WATCH: Birdman’s Interview With The Breakfast Club Is Laugh Out Loud Funny

Birdman Breakfast Club Interview

Birdman visited Power 105‘s The Breakfast Club for an interview and things started out pretty hostile. They didn’t improve much from there.

We’re not exactly sure what the whole issue was about, but it was clear that Birdman showed up to ensure the radio crew “put some respeck” on his name. What ended up happening, though, was the complete opposite. People are now flaming Birdman for seeming like a b*tch.

And rightfully so. Check out the full interview below. It’s only like 2:30, so don’t think that you need to invest your time or anything.

First of all, if you’re going to try and seem tough do not go onto the radio with Charlamagne Tha God and hope to win that battle. It’s not going to happen. That dude has made an actual career out of torching people on the radio.

Second, why are you showing up with twenty different people? If you want to face someone like a man, you don’t need a crew of nobodies to intimidate people.

Finally, there’s no question that Birdman felt uncomfortable on the air. You can hear it in his voice. He’s trembling, shaking. If he was playing it cool and natural, you wouldn’t hear that.

CJ McCollum was just named the NBA’s 2015-2016 Most Improved Player, but he has more going for him that his basketball career. Sure, the 24-year-old might be a third-year guard for the Portland Trail Blazers and his average scoring record improved an impressive 14 points from last season, but sports critics are leaving out a huge part of McCollum’s accomplishments: his gorgeous girlfriend Elise Esposito.

The two met while students at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and have been together for a whopping three years. That’s like three years more than the average college relationship, so kudos to you two.

Aside from her good looks, Esposito obtained a Healthcare Systems Engineering degree in August 2014, proving that you really can have it all: beauty and brains. Our kind of woman.

Check out her best photos below.

Trump’s Entire Campaign Has Been BS, According to His Chief Strategist

Conspiracy theorists, rejoice! It turns out that—surprise!—the former reality star and professional Spiderman villain who’s been running for president has been putting on an act. People have had their suspicions since Donald Trump announced his candidacy back in June. They’ve ranged from the idea that Trump’s run was engineered to propel another Republican candidate into office, to Trump is only running because he’s trying to get Hilary Clinton elected.

Interesting ideas, but according to Paul Manafort, the GOP candidate’s chief strategist, they’re both run. However, they’re not too far off — Manafort confirmed on Thursday during a private meeting with members of the Republican National Convention (RNC) that he’s been playing a “part” this whole time and it’s not actually who he is.

“When he’s sitting in a room, he’s talking business, he’s talking politics in a private room, it’s a different persona,” Paul Manafort said at the RNC spring summit in Florida. A recording of this telling speech was obtained by the Associated Press and has since made its way to other major news outlets, such as the New York Times and the Washington Post

“When he’s out on the stage, when he’s talking about the kinds of things he’s talking about on the stump, he’s projecting an image that’s for that purpose,” Manafort admitted.

“I’m actually going to give Trump a little bit of credit here. He’s being candid. He’s telling us he’s lying to us,” Ted Cruz told conservative talk radio host Mark Levin. “You look at what his campaign manager says, is that this is just an act. This is just a show… When Donald talks about building a wall, when Donald talks about enforcing immigration laws, when Donald talks about, I guess, anything, that it’s all an act, a show.”

Apparently, the Trump campaign has been divided into phases, the first was to gain popular support. Now, that Trump could murder someone in broad daylight and still not lose the support of his rabid fanbase, he’ll turn his attention toward winning over the leaders of the Republican Party.

“He gets it,” said Manaport. “The part that he’s been playing is evolving into the part that now you’ve been expecting, but he wasn’t ready for because he had to first feed the first phase…You’ll start to see more depth of the person, the real person. You’ll see a real different guy.”

Only time will tell.

Prince Net Worth 2016: How Much Was Prince Worth?

Prince Rogers Nelson—known simply as “Prince”—was an American singer, songwriter, musician and actor who catapulted to fame in the late 70’s. However, Prince managed to remain relevant for decades, changing up his style almost as often as he changed his stage names, which included The Purple One, Joey Coco, Prince logo.svg and The Artist Formerly Known as Prince.

Sadly, on Thursday, April 21, it was announced that Prince had passed away

“It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57,” said his publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure.

