Funny Faces Of Olympics 2016

While all Olympic sports are intense and display wonderful feats of athleticism, some are unintentionally funny. For example, one of those unintentionally funny Olympic sports is diving. Due to the amount of torque the divers must produce, the exertion of force causes the competitors to make some ridiculous faces. No matter what country they represent, or what medal they receive, the result of competitive diving is always the same: the divers are guaranteed to make some downright laughable faces. Luckily for us, there are a lot of sports that produce the same comical results as diving.

While these sports may not be the most popular of the Olympic sports, they are definitely some of the funniest to watch! These are some of the only sports that may be more enjoyable to watch in slow-motion.

Check out all of the funniest face photos below!

We Really Wish Canadian Soccer Player Shelina Zadorsky Was Representing The Red, White, And Blue

Shelina Ladorsky

Shelina Laura Zadorsky, born in 1992, is by far one of the cutest Olympians we’ve seen during the 2016 Olympic Games. Zadorsky is a Canadian soccer player, who plays professionally in the United States for Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League, as well as Canada women’s national soccer team. Zadorsky is primarily a defensive player. She previously played for Australian W-League club Perth Glory and Swedish top-division club Vittsjö GIK. Zadorsky, who was born in Ontario, graduated from the University of Michigan in 2014 with a degree in Psychology. She enjoys travelling, shopping, watching movies, cafes, music, coaching, spending time with family

According to her official biography:

Shelina Zadorsky started with the Canadian program in 2007 and won a bronze medal at the CONCACAF U-17 Championship in 2008 where she scored two goals. With the U-20 team, she won a CONCACAF Championship silver medal in 2012 and was captain of the FIFA U-20 World Cup team. Zadorsky made her senior debut in 2013 against South Korea at a tournament in China. She tied as Canada’s leading scorer at the 2015 Pan Am Games with two goals. Zadorsky was part of Canada’s second place finish at the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifier, helping the team earn a spot in Rio. She was also a member of the squad that won the 2016 Algarve Cup. She played collegiately for the Michigan Wolverines and was a two-time All-Big Ten First Team in 2012 and 2013 as well as a three-time Academic All-Big Ten (2011-13). Zadorsky was the captain in her senior year and anchored the defense that conceded a program record of just 12 goals in 23 games. She also had her best year offensively with one goal and 11 assists. She finished her NCAA career with three goals and 15 assists in 81 games played. After graduation she played professionally for the Perth Glory in Australia and is currently playing for Vittsjo GIK in the Swedish first division.

She is by far one of the hottest Olympic athletes in Rio, so because of that, we sure hope Canada’s Women’s soccer team makes it all the way to the finals, so we can see as much of Shelina Zadorsky as possible!

Spain takes on host nation Brazil today in men’s basketball at 1:15 PM EST. The game should prove to be exciting, considering that the stadium will be going wild for the Brazilians. Who knows, maybe the crowd could play a pivotal role in the outcome of the game.

If that doesn’t happen, then expect Spain to come out firing. Disappointed after a last-second loss to Croatia this weekend, Pau and friends need to put up some big numbers against their opponents in case of a tie-breaker.

In their last game, the Brazilians allowed themselves to get down 30 points against Lithuania before they came back to within four points in the 4th quarter. Obviously they won’t be able to come back today against Spain if they get down 30, but who knows how well Nene, Leandro Barbosa, and Huertas will play in an attempt to get a win for their home fans. Injuries have really plagued the Brazilian team, keeping the likes of Thiago Splitter and Anderson Verejao off the squad. They could certainly use some of that height against Spain’s Pau Gasol and Willie Hernangomez.

Olympians on Tinder

By the time all of the Rio Summer Olympics are done, the Olympians will probably have gone through all of the 450,000 condoms that were provided to them. Hell, reportedly during the 2012 London Summer Olympics, an extra couple thousand condoms had to be emergency air dropped since the athletes had all run out.*

But with so little time and so many partners to be had, it stands to reason that the Olympians can’t be bothered with actually meeting each other in the real world. That’s why more and more Olympians are turning to the dating app Tinder. And thanks to the Instagram account @SportsSwipe (and offshoot @TinderRio) we actually know which athletes have been spotted using the dating app–including Rickie Fowler, Simone Manuel, and a ton of other foreign athletes.

Not only have these helpful Instagram accounts identified the athletes looking to score some nookie, they’ve also gone ahead and pulled their profile pictures and profiles. Take a look at some of the most swipeable athletes below.

*I swear I read that on the internet somewhere. It was written by some guy.

Katinka Hosszú is a 27-year-old Olympic swimmer from Hungary. She is nicknamed the Iron Lady, and if that’s not intimidating enough, her husband/coach Shane Tusup goes absolutely crazy during her races.

