Kristen Shaldybin: Hottest Photos Of The U.S. Olympic Rhythmic Gymnast

Kristen Shaldybin is an 18-year-old U.S. Olympic group rhythmic gymnast. She is from Brooklyn, New York, and she and the rest of her team dominated at the 2015 Pan American Games. They won gold in the 6 clubs + 2 hoops, silver in the all-around, and silver in the 5 ribbons.

Now, Shaldybin will turn her attention to the biggest stage of them all, as her five-woman squad was able to qualify for the 2016 Olympics. This will be her first Olympic appearance, and she will have a chance to make some real history. The United States have never medaled in rhythmic gymnastics, and this is only the second time they’ve even qualified for the Games. The first time was in 1996, but that was an automatic bid because they were the host nation.

Hopefully, Kristen Shaldybin will shock the world and bring home some Olympic hardware. I can only imagine the dynamite selfies she would cook up with an Olympic medal hanging around her neck.

Watching Movies Because “They’re So Bad, They’re Good” Has Been Linked To High Intelligence

Adam Sandler Movie

Are you one of those people that sometimes just loves a bad, no-good, sh*t movie? And I’m not talking bad like how Suicide Squad is supposedly “bad,” but Halle Berry Catwoman bad. I’m talkin’ The Master of Disguise bad. I’m talkin’ Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 levels of suckery. You guys know what I’m talking about, when you and your buddies are hungover, you’ll plop your ass on the couch, maybe roll up a bit of the devil’s lettuce, kick back and just watch a godforsaken flick. Well, guess what bad-movie brethren? Apparently, an adoration of these crapfests has been linked to higher intelligence.

According to The Independent, academics have delved into this phenomenon, with the journal Poetics this week publishing a study entitled: ‘Enjoying trash films: Underlying features, viewing stances, and experiential response dimensions.’ Keyvan Sarkhosh, a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics, writes:

“At first glance it seems paradoxical that someone should deliberately watch badly made, embarrassing and sometimes even disturbing films, and take pleasure in them.”

The team started by trying to ascertain exactly what makes a film ‘trash’, with the most common characteristic respondents cited being their “cheapness.” Low budget horror films were the most common example. Here’s what they found about people who intentionally watch these movies:

Ironic viewing is obviously what is at play here, and the researchers found it is mostly film buffs who watch trash films, which would make sense, as very often their enjoyment comes down to analyses of production values, dialogue and plot structure.

“To such viewers, trash films appear as an interesting and welcome deviation from the mainstream fare,” says Keyvan Sarkhosh, postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics. “We are dealing here with an audience with above-average education, which one could describe as ‘cultural omnivores’. Such viewers are interested in a broad spectrum of art and media across the traditional boundaries of high and popular culture.” He went on to explain that their engagement in film culture is demonstrated by their discussion of these films in blogs and forums.

So there ya have it folks: enjoyment of bad movies = Einstein levels of intelligence (not quite).

I have a handful of personal favorite “it’s so bad, it’s good” movies: ya got Constantine starring the one and only Keanu Reeves, and the video-game based movie Doom, starring future President of the United States, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Then, of course, are the two Joel Schumacher Batman films: Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. If you find yourself craving a sh*t movie, I’d suggest you start with one of these.

Florida Story Of The Week: FBI Fugitive Lived In Florida For 40 Years Running A Wallpaper Store

Ahhhh, Florida. I know I bust your balls, but I love ya. I really do. Consistently, I will find about one or two Florida-based stories a week that genuinely make me smile. There’s just something about the state that perpetuates ridiculous. Florida is so damn ridiculous, I affectionately refer to it as the “Russia of the United States.” So what happened this week in our nation’s greatest state? Oh, nothing major, just the discovery of a FBI fugitive who’s been living there since the late 70s.

According to Daily Mail, Fugitive William Claybourne Taylor had been living under assumed name James Manion when he was arrested by FBI last Thursday. Taylor lived in Reidsville with his wife, Sheryl, where they lived a quiet life and ran a wallpaper store.

“A man on the run for 40 years after a deadly attack in Florida evaded capture in a mundane manner, according to authorities and friends. He got married, settled in the quiet town of Reidsville, North Carolina, and ran a wallpaper store in Greensboro. People said the man they knew as James Emmet Manion and his wife were cordial but quiet, blending into the community of about 14,000 near the Virginia border. He made sure his dog Prancer received regular haircuts, voted Republican in several elections and was seen working in his tree-shaded yard.
‘I couldn’t say enough nice things about both of them. There was never an inkling of anything amiss,’ said Preston Trigg, who grew up in Reidsville and kept in touch with the couple after he helped sell them his mother’s house in 2002.

