After becoming in the past year or so the undisputed king of Snapchat, DJ Khaled is bigger than ever. While his actual talent beyond associating himself with all the hottest contemporary rappers remains unclear, Khaled’s daily social media escapades have truly inspired us all. And after recently blessing us with “For Free” featuring Drake and “I Got the Keys” featuring Jay-Z and Future Khaled has dropped… another one.

“Holy Key” features verses by Big Sean and Kendrick Lamar. Big Sean offers his standard fare; fans of his will enjoy his verse on here even though it has a fairly repetitive rhyme scheme. Kendrick goes in with a typically explosive verse.

The track also includes a soulful chorus by R&B legend Betty Wright, whose peak popularity was in the 1970’s. “Basically, I told her go to church,” Khaled says he told Wright before she recorded the chorus.

“Holy Key” is a single off of DJ Khaled’s upcoming album “Major Key”, which will be released on Friday July 29th.

While I still refuse to download Pokémon Go, the latest fad that is seducing the entire world, I am grateful that is making my job a lot easier. Seemingly every day there is some wild Pokémon Go-related story to tell you about, each one more unbelievable than the last. From the girl finding a dead body searching for Pokémon to the dunce who was caught cheating on his girlfriend because of the app to the video of the guy who almost got shot playing it, Pokémon Go has been delivering an endless stream of WTF anecdotes.

Here’s another one to add to the list: two airhead Canadian teenagers were detained after accidentally crossing the U.S. border from Alberto into Montana while on a quest to catch ’em all. This illegal entry of course temporarily doubled Montana’s population.

Michael Rappold, the U.S. Department of Homeland Customs and Border Protection agency’s public relations officer, said, “They crossed the international border inadvertently, but agents were able to reunite them with their mother.”

A lot has been said about Donald Trump’s plan to build a big, beautiful wall on the Mexican border. But if enough Canadians enraptured by Pokémon Go follow suit and aimlessly wander into the United States, Trump might want to look into building a wall on our northern border too.

Gal Gadot is here with the first Wonder Woman trailer — and, boy, is it packed full of feministy goodness. The folks at DC are working overtime to assure you that Wonder Woman (who always struck us as kind of independent) isn’t going to let any man tell her what to do. “What I do is not up to you,” she even says to Chris Pine!

Otherwise, this seems okay. We don’t see a really impressive villain, but it looks like a pretty good WWI movie that just happens to have a lot of hot Amazons. We’re guessing that the casting folks at Warner Bros weren’t so concerned about feminism that Paradise Island won’t be packed full of hotties.

But the best thing here is Lucy Davis as Etta Candy at the end of the trailer. Back in the 1940s, Etta wasn’t Steve Rogers’ secretary. She was Wonder Woman’s full-figured aide — and was very intimate with both the superheroine and her alter-ego of Diana Prince.

Etta also had a tendency to spank villainesses and was occasionally worshiped by other women. She even made our list of favorite lesbian comic-book characters. None of that’s in the trailer, but let’s hope the actual film respects Etta’s heritage…

Kong: Skull Island has now joined Wonder Woman and Justice League as the latest hotly-anticipated movie to get a sneak peek at San Diego Comic Con — and we don’t really have any complaints here. Maybe it’s a little too generic, and could look like another Jurassic Park offshoot. This could still play out more like Predator.

We’re not sure when Skull Island had to become Kong: Skull Island, either. Marketing decision, probably. They didn’t know Tom Hiddleston would be dating Taylor Swift by now. Personally, we’re more smitten by Brie Larson’s tough-gal attitude here.

We still like the big ape hand, and John Goodman is a decent replacement for Michael Keaton. We’re expecting Samuel L. Jackson will make it through the film for longer than he did in Deep Blue Sea, too.

Also, keep in mind that Kong: Skull Island is leading up to a King Kong vs. Godzilla movie. The size of King Kong had to match the big lizard, you know? Take a look for yourself, and think of the fast-food possibilities with the size of some of these island inhabitants……

John Calipari is no stranger to NCAA violations. But this is his first which was brought on by the actions of Drake.

After Calipari moved on from UMass and Memphis, the two NCAA basketball programs he previously coached, those schools were soon after penalized by the NCAA for violations during his tenure.  Now Calipari is at the helm of Kentucky, which produces a yearly fleet of first-round NBA draft studs like John Wall, Anthony Davis and Karl-Anthony Towns.  And chances are the longtime slimy coach isn’t suddenly running a squeaky clean program.

But Kentucky’s most recent NCAA violation isn’t the type of scandal that will be detrimental to the program or put Calipari’s job in jeopardy. It does provide us with another reason to make fun of Drake though.

The megastar rapper has made his UK fandom known in the past several years. He even was invited to participate in the 2014 Big Blue Madness and promptly air-balled his first shot. But now Drake has caused his favorite program to receive a secondary NCAA violation.

