The University of North Texas, the fourth-largest university in Texas, is known as UNT for short.

I will admit that there’s no better acronym for the school, but one place that UNT can improve on things is within their marketing department. Because I find it hard to believe that someone who looked at this mug would not have a problem with it.

I mean, the mug very clearly spells a word that people in Britain love to use. In fact, joke sites have been selling these mugs for years. How could you not know what’s going on?

Tonight at 8 PM EST, ABC will be hosting “The President and the People: A National Conversation”. It will be a town hall discussion with President Obama, and will be focused on race, gun violence and policing. The town hall will also feature the family members and police officers from Baton Rouge, Dallas and Minneapolis tragedies. The one-hour special town hall event comes just days after President Obama attended a Dallas memorial for the five police officers shot dead last week by a sniper. It also comes after two black men were killed by officers in Louisiana and Minnesota.

The discussion will be moderated by ABC’s David Muir and ESPN’s Jemele Hill. The discussion will take place in Washington, D.C. earlier in the day and be broadcast at 8 PM EST. The town hall is being broadcast on ABC, which means it will be shown on ABC’s family of networks. These channels include ABC, ESPN, and Freeform (formerly ABC Family)

If parents weren’t already scared enough of the insanity that is Pokemon Go, this newest story coming out of Indiana is probably going to convince them to confiscate their kids’ phones.

Convicted sex offender Randy Zuick was arrested yesterday outside the Hancock County courthouse for playing Pokemon Go with a 16-year-old. The terms of Randy’s probation specifically prohibit him from interacting with anyone under 18-years-old either IRL or electronically.

Who Is Randy Zuick?

We’re sure he’s just a really sweet guy who got caught up in some nonsense, right?

Zuick pleaded guilty in April to fondling a young girl that his girlfriend was babysitting, a felony. He was sentenced to probation as well as having to register as a sex offender.

Oh wait, nevermind… This guy is complete creep.

What Happened?

Randy Zuick was playing Pokemon Go on the lawn outside the courthouse, along with a 16-year-old. According to Fox29, a probation officer recognized Randy (who was violating the terms of his probation) and ran inside to have one of the guards arrest him.

Playing with the teen violated the terms of a plea agreement Zuick agreed to three months ago in a child molestation case. He pleaded guilty to a Level 4 felony charge of child molesting for fondling a child under 14 and remains on sex-offender probation, which prohibits him from interacting with children, court records say [source].

Randy will face a judge today, and his probation could be repealed–meaning that he could be stuck playing a completely different type of “Pokey-man” in jail.

Reports of an active shooter at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX has prompted a large police response. But don’t be alarmed, because the hospital just Tweeted out that there is no active shooting situation.

It’s unknown where the information came from, since the link that MySanAntonio sent out with the original tweet links to the “art column.”

In addition to the scare at Methodist Hospital the campus of UTHSCSA was also tweeting out about an active shooter.

Model Dani Mathers is in the news today for a couple of Snapchat shower photos she posted. No, sadly they’re not the kind of Snapchats you’d expect Playboy‘s Playmate of the Year 2015 to go viral for.

Instead, Dani’s all up on your timeline because she fat shamed some other, fatter woman in her gym.

The photo in question, which you can see below, is of an unsuspecting woman taking a shower–so presumably this was taken in a gym. The photo also had the caption “If I can’t unsee this, you can’t either.” She then shared another photo with her hands over her mouth, as if to say she was going to be sick.

Unfortunately for Dani, the internet didn’t find the situation as funny as she did. A ton of people came out of the woodwork to berate Dani for sharing a naked photo of someone who had no idea she was online. In addition, they also took issue with the fact that Dani–a woman who models for her career–shouldn’t be making fun of women who look different from her.

In response, Dani posted an apology on her Snapchat account and deleted both her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

The mayor of Nice, France, tweeted that a truck ran into a crowd on Bastille Day, killing multiple people. According to Fox News, at least 30 people have been killed, and more then 100 injured.

Similarly, according to Fox News, a gunman fired at a crowd, and the police shot him. According to further reports, ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks. A witness has told the Associated Press that he saw the truck driver emerge from the vehicle with a gun and start shooting after ploughing into the crowd. Wassim Bouhlel, a Nice native who spoke to the agency near the city’s Promenade du Paillon, said: “There was carnage on the road. Bodies everywhere.”

British security and government officials are monitoring the situation in Nice, as the seriousness of the incident escalated. The initial details from the report suggest that the truck tactic has been suggested by jihadi propaganda for several years, with a vehicle ploughing into a crowd. For instance, Inspire magazine – affiliated with al-Qaida – urged the tactic several years ago. According to CNBC, President Obama has been briefed on the situation.