Well, turns out Mr. Trigg is a horrible judge of character, because as it turns out, his boy James Manion is actually William Taylor, and he’s a straight up murder. Uh, whoops.

“The fugitive — whose real name is William Claybourne Taylor — was the triggerman in an attempt to assassinate the then-mayor of the city of Williston, Eugene Bailey, authorities said. The mayor was wounded but another government official, former Immigration and Naturalization official Walter Scott, died in the attack. Taylor is scheduled to have a court hearing in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Thursday – a week after his capture.  He disappeared in 1980 after posting $20,000 bail following his arrest and after he was indicted on charges of murder and aggravated battery, authorities said. The 1977 shooting failed to kill Bailey, despite the fact that he was shot three times at point blank range by alleged gunman Taylor after the car he was a passenger in drove of the side of the road and crashed into some trees.

It took local authorities three years to arrest Taylor, his older brother Ray and another man for their involvement in the botched hit job. The trio had been hoping to cash in by representing Bailey’s family in the wake of his death, with struggling lawyer Ray planning to serve as executor of the deceased man’s $2.5million estate. Ray, who in years after the plot had risen in the legal ranks to become a successful Tennessee prosecutor, was convicted in 1980 as the mastermind behind the plot. He appealed that conviction however over the next decade and in 1990 agreed to plead guilty to a charge of second-degree murder, receiving a 25-year-sentence that included time served for the decade he had already spent behind bars prior to his conviction. Ray has since completed his sentence and is a free man. The third man involved in the shooting, Paul Allen, was the driver of the car, and avoided prison completely after he agreed to testify against Ray during his murder trial.”

Oh, Florida. America just wouldn’t be the same without ya.

What time is the Olympics Opening Ceremony start

Buda Mendes/Getty Images

The 2016 Summer Olympics will kick off on Friday, August 5 with the always entertaining opening ceremony. The ceremony will include welcoming speeches, flags being hoisted, the Parade of Nations, and a spectacle to celebrate Brazil’s culture. During the Parade of Nations, all 206 competing nations will be represented by a flag bearer. In a total no-brainer, Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all-time, will handle the honors for the USA.

Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen will be participating in the opening ceremony, which I’m sure will lead to a bunch of super creative jokes about deflated balls. It’s also been rumored that Brazilian soccer legend Pelé is going to light the cauldron. That would be an incredible moment, but Muhammad Ali will always and forever be the GOAT when it comes to cauldron lighting. Goosebump City.

Despite Rio only being an hour ahead of the Eastern Time Zone, NBC is broadcasting the opening ceremony on a one-hour tape delay on the east coast and a four-hour tape delay on the west coast. That doesn’t make a lick of sense to me, but I guess that’s why I’m slaving away as a blogger and not calling the shots for a gigantic television network.

USA Track and Field Olympians Interview

Just one week before the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, KT Tape (that awesome looking tape you see athletes wearing on their muscles) invited us to check out the USATF Olympics training camp in Prairie View, Texas, where many of the top Team USA Olympian track and field athletes were training. We got to meet some of the world’s top athletes like Justin Gatlin, Jenna Prandini, Michael Tinsley, Jarrion Lawson, Nia Ali, Michael Rodgers, Tianna Bartoletta, and English Gardner, and we used that time to ask them what it was about America that they loved so much.

To their credit, the answers they gave weren’t so much surprising as they were inspiring. Although we’ve talked a lot about the negatives in the world (both here at home and in Rio), these elite athletes have been training tirelessly to help lift up the red, white and blue. They all pretty much had the same message: here in the USA, you can be anything you want to be–regardless of where you came from. And that freedom isn’t something that we should take for granted, but something that should be celebrated.

Take a look at the clip below, and tell me that it doesn’t make you feel a sense of pride in these athletes and the USA.

A very special thanks to KT Tape and USATF for giving us unprecedented access to the 2016 USATF Olympic training camp to watch these athletes train. In addition to many of the professional athletes you see on TV, KT Tape sponsors 14 Olympians at this year’s Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, including Kerri Walsh Jennings (beach volleyball) and Megan Rapinoe (women’s soccer) and are the official athletic tape of USA Track and Field. They develop and sell a variety of pain relief solutions and support for common sports-related injuries.