Prince’s Net Worth as of 2016: $300 Million

Here is how Prince made his fortune…

1975 – 1984

Prince was born on June 7, 1958 in Minneapolis. His father was a musician and his mother was a jazz singer. From a young age, Prince took to music, composing his first tune “Funk Machine” on his father’s piano when he was seven years old. His professional career started in 1975 when he started to collaborate with Pepe Willie and the band 94 East, with whom he co-wrote several songs. After he created a demo tape, Prince signed a recording contract with Warner Bros. Studio at age 18. He released his first album For You on April 17, 1978.

In 1979, Prince released his second album, self-titled Prince. It went on to become No. 4 on the Billboard Top R&B/Black Albums charts, and No. 22 on the Billboard 200, going platinum. It included hits such as “Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?” and “I Wanna Be Your Lover,” which sold over a million individual copies, reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was No. 1 for two weeks on the Hot Soul Singles chart.

The very next year, Prince released the album Dirty Mind. The year after that, he released yet another album: Controversy. And, as if he wasn’t prolific enough, in 1981, Prince formed a side  band called The Time, which produced four albums between 1981 and 1990. In 1982, Prince released a double album, 1999, which sold over three million copies.

“When I first started out in the music industry, I was most concerned with freedom. Freedom to produce, freedom to play all the instruments on my records, freedom to say anything I wanted to,” he said when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.

1984 – 1987

In 1984, Prince starred in the cult film Purple Rain, a rock musical based on his own life. The movie’s album sold more than 13 million copies in the United States and spent 24 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The next year, he announced that he would stop doing live performances and music videos after the release of his next album (a vow he would break again and again). The album that followed, Around the World in a Day, was No. 1 on the Billboard’s 200 for three weeks straight. In 1986, he dropped the album Parade. The same year Prince’s band The Revolution released the album Dream Factory

1987 – 1994

Prince’s next double album, Sign “O” the Times, was released on March 31, 1987. The Black Album, which was his next work, saw Prince experiment more with a hip hop style. The 1988 album Lovesexy—his tenth studio album—was almost entirely solos and took Prince back to his R&B roots.

1991 was the year Prince’s new band, the New Power Generation, made its debut. Together they released Diamonds and Pearls and the Love Symbol Album

In 1993, Prince changed his stage name to Prince logo.svg, a combination of the symbols for male and female. The symbol, since it was unpronounceable, was soon dubbed “The Love Symbol” and Prince was called “The Artist Formerly Known as Prince.” In 1994, he released the album The Gold Experience

2000 – 2016

In 2000, “The Artist Formerly Known as Prince” became “The Artists Formerly Formerly Known as Prince,” when he went back to preforming under the name “Prince.”

In 2004, he was inducted into the inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The same year he released Musicology, which would go on to win two Grammys. The Rolling Stone magazine named Prince as the highest-earning musician in the world, with an annual income of $56.5 million.

In 2005, he come out with the album 3121In 2010, Prince was listed in TIME magazine’s annual ranking of the “100 Most Influential People in the World.”

On April 7, 2016, Prince postponed two performances, saying he had recently come down with the flu. On April 21, 2016, a 9-1-1 call was made from Prince’s Minnesota mansion, when emergency services arrived, the 57-year-old musical icon was pronounced dead. The massive outpouring of grief in the media just shows how much Prince influenced, not only pop culture, but his fans.

PSU Students Unhappy With School’s Decision To Cancel THON Canning

Penn State students were livid at the new changes that were just set in place for Penn State’s Inter Fraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance MaraTHON the next upcoming years. “Canning” weekends, where most of the donations for pediatric cancer come from, are to be phased out by THON 2019.

This past fall on the first canning trip, Vitalya “Tally” Sepot was ejected and died instantly on the scene when the car overturned on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Gloom rained over the Penn State campus at the loss of another student, and the two other canning weekends that were scheduled for last fall were cancelled.

However, this decision is going to change THON forever. THON is the biggest student run philanthropy in the world, raising up to $137,657,890.66 since THON began. Most of this money comes from the canning weekends, students and their friends drive home to all different places and stand outside of malls, coffee and bagel shops, grocery stores, intersections, etc., collecting money for the cause. This year, when two of the canning weekends were cancelled, this decreased the amount of money raised from the previous year by just over $3 million. Canning is the main source of donations and an activity that gets students motivated in raising money for THON. Without canning weekends, who knows what kind of impact this well have.

