Ellen Hoog

Ellen Hoog is a 30-year-old Dutch Olympic field hockey player. The Overveen, Netherlands native is one of the most decorated field hockey players in the world, as her trophy case is stocked to the brim with medals. The midfielder has won three European Championships (2005, 2009, and 2011), two World Championships (2006 and 2014), and two Olympic gold medals (2008 and 2012).

At the 2012 Olympics, Ellen made history with a clutch penalty shootout performance. In the semi-final against New Zealand, Ellen’s winning shot made her the first player to decide a major championship match in a penalty shootout. Talk about having ice water in your veins.

Ellen and the rest of her Netherlands squad are massive favorites to pull off a three-peat in 2016. They are -110 to win gold in Rio, and Ellen is such a babe that I’m considering pulling a Benedict Arnold and throwing a few bucks on the Dutch. Try your best to enjoy 22 of her hottest photos without committing financial treason.

london stabbing

A fatal stabbing happened in Russell Square, central London, at about 10:30 P.M. on Wednesday night. A woman, an American, was killed and five other people were injured. Police say armed officers arrived on the scene within six minutes of receiving emergency calls. Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of murder. [lead image via Getty]

According to BBC, the suspect is a 19-year old male Norwegian national of Somali origin. Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley said police believed it was a spontaneous attack and that the victims were selected at random. Rowley further said investigation so far does not suggest attacker’s Somali background is relevant to his motivation, and that police have found no evidence of radicalisation that would suggest terrorism was motive. Rowley says the investigation is a result of possible mental health issues.

The victim, an American woman in her 60s, was killed at the scene, while 5 other sustained stabbing wounds.

The name of the suspect has yet to be released.

Gabby Douglas is a 20-year-old artistic gymnast from Newport News, Virginia. She is nicknamed the Flying Squirrel, and she is one of the most decorated gymnasts around. At the 2012 Olympics, Douglas won gold in both the individual all-around and team competitions.

She became the first African-American gymnast to ever win the all-around event, and the first American gymnast to ever win both the all-around and team competitions in a single Olympic Games. Douglas has also been very successful at World Championships, winning a team gold in 2011, a team gold in 2015, and an all-around silver in 2015.

Douglas will be heading back to the Olympics in 2016 to try to follow up on her historic 2012 campaign. It will most definitely be a tall task, but I’m sure she’s up for the challenge. Let’s do our part in wishing Gabby Douglas good luck in Rio by taking a look at 22 of her hottest photos.

Abby Johnston is a 26-year-old U.S. Olympic diver from Upper Arlington, Ohio. When Johnston isn’t crushing the competition off the diving board, she’s hitting the books at Duke University. Johnston just finished up her second year of medical school, and she’s announced that this will be her last Olympic Games. She’s going to focus on her studies, trading in her swimsuit for a stethoscope.

Abby Johnston’s already had a helluva career, becoming a senior national champion six times in the synchronized 3-meter and once in the individual 3-meter. She also won the NCAA Championship in the individual 3-meter in 2011. At the 2012 Olympics,  brought home a silver medal with partner Kelci Bryant in the synchronized 3-meter. It was America’s first ever medal in the synchronized 3-meter, and it ended a 12-year medal drought for the U.S. in all diving events.

Johnston didn’t qualify for the synchronized 3-meter this time around, but her second-place finish at the U.S. Olympic Trials in the individual 3-meter punched her ticket to Rio. Let’s do our part in wishing Abby Johnston good luck in her final Olympics by taking a look at 22 of her hottest photos.

According to The Independent, reports have suggested that the Mall in the city centre of Waterford, Ireland has been closed to traffic and buildings in the area have been evacuated. WLRFM is reporting that a person rang Gardai to inform them a bomb had been left on the premises of the Cafe Royal in the Theatre Royal. There may be explosives placed at the city council offices and in the Theatre Royal, right next door. Emergency teams are at the scene.