Not only does KT Tape make you look pretty legit, it can help relieve pain where weekend warriors and professional athletes need it most. Plus, it can stay on for multiple days–lasting even through the showers you need to take.

Olympic Village Staircase Flooding

So at this point, you know that the Rio Olympic Village is a sh*tshow. But that doesn’t mean you get some sort of strange satisfaction from watching it consistently fail its athletes, right? With that kind of sadistic mindset, let’s take a look at Czech Republic cyclist Zdenek Stybar and what he discovered in the staircase of his apartment… A shower!

Well, not so much a shower as it is serious flooding, which will cause water damage, which in turn will probably ruin the structural integrity of that staircase. But whatever! Go Olympics!

Girl Breaks Up With Boyfriend Just Before Her Family Wins Massive Chunk of Cash In Lottery

Courtney Davies

When Courtney Davies broke up with 21-year-old Dan White via text message, Dan was gutted. The two had spent two years in a relationship, and although we can’t comment on the details of that relationship, we can all agree that two years is a solid amount of time to be dating someone, right?

So breaking it off via text message would be a pretty messed up way to end that relationship. Sadly, that’s exactly what Courtney did.

But probably the biggest insult to injury happened when Courtney’s mother, Sophie, won £61 million (just short of $80 million) in the UK’s National Lottery. Truthfully we couldn’t be happier for Sophie and her family. Her husband (Courtney’s father) died earlier this year, and Sophie herself just beat breast cancer. In fact, going cancer-free was the reason that Sophie Davies decided to buy the lottery ticket in the first place.

So where’s the insult to injury? It’s in the fact that Dan lives next door to Courtney’s sister and live-in boyfriend, and that the boyfriend received an equal £12 million ($15 million).

Now Dan will see next door neighbours Stephanie and Steve Powell, 30, living it up in luxury which he could have shared if he stayed with her sister.

Dan said: “All my mates are savaging me about this – the first I knew of their win was my phone going nuts [source].

Honestly Dan, there’s nothing you can do about this. Just let all the attractive women at your school know that you’re good luck, and bask in the fact that multiple hotties will sleep with you and then leave you a la Good Luck Chuck.

Swim15: How To Join USA Olympians In The Fight Against Cancer

Swim15

Olympians Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Nathan Adrian, and Amanda Weir are all swimming for the United States down in Rio right now. But they’re not just members of Team USA, they’re also teammates in the fight against cancer.

Phelps, Lochte, and more than 100 other Olympians are all a part of Swim Across America (SAA), an amazing organization dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research. Since 1987, SAA has granted more than $65M to fund early stage cancer research. They’ve raised this money through open water and pool swimming events, a practice similar to how some marathons or walks raise money. Currently, Swim Across America funds nine SAA-named labs at Baylor, UCSF, Johns Hopkins, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Children’s Hospital Oakland, Moffit Cancer Center, Rush University Medical Center, Memorial Sloan-Kettering, and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

You might not know this, but early stage cancer research, like that which SAA funds, is the single most important aspect of fighting cancer when it comes down to saving lives today. God forbid that anyone is ever diagnosed with the disease, but the earlier the cancer is caught, the more chance that person has of fighting and beating it. That’s why it’s nothing short of amazing that these Olympic swimmers are dedicating themselves to such a worthy cause, sacrificing time in their busy schedules to join in the important fight against cancer.

According to the National Cancer Institute, every 15 minutes 50 Americans are diagnosed with cancer. From the start of the opening ceremonies of 2016 Olympic Games to the closing ceremonies, an estimated 73,872 Americans will be diagnosed with cancer. These are startling numbers, yet funding for cancer research has actually declined in the past decade, according to the National Cancer Institute.

One of the first labs that SAA helped to finance is the Swim Across America lab at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) here in New York. As some of you may know, MSKCC has had some incredible success in regards to developing treatments for cancer, including the use of vaccines to stimulate the immune system into fighting cancer.

A few years ago, the FDA approved MSKCC Dr. Jedd Wolchok’s work that showed combining two antigens, nivolumab (Opdivo®) plus ipilimumab (Yervoy®), has effective results on patients with melanoma. In short, the combination of these two antigens causes the body’s own immune system to attack cancerous cells that were previously hiding behind cloaks, making visible that which was thought to be invisible from the body’s own defense system. This work has spawned a new era and direction of cancer research. Swim Across America is proud of the work of Dr. Wolchok, the SAA lab at MSKCC, and the other SAA labs across the country and will continue to fund research at the front of the battle against cancer.