The reasons for this decision revolved around the safety procedures of canning, especially travel concerns. My thing is, however, is that people get into car accidents all of the time and not just from traveling a few hours outside of State College to can.

I understand that THON is looking in the student’s best interests and safety, but this change will cause more sick children their lives, than Penn State Students.

The obvious answer to all of these questions is “f*ck no.” Joanna Jedrzejczyk is not someone to mess with, but that didn’t stop this crazed fan from asking her to punch him in the stomach. Much to this dude’s dismay, the UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion did just that without a second thought.

Naturally, it didn’t end well for him.

Yeah buddy… that’s gonna leave a mark. Next time you want a UFC champ to punch you on your body, take a step back, think about it some more, then run for your life.

Or you’ll regret it.

Chuck Taylor All-Star II’s Are The Most Comfortable Pair of Kicks For Festival Season

Converse Festival Sneaker

Through all the trends and changes in fashion, shoes, and clothing, the one thing that’s remained perpetually classic are the Chuck Taylor All-Stars. They’re dope, simple, and work well with everything. The only knock that I’ve ever heard from people is that they’re a little uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. And if you’re at a festival or a concert, that can be a problem.

But not the Chuck Taylor All-Star II’s. Those new and improved sneakers feature an updated interior but keep the same classic look. I know that we’ve talked about them on our site before, but after getting a couple of pairs and kicking around in them, I can give them my own personal recommendation.

The insoles have completely been revamped and hold up well to dancing, jumping, and running to catch that final set before the stage closes. They’re just as iconic as their forefathers. And at only $75 they’re absolutely affordable.

A few of our Campus Ambassadors would also agree with us.

And as huge bonus, Converse also started all-weather Chuck Taylor All-Stars that feature a thin rubber cover over the whole shoe. Thin enough to let your feet breathe, but thick enough to keep the mud and the water out. You can also literally take out the sock liner and throw the shoes under the sink to wash them.

Russell Wilson Showed Off His Cannon At USC This Summer

Conner Sullivan

Again, our boy Conner Sullivan is coming through with the hot, hot, hotness.

Check him out as he dashes out on his scooter to USC’s practice field where Pro-Bowl QB Russell Wilson is throwing with some NFL WRs Paul Richardson (Seahawks #10) and Marqise Lee, plus current USC RB and track star DJ Morgan.

Since Conner’s a USC QB himself, he’s able to get on the field and shoot the breeze with these dudes. It’s a great look into how professional athletes stay at the top level while still having some fun.

Conner even gets a TD pass from Russ, who seemed like a pretty chill dude. I’ve got to admit–Conner’s videos are definitely a great watch. He’s doing a ton of cool stuff that’s making even us in NYC jealous.

Kanye West Explains Why He Watches Adult Films With The Sound Off & Yeah, It’s Weird

Kanye West is a pretty weird dude. We don’t need to tell you that, you’ve seen the Twitter rants. But after hearing him open up about his taste in porn, things got even weirder. Especially when his gorgeous wife Kim Kardashian got in the middle of it.

To no one’s surprise, West isn’t watching his wife’s debut with Ray J, but apparently the rapper is watching something — just with the sound off. WTF?!

During a recent episode of his sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian’s talk show — don’t get too attached, it was already cancelled — the 38-year-old rapper explained how he’s never watched an adult film with the sound on, ever. His reasoning is… interesting? Is that the right word?

From Us Weekly,

“I’ve never watched porn with the sound on,” the “Famous” rapper, 38, candidly revealed. “I lived with my mom in high school, then I lived in my mother-in-law’s [Kris Jenner’s] house. There’s kids next door and stuff.”

Yeezy’s wife, Kim Kardashian, who also appeared on the episode alongside pals Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, hinted at the kind of adult entertainment her hubby’s into.

“He probably watches Japanese anime porn,” the mom of North, 2, and Saint, 4 months, joked.

Wow ok, that’s not weird at all. Also, anime porn Yeezy? Really? We’re not here to judge, but that’s f*cking weird. And stop jerking it with people in the house, Jesus.