Mikaela Mayer is a 26-year-old U.S. Olympic boxer from Los Angeles, California. The Northern Michigan University alum fights at the lightweight (60 kg, 132 lbs) and light welterweight (64 kg, 141 lbs) weight classes. She won a USA Boxing National Championship at light welterweight in 2012, two USA Boxing National Championships at lightweight in 2014 and 2015, and a bronze medal at light welterweight at the 2012 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships.

This will be Mikaela’s first Olympic appearance, and it was most definitely well-deserved. After narrowly missing out on the 2012 Olympics by finishing second at the U.S. Olympic Trials, Mikaela came back with a vengeance. She punched her ticket to Rio in the lightweight class by winning both the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials and the 2016 AIBA Americas Qualifier.

Let’s hope that Mikaela’s winning ways continue at the Olympics. As you’ll see in the gallery of her 22 hottest photos, she is a total knockout. Super lame pun intended.

Gwen Jorgensen is a 30-year-old triathlete from Waukesha, Wisconsin. She is a University of Wisconsin alum, and her résumé as a Badger is super impressive. She was on the swimming, track and field, and cross-country teams, and she earned All-American honors in both track and field and cross country. She also dominated in the classroom, graduating with a master’s degree in accounting.

This will be Jorgensen’s second Olympic appearance after her first one ended in heartbreak. At the 2012 Olympics, her bike had a flat tire, causing her to finish in a disappointing 38th place. But it seems that unfortunate mishap has just provided fuel for her fire, as she’s won the last two International Triathlon Union World Championships.

She will be the heavy favorite in the triathlon in Rio, and it would be poetic justice for her to bring home that gold medal. Let’s do our part in supporting Gwen Jorgensen’s quest for redemption by taking a look at 22 of her hottest photos.

Sue Bird is a 35-year-old U.S. Olympic basketball player from Syosset, New York. Sue played her college ball at the University of Connecticut, and her résumé as a Husky is highly impressive. The 5’9″ point guard won two National Championships, and she was named the Naismith College Player of the Year in her senior season.

After college, Bird was selected first overall by the Seattle Storm in the 2002 WNBA Draft. She has been one of the best players in the league, winning two championships and being selected to nine All-Star teams. For her career, she’s averaged 12.3 points, 5.4 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals.

On the international circuit, she brought home Olympic gold in 2004, 2008, and 2012. She also won a gold in 2002, a bronze in 2006, a gold in 2010, and a gold in 2014 at the FIBA World Championships. Bird’s seven combined Olympic and FIBA World Championship medals are tied with Lisa Leslie for the second most all-time.

She will be looking for her fourth Olympic gold medal in 2016, and I’m sure as hell betting on her. This woman is a goddamn winning machine. You can practically start counting your winnings now while scrolling through 22 of Sue Bird’s hottest photos.

This Fitness Model Used To Be Wafer Thin, Now A Healthy, Attractive Hottie

Courtney Black model

Instagram @CourtneyDBlack

Courtney Black is one of the millions of women in the world who used to be obsessed with unhealthy diets, essentially starving herself and then overexercising to lose the water weight her body needed. As someone who used to be a talented dancer, Black knew that her approach to fitness wasn’t something that was A) healthy or B) sustainable. At one point, she claims that she weighed around 95 pounds and that people told her that she looked like she was “dying.”

So after a few years of dangerous dieting, she decided to change her approach to weight and happiness. She continued going to the gym but started eating five (healthy) meals a day. She stopped worrying about looking like a stick and started working out–doing things other than daily eight-mile runs.

You can see an example of what she used to look like below:

Attractive? Sure. But you should see what she looks like now that she’s eating healthy and treating her body right. It’s a serious improvement. And her followers on Instagram agree, too. She’s currently sitting at over 100K followers on IG. Check out Courtney Black’s best photos in the gallery below.