The Open Championship, also known as the British Open, is the oldest of the four major championships in golf. Held in the UK, the Open Championship is the only major tournament that is played outside the United States. The Open is the third major of the year, between the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship. This year’s tournament begins on Thursday, July 14. The defending Open champion is Zach Johnson, who won last year at St. Andrews. Johnson defeated Marc Leishman and Louis Oosthuizen in a 4-hole playoff. This year’s championship will be held at the Royal Troon Golf Club, the ninth overall Open Championship being played at the Royal Troon Golf Club, and the first since 2004.

This will be the first Open Championship to be broadcast by Sky Sports in Europe. The Open Championship had previously broadcasted on BBC for 60 years, from 1955 to 2015. Similar change has happened in the United States, as this year will be the first year the British Open will be televised by NBC, after 55 years of being televised by ESPN and ABC. The Golf Channel will be broadcasting the first two rounds, on Thursday and Friday,  making it the first time that Golf Channel will cover of a men’s major championship.

The Open Championship field consists of 156 players. Most of the field is made up of leading players who are given exemptions. Further places are given to players who are successful in The Open Qualifying Series and in Final Qualifying. Any remaining positions, and positions made available because qualified players are not competing, are given to the highest ranked players in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a 31-year-old from France and Tunisia, has been identified as the driver of a truck that ran over, shot and killed more than 80 people during a Bastille Day celebration in Nice, France. Although he was known to French police for being a petty criminal with a violent background, Mohamed was not on any terrorist watch lists.

Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are once again with the people of France.

Local media reported the carnage only came to a halt after Bouhlel had been shot by police after having alighted from the cabin of the truck. At the time the man had proceeded firing a volley of gunshots into revelers, after plowing more than a mile through a throng of more than a 1000, leaving a carnage in his wake. His purported shooting death came after entering a nearby restaurant [source].

As for Mohamed, French police say that he was born in Tunisia but spent much of his life living in France. He was known to have lived in the Abbatoirs area of Nice. There are a few photos of Mohamed being passed around social media, none of which are confirmed.

It is believed that Mohamed is married with three children.

Jenna Fischer is probably one of the more underrated attractive actresses in Hollywood. Known for her role as Pam Beesly in the legendary NBC show the Office, Jenna Fischer spent most of her time as Pam wearing sweaters and women’s suits, so it was hard for people to tell how truly slamming she really is.

According to Daily Mail, while State Department spokesman John Kirby did not identify the two victims, but friends on social media confirmed that they are father and son Sean and Brodie Copeland from Lakeway, Texas.

Sean Copeland, 51, was an Lexmark Corporation executive. An alumni of the University of North Texas, Sean was the vice president of North and South America for Lexmark Corporation’s Kapow Software Division

Sean, and his 11-year-old son Brodie were celebrating Bastille Day with the locals on Thursday when a terrorist drove a truck through the crowds and opened fire. The death total currently sits at 84.

Tom Currie, a 24-year-old man from New Zealand, just became the world’s first person to quit their job and become a full-time Pokemon Go hunter. This kind of Pokemon Go “news” story was inevitable, I’m just glad that this guy isn’t an American. Clueless adults in our country already think that our generation is lazy as it is–the last thing we need for them to think is that some stupid mobile game where you catch invisible creatures on your phone is going to take up all of our time.

Who Is Tom?

First things first, Tom is now unemployed. He quit his job as a barista in Auckland last week to go all around New Zealand, trying to catch all the Pokemon in Pokemon Go.

Believe it or not, I think that he’ll remain unemployed for a little longer than two months considering how his name is now synonymous with being the first person to quit their job for Pokemon Go. That’s not exactly the kind of thing a hiring manager wants to hear in your interview. I imagine that interview going something like this.

Interviewer: “I see here that there’s a short gap in your work history. Why don’t you tell me what you’ve been up to?”

Tom: “Well, I’ve been traveling all around New Zealand.”

Interviewer: “Oh that’s great! Were you backpacking? There’s so much of the country that I haven’t seen yet.”

Tom: “Well not exactly… Most of the time I was walking around homeless, staring at my phone, searching for Pikachus and children to train against.”

According to The Guardian, Tom has already booked 20 bus trips around New Zealand. He also claims that he’s captured 90 of the 151 Pokemon in Pokemon Go. Again, maybe quitting your job to play a mobile game isn’t the greatest idea ever.

What Happened?

Tom is traveling around New Zealand, catching them all, and uploading his journey to Instagram. He’s crashing on people’s couches, sleeping in hostels, and staying up until 3 AM to capture all the ghost Pokemon. From The Guardian:

A week in, and Currie’s adventure is both exhilarating and exhausting. On occasion he has hunted till 3am and he says he sleeps deeply now because of the “miles and miles” he walks each day.

