WATCH: Anonymous Has Declared War On The Parents Responsible For The Harambe Tragedy

0
0

Well, that was quick. Infamous hacker group Anonymous has officially decided to declare war on Michelle Gregg, the mother of the boy, and the Cincinnati Zoo , in order to find justice for Harambe, the 400 lb. silverback gorilla.

In a video released to a Facebook page for Anonymous Ohio, a man wearing the usual Guy Fawkes mask gives a speech that both explains the situation, calls for an investigation into Harambe’s death, and charges filed against Michelle Gregg for her negligence as a parent.

This isn’t the first time Anonymous has “declared war”, as they have previously had Donald Trump, Black Lives Matter, ISIS, and others. They are calling this operation #OpHarambe.

During the video, Anonymous says:

“We do not see Michelle Gregg as a fit parent. We are calling on an investigation of Michelle Gregg and the zoo. We believe she should be charged in the death of an endangered animal. We are encouraging every able-bodied person watching this video to participate. #OpHarambe engage.”

Anonymous believes that the incident is a direct resuly of Gregg’s negligence as a parent, claiming that Harambe was simply trying to protect the young boy. However, this notion has been refuted by multiple Gorilla trainers. This trainer, Amanda O’donoughue, claims on her Facebook that the actions Harambe were displaying were not signs of affection or protection, but in an attempt to intimidate the increasingly restless crowd.

I don’t really see why Anonymous had to get involved, though, as police were already conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident, as well as a petition that has racked up well over 130,000 signatures over the past 24 hours.

WATCH: Indy 500 Driver Conor Daly Turned Up Before His Race

Conor Daly Snake Pit Video

Conor Daly is a man of his word, so if the Indy 500 driver tells us that he’s going to rock out with Zed’s Dead, Martin Garixx, DJ Mustard and the rest of the DJs performing in the middle of the Indianapolis Speedway just two hours before the biggest race of his career, we believed him.

Of course, just because we believed Conor didn’t mean that weren’t going to go with him. Partying with Conor, our girl Andrea Feczko, and thousands of Verizon IndyCar Series/EDM fans (there are more than you think) isn’t something that we’d ever turn down.

While we were backstage, Conor managed to score autographs from some of his favorite artists and we got some awesome footage and met some of our favorite DJs. Obviously Conor wasn’t getting too crazy, he had a race to win, but it’s awesome to see an athlete like this enjoying the same stuff his fans do.

Those of you who haven’t yet been to a Verizon IndyCar Series race are really missing out. Now obviously the Indy 500 isn’t just any race–it’s the biggest of year–but there’s so much awesome stuff going on that you wouldn’t believe it.

Mainak Sarkar Photos: Must-See Pictures of UCLA Shooter

Mainak Sarkar has been named as the UCLA shooter on Wednesday, responsible for the death of one person. Although information was coming fast and quickly, The Daily Bruin first reported that the shooter was a white male, six feet tall, wearing black pants or a black jacket.b Police have confirmed that it was a murder suicide.

Update–6/2/2016: The LAPD Chief Beck just announced on KTLA that a “kill list” was found within Mainak Sarkar’s home. This list had the name of William Klug, a different professor at UCLA (who is safe), and the name of Ashley Hasti (Mainak’s ex-girlfriend). She was found dead by police when they searched her home.

Dr. Mainak Sarkar graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, completing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He worked for Infosys LTd. in Bangalore, India, from 2000 to 2001. After coming to America, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Texas from 2002 to 2003. Then, in 2005, he graduated from Stanford University with a Masters in Aeronautics and Astronautics. Also in 2005 to 2007, Sarkar worked as a software developer at Lucid Technologies.

During his time at UCLA, Sarkar was a teaching assistant for undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. These courses included Finitie Element Analysis, Statics and Dynamics, and Applied Mathematics. His Facebook can be found here, his LinkedIn page can be found here. Also, his dissertation paper , “Coupled Cardiac Electrophysiology and Contraction using Finite Element”, can be found here.