WATCH: USC Offensive Line Trapped In Elevator, Shoots A Rap Video

USC Offensive Line Elevator Video,jpg

Pretty much the entire offensive line for the USC Trojans were trapped in an elevator on Friday night. The crisis began around 6:30 p.m. EST. It doesn’t take too many USC Trojans to make for a cramped space, either.

So — keeping in mind that every one of those guys must weigh over 300 pounds — the logical thing to do while trapped in the elevator was to slam on the walls and start jumping around while shooting a rap video. That’s actually a pretty good idea once you get past the suicidal impulse. Here’s what it looked like…

Also, the real MVP was offensive tackle Zach Banner, who provided most of the video updates via his Twitter account. That included a horrifying incident of flatulence. Fortunately, the firemen arrived and eventually saved the players — and the poor elevator that had to support them. Banner’s most touching video remained unnecessary…

The Rock Net Worth Now, Dwayne Johnson net worth Today

Born on May 2, 1972 Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is an American actor, producer and retired professional wrestler. The Rock has been known to be one of the biggest stars in WWE history and one of the biggest box office draws in film history.

Born in California the son of professional wrestler Rocky Johnson, The Rock played track and field, football and wrestling throughout his high school career and showed lots of promise. After graduating from the University of Miami in 1995 with a degree in criminology and physiology, he joined the Canadian Football League, but was cut two months into it. Shortly after was when he first decided to intently pursue professional wrestling a potential future career.

So how did he go from amateur to pro actor/producer/wrestler? Take a look back at his career (so far) to see how he’s gotten to where he is now:

The Rock’s Net Worth as of 2016: $125 Million

1995 – 2000

After getting cut from football in 1995, Johnson went on several tryout matches through the World Wrestling Foundation (WWF) in 1996 and after just a few fights, signed a contract, eventually training alongside Tom Prichard, Achim Albrecht and Mark Henry. He made his WWF debut under the name “Rocky Maivia, but was initially rejected by fans for being “too cheesy.” During the next few years, he won many titles and refused to continue going under the name “Rocky Maivia,” instead refusing to go by anything besides “The Rock.”

2001 – 2005

After feuding with Royal Rumble winner Steve Austin, who he lost to at WrestleMania X-Seven, a fight when haywire when he was tag-teamed against by Triple H, McMahon and Austin, after which Johnson was infinitely suspended. During his suspension, he had a movie role in “The Mummy Returns” as himself. He returned to the WWF in July of 2001 and closed out 2001 with a championship at Vengeance. Afterwards, he once again took time off to focus on a film career, appearing in Star Trek: Voyager, Fully Loaded, and various WWE-themed videos. After going back and forth for awhile, he left WWE.

2006 – 2010

For the next few years, The Rock made appearances on both the TV and movie screens, cast in Hannah Montana, The Game Plan, Race to Witch Mountain, Family Guy and You Again. For some shows, he appeared cast as himself, while in others a new character was invented with Johnson intended.

2011 – 2015

In2011, The Rock became the host of WrestleMania XXVII, and during the promo, offended fans and professional wrestler John Cena by addressing him as a “big fat bowl of Fruity Pebbles. The two feuded on Twitter, getting other wrestlers involved as well, including The Miz and Alex Riley. At WrestleMania, he held Cena back during his match, helping The Miz keep the WWE Championship. Cena and The Rock fought in the ring at the following Wrestlemania, and after a few years of confrontations between the two, Johnson eventually had to undergo surgery to repair torn tendons that had occurred during fights with Cena. While rivals between the two have since settled down, they still remain enemies. Throughout this time, The Rock also split his time away from wrestling filming works such as Fast and Furious 6, Furious 7 and Pain and Gain.

So far in 2016, The Rock has yet to appear in any fights. He is working on various films for 2016-17, including Wrestlemania, Fast 8 and a Jumanji remake. So far in 2016, The Rock’s net worth stands strong at $125 million, but only 4 months in, there’s plenty of room for that to increase.

Prince Is Taking Over Tonight’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ [VIDEO]

0
0

Prince-snl-1101-4

Saturday Night Live didn’t get Prince to be the musical guest often — but often enough that the show is scuttling tonight’s planned repeat for a salute to all of his previous musical performances.

That’s a big deal, too. Prince always kept his SNL appearances off the show’s YouTube channel. He didn’t even let Hulu host the performances too long. (Sadly, you can see that demonstrated via the dead link at the last time we made a big deal out of Prince on SNL.)

