After an administrator stalked her life on Instagram, Samantha Chirichella had her employment offering at Consolidated Edison revoked due to a racy Instagram photo from three years ago.

Three years. Let that sink in. Granted, I’ve stalked ex-boyfriends and first dates via Instagram and sometimes went all the way back to high school, but I had a lot of time on my hands! And was sick in love, so I had an excuse. Con Ed on the other hand, does not. Who cares if she’s a porn star on the side? Will Con Ed really suffer from that?! Hell no. Whatever she was doing beforehand shouldn’t matter unless she’s doing it at her place of work, especially in this case.

So what was all the fuss about? This steamy photo:

WTF is going on here? I was confused for about 15 minutes until it finally clicked in my head — you’re looking at a 69 with nipples, if that helps you at all.

Authorities claim a background check led to the photo and employers found the material inappropriate, but the 26-year-old Long Islander insists she was denied employment because of her sexual orientation, which she confirmed in the comments section of the post. She also claims that the photo is artistic, not pornographic. Here, here!

“The work was no more sexually explicit that the works of DaVinci, Titian or Michaelangelo, and less explicit that photos published in Sports Illustrated,” her lawyer, Arthur Schwartz, says in court papers, according to the New York Daily News.

Con Ed has yet to respond, but comparing your boob pic to something crafted by DaVinci shows serious couth. They should hire her back just for that.

In a move that sounds like the premise of a science fiction thriller, Bioquark, an American biotech company, was recently granted ethical permission by the U.S. government to see if it would be possible to regenerate the brains of dead people.

And nothing about that seems like a bad idea.

The project—called the ReAnima Project—will consist of 20 patients, all of whom have been declared “clinically dead” as a result of traumatic brain injuries. While these human vegetables are kept hooked up to life support machines, scientists will attempt to stimulate the brain by injecting stem cells, peptides, lasers and and nerve stimulation techniques which have been shown to bring patients out of comas. Scientists believe that the damaged history of these brain cells could be erased somehow, effectively jump-starting life. They got the idea, like most great ideas, from observing salamanders.

Really.

According to the company’s mission statement:

Regeneration and repair are widespread phenomena in the biological kingdom, but the capacity varies among species. Both amphibians and invertebrates can replace lost or damaged organs and tissues that are identical in structure and function to the original, regenerating a wide variety of tissues including spinal cords, limbs, hearts, eyes, and even parts of their brains. In a similar fashion, many of these species possess fascinating skills for repairing and reversing cellular and genetic damage.

The first stage of these experiments will be a “proof of concept” set to take place at Anupam Hospital in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand India.

“This represents the first trial of its kind and another step towards the eventual reversal of death in our lifetime,” said Dr. Ira Pastor, Bioquark’s CEO in an interview with The Telegraph. “We hope to see results within the first two to three months. It is a long term vision of ours that a full recovery in such patients is a possibility, although that is not the focus of this first study – but it is a bridge to that eventuality.”

That sounds terrifying, but also f*cking awesome. Could the country be overrun with flesh-eating zombies in a matter of month? Possibly. But at least you’ve watched enough of The Walking Dead to figure out what needs to be done.

The comic book-style visuals and the snappy writing both recall the Borderlands glory days, which is both a joy and a nagging drawback. A connected car is nothing if it doesn’t make your driving safer. So the speaker device that clips to your visor has three buttons: one for making a bluetooth phone call, one for calling hum concierge service and mechanics, and one for calling emergency services (hopefully you’ll never use that button).

Safety

We already mentioned the emergency services call button, but hum also offers a ton of other features to keep both you and your car safe. The tracking services within the car not only alert you when your car has been stolen (and reports that to the police immediately), you can also set “boundaries” for when you lend your car out. According to a new study published in European Urology, scientists confirmed that men who ejaculate on a regular basis have a reduced rick of getting prostate cancer. Pretty amazing considering how common the cancer is and how easy it can be to prevent.

So how did researchers find their data? They kept tabs on nearly 30,000 men for 20 years. That’s a lot of semen to oversee, but if it’s in the name of science, we’re let it slide.

While this is far from the first report to boast similar findings, according to Pink News, it’s one of the strongest.

The scientists found that men in the 20s who settled for self-love at least 21 times a month were 19% less likely to develop prostate cancer than those who only did it seven times a month or less. Stats were even better for dudes in their 40s; men ages 40-49 who had a regular JO sesh were 22% less likely to get diagnosed.