Sarkar’s motives appear to be due to frustration with his teacher, William Scott Klug, who Sarkar alleged stole his work and gave it to another student. In a blog post on his WordPress Site LongDarkTunnelblog, Sarkar said of Professor William Klug:

William Klug, UCLA professor is not the kind of person when you think of a professor. He is a very sick person. I urge every new student coming to UCLA to stay away from this guy…

My name is Mainak Sarkar. I was this guy’s PhD student. We had personal differences. He cleverly stole all my code and gave it another student. He made me really sick.

Mainak Sarkar has been revealed by the LAPD as the shooter responsible for the murder-suicide yesterday at UCLA. According to police, Mainak killed 39-year-old professor William Scott Klug with a 9mm pistol before turning the gun on himself.

Police claim they found a pistol and suicide note within Professor Klug’s office.

Update–6/2/2016: The LAPD Chief Beck just announced on KTLA that a “kill list” was found within Mainak Sarkar’s home. This list had the name of William Klug, a different professor at UCLA (who is safe), and Ashley Hasti, the ex-girlfriend of Mainak. Read more on that list below.

Who Was Mainak Sarkar?

Mainak was a mechanical engineering graduate student at UCLA. He had a reportedly strained relationship with Professor Klug and at one time used to work for Klug. According to a blog being attributed to Sarkar, Professor Klug had stolen code that Sarkar wrote and gave it to another student.

Sarkar had an extensive educational career.Sarkar first graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, completing a degree in Aerospace Engineering on the year 2000. Then, he would begin to work for Infosys LTd. in Bangalore, India, for a year until 2001. After arriving in the United States, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Texas from 2002 to 2003. In 2005, he graduated from Stanford University with a Masters in Aeronautics and Astronautics. Also in 2005 to 2007, Sarkar worked as a software developer at Lucid Technologies.

Kill List

When police searched the home of Mainak Sarkar, they found a kill list that contained three different names. One of the names on the list was William Klug, who is now dead. The second name was that of a woman who lived in Minnesota is now known to be Ashley Hasti. Ashley was found dead in her home when police followed up on her name.

The third name was that of another UCLA professor (who is apparently safe).

The LAPD stated that Mainak drove from Los Angeles to Minnesota, where he killed this unknown woman. Police haven’t found the vehicle yet, but the license plate number is Minnesota plate 720KTW.

Some believe that the woman found dead was Mainak’s ex-girlfriend, Ashley Hasti.

Who Was William Klug?

William Scott Klug was an engineering professor at UCLA. According to the Klug Reasearch Group website, “Mainak Sarkar, ME Ph.D.” is listed as one of the people involved in the research group.

Elon Musk Gives Pretty Good Theory On Why We’re Living In The Matrix

Elon Musk Ancestor Simulations

Billionaire genius and outside-the-box thinker Elon Musk had some interesting thoughts about your life during his Re/code conference yesterday. Musk stated that despite how much you may think you’re in control of your life, the reality is that you’re living in The Matrix or some sort of advanced computer game.

“The chance that we are not living in a computer simulation is “one in billions,” Elon told journalist Josh Topolsky.

Obviously we suggest listening to the exact words and explanation that Elon uses, but the dumbed down version is that since human technology has advanced so greatly in the past forty years, at an almost exponential rate, it would be logical to assume that in 10,000 years from now humanity would have created some seriously realistic simulations. Musk then continues to say that we should hope that this a computer simulation, because that would mean humanity has survived long enough to create these “ancestor simulations.”

Here’s his full explanation:

And for reading purposes, here’s his argument:

Now, 40 years later, we have photorealistic, 3D simulations with millions of people playing simultaneously, and it’s getting better every year. Soon we’ll have virtual reality, augmented reality.

If you assume any rate of improvement at all, then the games will become indistinguishable from reality, even if that rate of advancement drops by a thousand from what it is now. Then you just say, okay, let’s imagine it’s 10,000 years in the future, which is nothing on the evolutionary scale.

So given that we’re clearly on a trajectory to have games that are indistinguishable from reality, and those games could be played on any set-top box or on a PC or whatever, and there would probably be billions of such computers or set-top boxes, it would seem to follow that the odds that we’re in base reality is one in billions.

