Cinco De Mayo is a Mexican holiday that Americans have somehow turned into yet another reason to heavily drink. Think of the summer version of St. Patrick’s Day.

Cinco De Mayo is a holiday held on May 5th of every year to remember Mexican Army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.  In the United States (of course) Cinco de Mayo is sometimes mistaken to be Mexico’s Independence Day—the most important national holiday in Mexico—which is celebrated on September 16. Also in the United States, commercial interests have capitalized on the celebration, advertising Mexican products and services, with an emphasis on alcoholic beverages, foods, and music.

So let’s celebrate a Mexican holiday by doing something Americans do best – turning it into a meme!

Everyone has more or less been freaking out about this gorgeous girl – Lily – in these AT&T commercials. And honestly, I can’t blame them. Not only is she gorgeous, but she has quite the interesting background.

Milana Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Yes, that USSR. She’s an actress, comedian, writer, and producer. She’s Jewish, and because of that religion, moved to West Hollywood when she was three years old to escape religious persecution. Which is amazing for two reasons: A) the obvious courage and will it takes to escape religious persecution, and B), moving to West Hollywood of all places. Even more amazingly so, here is a picture of Milana as a little girl, participating in an interview with ABC after just coming to the United States:

Two years after arriving in the United States, she was acting in Barbie commercials for Mattel. However, it wasn’t in pursuit of a childhood dream to be an actress, but due to her family’s financial problems.

When she grew older, she briefly attended Beverly Hills High School, but would eventually drop out. However, she earned her GED, and then majored in communications at The University of California. While in college, she also received training with the improv comedy group Upright Citizens Brigade.

After college, she would go on to partner up with friend Stevie Nelson to start the YouTube comedy channel Live Prude Girls. This channel spawned the highly successful web series Let’s Talk About Something More Interesting.

As her career progressed, she starred in numerous College Humor videos, and had small bit part roles in both television and films, including in Life Happens.

Since then, Miliana has kept busy. After visiting Greece in 2016, where she met refugee families who were fleeing Syria, Milana co-founded the social media movement #CantDoNothing, which was done in an effort to spotlight the European migrant crisis.

When is the world going to realize that when you cheat, something really awful is going to happen to you? If my boyfriend cheated on me, my crazy family would be after that poor guy in a heartbeat. That’s what family is for, right? Torturing the sh*t out of someone who wronged you? That’s how it went on The Sopranos and I’m totally cool with it.

And this guy is on the exact same page. After finding out his daughter’s fiance was cheating on her, he paid the guy a nice little visit. Despite the fiance trying to explain the situation — AKA desperately pleading not to get his a** kicked — the dad didn’t want to hear it. Instead, he threw several intense punches to the guy’s face and slammed him over a porch. Did I mention the dad is literally 17 times bigger than the fiance? Dude didn’t stand a chance. Sorry kid, but this is what you get. Keep it in your pants.

New Zealand TV anchors on the show Story were forced to apologize to fans after a news segment about an “au naturel” dining event revealed a bit too much to viewers. You’d think that the cameramen would be ready during a story like that, but apparently it took just one waitress in the buff to completely throw off their cool.

To us, the most ridiculous part about the whole story is the reporter who’s on the scene acting like he doesn’t want to look anywhere but up. Like, dude, who are you fooling here? Your wife? Your girlfriend? You’re on the job. This is just what you have to do. There are far worse places your producer could have sent you than a restaurant being served by strippers.

That’s right! They weren’t even waitresses.

Somehow the Royal Norwegian Navy has convinced Thor to join their armed forces, because there you can’t tell me that Lasse L. Matberg is not the Norse god of thunder and lightning. Lasse (as he’s known to mortals) is a 30-year-old Lieutenant stationed in Stavanger, the fourth-most populated municipality in Norway.

In addition to poorly hiding his true identity from the world, Lasse is involved with Tough Mudder and some modeling stints. He also spends a ton of time in the gym, because a physique like his doesn’t just happen overnight.

It’s kind of a shame that naval warfare doesn’t involving the boarding and raiding of enemy ships anymore, because this guy is a Viking through and through. Just one look at this guy waiting on his deck to board your ship, and you’re throwing yourself off bridge to avoid his wrath.

Making an online dating profile is one of the most annoying things in the world. Not only is it long and tedious, but you have to come up with answers to questions you’ve never thought of before. What’s the most random thing I’ve ever done in my life? I have no idea! And why would anyone really care about that?!

But I guess I’d rather get that question than the one OkCupid is currently under fire for. The popular dating site is receiving a ton of backlash after asking singletons if they thought people with low IQs should stop reproducing. Yes, really.

Not the smartest move they could make, but I kind of see where they’re going with it. Some people just shouldn’t have kids, low IQ or not! Unfortunately not everyone is as understanding as I am.

Campaigners from the charity MenCap bashed the site, accusing them being “offensive towards people with a learning disability.” Good point. The site immediately took the question down, but screenshots are forever and people are pissed.