Just When You Thought People Couldn’t Get Any Crazier, This Guy Plays Pokémon GO While Jumping Out Of A Plane

Pokemon GO

Anyone who has the unfortunate pleasure of keeping up with my articles knows I’ve been a Pokémon GO realist “hater” since jump street. Frankly, I found it boring, poorly made, and depending on who you ask, one giant CIA conspiracy. But that’s neither here nor there. What I do know is that the Pokémon GO craze this summer has produced some patently ridiculous headlines. For those who don’t remember, let’s recap just SOME of the stories involving Pokémon GO from the last few weeks:

Two Candians got themselves detained at the border.

A dating service, PokéDates, was launched.

Some jagoff kid crashed into a f*cking cop car.

Another herb got himself caught cheating on his girl.

There’s that guy who quit his job to become a full-time virgin “Pokemon Trainer.”

This dude fell into a lake while live streaming his Pokemon-ing on Facebook.

And finally, there’s the Minnesota man who almost got himself shot.

So just when you, or at least I, thought the Pokémon GO stories couldn’t get any more outrageous, in comes this Serbian MF jumping out of a plane to play some Pokémon GO. From the sound of it, it didn’t go too well, as he screamed, “Fuck the Pokémon, it’s not working in the sky!” upon landing. After making the jump near Lisicji Jarak Airport in Belgrade, Serbia, the skydiver known only as Drasko P. asked Pokémon GO developers Niantic to ‘fix the bug’ as if an app not working while hurdling out of a plane defines a ‘bug’.

According to Mirror, Drasko P. (which sounds like a rap name, BTW) said:

“Under 2,000 feet I had full GPS and mobile network signal and I was trying until 500 feet from the ground, but with no luck. So I hope they will resolve this bug for us so that skydivers can also play the game in the sky.”

Yeah Drasky, I mean, I don’t know what you were expecting. You certainly weren’t gonna find any of the Legendary Birds up there, I’ll tell ya that. Apparently, they’re in Ohio, of all places.

Iraq vs Denmark Mens Soccer

The Iraq Men’s National soccer team will face off against the team from Denmark in the first Olympic Men’s Soccer game. Obviously, there could be some better teams opening up the event, but it’s kind of cool to see a team like Iraq kick off the Olympics. Iraq’s soccer team hasn’t qualified for the Summer Olympics since the Athens 2004 Summer Olympics.

Denmark is favored by a considerable amount in this game, considering that their current FIFA ranking is #44 versus #85 of Iraq. Denmark is the favorite to make it out of their group and their experience in international soccer could make this an early blowout. Additionally, since goal differential is the key factor in group stage tiebreakers, they could try and pile on a couple of goals early.

That being said, if the Iraq team can gain a point off of Denmark in the group stage, we think they’ll be ecstatic.

WATCH: Moronic Democrats Blindly Agree With Donald Trump Statements Thinking They’re Hillary Clinton Quotes

Democrat Hillary Clinton Donald Trump Prank

Does anyone have a f*cking clue anymore? I’m so frustrated that for maybe the first time in my editorial career, I don’t have anything snarky to say. No metaphors or sophomoric jokes. Just pure frustration at how genuinely stupid this country is turning out to be: Democrats and Republicans, alike. Leave it to Jimmy Kimmel and his Lie Witness News prank that he’s always pulling on unsuspecting idiots to prove how misinformed and generally uneducated most Americans seem to be when it comes to politics. I mean, the interviewer literally asks (paraphrasing here): “So, this is clearly a direct contrast to what Donald Trump is preaching?” to which the interviewees say, “Oh, of course! This is clearly different from Trump’s sentiments!” All while talking about a Donald Trump quote. Unbelievable America, really.

They only thing I can do at this point is quote the great Detective Del Spooner from the 2004 classic I, Robot:

“Does believing you’re the last sane man on the planet make you crazy? ‘Cause if it does, maybe I am.”

Raise your hand if you feel this way, cause I certainly do.