The fourth time has been the charm for Katinka when it comes to swimming at the Olympics. After failing to medal at the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Games, she has been crushing the competition at Rio. She’s swam in two finals so far at the 2016 Olympics, and she’s already won two gold medals.

On Saturday, August 6, Katinka won gold in the 400 meter individual medley, shattering the world record by nearly two seconds. Her insane time of 4:26.36 was nearly five seconds ahead of second place finisher Maya DiRado of the USA. Katinka followed that unreal performance with another gold on Monday, August 8, edging out USA’s Kathleen Baker by three-tenths of a second in the 100 meter backstroke.

Katinka’s next finals will be in the 200 meter individual medley on Tuesday, August 9 at 10:29 p.m. on NBC. Get prepared for the big race by taking a look at 22 of Katinka’s hottest photos.

Yarimar Rosa hot photos

Yarimar Rosa is a 28-year-old volleyball player that is representing Puerto Rico at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Rosa is a 5’10” outside hitter, and she wears number six for Puerto Rico. She’s been on the national team since 2003 and is playing in her first Olympic Games.

As a matter of fact, this is Puerto Rico’s first-ever Olympic appearance in women’s indoor volleyball. They punched their ticket to Rio by winning the 2nd World Qualifier in May of 2016. Over the three-day tournament, they defeated Algeria, Colombia, and Kenya all by 3-0 margins in front of a raucous home crowd at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Unfortunately for Rosa and the rest of her teammates, they haven’t had much success in Rio so far. Puerto Rico was placed in Pool B, and they are currently tied for last with Italy. They are 0-2, having been swept 3-0 by the U.S. and Serbia in their first two games. They’ll look to rebound against China on Wednesday, August 10.

But who cares about wins and losses when you look like Yarimar Rosa? You can check out 22 of her hottest photos in the gallery below. Muy caliente, indeed.

Hard Knocks is a reality sports documentary TV show produced by a partnership between NFL Films and HBO. The show’s first season, which followed the Baltimore Ravens, premiered in 2001. Each season, Hard Knocks follows an NFL team through its training camp and covers the team’s preparation for the upcoming football season. The NFL and HBO have called Hard Knocks “the first sports-based reality series” in television history.

The series showcases the lives of the players, coaches and staff, including their family life, position battles, and even inside jokes and pranks. It particularly focuses on rookies’ adjustments to playing in the NFL, usually with the most emphasis on the team’s most recent top draft pick. The show also usually chooses to focus on undrafted and journeyman players who are attempting to make the team.

A film crew of 30 is on-site at the training camp and set, which launched in 2001 following the Baltimore Ravens, and since has won 14 Sports Emmys. On March 23, 2016, it was announced the Los Angeles Rams will be the team featured for the 2016 season premiering on August 9, 2016.

Vilmarie Mojica is a 30-year-old Olympic volleyball player representing Puerto Rico at the 2016 Summer Olympics. The 5’10” setter is one of the team’s best players, and she’s lead them to several medals over her career.

Puerto Rico won bronze at the Pan-American Cup in 2009, two silvers (2010 and 2014) and a bronze (2006) at Central American and Caribbean Games, and a silver at the NORCECA Championship in 2009. She’s also won several individual awards, including being named “Best Setter” at the 2007 and 2009 NORCECA Championships and the 2009 Pan-American Cup.

Vilmarie made her Olympic debut in 2016, and it hasn’t been going very well for her and her teammates so far. They were placed in Pool B, and they are currently tied for last place with Italy. Puerto Rico is 0-2 after getting swept 3-0 twice by the U.S. and Serbia. They’ll begin their quest to try to turn things around in a matchup with China on Wednesday, August 10.

WATCH: Did Donald Trump Just Suggest People Shoot Hillary Clinton?

Donald Trump says a lot of things that politicians wouldn’t ever say, which is actually exactly why he’s the current GOP Presidential Nominee. People seem to like a guy who tells it like it is. But just like the old phrase, “live by the sword, die by the sword” says, sometimes your greatest weapon becomes your greatest weakness. And lately, Donald Trump has been digging himself into a really deep hole.

Like, for example, today when he was speaking in Wilmington, NC, specifically about what would happen if Hillary Clinton were to be voted president, giving her the power to nominate members of the Supreme Court.

“By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.”

Honestly, I’m not going to go out there and say that Trump is even mentioning that 2nd Amendment people (100% his followers if they’re voting strictly on gun control) could go out there and shoot Hillary.

But I don’t have to.

For a guy like Trump, who’s already been accused of inciting violence multiple times, he shouldn’t even think about saying anything that comes close to suggesting assassination should he lose the election.

This cannot be the kind of speech that Trump’s camp wants from their guy right now.

