There are a couple of nations that are consistently in the conversation to home to the world’s most beautiful women. There’s America (of course), Italy, Spain, Colombia, the usual suspects. Hell, Ludacris claims ‘the best women all reside in Africa’, so there’s that. One nation, however, always in the conversation is Brazil.

I mean, hell, Brazil literally has a competition for the best butt in the country. Men’s favorite wax type, Brazilian, is named after the country. Of course, there’s a reason for all of this, and that reason is that Brazil is home to the most beautiful women in the world. Something that hopefully we’ll get to see a good amount of that during the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics.

Okay, first off, let it be known that this story is about how much the LEGAL pot user spends a year on weed, which is why this number seems a little low. It’s also far less interesting because I’m wayyyy more curious how much the illegal pot user (AKA probably about 80% of smokers) spends.  ” A cannabis intelligence firm, Headset Inc., reviewed approximately 40,000 dispensary purchases made in Washington State from September 2014 to July 2016 and found that the average recreational pot consumer is a 37-year-old man who spends $647 annually on bud, with approximately 19.5 days between purchases.”

This would be far more relevant to me if I had a f*cking clue what the rates are in a legal bud shop, as I have never been to one. Do they sell eighths? Are quarters less than $90 (they sure as hell better be)?

Furthermore, according to Bloomberg:

The average age of legal marijuana consumers is 37, millennials make most of the pot purchases, with over 50 percent of consumers aged 21 to 34. According to the data, customers in their twenties spend an average of $27  per purchase but make dispensary visits more often than other generations, a median of every 16 days. Comparatively, those in their thirties visit every 18.2, and those in their forties visit every 20 days, with the median spend per trip also increasing with age.

I do not smoke the devil’s lettuce because I’m a hard-working, do-gooding Christian boy, butttttttt, if I did decide to invest in zoot suits, I’d probably be spending more then $650 a year, that’s for sure.

Geneva Cointrin Airport is on lockdown after a bomb threat phone call.  Armed officers have begun to surround the airport following a tip-off from the French. According to Reuters:

“Preventive security measures were being taken around the airport, Geneva police said on their Facebook page, and would continue for an indefinite period. Officers armed with machine guns were on duty around the airport, which straddles the Swiss border with France.

A spokeswoman for the Geneva police said:

“We have received information that is serious enough to put in place preventive controls here at Geneva airport. We cannot give details of staffing numbers, nor on the information we have received, for obvious reasons of security. The investigation is indeed being conducted by the French authorities for the time being.”

According to various sources, airport officials said an the alert was triggered by an anonymous telephone call, saying it was a bomb threat, without giving any further details.

However, despite this,  airport officials at the Geneva airport said the airport was open and functioning normally. Bertrand Staempfli, a spokesman for the airport, has advised passengers to arrive early because of the extra security checks.

According to the Daily Mail, on its Facebook page, the Geneva police department said Wednesday the measures are linked to ‘information received’ that is being verified amid current enhanced security with threats and concerns facing many parts of Europe.

With the Summer Olympics right around the corner, let’s take some time to get acquainted with U.S. Olympic sprinter Ariana Washington. Washington is from Long Beach, California, and she specializes in the 100 and 200 meter events. The redshirt freshman just capped off a monster season at the University of Oregon, winning both the 100 meter and the 200 meter at the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships. Washington became the first freshman to ever win both events.

After the NCAA season was over, the 19-year-old turned her focus on qualifying for the Olympics. Washington came in sixth place in the 100 meter and fifth place in the 200 meter at the U.S. Olympic Trials. While her finishes weren’t good enough to make the Olympic roster in either event, they were good enough to grab the attention of the U.S. coaches. Ariana Washington was selected as a member of the 4 x 100 meter relay team, and she will make her Olympic debut in Rio.

Well, it’s official: he’s everywhere. You cannot go one day without hearing Donald Trump’s name or seeing his face. What started out as a funny, “Oh what if?” kind of joke has turn into a full-fledged, somewhat frightening reality. South Park said it best, actually. In typical South Park fashion, they were way ahead of the curve:

“Nobody ever really thought he’d be president. It was a joke! But we just let the joke go on for too long. He kept gaining momentum and by the time we were all ready to say, ‘Ok, let’s get serious now. Who should really be President?’, he was already being sworn into office.”

Anyway, enough of my passionate adoration for South Park, and back to this mutated steak. I guess you could chalk this up to something like the Rorschach test, and since Trump is all deeply embedded into our subconscious now, we just happen to be projecting his image onto the steak.

More than six Washington State University football players were recorded on a Snapchat video getting into an off-campus house party fight last Friday night. A senior at the school, Alex Rodriguez, was left with a broken jaw. Another student got a concussion.