All Drake did was take the Instagram picture below with former Wildcat, and current Phoenix Sun, Tyler Ulis. Apparently taking a picture with a celebrity is now a violation. Or maybe it’s just because it’s Drake.

While Drake won’t be thrilled that he earned Kentucky one of their 13 assessed violations, at least the picture is not one of his more embarrassing ones with basketball players.

And Jay-Z was fined $50,000 by the NCAA for celebrating in Kentucky’s locker room in 2011, which he famously scoffed at in Ni**as In Paris, so maybe a Kentucky-related NCAA violation is now requisite for being considered one of the greatest.

Vice Principals made its series debut on HBO on Sunday, July 17, and it was a doozy of a premiere. When Principal Welles (Bill Murray) announced his retirement, rival Vice Principals Neal Gamby (Danny McBride) and Lee Russell (Walton Goggins) were certain that one of them would be crowned the next head honcho. But not so fast, my friends. North Jackson High School decided instead to bring in Dr. Belinda Brown (Kimberly Herbert Gregory) to run the show. Gamby tried to turn the teachers against Dr. Brown, but she quickly sniffed out his plan and busted him. She punished Gamby by giving him bus duty, and while he was sulking in the parking lot, he ending up making an unexpected alley in Russell. The two sworn enemies decided to unite to try to dethrone Dr. Brown, which I’m sure will end up with non-stop scheming and ridiculous pranks.

Brie Larson says, “Call me Captain Marvel” via Twitter — and we’re completely sold on the gal who’s had a big Saturday at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con. Brie had already seen the debut of the trailer for Kong: Skull Island, and that had already given us lots of Brie to binge on for the day. But then Brie put on a pretty super outfit to announce that she’ll be playing Carol Danvers in the upcoming Captain Marvel movie from Marvel Studios…

There’s a long and complicated history to Captain Marvel. He was originally a guy in the ’60s who was mainly created so Marvel could claim rights to the name, which had been used by an earlier superhero now known as Shazam. Marvel tried bringing the character back as a female cop from New Orleans with electrical powers, but she never got popular. After a few other false starts, Marvel just took their Ms. Marvel character and gave her a different rank.

That really just means Brie is a perfectly fine choice for the role, since there’s no real face to Captain Marvel to get fans complaining. Check out these pics below, and you’ll see why fans should really be ecstatic…

We don’t really know enough about ballistic forensic evidence to say this video is fake. If it is, though, we’re impressed at the care that went into posing as an addled idiot who’d shoot himself in the face because he’s all bored and doesn’t give a f#¢k. The guy’s totally believable. Ballers is HBO’s most successful comedy in a decade. Not since Entourage has HBO aired a comedy this popular. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, though, because the Rock is a living cheat code for awesomeness. It’s essentially a sports version of Entourage starring The Rock, so it’s success was virtually built in. The second season premiered on July 17, and is made up of 10, 30-minute episodes.

Ballers tells the story of Spencer Strasmore. According to the Ballers website, Ballers is about Spencer Strasmore, a retired NFL star, as he tries to find the same success as a financial manager for current players in sun-splashed Miami. Heeding his boss Joe’s instruction to “monetize his friendships,” Spencer builds a client base of young phenoms and veteran stars alike, but his role in their lives far exceeds money management as he struggles to help them navigate the many traps that come with life as big-time “ballers.”

Season 2 brings back all of it’s season 1 cast members, as well as adding Andy Garcia as the antagonist. Ballers stars Johnson as Spencer Strasmore, a retired NFL player turned financial manager, Rob Corddry as Joe Krutel, a financial advisor at Anderson Financial who tries hard to fit in, John David Washington as Ricky Jerret, a highly competitive and spiritual NFL player, Omar Miller as Charles Greane, an affable former NFL player who is searching for his next career, and Andy Garcia, who’s character has been described as a “top dog” in the business.

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is one of the quintessential sitcoms for those of us who grew up in the 90’s. Anybody in their 20’s who can’t recite the entire Fresh Prince theme song simply cannot be trusted. While everyone fell in love with Will Smith, who deservingly went on to become one of the biggest Hollywood stars on the planet, his pompous yet lovable cousin Carlton was also essential to what made Fresh Prince show so special. One of Alfonso Ribeiro’s character’s trademarks was the legendarily dorky ‘Carlton’ dance, which the actor revived along with Stephen Curry and Justin Timberlake during a celebrity golf tournament on Saturday.

I wonder if this is how Steph celebrated when he heard Kevin Durant signed with the warriors. Or if maybe Timberlake does the ‘Carlton’ every morning after he wakes up in the same bed as Jessica Biel.

The trio then also did the “Jones’ BBQ and Foot Massage” dance- whatever that is- before leaving the 17th green at Edgewood Golf Course in Lake Tahoe.

You know it’s late July when the best footage from a sporting event today is of three grown men dancing at a celebrity golf tournament.