Tell me what’s wrong with that argument. Is there a flaw in that argument? [source]

William Klug Photos

William Scott Klug was a UCLA engineering professor, father, and little league coach who was murdered by Mainak Sarker on June 1 with a 9mm pistol. After William’s death, Mainak killed himself in Professor Klug’s office.

Known as “Bill” to his friends, he was a teacher in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Among his duties a graduate professor was running a computational biomechanics research group, of which Mainak was member of.

According to the Klug Research Group’s website, they studied “problems at the interface of mechanics and biology. Using theoretical and computational techniques mostly from continuum mechanics and molecular biophysics, we aim to understand how the physical properties of biological structures and materials are involved in biological function from molecular and cellular scales upward.”

William Scott Klug UCLA Professor

William Scott Klug, a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering professor at UCLA, was murdered by Mainak Sarkar, a student of his. Mainak killed Professor Scott in Scott’s office in UCLA with a 9mm pistol, then killed himself. The shooting shut down the entire school for a couple of hours before it was learned that it was a contained incident.

Who Was William Klug?

William Klug was first and foremost a father and husband. He leaves behind a wife, a daughter, and a son. He was beloved within the El Segundo, CA community where he lived.

A GoFundMe page, set up to assist his immediate family and help pay for college, explains that Will was also a little league coach.

As a professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, William also headed up a research group that concentrated on the study of Computational Biomechanics at UCLA.

What Happened?

On June 1st, 2016, a 911 call from UCLA was made. The call reported multiple gun shots heard within .

We now know that’s when Mainak entered Professor Klug’s office within Engineering Building 4 and killed him with a 9 millimeter pistol. Moments later, Mainak turned the gun on himself and committed suicide.

Police would later recover a suicide note and gun at the scene, but not before the whole UCLA campus was shut down for two hours.

Why Did It Happen?

Professor Klug’s murder happened because Mainak Sarkar was a deranged individual.

That being said, if you’re looking for a motive, it’s believed that Mainak wrote a blog article earlier in the year about Professor Klug. In that blog post on LongDarkTunnelBlog, Mainak wrote that he believed Klug had stolen code from him and attributed it to another student.

Best Sports Games of 2016

When you buy a great sports game, what you’re actually getting is an obsession. There’s no better way to live out your athletic fantasies than by controlling your heroes, anticipating future matchups and rewriting history. Today’s sports simulations nail the most realistic details of every aspect of big-time sports, from the action in the heat of competition to front office and administrative tasks. Here are my picks for the best sports games out there for current-gen systems.

Here’s a look at the best current-gen RPGs available right now:

5. Madden NFL 16

Publisher: EA Sports
Developer: EA Tiburon
Platform: PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360

Lots of gamers complain about the old reliable Madden and how it doesn’t change much with each annual update, but those same guys are up all night lost in GM mode and improving their online ranking in online matchups. Sure, the game sticks to the same formula year after year, but it nails what matters and stays consistent.

ORDER: Madden NFL 16 here

4. FIFA 16

Publisher: EA Sports
Developer: EA Canada
Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC

For the better part of a decade, FIFA reigned supreme over the sports scene. Now bitten by the stagnation bug, the series remains a solid, if uninspired, take on the beautiful game. Its haul of licensed teams and players manage to help the latest entry maintain its wild popularity.

ORDER: FIFA 16 here

3. MLB The Show 16

Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Developer: SCE San Diego Studio
Platforms: PS4, PS3

The only way to play out your MLB dreams is on the PS4 — and, to a lesser extent, in the nerfed PS3 version. Developers continue to push the game forward in meaningful ways, adding a time-slowing feature this season to replicate the feel of a pro in the zone. Excellent career and GM modes help the game hit for the cycle.

ORDER: MLB The Show 16 here

2. Pro Evolution Soccer 2016

Publisher: Konami
Developer: PES Productions
Platforms: Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, PC

After years of struggling to find its footing, this was the year PES managed to topple its rival. Innovations in passing, shooting, ball control and strategy shifting pair with ridiculously detailed visuals to make this the soccer game to compare all others to. The only problem is the lack of real teams and players compared to FIFA.