If you watch any of the swimming events this year in Rio, you’ll no doubt hear from Rowdy Gaines, a former 1984 three time Olympic gold medalist and current NBC Olympic commentator. Gaines has been a huge supporter of Swim Across America for over 25 years. “As a result of the breakthroughs from Swim Across America grants, cancer patients who used to hear, ‘I’m sorry, your cancer is terminal,’ are now hearing, ‘There is hope.’” Gaines said.

But the great news is that you don’t have to be an Olympian or even a good swimmer to help take part in the fight against cancer. You can join your favorite athletes like Michael Phelps and Amanda Weir by simply giving 15 minutes of your time to an activity called Swim15. In support of those 15 people diagnosed with cancer every minute, SAA is asking for you to swim for 15 minutes, and ask 15 of your friends for a $15 donation.

Sadly, more than half of you reading this article know someone whose life has been affected by cancer. If you’d like to help do something about it, join Swim Across America and register for Swim15 on the official site here. They’ll help you set up your donation page and explain how you can help in the fight against cancer.

Saada Hassan rape accusation

Hassan Saada, an Olympic boxer representing Morocco, has been arrested on charges that he sexually assaulted two maids in the Olympic Village. He is currently being detained by Rio police while they investigate further.

Who is Hassan Saada?

Hassan Saada is a 22-year-old boxer competing in the 81 kilogram category. He was due to fight Mehmet Nedir of Turkey in the preliminary rounds on Saturday at 12:30 PM. Although he qualified for the Olympics, he was not predicted to be a medal contender.

What Happened?

The investigation is still ongoing, but according to Rio police, Saada was involved in two sexual assaults on Wednesday, August 3rd. The Sun reports that allegedly Saada asked one of the maids who came to his room to take a selfie photo with him. After the picture, he tried to corner and kiss her by force.

Shortly thereafter, the boxer reportedly touched another maid’s breasts and offered her money to give him a happy ending.

Police say that Saada will be jailed for a period of 15 days while they conduct a rape investigation. If he’s held for that long, Hassan won’t be competing in this year’s Olympics.

Janine Beckie is a 21-year-old forward for the Canadian Olympic soccer team. Despite playing for Canada, Janine was actually born and went to high school in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She lived in Saskatchewan, Canada for a few years when she was a child, and she is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States.

Janine went to Texas Tech University to play her college ball, and she left campus as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 57 career goals.  At the 2016 NWSL College Draft, Janine was selected eighth overall by the Houston Dash.

On the international circuit, Janine was named to Canada’s senior team in 2015. Since joining the squad, Janine has helped Canada finish fourth at the 2015 Pan American Games, second at the 2015 Cyprus Cup, and second at the 2016 CONCACAF Olympic Qualifier.

But Janine’s biggest impact on the global stage came on August 4, 2016. In Canada’s opening Olympic match against Australia, Janine made history by scoring just 20 seconds into the game. It was the fastest goal in Olympic history, and Canada would go on to win 2-0.

Am I the only one who has wondered what it would be like to get high with someone from the Baby Boomer generation? Remember now, the Baby Boomers were alive when Reefer Madness just came out, so the stigma surrounding the devil’s lettuce wasn’t quite the same as it is today. That’s evident from the get go, as one of the women say : “I’ve never tried cannabis before. When I was young, I thought only criminals used it.”

These ladies are so adorably Grandma-y about the whole thing too, as they nominated to be the group roller because she’s “good at embroidery and probably has clever hands.” Ummmm… what the hell is a clever hand?

Line of the video? “Well done, that was a really good lick.”

Way to go, Margo.

The 2016 Olympics are finally here, so let’s take a few minutes to admire some of the beautiful women that will be representing the USA in Rio. Between August 5th and August 21st, 206 nations will be competing in the 31st Summer Olympic Games. And of those 206 nations, it’s crystal clear to me who will be sending the most attractive women.

From April Ross breaking noses with killer spikes, to Allyson Felix smoking fools on the track, to Adeline Gray body-slamming foes into submission, to Lexi Weeks pole vaulting over the moon, we are absolutely loaded with talented ladies. Just thinking about the medals they are going to rack up in Rio has a single red, white, and blue tear streaming down my right cheek.

There’s nothing that gets the patriotism flowing quite like a badass group of women, poised to dominate all comers on the biggest sporting stage on the planet. So grab your favorite American lager, crank up the Seger, and enjoy this gallery of gorgeous Team USA athletes.