Tonight’s show is also a big deal because it’ll be one of the few times that SNL acknowledges its disastrous 1980-1981 season. That was the season after all the original cast members left and NBC hired producer Jean Doumanian to bring in an all-new SNL ensemble. Some future stars were on the show (like Eddie Murphy and Gilbert Gottfried), but most people prefer to remember the musical guests from that time.

That included Prince guesting on February 21, 1982, with a wild rendition of “Partyup.” SNL will have to show that footage, even if Prince got upstaged by cast member Charles Rocket dropping an f-bomb and getting most of the cast fired during a parody of the TV show “Dallas.” (The host was Charlene Tilton, then a big sex symbol as a “Dallas” regular.)

Prince spent the rest of the ’80s and ’90s turning down SNL appearances. That was smart — but he came back on Feb. 4, 2006. A lot of people who’d been ignoring Prince were impressed by “Fury” and “Beautiful, Loved and Blessed.”

Prince fairly rushed back with a return on November 1, 2014, at the request of host Chris Rock. He stopped the show with an eight-minute set cramming in “Clouds,” “Marz,” and “Anotherlove” from his new albums Art Official Age and Plectrum Electrum.

That’s the show where Hulu yanked the video, but you can see it again tonight. It should make for some very special television— even if the tribute will probably be padded by Fred Armisen’s long stretch of impersonating Prince. We can’t remember who else might have done that on SNL over the years.

And since there’s still no existing (legit) SNL footage, here’s Prince on the short-lived comeback of The Arsenio Hall Show. He was probably the highlight of that show’s entire run, too….

New Movie Trailers: ‘Independence Day,’‘Popstar,’ And More… [VIDEOS]

Independence Day Resurgence Trailer Video

It sure feels like summer already — and we sure got a lot of cinematic sneak peeks this week to get us excited about the multiplexes bringing in all kinds of fun trash. Not that we only have trash among this week’s film trailers. We have one prestige production here. But, otherwise, we do seem to be going big and stupid….

Independence Day: Resurgence

This isn’t the first trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence, but it’s the first one where we’re feeling pretty good about the movie. That’s mostly because of Jeff Goldblum noting at the end that the aliens “like to get the landmarks.” That’s pretty fun and self-referential. Also, it’s fun to see CGI taking place in daylight, and we didn’t know Brent Spiner was coming back as dopey Dr. Okun. We’re hoping he’s learned a little bit about not being so impressed by aliens. We should probably know better than to be impressed by sequels that take 20 years to make…

Jason Bourne

Now here’s a movie that looks like the disaster you’d expect after Matt Damon takes a nine-year layoff from playing the title character. The cinematography looks great, and we’re thinking the movie should just be called Jason Bourne Does Vegas — but then we see hacker accessing a file conveniently labeled “Black Ops,” and we know this is just another preachy spy film from director Paul Greengrass. The veteran Bourne helmer bombed big with Damon in 2010’s Green Zone. Now this feels like they’re using the established franchise to repackage that lousy film…

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

The guys from The Lonely Island — still with Andy Samberg as their face of fame — kind of stumbled by releasing their fake documentary about a pop star on the same day that Prince died. Nobody wanted to be reminded about how painfully easy it is to make fun of today’s chart toppers. Not that this movie looks like it’s easily packed full of laffs. It’s more like an extended SNL sketch where Andy would be the funny white rapper, just like Kyle Mooney is now. Not a lot of enthusiasm to pay for seeing that….

Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates [Red Band Trailer]

We probably would’ve started with this one if it wasn’t one of the most NSFW Red Band Trailers that we’ve ever seen. Yeah, it’s inappropriate — but it also looks really hilarious. Zac Efron is still okay with us, but Adam DeVine really won us over with his turn in last year’s slasher tribute The Final Girls. Not that we mind Workaholics, but — anyway, it’s a comedy about two loser guys who get conned by two even bigger loser gals signing up to be their wedding dates in Hawaii. It can’t end up as bad as Dirty Grandpa, right?