“I think the most exciting experience so far was in Sumner, Christchurch, which has become a hot spot for Pokémon hunters,” Currie said.

“There were about 100 people there hunting. And some of these people would usually be shut up at home and really reclusive. Hunting for Pokémon is bringing them into the real world. It was such a buzzy atmosphere, when someone spotted a rare Pokémon they would shout out to alert the crowd.”

In all seriousness, a couple of businesses have reached out to him in an attempt to join in on the viral story–so more than likely he’ll make a little bit of money during his stunt. Still, though, it’s OK not to like this guy.

Couple weeks ago I brought you the story of The Rock acknowledging the notion of him running for President of the United States. Now, about three weeks later, he’s gone far beyond acknowledging to virtually confirming and accepting.

Speaking to Michael Strahan on Good Morning America, The People’s Champ addressed the sneakily growing desire of the public for him to run for President. The Rock first addressed the idea of him running for President on Instagram after see an article in The Washington Post about his potential run. Not to brag … well, actually, yeah this is 100% bragging, but I was one of the first people on the “The Rock for President” train. The Washington Post article was published on June 7th, but over a month before that, I suggested the idea on Facebook:

See, told you. Anyway, the Rock further elaborated on the idea this past week o GMA:

“The idea of me being President one day has become a legit thing to some people. As time goes on, we take the temperature of the American people, and if it is an overwhelming, positive, strong, ‘We want you to run for President’, and if I felt I could step up to the plate, and become a tremendous leader, and make a real difference and make change, I would do it.”

This … this very well may be the most bizarre arguments I’ve ever seen. Midwesterners reading this, do me a solid and answer a question for me: is this how you all talk? Like, I’m not even trying to be an a**hole, I’m legitimately curious if this is how the usual argument sounds in this part of the country. But, honestly, I’d rather be called a p*ssy by a guido at the Jersey Shore then called a chicken by this geezer in Bumblef*ck, Minnesota.

I mean, this dude literally uses the phrase “fetal alcohol syndrome boy” as an insult. What the hell kind of insult is that? I’d be almost too mindf*cked to respond.

Now, I have a ton of questions about this video, but I’ll keep it to a few:

1. Is Bob his name? Or is that another bizarre Minnesota insult.
2. Why the hell does he keep using the insult ‘chicken’? It’s 2016, not 1952.
3. I wonder how this argument all started. Like, how does a guy playing Pokemon Go, and a guy with a holstered gun, possibly cross paths?
4. What the hell is a ’round mouth’?
5. Our dude Bob really seems to think ‘chicken’ is gonna do the trick. Why?
6. Did I just catch a “The Exorcist” reference? I think I did. Damn, this dude is really out dated.

These Pokemon Go stories are getting more outrageous with each passing day. People have fallen into ponds, and quit their jobs. One dude got caught cheating, while another used the app to prey on children. Not to mention the girl who found a dead body while playing. All because of a relatively crappy mobile game.

I’m really hoping our honeymoon phase with Pokemon Go ends sooner than later.

Bud Light knows that few things pair better than music and cold, American beer–that’s why they’ve decided to embark on a massive nationwide tour called “The Bud Light Party Convention.” And to top it off, not only is Bud Light bringing out a variety of the world’s most popular musicians, they’re giving out tickets for free.

In the spirit of unifying fans over a refreshing beer and fun, Bud Light invites its supporters to join in on the fun as they are treated to some amazing performances across the country by its talented super delegates headlining the Bud Light Party campaign –artists like Dillon Francis, Lil’ Jon, Jason Derulo, Big Sean, Young the Giant, Lil Wayne, Ludacris and more.

We did some digging on Bud Light’s Facebook page and found out that the only way to score tickets is to head out to bars with official “Bud Light Party Convention” signs outside. They look like this:

I was stumbling around the internet this morning (cause it’s like my job. You jealous?) and I came across this article on RSVLTS about this relatively obscure Norm MacDonald monologue from the 1998 ESPY Awards. I didn’t know much about it, but the title had me hooked (well done, boys), so I gave it a watch. What followed was eight-and-a-half minutes of pure hilarity.

Upon further research, however, I found out that this monologue isn’t obscure at all. In fact, it’s quite legendary. Just look at all these articles praising the greatness that was this moment in sports history:

What a complete 180 from this year’s relatively benign monologue from John Cena. MacDonald absolutely destroyed these clowns. It’s pretty damn offensive too, just proving how much has changed in the last two decades. The dude says “You should go back to Japan, you dirty foreigner” on national television. It’s safe to say that would definitely not fly in today’s society. But even back then, MacDonald’s routine was so visceral, that ESPN literally banned him. ESPN really got soft on us.