Irishman Hits For The Cycle Of Crime: Naked Dude Mows Into 5 Cars While Driving Drunk

mugshot via Wayne PD

Fun fact: this happened in my hometown. The town I group up in. The town I lost my virginity in. The only reason I found this story is because a couple of old said hometown friends shared the story on Facebook. BUT, the man isn’t from my hometown, he’s from the crappier, smaller neighboring town. So don’t judge us. You can judge them, though.

So here we are: a Pompton Lakes, New Jersey man was naked and drunk when his Jeep slammed into several cars in the Willowbrook Mall parking lot, Wayne police said.

A family member picked up 52-year-old Brian O’Malley from police headquarters after he was processed on charges of DWI, reckless driving and oeprating a motor vehicle with an open container of alcohol — a 16-ounce can of Coors Light — last Friday night, Capt. Laurence Martin said.

His 2002 Grand Jeep Cherokee struck five vehicles – three of which had to be towed, the captain said. This tied up are traffic for nearly 90 minutes, he said. After being clothed, he failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody, Martin said.

So yeah, like it says in the title, this is like the crime equivalent of hitting for a cycle: DWI, Open Container, Reckless Driving … and being buck naked. O’Malley, ye old Irish, I think it’s time to retire from the booze game, huh mate?

Now, since you’re here, check out some facts about dope ass Wayne, New Jersey:

  • Panthers tight end Greg Olsen went to high school there.
  • Queen Latifah’s mom lived there once.
  • The Toys ‘R’ Us headquarters is there.
  • Remember the song Stacy’s Mom? Of course the f*ck you do, don’t like to me. That band, Fountains of Wayne, took their name from a lawn ornament store there.
  • Hanz and Franz from Saturday Night Livonce opened a (fictional) gym here.
  • Our zip code is 07470, which is so sweet that it was once mentioned in an episode of Full House.
  • Ya know The Preakness Stakes, one of the three Triple Crown races. Yupp, named after an OG stable in Wayne.
  • We allegedly have the most malls-per-square-mile than anywhere else in the world.
  • A couple of scenes of The Sopranos was shot here. One at a sushi joint just up the road from my house.
  • And most importantly: George Washington,  G-DUB, The Chosen One, The OG Brexit, The Founding Father and the first President of these god damn United States, resided in Dey Mansion during the American Revolutionary War (before the area was called Wayne, but that’s obvious, because we weren’t even free from Britain yet. No one gave a sh*t what any of the towns were called.) America.

Had a busy week at work? Catching up on Stranger Things when you get home? Well, in case you haven’t heard, Republican Presidential candidate and exiled lizard person court jester Donald Trump had a tough week. Well, according to politic experts and public opinion he had a tough week. I personally feel like he spews this sh*t every week. I guess now that we’re gettin’ into the fourth quarter of this election America has decided that maybe they should start paying attention (barely).

So yeah, back to the misstep in human evolution that is our boy Trump. There was that whole ‘why can’t we use our nukes‘ thing. He got into that public beef with the Khans (who lost a son serving this country, by the way). He got that Purple Heart he always “wanted”. There was that Iran thing. Pretty sure he told the Russians to hack us (although that could be last week, it all blends in at this point). Oh, yeah, and he kicked a baby out of a rally.

But let Seth Myers (hilariously) explain further.

Carlos Slim Advocates 3-Day Work Week

It’s 4:30 on a Friday in August and you’re stuck in a cubicle. You’re counting down the seconds until you can get the hell out of there but the clock seems to being moving at half-speed. You’re done with your work and super bored so you check wonderful Coed.com for the latest in deliciously distracting news stories. And I am here to provide you with some hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Carlos Slim is a Mexican telecom mogul whose net worth of $77.1 billion makes him the second richest man in the world after Bill Gates, and he is a proponent of a three-day work week. In an interview with Bloomberg Businessweek Slim advocated for a three-day work week and a later retirement age as a way to counteract changes in civilization, including increased robotization.

In the interview Slim, who first starting promoting the 3-day work week in 2014, said that 40 percent of his employees that were offered the deal have taken him up on it.

I’m admittedly not an economist, but if a dude with a net worth in excess $77 billion says his employees should work less days then I’m certainly not going to argue with him.

So next time your boss tries to pull a Lumbergh from Office Space (see below) and tries to make you work on *gasp* Saturday, let him or her know that your boy Carlos Slim says you’re actually helping the company by working less days and not more.