Amy Clarke, a Mencap spokesperson who also has a learning difficulty, explained her disappointment: “I am very upset that OkCupid could ask a question about whether people with a disability should be allowed to have children.This is not OK. It is shocking and offensive. As by asking the question, they are making it seem like it is OK to say yes, which it is not. If they had asked the same question about people of different races or sexuality there would be outrage and it should be the same for people with a learning disability.”

She continued: “I am not sure if I want to have children, but I do want to find someone to settle down with. I am single and I know dating can be difficult, so it does not help when dating websites ask offensive questions. It makes me worried to use them. I think OkCupid should apologise immediately for this and remove it from their website.”

OkCupid has yet to comment, but we’re sure a lot of people are getting fired right now. Sucks!

If you have eyes, you know the one good thing about Donald Trump is his incredibly gorgeous wife Melania Trump. The GOP presidential hopeful really lucked out on this one, and everyone has noticed. Especially MSNBC host Chris Matthews, who was caught blatantly ogling her on live TV.

A hot mic picked up the following comment from Matthews while Donald and his hot wife walked onstage for his Indiana primary victory speech: “Did you see her walk? Runway walk. My God is that good. I could watch that runway show.”

When asked about the comments a spokesperson for Melania Trump told CNN:

Reached by email, a spokesperson for Melania Trump described her as “an accomplished businesswoman and entrepreneur in her own right,” and said it was “unfortunate to see the continuous inaccuracies and misrepresentations made by the media of Mrs. Trump as anything less than the independently successful woman that she is.”

Needless to say, you can’t blame the guy. We’d also watch that runway show! But we don’t say it on live TV in front of thousands of people during a news broadcast so… there’s that. Next time Chris, just wait until you’re in the privacy of your own home… unwired.

I’ve officially lost faith in humanity. Christal McGee, a teenager from Georgia, is blaming her near fatal car accident on her Snapchat speed filter, claiming that the social media platform “encouraged” her to take a photo while going 107 miles per hour.

Just… stop. This is why you stay in school.

Last September McGee crashed her car along Tara Boulevard in southern Clayton County. She injured herself, three passengers, and permanently injured the driver of the car she crashed into. Passenger Heather McCarty says the teenager had her phone in her hand moments before the crashed into the other car.

“I’m like, ‘What are you doing? Slow down!” McCarty told WSB-TV Atlanta. “I asked her, ‘Did that keep up with the speed of the car?’ And she said, ‘Yeah.’ She was trying to hit 100 miles an hour and post it on Snapchat.”

So instead of suing Cristal and her family, Wentworth Maynard, the other driver, is suing Snapchat. The 55-year-old man was in a coma after the accident and spent five weeks in intensive care. He also suffered a permanent brain injury and needs constant care from his wife.

According to the news affiliate, passenger Heather McCarty will testify as a witness in the lawsuit.

McCarty plans to be a witness in a lawsuit the Maynard family recently filed against Snapchat, saying it encourages drivers to use that speedometer filter, by offering points and trophies.

The suit also names McGee, who could not be reached for comment.

Snapchat sent Channel 2 a written statement saying: “No Snap is more important than someone’s safety. We actively discourage our community from using the speed filter while driving, including by displaying a “Do NOT Snap and Drive” warning message in the app itself.”

The statement continues, “The complaint filed in this case is not factually accurate. Among other things, Snapchat has never offered in-app trophies or additional points for using the speed filter.”

Am I the only person who thinks this is completely insane? Blaming Snapchat over a car accident? The girl was going over 107mph… she should not have a license nor a phone. Nor the option to use the social media platform as a copout for her poor decision making skills.

KFC tries to embody their slogan “Finger Licking Good,” but is their newest stunt taking the phrase a little too far? Today we learned from the fast food restaurants’ advertiser Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong that the Colonel would be selling edible nail polish. From AdWeek:

Ogilvy & Mather worked with food technologists at McCormick, the spice company that provides KFC’s secret mix of 11 secret herbs and spices, to crate the nail polishes for KFC Hong Kong. The polish flavors are sourced from natural ingredients and based on the brand’s two favorite recipes, Original and Hot & Spicy.

KFC is asking their fans to choose between the two flavors “Hot & Spicy” or “Original Recipe on their Chinese Facebook page. It’s certainly an interesting ad campaign and we’re big fans of companies doing weird stuff to draw attention to their product.

Personally, I’m awful when it comes to biting my nails so I’ll be staying far away from this. But if this nail polish means that more people will be putting their fingers in their mouths, count me onboard.

And yes, they even made a music video to promote the idea.

The 30-year-old supermodel can be found in skimpy bikini close-ups for her ad Bar for Hoodies, her personal swimwear line. Sure, a hot girl in a teeny tiny bikini can be offensive to some (we guess?) but there was one scene in particular that really set the TV execs off: an amazing close-up of her perfectly round butt.

The censored ad for her own swimwear line Hoodies, shows the Israeli stunner frolicking on the beach, getting changed behind a car door and includes close ups of her pert bottom and ample cleavage.