Zakaria Bulhan, a 19-year old male Norwegian national of Somali origin, from South London, has been arrested on suspicion of murder in the Russell Square stabbing attack in London. Bulhan moved to Tooting, South London, from Norway in 2002. An American woman in her sixties was killed, and five others were injured. Zakaria Bulhan is now in custody at a South London police station.

According to BBC, Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley said police believed it was a spontaneous attack and that the victims were selected at random. Rowley indicated that so far their investigation has found no evidence of terrorism and that it is becoming increasingly likely that the attack was a result of mental health issues. However, many people are Twitter are scoffing at the suggestion that this attack was the result of mental health, and not terrorism.

According to the Daily Mail, Bulhan was a ‘quiet, shy pupil who was bullied at his London secondary school.’ His former friends from Graveney School in Tooting, south London, have now revealed how Chelsea supporter Bulhan was a quiet boy who was bullied in the early stages of secondary school. One friend said: ‘He was quite quiet, but had friends. He was a little bullied but nothing too extreme’ and that she was ‘shocked’ to see his name linked to the murder.

An internet search into Zakaria Bulhan does not yield many results, however, we were able to find what could possibly his Goodreads account, which suggests that he was Muslim. This is sure to upset many across Europe, who have been claiming that the attack was a result of terrorism, and not the mental illness of a “Norwegian” man as the police have been stating. It confirms nothing, but it is worth a mention:

Similarly, a Google search of “Zakaria Bulhan” brings up this LinkedIn page of a Zakaria Bulhan, from London, United Kingdom, who studied at Kingston College, however, it cannot be confirmed that this is him :

Darlene Horton was identified as the woman who was murdered in the Russell Square attack. She is the wife of Florida State University psychology professor Richard Wagner. Horton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Tallahassee Democrat reports that Horton was in London with her husband, Florida State University professor Richard Wagner, who is in London for a summer study program. The couple was set to return to the United States on Friday, August 4, the day after the attack.

According to The Sun, Horton’s last words were “He’s still here, he’s still here.”

In a statement after the attack, Florida State University President John Thrasher said:

There are no words to express our heartache over this terrible tragedy. We are shocked that such senseless violence has touched our own FSU family, and we will do all we can to assist Professor Wagner and his loved ones, as well as his friends and colleagues in the Psychology department, as they mourn.

Paige Selenski: Hottest Photos Of The U.S. Olympic Field Hockey Player

Paige Selenski is a 26-year-old field hockey player from Shavertown, Pennsylvania. The former University of Virginia standout plays forward, and she’s a two-time Pan American Games champion, bringing home the gold in 2011 and 2015. But after the 2015 Pan American Games, Selenski was forced to undergo surgery for a nasty hamstring injury. Her hamstring tore from the bone, and she was sidelined for five months.

Selenski has since returned to action for the U.S. national field hockey team, but the 2012 Olympian was named an alternate for the 2016 Olympics. I guess the coaches feel that she isn’t up to full strength, which is a bummer of epic proportions.

While it sucks that she didn’t make the official roster, it’s still amazing that she made it this far after suffering such a major injury. She’s also so gorgeous that she might psyche out the other countries just by standing on the sidelines in Rio. Anybody who says that you need to actually play to impact a game clearly hasn’t seen Paige Selenski’s abs.

Laura Graves is a 29-year-old U.S. Olympic dressage rider. The Fayston, Vermont native won big at the 2015 Pan American Games, bringing home gold in team dressage and silver in individual dressage.

She’ll now turn her focus to the biggest stage of them all, as she and her horse Verdades qualified for the 2016 Olympics. Graves will join Steffen Peters, Allison Brock and Kasey Perry-Glass on the four-member U.S. Olympic dressage squad.

This will be Laura Graves’ first Olympic appearance, and let’s hope that it ends with a medal around her neck. According to the FEI World Rankings, Graves and Verdades are currently ranked 10th in individual dressage, so I’m sure much crazier things have happened on the equestrian circuit. Let’s do our part in wishing Laura Graves good luck in Rio by taking a look at 22 of her hottest photos.