So there you have it — one good thing about being in your 40s. The story also claimed that legit intercourse could produce similar results, but let’s be real — you’re not getting laid 21 times a month no matter what you say, so don’t be ashamed. Now you can officially silence those preachy vegans — you’re doing your fair share!

We’ve all done dumb things when drunk, but have you ever done anything as dumb as Monique Vanderhulst? The 19-year-old Bowling Green State University student was arrested on multiple charges over the weekend after she reportedly stole a catering truck while completely obliterated.

The incident was reported at 6:35 p.m. Saturday, which is actually shocking when you think about it. I love a good day drinking fest, but stealing a catering truck in broad daylight is an awful idea, even when you’re intoxicated. I guess when you have burgers, mozzarella sticks, and cheese fries on the mind, bad decisions are bound to be made.

According to police, the truck belonged to All Occasions Catering and was left running while the owner was inside of a nearby building. Naturally the driver is partially at fault here — why you’d leave a giant food truck running near a bunch of drunk college kids is beyond me.

The vehicle later pulled into BGSU Parking Lot A, where Bowling Green police conducted a stop of the truck.

The vehicle had reportedly been observed striking a vehicle and running over curbs in another BGSU parking lot, and losing contents.

Vanderhulst reportedly admitted to police that she had been drinking that day, and was reportedly found to be in possession of a fake Illinois ID which said she was 21.

Vanderhulst was arrested and charged with felony receiving stolen property, OVI/refusal, falsification, underage under the influence, and prohibited acts following the incident. Presumably she did not get the food she so desperately needed, which is the real tragedy here. Better luck next time, Monique.

Three days later he writes in a slew of texts to Lima; ‘so beautiful,’ ‘love that pic of you!!,’ those eyes,’ ‘are u thinking right there about us making love?,’ ’cause i am…,’ ‘i will make love to you over and over so that we can wear u out and sleep:),’ ‘now that i saw that old photo shoot of you…’

The conversation then drops off but the next day Henry writes; ‘i didnt mind,’ ‘tho i would like you to [redacted].’

He then sent emojis of an excited face, a couple with a heart and a hand making a slapping gesture.

Lima responds by saying; ‘Ok’ with three kissing face emojis. ‘As long as I’m not [redacted] u while your asleep’ followed by a laughing with tears emoji and a winking emoji with the tongue hanging out.

Lima then adds; ‘You’ll wake up’ with a blushing face emoji.

Henry reponds to this by texting; ‘i would nottttttt,’ ‘mind being,’ ‘[redacted] by u.’

He added emojis of three shocked monkey faces after writing that.

Lima writes back; ‘ok same for me u can wake me up for sex anytime.’

Henry responds; ‘we have that privilege to each other.’

Nothing better than a good cheating revenge story, right? It’s hilarious, actually. Just dump your girlfriend or boyfriend! Don’t go out of your way to find someone on the side. Not only is it a ton of work to juggle both people, but you will get caught. And when you do, it’s only going to get monumentally worse from there.

Case in point: this poor schmuck who got his $145, 000 Range Rover completely destroyed by his girlfriend. Sucks, but you kind of had it coming to you.

Over the course of nearly 30 years — and thanks in part to NBC’s saving grace in the early years — Will Smith has gone from nearly filing for bankruptcy to earning millions per film.

1985-1989

After actually being born and raised in West Philadelphia, Smith decided to experiment as an emcee and teamed up with Jeffrey Townes to release comedic and radio-friendly raps as the hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. The two went on to add Clarence Holmes (Ready Rock C) and released their first single “Girls Ain’t Nothin’ But Trouble” with World Up Records in 1986, a month before Smith graduated from high school.

By 1988, after their second album, the trio won the first Grammy for the rap category. Still young and unprepared for the price of fame, Smith overspent on his new lifestyle and underpaid on his income taxes. The IRS estimated he owed $2.8 million by 1989, and ended up garnished his wages and repossessed many of his belongings.

1990-1995

On the verge of bankruptcy, NBC approached Smith with the idea for a sitcom based loosely on his life. The pilot for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as a success and would continue for six seasons. It took Smith three seasons to pay his back taxes, but by the end he had solidified his acting career and set a goal for himself to become “the biggest actor in the world.”

During his stint on the show, Smith made his first feature film appearance in Where the Day Takes You, earning him $50,000 in 1991. He would go on to star in additional movies, and by 1995 he was making $2 million in Bad Boys.