WWE Battleground is tonight’s wrestling pay-per-view event being aired on the WWE Network. It will be taking place at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. It will be the fourth ever Battleground pay per view,  and the first event after the latest WWE brand split Raw-Smackdown draft. The first WWE Battleground Event was back in 2013 in Buffalo, New York.

On the July 7 episode of SmackDown, Zack Ryder won a match against Sheamus and then challenged Rusev to a WWE United States Championship match. On the July 11 episode of Raw, Darren Young won a battle royal to earn a title match against Intercontinental Champion The Miz at Battleground.

At Money in the Bank pay per view event, Dean Ambrose won the Money in the Bank ladder match. He then won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on Seth Rollins, who had just won the title from Roman Reigns. After a #1 Contender’s match between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins ended in a double count out, Ambrose requested to defend the title against both Reigns and Rollins. Afterwards, Shane McMahon scheduled a triple threat match between the three of them at Battleground.

Talk about some bad luck. University of Iowa defensive lineman Faith Ekakitie was seeking out Pokémon in an Iowa City Park on the ubiquitous Pokémon Go app on Wednesday, when he unexpectedly was stopped by the police who misidentified him as the culprit of a nearby bank robbery that happened 10 minutes earlier.

Ekakitie wrote in a Facebook post, “Not once did they identify themselves to me as Iowa City Police officers, but with four gun barrels staring me in the face, I wouldn’t dare question the authority of the men and woman in front of me. This is what happened from my point of view.” He also wrote that it was the first time he had ever truly feared for his life.

According to ESPN, the police officers approached Ekakitie from behind and he didn’t hear their initial commands to stop because he was wearing headphones. The police were reportedly acting on a tip that the bank robber was a black man who, like the Hawkeye, was wearing black at the time.

Another day, another strange Pokémon Go-related occurrence. If you are going to submerge yourself into the Pokémon Go world, we urge you to beforehand make sure there weren’t any bank robberies near you. Or else apparently you could end up with a bunch of police guns in your face.

LSU’s Colby Delahoussaye is alive after a devastating car crash that took the life of Nebraska kicker Sam Foltz  and former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler. The two victims died when the car traveling westbound on Beaver Lake Road at 11:30 p.m. Saturday lost control on a wet road.  Sadler, 24, and 22-year old Foltz were in the front seat and pronounced dead at the scene.

Delahoussaye was in the back seat. He was released from a hospital on Sunday afternoon after receiving stitches — in addition to treatment for burns on his legs. Authorities have reported that speeding was a contributing factor in the car crash. The three players had all been participating as instructors in a kicking camp held in Wisconsin.

Delahoussaye had been planning to wrap up his career at LSU after his scholarship wasn’t renewed, as he moved to Houston to return the Texas Southern Tigers as starting placekicker…

Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has said that she will resign following the upcoming Democratic convention in Philadelphia. Wasserman Schultz has been under mounting pressure after WikiLeaks published 19,252 emails of Democratic party leaders e-mails, including ones that showed her and DNC staffers deliberately favoring Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders in the primary race to select the party’s presidential candidate.

“Going forward, the best way for me to accomplish those goals is to step down as Party Chair at the end of this convention,” Wasserman Schultz said in her statement.

Amidst the controversy, Democratic decided Saturday that Wasserman Schultz would not have a major speaking role or preside over daily happenings at the convention, which begins Monday.

DNC Rules Committee has named Marcia Fudge, a House member from Ohio, as the chair of the convention, according to a CNN report that cites a DNC source.

High-ranking Hispanic leaders were discussing Housing Secretary Julian Castro as a possible successor to Wasserman Schultz at the DNC helm, according to CNN who cites a Democratic Operative.

Today at Comic Con San Diego, Fox released new footage from the upcoming Prison Break limited-series revival and it looks like it’s going to positively bonkers.

The nine-episode run was announced in January. It is slated to run on Fox in Spring 2017.

The plot revolves around Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) having to break out of a brutal Middle East prison. Returning characters in ‘Prison Break’- which initially ran from 2005-2009-  include Michael’s wife Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) and his brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) plus former compadres T-Bag (Robert Knepper), C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar) and Sucre (Amaury Nolasco).

It’s not like I put Aldon Smith,” says the voice of the man filming himself smoking a blunt in a video that has gone viral.  The voice of the man sounds like Oakland Raider LB Aldon Smith, who is suspended for the entire season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Smith was at the beginning of his career one of the best pass rushers in the league- totaling 33.5 sacks in his first two pro seasons for the 49ers in 2011 and 2012. But he has since run into a litany of off-the-field problems, including a slew of driving under the influence charges, and his career has been derailed as a result.

Aldon Smith clearly has a screw loose but this is really next-level stupidity if it is in fact him. The only good news for Smith is that it might be difficult for the NFL to prove beyond a doubt that it is indeed him sparking up in the video.