Olympics Opening Ceremony, rio opening ceremony

Perhaps the biggest spectacle of the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics will be the Opening Ceremony, held at Maracana Stadium on Friday, August 5th at 8 PM EST. The Olympic Games ceremony–which will feature welcoming speeches, hoisting of flags, the iconic lighting of the Olympic Flame, and all 206 of the participating nations–will be an epic event broadcast on a one-hour tape delay by NBC and NBC Sports. Ironically enough, this is coming from what NBC is calling “the most live Olympics ever.” The Opening Ceremony will be hosted by NBC’s very own Matt Lauer, Meredith Viera, and Hoda Kotb.

Why the tape delay? We’ll let NBC executive Mark Lazarus explain the reasoning:

We think it’s important to give the context to the show. These Opening Ceremonies will be a celebration of Brazilian culture, of Rio, of the pageantry, of the excitement, of the flair that this beautiful nation has. We think it’s important that we’re able to put that in context for the viewer so that it’s not just a flash of color. So we will air that on a one-hour delay.

The Rio Summer Olympics have been a highly-publicized event for all the wrong reasons, but the IOC is hoping that once the games begin that the focus will shift to the competition, rather than the awful and considerably dangerous situation the athletes are in.

Unlike some of the previous opening ceremonies, Rio is quick to point out that their show will use a much lower budget than countries like London or China.

Antonio Abete, the man in charge of the opening ceremony, explains why they’re spending so much less. “It’s much less than London. It’s because in Brazil everyone knows what the situation is, economically and politically. It’s correct to invest money in the opening ceremony, but I think it’s also correct to invest the right money.” But he’s also quick to admit that you’re not going to want to miss the Rio Summer 2016 Olympic Opening Ceremony. Tons of rumors (including the use of drones and that you should expect Brazilian supermodel Giselle Bundchen to be robbed and assaulted during a short segment) have been swirling and Mr. Abete isn’t saying much.

Here’s a bit from the Daily Mail on that whole Giselle robbery thing:

According to guests [of a dress rehearsal earlier this week], during a section on the urbanisation of Brazil, spectators will hear a song describing Brazil’s high number of road accident victims.
Then, as Gisele, the world’s highest paid supermodel and one of Brazil’s most famous stars, struts down a catwalk to the sound of The Girl From Ipanema, she is held up by an actor and robbed, according to internet posts.
A chase then takes place around the 78,000-seater stadium as police officers race to catch the assailant before she shows that good will prevail, according to reports.

That preview is almost a little too unbelievable, but you can bet that we’ll be watching the Opening Ceremony anyways. You might be interested to know that the Opening Ceremony will actually take place at 7 PM EST, but NBC (who has the official broadcasting rights) will have the event on a one-hour tape delay, meaning that you won’t be able to watch the events until 8 PM EST.

Marshawn Lynch has no idea what Pokemon Go is

Marshawn Lynch is undoubtedly one of those memorable football players of the past few decsdes. From With gems like “I’m just ’bout that action, boss” and “I’m just here so I won’t get fined“, Marshawn has proved that you don’t have to say too much to become beloved as long as everything you do is straight baller.  Whether he was ramming the football down the defense’s throat or ramming skittles down his own, he always fully up to the ‘Beast Mode’ nickname.

The recently-retired Seahawks great has blessed us with some more gold. In the video below Kansas City Chiefs CB Marcus Peters tries to explain Pokémon Go to Marshawn, and Marshawn has no idea what that nonsense is. Marshawn Lynch has always been in his own world, so if there were any famous person who hadn’t heard of this annoying fad, it makes sense that it would be Beast Mode.

Then at the end of the video it is suggested to him that here be a Beast Mode themed “Peeky-man”. Please somebody make this a real thing.

Frank Ocean’s elusive second studio album Boys Don’t Cry’was supposed to drop today according to the New York Times. The album has been rumored to drop at various points since last summer, so when the news broke that the acclaimed Odd Future member was going to finally put it out today, people were stoked.

But as of now, the album remains mysteriously missing from Apple Music, who Ocean has a deal with, and people are losing their minds on the internet. Now granted, it doesn’t take much for people on the internet to bug out, but the long-building anticipation for the talented R&B singer’s follow-up to channel Orange has hit an absolute fever pitch.

Since it might be a while until the album actually is released, here are some entertaining tweets about an otherwise frustrating situation to tide you over in the meantime.