1. NBA 2K16

Publisher: 2K Sports
Developer: Visual Concepts
Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC

Now that we are deep into the playoffs, NBA 2K16 is only rising in popularity.

A couple months ago, these rap inspired jerseys from Patso Dmitrov made their rounds on the internet, and they predictable blew up. I mean, just look at these things. Straight fire emojis.

We got Drake’s Views, Chance The Rapper’s Acid Rap, Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange, Nas’ Illmatic, Future’s Purple Reign, and Freddie Gibbs and Madlib’s Piñata. See, told you, straight fire. The Drake Views jersey is available for pre-order today on Dmitrov’s website.

So, Dmitrov did what any intelligent, capitalistic person would do — he put them up for sale. In an interview with Complex, Dmitrov said:

“The demand for the jerseys was crazy. I received over 200 emails in less than 24 hours with people asking me how and where can they get one. At that time I had no plan to actually make them, but after seeing how much people wanted them, I decided to try and see what I can do to make it happen… It took me some time to get in contact with the right people, who backed me up 100 percent, but fortunately for me, I did and here we are today.”

Dmitrov, the creative director of Bread&Butter, said his original designs were much more detailed, but he had to strip them down as to not feature any exclusive logos that were owned by the artists.

While Dmitrov loves all of his work, he singles out one particular jersey as his favorite, Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange:

“The album obviously plays a role, because I truly love that album, but I think the simplicity of it is what puts it on top of my list,” he said. “I mostly wear plain T-shirts and clothes in general, and for me personally that is the one I would enjoy wearing the most. It’s purely based on my personal taste and what I would feel best about wearing myself.

You can purchase and preorder the jerseys on Dmitrov’s website here.

Ashley Hasti photos

Ashley Hasti was the girlfriend of Mainak Sarkar, the UCLA gunman who killed Professor William Klug. CNN is now reporting that she was murdered by Mainak a day before he travelled to Los Angeles, killing Klug. According to Facebook, the two broke up some a short time ago.

After the LAPD found Mainak’s dead body in Professor Klug’s office, they found a suicide note which led them to search his residence in Minnesota.

At Mainak’s home they found a “kill list.” There were three names on that kill list, including the name of Professor Klug, a second UCLA professor (who is safe), and the name of a Minnesota woman we now know is Ashley. When police searched Ashley’s home, they found that she was dead.

From CNN Minnesota:

The Brooklyn Park Police Department says it responded at about 12:34 a.m. Thursday to the 2400 block of Pearson Parkway after a request from Los Angeles police to do a welfare check related to Wednesday’s murder-suicide.

Now, if you actually care about the story, here’s what happened. A Wisconsin teena … actually, wait. Let’s look at it again …

34DA877000000578-0-image-m-10_1464872348104

Okay. Done laughing? Let’s get to the facts. A Wisconsin teenager, Anthony J. Zingale, was photographed hysterically, hilariously crying in his mugshot after getting popped for an alleged sexual assault at a party where he drunkenly threatened to cut a woman with a kitchen knife if she didn’t have sex with him while exposing himself.
The victim told the police that she was using the bathroom in her home when Zingale walked in wielding a knife, all while exposing himself from the waist down.

According to the woman:

He pressed the knife to her neck and said he would cut her if she didn’t have sex with him

Zingale is facing charges for first degree sexual assault and for carrying a concealed weapon, and could face up to 40 years in prison if convicted of the charges. At this time, it is unclear if he is still being held at the Sheboygan County Detention Center or if he has been granted bail.

ashley masti

Ashley Masti, the former girlfriend of the UCLA shooter Mainak Sarkar, was found dead in her Minnesota apartment.

Police say the woman, identified as Ashley Masti, was named on a note found after Wednesday’s incident at UCLA, which led authorities back to a Minnesota apartment. The note also instructed officers to “check on the cat.”

The Brooklyn Park Police Department says it responded to the residence of 2400 block of Pearson Parkway at about 12:34 a.m. on Thursday after a request from Los Angeles police to do a welfare check related to Wednesday’s murder-suicide.

When officers arrived to residence, they found the woman who was dead from an apparent gunshot wound. They also found a “kill list” inside the home. Authorities claim these are early indications that this incident happened before the murder-suicide at UCLA. The woman has been identified by a neighbor as Ashley Hasti.