Witnesses to the fight who were interviewed by The Seattle Times told the paper that a couple of football players were acting a fool: setting off fireworks at the back of the house party, throwing them at people, and destroying property. When Alex Rodriguez, a resident of the house they were destroying, asked them to stop. Then he asked them to stop again. Allegedly the third time he went back, the Times reports, he was sucker punched and received a broken jaw for his efforts. Another one of his friends got a concussion.

Here’s a statement from the Pullman Police chief given to The Seattle Times:

“Right now it’s more than five or six (players), but not much more that we’re looking at who are actively involved,” Pullman Police Commander Chris Tennant said Monday afternoon. “I think it’s a little premature to call anybody a suspect, but we can confirm after talking to people, even players, that WSU football players were at this party. We have a list of names provided to us by witnesses and victims, and sometimes even players themselves.

“Some WSU football players are persons of interest and we’re working with the WSU athletic department and the football department.”

I genuinely wonder how some people are so chill with being so sh*tty. I am nottttt perfect. I’ve had my fair share of questionable decisions throughout my life. I’m sure you have too. But stuff like this – the story of a man screwing his grandparents out of their 50 year home – can only be done by genuinely no-good, morally incorrect, people.

Helen and Hank Kawecki have lived in their Thousand Oaks, California home for 56 years. And they are about to be evicted.

According to Fox News, Doug Emerson, one of the Kawecki’s neighbors, noticed that when Hank and Helen were out on Sundays with their grandson, realtors would show the house to potential buyers. Emerson did some investigating and discovered that the grandson was selling the house without their knowledge.

Helen Kawecki, who looks and acts like your classic adorable grandmother, said:

I asked him outright, is my house for sale. He said, “no, no, don’t worry about it.” But it was for sale.”

But not only was the house on the market, but all the equity was gone as well. According to Emerson, the neighbor:

“He took out a loan of $360,000 then he took out another loan for $65,000. Then, he went to another mortgage broker, packaged those and took out another loan for $47,400 and he didn’t make any payments on that. That started the foreclosure going.”

Hank and Helen confronted their lowlife, worthless, assumed druggie (I’m making that call) grandson, he fled and never came back. I guess what Batman says is true: ” criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot.”

As a 23-year-old man who is still lucky to have grandparents in his life, I genuinely cannot wrap my head around this level of  scumbaggery. I mean, look, you can be a bad person, whatever dude, but to DRAG YOUR GRANDPARENTS INTO IT?! PEOPLE WHO LOVE YOU DEARLY?! There are circles of hell reserved for these types of people, and I hope wherever Hank and Helen Kawecki’s grandson is, that he knows that circle is waiting for him.

We were back in court this morning asking for a stay of execution. There was a great deal of back and forth between the two attorneys and the judge. The attorney for the property owner kept talking about the amount of money his clients were loosing everyday – but in the end the judge said this – maybe not exact words. This is a very extraordinary case. I do not have the power to overturn the juries verdict, but I do wide discretionary power over the execution of the verdict.

“I issue a stay of execution of 60 days”

He said that, in now way, was he going to put this elderly couple out on the street and he was not going to make them homeless. He was not going to make them pay rent!

After the verdict, the attorney for the property owner had the gall to suggest that the property owner should be forced to pay rent from the Gofundme account! They had seen the media and seen the Gofundme account page.

There have been many Gofundme accounts about paying money to attorneys and concerns about not giving the money directly to Hank and Helen. I am going to answer them in a following post later tonight.

But because he’s the POTUS–and his security is of utmost importance–the exact schedule for day three of the DNC is likely to be kept pretty tight-lipped.

Pokemon Go is a great and addictive game, but for some reason Niantic doesn’t want to you to play the game in landscape mode. Thankfully, iPhone users have found a workaround that lets you switch the game from portrait mode to landscape mode. Technically it’s a glitch that was discovered by a redditor accidentally, but a ton of people have successfully recreated it.

Some of the best things in life have happened by mistake, right?

How To Play Pokemon Go In Landscape Mode on iPhone

1. Open Pokemon Go on your iPhone and then hold your phone sideways.
2. Tape the Pokeball menu button and then head to settings (upper left).
3. Tap “Report High-Priority Issue,” then tap “Yes.” This should bring you out of the app and into Safari.
4. Hit the Home button on your phone, and tap the Pokemon Go icon on the app.

Keep in mind that this method is something that only works for iPhones, and that since it’s a glitch you might encounter a couple of problems while you’re playing.

How To Play Pokemon Go Landscape Mode On Android

As of now, the only way to play Pokemon Go on your android phone is by using a third-party app that allows you full control over the screen orientation.