This Writer’s Hometown Golf Course Got Busted Hosting A Charity Event Full Of Strippers

For the second time in less than a week, I am bringing you an utterly ridiculous story that took place in none other than Wayne, New Jersey. This massive New Jersey suburb just so happens to be my hometown. I mean, it is literally town I grew up in. As I said in my previous Wayne-related post, I lost my virginity in this town! F*ck,  I essentially learned to golf at this exact course! I have shotgunned many-a-beer at this golf course. I didn’t know there were strippers, though! If I did, you can bet your ass I would have played a couple more rounds this summer.

But unfortunately I will not have a chance to play golf with a bunch of strippers because NBC New York had to ruin all the fun:

“The event in late July, sponsored by the Sunrise Gentlemen’s Club of Paterson, New Jersey, advertised a day of golf and girls for $195 per person. Police officers and firefighters were offered a discount.

Sunrise is familiar to authorities in Passaic County since it was closed temporarily last year after a prostitution bust.

The outing was billed as a charity golf outing with donations going to a range of causes, including the Dallas Police Department and unspecified support for those recovering from the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando.”

Surprisingly, however, no laws were broken during the event. Somehow.

Now, while I have you here, check out some facts about my dope ass hometown, Wayne, New Jersey:

  • Panthers tight end Greg Olsen went to high school there.
  • Queen Latifah’s mom lived there once.
  • The Toys ‘R’ Us headquarters is there.
  • Remember the song Stacy’s Mom? Of course the f*ck you do, don’t lie to me. That band, Fountains of Wayne, took their name from a lawn ornament store there.
  • Hanz and Franz from Saturday Night Livonce opened a (fictional) gym here.
  • Our zip code is 07470, which is so sweet that it was once mentioned in an episode of Full House.
  • Ya know The Preakness Stakes, one of the three Triple Crown races. Yupp, named after an OG stable in Wayne.
  • We allegedly have the most malls-per-square-mile than anywhere else in the world.
  • A couple of scenes of The Sopranos was shot here. One at a sushi joint just up the road from my house.
  • And most importantly: George Washington, G-DUB, The Chosen One, The OG Brexit, The Founding Father and the first President of these god damn United States, resided in Dey Mansion during the American Revolutionary War (before the area was called Wayne, but that’s obvious, because we weren’t even free from Britain yet. No one gave a sh*t what any of the towns were called.) America.

These Are The Best No Man’s Sky Planet Names So Far

No Man’s Sky is one of the biggest and most unique video games ever released. No Man’s Skys gameplay is built on four pillars—exploration, survival, combat and trading—in which players are free to perform within the entirety of a procedurally generated deterministic open universe, which includes over 18 quintillion (1.8×1019) planets. For reference, the Milky Way has 100 billion planets No Man’s Sky is such a massive game that you can spend literally spend your entire life exploring the game. In fact, GameRant suggests that the game could take up to 5 billion years to fully explore.

best no mans sky planets

According to the official website:

Whether it’s a distant mountain or a planet hanging low on the horizon, you can go there. You can fly seamlessly from the surface of one planet to another, and every star in the sky is a sun that you can visit. You can explore uncharted solar systems and catalogue unique new forms of life.  Every solar system, planet, ocean and cave is filled with danger, and you are vulnerable. Your ship and suit are fragile, and every encounter can test your skills to the limit. From dogfighting in space to first person combat on a planet’s surface, you will face foes ready to overwhelm you.

Every single planet’s landscape is different from the next, and is populated by species never before encountered. You can find ancient artefacts that could reveal the secrets behind the universe. You can choose whether to share your discoveries with other players. They’re exploring the same vast universe in parallel; perhaps you’ll make your mark on their worlds as well as your own.

As the game continues to grow, so will the list of ridiculous planet names. But so far, these are the funniest No Man’s Sky planet names we can find so far!

Brooke Sweat and Lauren Fendrick are one of two beach volleyball teams that are representing the USA at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Both Brooke and Lauren are making their first Olympic appearances, but the pair has been playing together since 2014.

Brooke is 5’8″, and she hails from Estero, Florida. The 30-year-old graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2008 with a degree in resort and hospitality management, and she was named the AVP’s Best Defensive Player in both 2013 and 2014.

Lauren is 6’1″, and she is from Carlsbad, California. The 34-year-old graduated from UCLA in 2003 with a degree in communications studies, and she would later get her law degree from USC in 2010. Lauren was named the AVP’s Best Blocker in 2014.

As a team, Brooke and Lauren’s most notable finish was coming in fifth at the 2015 Beach World Championships. The duo punched their ticket to Rio by being 15th in the 2016 Olympic rankings. Unfortunately, the pair has struggled so far at the 2016 Games, losing their first two matches in Pool A. They lost 2-1 to Monika Brzostek and Kinga Kołosińska of Poland and 2-0 to Talita Antunes and Larissa França of Brazil.

They will look to turn things around against Ekaterina Birlova and Evgenia Ukolova of Russia on Thursday, August 11 at 2:30 p.m. In the meantime, let’s take a look at some of the hottest photos of Brooke and Lauren.