1996-1999

Between 1996 to 1998, Smith fought aliens and nineteenth century “bad guys,” in movies like Independence Day, Men in Black and Wild, Wild West. He would go from making $5 million per movie to $14 million by the end of 1999 with the release of Enemy of the State.

2000-2008

With the new millennium, Smith began earning upwards of $10 million per movie. By 2001, he salary for Ali was a whopping $21 million. With Men in Black II he earned $20 million with a 10 percent gross, and he saw 20 percent of the gross on top of his $20 million salary for Bad Boys II in 2003. Over the next five years, his salary would stay upwards of $20 million, with it topping out at $28 million for I, Robot in 2008.

2012-2016

After a four-year break, Smith returned to the silver screen in 2012 to reprise his role in in Black III, earning him his average a $20 million salary. As he prepares for his upcoming starring role as Deadshot in this summer’s’ Suicide Squad, it is expected that Smith will rake in an estimated $30 million.

Not only a satisfying capstone for the series, Uncharted 4 is as close to a console killer app as you are ever likely to find. This is the game PS4 fans have been dreaming of since they first got a glimpse of it in 2013. This is not only the biggest, boldest adventure for unflappable, wise-cracking hero Nathan Drake, it’s also the most calm and personal tale. The narrative hops back and forth between Drake’s current plight — his reuiniting with long-lost brother, Sam, who coaxes him out of treasure-hunting retirement for one final score — but to Nathan’s troubled youth, growing up as a scamp on unforgiving streets.

The timeline hopping joins with a globe-criss-crossing tale to craft a tale that’s as memorable as a blockbuster film. Previous shortcomings of the otherwise excellent series — occasionally clipped animations and dumbed-down shooting mechanics — are nowhere to be seen. This is the most polished Drake adventure yet, with a silk-smooth control system and breathlessly creative and rapid-flowing level design that make it all but impossible to put down the controller for a bathroom break, much less a nap. Hilarious, poignant dialogue melds with pitch-perfect voice and motion-capture performances that create a story that’s as exciting as the shooting. All the moving parts function so well together that as you play, you reach the passive/interactive singularity that most developers dream of but few achieve. This is both a playable movie and a game you can sit back on the couch as a friend plays and enjoy just as well.

As has always been the case with Uncharted games, the shoehorned-in multiplayer is a letdown after enjoying the thrilling campaign. That said, this is the strongest Uncharted multiplayer component yet, with just about every memorable character throughout the series returning as a playable avatar, and several weapons both memorable and obscure from the past popping back into the picture as power-ups and bonus perks. Most people who get this game won’t do it for the multiplayer, but those who put in the time will be rewarded. Naughty Dog has promised a steady stream of free updates and add-ons. There will also be some paid DLC, but that looks to be well worth forking over extra money for because it will be story-expanding single-player content.

Uncharted 4 is a game worth ditching class and calling in sick for work for. Any interruption that life trots out — short of great sex — to yank you away from the mesmerizing adventure is little more than a nagging annoyance to be brushed aside. If you’ve been disappointed with Sony’s first-party support for the console, this is the game that will erase all those concerns. You’re so immersed in the chases, shootouts and even the driving and boating sequences that it feels like you’re truly along for the ride. If this is truly Drake’s final adventure, this is one hell of a way to go out.

Star Wars Day was officially first celebrated on May 4, 2011. In fact, the holiday became so popular that starting in 2012, the next day was jokingly called “Revenge of the Fifth”, a pun on the Star Wars movie title Revenge of the Sith. It might also have something to do with that day being Cinco de Mayo, but to this day fans still like to let their “evil sides” come out the day after Star Wars Day.

Since Disney purchased Lucasfilm, creators of the Star Wars saga in 2012, Disney theme parks have joined in on the celebrations, upping the ante with Star Wars exclusive collectibles.

In 2014, even toy companies got into the game, with Hasbro taking to social media with their “Black Series” of high end toys, and Lucasfilm launching the first trailer for the animated series “Star Wars Rebels.”

As the years go by, Revenge of the Fifth is only gonna get better.

When is Star Wars Day?

Star Wars Day is on May 4th every year, playing on the catchphrase “May the Force Be With You.” The very next day, (as if one day isn’t enough), May 5th, Star Wars fans celebrate Revenge of the Fifth, reserved for those who celebrate the dark side.