Authorities say a “kill list” was found at Sarkar’s Minnesota house, which included the names of the his two victims and another UCLA professor, who fortunately was not harmed. Authorities say they believe Sarkar drove from Minnesota to California, but they cannot yet find his car. The vehicle, a 2003 Nissan Sentra, has not been located. The vehicle has a Minnesota license plate 720-KTW.

This UCLA Professor Didn’t Cancel The Exams, Even Though She Was Locked In Her Own Office

By now you’ve probably read extensive coverage of the tragic murder-suicide at UCLA yesterday, including details on the shooter, Maianak Sarkar; the victim, Professor William Klug; and the third victim, Ashley Hasti, who was discovered today.

You also probably knew that the entire UCLA campus was on lockdown during those first few hours, with students literally barring themselves into classrooms with whatever they could get their hands on to keep the active shooter from killing them. I mean, in the photo above you can even see the note cards a student dropped in an attempt to flee for their lives.

But if you were in Professor Vivian Lew’s Statistics lecture, you’d know that an insane murderer wasn’t a good enough excuse to miss an exam. In fact, if you were holed up in a fortified classroom, it was your job to leave (who does the LAPD think they are?) and find a computer to take her exam.

From Campus Reform:

“This is what I will do, you can take the exam anywhere today, not in Boelter,” Professor Vivian Lew wrote to her students in an email obtained by Campus Reform. “Unfortunately, you need to take it between 11-11:50 Section 1A and 1 pm-1:50pm Section 1B.”

“I am locked in my office now and cannot leave[;] my building is under lockdown,” she wrote.

Nonetheless, Lew encouraged her students to leave safety so that they could find a computer to complete their exams remotely.

“So leave this area if you are in [it] and find a computer. If you cannot take it at 11 am, I can reschedule you for 1 pm,” she ordered.

Here’s a screenshot of that email.

Of course, it didn’t take much time for Vanessa to completely backtrack on her tough stance. Roughly translated, it goes along the lines of “Hurr durr, I didn’t know it was such a big deal guys! There’s actually a funny Chinese proverb about this kind of thing. Your families love you!”

The NBA Finals kick off on June 2, 2016 at 9 PM EST. All seven of the games will be airing on ABC.

The 2016 NBA Finals is destined to be one of the classics. A rematch of last year’s Championship, Lebron’s Cleveland Cavaliers  will be taking on Steph Curry’s record setting 73-win Golden State Warriors. Steph Curry, the reigning two-time MVP, led the Warriors to a win in the Western Conference Finals over the Oklahoma City Thunder in a thrilling 7 game series. Lebron James led the Cavs to a 4-2 series win over the Torono Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals.

In last season’s matchup, the Warriors beat the Cavaliers in six games, however this year will be much different. Last year, Lebron was essentially playing by himself, as both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love were out with injuries.

This will Curry’s second straight finals appearance, and Lebron’s sixth straight appearance, an NBA record. Both teams were the #1 seed in their respective conferences, with the Cavs leading the East at 57-25, and the Warriors paced the West with a record setting 73-9 season.

Matthew Dellavadova, the backup point guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers, just signed a shoe deal with Chinese shoe company Peak Sports. After leaving Nike, Matthew joins the ranks of players like Dwight Howard, Tony Parker, and George Hill.

Although specifics of the deal haven’t yet been worked, out Delly revealed on Twitter that the partnership will last a total of three years. He also released this extremely dry video. You’d think that a player who (with all the respect in the world) really doesn’t deserve a deal would bring some of his personality into the whole thing. But nope… He’s just reading the cards. Watch it below.

In all seriousness, we’re not going to hate on the dude. We’re genuinely happy for him. Now here’s the good news.

If you’re interested in copping a pair of Delly 1’s, Peak is hoping to have the shoes released before the Summer Olympics–hoping to cash in on the hype he’ll have playing for Team Australia. And make no mistake about it, there are a ton of people who want in on these shoes. While I could easily link some tweets about people getting excited for them, I’d much rather show you some ideas of what people think they’ll look like.