1. Download Set Orientation from the Google Play Store (download link)
2. Open the app and set the orientation to “Landscape”

I love Honest Trailers, and I hate Pokemon GO, so this combo right here is like chicken & broccoli. An explosion has happened at a Government office for migrants and refugees in the German town Zirndorf in northern Bavaria. According to The Sun, early reports say the device was a suitcase bomb.

According to Belfast Telegraph:

“German broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk reported that a suitcase filled with aerosols was detonated.”

According to this Conflits-FR, the bomb consisted of a suitcase full of aerosols, which means the explosion would be of low intensity, and that it would not cause many injuries.

At the time of this writing, there are no injuries.

What Happened?

According to Munich-based broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk, an explosion took place near a migration center near the Germany city of Nuremberg.

According to RT, “The blast reportedly took place in the town of Zindorf in northern Bavaria. Bayerischer Rundfunk is reporting that a suitcase filled with various cans exploded about 200 meters away from the refugee center.”

Law enforcement sources have confirmed that a police operation is underway near where the explosion reportedly took place. As of right now, there is no reported damage or injuries.

People are always talking about what America has, but what truly makes this nation great is what we don’t have. Case in point: wild leopards, and large cats in general. America doesn’t have wild leopards running rampant on innocent towns and for that, I am thankful.

According to the Daily Mail, the wild beast  emerged from the fields in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and entered a home where it tried to drag away a 3-year-old boy while he was sitting in his uncle’s lap. 10 people were injured during the incident. The uncle, known only as Suraj, managed to hold onto his nephew. However, the child sustained severe injuries from the mauling.

The animal then fled to a nearby village where it hid in a house and attacked two more unsuspecting women.

10 people in total were injured, including two policemen. According to Forest department officials, the leopard eventually died of cardiac arrest.

Mary Beth Haglin, a substitute teacher from Iowa, could be facing up to two years in prison for the sexual exploitation of a Cedar Rapids, Michigan high school student. Prosecutors have charged Haglin, who is 24, with sexual exploitation by a school employee.

According to KCRG TV:

The Cedar Rapids School District says Haglin worked as a substitute in the last school year, primarily at Washington High School. The former substitute claimed prior abusive relationships left her vulnerable to this kind of inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old student. But she admitted it was primarily her fault.

“I do take responsibility. I’m not shying away from this. I’m facing this head on,” Haglin said.

On May 17, 2016, The Cedar Rapids School District told Mary Beth Haglin not to come back as a substitute teacher at the high school and forwarded the matter to authorities. That message was not received by the Grant Wood Area Education Agency office until June 14th, meaning Haglin was able to keep teaching in the district for another month after she was caught.

With Suicide Squad coming out in a mere nine days, the media machine is operating at max capacity. Interviews, late-night talk shows, comic-cons. you name it, and the Suicide Squad cast is doing it. Maybe the best thing to come out of the endless media barrage is this awesome interview that Jared Leto did with Rolling Stone. Leto dives into everything: method acting, rock climbing, his band, his drug use, his childhood and of course, what it’s like playing The Joker.

Discussing what it was like to fill the iconic purple shoes of the Joker, Leto said he was hesitant at first, but then eventually warmed up to the idea:

The Rio 2016 Summer Olympics have been rife with issues that have caused concern from governments, athletes and the media alike. But despite the danger of crime and disease in Rio, the Athlete’s Village is supposed to be a safe haven for Olympians to interact with other Olympians. Not only is it the largest Olympic Village in the history of the games, the village is the place where athletes can avoid the hustle and bustle of Rio and safely sleep and party with their competitors.

So how safe is it? Well, earlier this week we learned that the Australian Olympic Team had refused to move into their accommodations because “of problems in the Village, including gas, electricity and plumbing I have decided that no Australian Team member will move into our allocated building.” Yes, the Aussies helped avoid a serious diplomatic issue by eventually moving in, but their complaints did confirm that it’s still not very safe and it’s definitely not ready for the world’s premiere athletes to stay in.

In fact, The Guardian recently published a report that stated only 12 of the 31 apartment buildings being used for the Olympic Village have passed safety inspections. There’s also the issue of an open (and reportedly very smelly) sewer located not 50 meters away from the village.

The PGA Championship is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers Association of America and is one of the four major championships in professional golf. The PGA Championship is the last major tournament of the year and is usually played in mid-August on the third weekend prior to Labor Day weekend. It is an official money event on the PGA Tour, European Tour, and Japan Golf Tour, with a purse of $10 million for the 97th edition in 2015. PGA champions are automatically invited to play in the other three majors (Masters Tournament, U.S. Open, and The Open Championship) for the next five years, and are exempt from qualifying for the PGA Championship for life.
