodes for season 2.

According to the Ballers website, Ballers is the story of Spencer Strasmore, a retired NFL star, as he tries to find the same success as a financial manager for current players in sun-splashed Miami. Heeding his boss Joe’s instruction to “monetize his friendships,” Spencer builds a client base of young phenoms and veteran stars alike, but his role in their lives far exceeds money management as he struggles to help them navigate the many traps that come with life as big-time “ballers.”

The 2016 US Open is set to run from August 29-September 11 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York City, New York. This is the 136th edition of the US Open, and it will be the fourth and final Grand Slam event of the year. The tournament will feature men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