The authorities for Israeli television and radio have deemed that close-ups of her backside and a segment in which she appears to be nude must be deleted. And even with the edits the racy commercial can only appear after 10 p.m.

Johnny Manziel went to court today to face the domestic abuse charges filed against him by Colleen Crowley. It was a media circus, even though it lasted for all of a couple of minutes–from the time he arrived to the time he left.

I’m sure Johnny Manziel is pretty fed up with all the coverage around his antics/crimes, and he might have showed how he felt today while in court. What I’m trying to say is that I think Johnny Football here flipped off the cameras.

If he wasn’t to blame for the serious downward spiral he’s put himself in, I wouldn’t blame him for his reaction. But the truth is that he needs to shape up.

Flipping off the cameras isn’t going to give him an extra time or punishment, but it’s not the sign he’s making steps in the right direction.

Well, this is terrifying. In a video recently uploaded to LiveLeak, a Tennessee woman catches her boyfriend cheating and goes after in hopes of getting justice. But instead of getting the swift smack to the face she presumably wished she did, she gets run over by the other woman while trying to get away from the girlfriend. Ouch.

Sounds f*cked up, right? That’s because it is. Not only did this chick find out her boyfriend was a lying scumbag, but then she gets run over by his side piece?! The world is cruel and dark and really, really unfair.

In the below video, the woman finds her boyfriend cheating on her and goes after the other woman. After initially taking things out on her boyfriend, the woman moves onto the woman, who she begins throwing things at her car in an attempt to smash her window. But before she can do any real damage, the woman runs the girlfriend over, leaving her with a badly broken leg. Sounds like they should take this fight to Jerry Springer.

The shocking incident was caught on a bystander’s cell phone and uploaded to the streaming service shortly after. It’s one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. Check out the insanity for yourself below.

The Story Behind #RapedAtSpelman

On May 2nd a Twitter account called @RapedAtSpelman was created. The anonymous account detailed an alleged gang rape by four Morehouse students. The first tweet was released a bit after 6 p.m. that Monday.

The anonymous student continued on with her story, providing horrifying details of what happened to her through a string of tweets.

I went to a party with my friends there were alot of people there and it was really fun so we decided to drink with the upperclassmen. I was drunk but that doesn’t mean I forgot about what happened. I went to the bathroom upstairs to throw up and when I opened the door I was surrounded by 4 Morehouse students who took me to another room and took turns raping me. I was in shock about what had happened.

After it happened I went to find my friends who had already left the party so I had to walk back to campus by myself. When I got there I went to public safety to do a report and I was sent to the hospital for a rape kit. It took Spelman a month to get back to me about my case.

When I got to the meeting with the Dean and Public Safety they asked me what was I wearing, why did I seperate from my friends, & why was I drinking under age. The Dean also said that Spelman & Morehouse are brother & sister so I should give them a pass. I never felt so worthless in my life. I got so depressed that I wanted to take my own life and I started to self-harm. I don’t want to be at a school that does not make me feel safe and wants to silence me. So I would like to say goodbye to Spelman and to the amazing people I’ve met along the way.

The tweets continued with a lengthy farewell to her fellow Spelman students. The school is a private women’s college and Morehouse is a nearby men’s college. Both are historically black and considered to be brother-sister schools.

Reactions to #RapedAtSpelman

Since the account started circulating, the president of Spelman University urged the nameless victim to come forward, saying “our hearts go out to you… Please identify yourself to me, so that I may offer you my full support and assistance.”

She elaborated: “I know that members of our Spelman community join me in expressing heartbreak and outrage over the incidents and experiences recounted on Twitter.”

According to NBC, the president of Morehouse said the school’s Office of Campus Safety has been “activated” to fully investigate the claims “with the limited information” available.

“Sexual assault is a heinous form of violence and it is a stark contradiction to Morehouse College at its best,” John Silvanus Wilson Jr. said in a statement. “The information anonymously shared on Twitter was our very first indication of this incident. Now that we are aware of these allegations, we are determined to pursue the investigation to the fullest extent possible.”

Four Radford students and Pi Kappa Phi fraternity brothers face criminal hazing charges after an incident left one of their students (likely a pledge) in the hospital for five days. The incident occurred last month and the university still hasn’t released the name of the victim.

Four Radford University students are left facing hazing charges after their fellow classmate was hospitalized for five days last month. The hospitalization followed an unknown incident the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.

Fraternity brothers Jesse Vaughn Leasure, 20, Evan Ross Satterley, 22, Andrew Morgan Piccione, 20, and Theodore Eugene Anna, 22, face one misdemeanor count of hazing, while Leasure and Satterley are also been charged with aiding and abetting underage possession of alcohol.

Unfortunately for two — Satterley and Anna — graduation will also be put on hold; university spokesman Joe Carpenter announced Thursday that degrees will be held until the school completes their own investigation.

“Radford University takes these allegations seriously, will investigate thoroughly the facts of the situation and will hold participants accountable for their actions,” Carpenter wrote in an email to The Roanoke Times.

The university’s chapter of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity has since been suspended and the victimized student’s name was never given, nor were details that sparked the initial investigation.