Café Society

And here’s the new movie from Woody Allen — continuing the tradition of Woody bringing in a younger actor to play the Woody Allen role. Jesse Eisenberg is a better choice than Jason Biggs. (Jesse worked with Woody in To Rome with Love, too, but he wasn’t being Woody.) This looks a lot more fun than we were expecting, too. It’ll be fun to see people smoking in a movie set in 1930s Hollywood, and Woody Allen fans will appreciate how weird it is to see the color blue in one of his films…

Since Jones’ March 31 release, the bout has planned to continue as scheduled, however, Cormier was recently injured and has since been replaced by Ovince Saint Preux, making this an interim title fight.

Sega 3D Classics Collection Review: Must-See Details & Screenshots

Sega 3D Classics Collection

If you came of age as a gamer in the 1980s or 90s, Sega was probably one of your first loves. The games have lived on over the past couple decades in the form of rereleases and emulators, but they have been tough to come by on their most natural platform, the 3DS. That changes with the release of Sega 3D Classics Collection, which rounds up several of the best old-school Sega games in one package. The games play as well as they ever did, and look better than before thanks to subtle 3D shading on Nintendo’s handheld.

Game: Sega 3D Classics Collection
Consoles: 3DS (reviewed)
Publisher: Sega
Developer: Sega
Release Date: April 26

Nine games are included from the get-go, and there is also a 10th that’s unlockable. They come from the Master System (1986-1992) and Genesis (1989-1998), and represent a lineup close to the founding fathers of old-school Sega gamedom. You get Altered Beast, Fantasy Zone II, Fantasy Zone II W, Galaxy Force II, Maze Walker, Power Drift, Puyo Puyo 2, Sonic the Hedgehog and Thunderblade at the start. Meet certain requirements (no spoilers here) and you can also shake free the original Fantasy Zone.

There’s not a rotten game in that bunch, although there was so much good stuff available that it’s natural to look over what’s included and long for what is missing. Past Sega roundups, such as Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection, boasted essential classics such as the Phantasy Star and Streets of Rage series. Since games from those days took up so little memory, leaving them out seems like a cynical move to save some stuff for the inevitable follow-up.

The presentation of each game is pixel-perfect, and the decision to not go all-out with 3D, but instead use it as something of a highlighter to add an extra sheen, pays off. Games play out like animated dioramas, with colorful backgrounds popping thanks to the 3D, while the hero and enemy sprites stand out in the forefront, making it easier to focus on the action and separate it from the rest of the visuals. Sega could have taken another step, though, to better utlize the bottom screen, which is reserved as a title and touch-to-pause function. A scroll of  trivia, instruction manual or behind-the-scenes videos would have deepened the sense of history and nostalgia surrounding the games in the collection.

Anthologies of great games are nearly always solid value for the money, and Sega 3D Classics Collection qualifies as a steal, despite some of its omissions and its failure to use the 3DS touch screen in a meaningful way. If you’ve always wanted to go back and conquer some of the games that tormented you in your youth, this is as great a chance to do that as you’re ever likely to have. Jumping through rings as Sonic, bashing mythological creatures heads in in Altered Beast and zooming through space in Galaxy Force II are all just as fun as they were decades ago, and they doubtless will remain as addictive decades into the future. They sure don’t make ’em like this anymore.

WATCH: Bruce Springsteen Opens Show With ‘Purple Rain’ [VIDEO]

Bruce Springsteen Prince Tribute

Bruce Springsteen played the Barclays Center in Brooklyn last night and opened with a purple-swathed Prince tribute with “Purple Rain.” Recent events have actually made that a theme during Springsteen’s current tour. He paid tribute to dead David Bowie with a “Rebel Rebel” cover at one show, and covered dead Glenn Frey with “Take It Easy” in another. That take on the Eagles hit was as morose as this cover of the classic Prince tune, as you can hear for yourself.

Sadly, there’s no decent new Prince video to post from last night’s Saturday Night Live special. The only new video posted by the show was — as predicted — an old Fred Armisen sketch.

Also, try not to think about how Prince might have called for this Bruce Springsteen video to be taken down if he was still alive, just like he did when YouTube posted his own cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” at Coachella two whole years ago. Everybody was goofing on Prince back then, and then he abruptly changed his mind and plugged the video himself in December of 2015. Hard to pin that guy down…

UFC 197: Jon Jones Warms Up By Punching A Gal [VIDEO]

jon jones hits woman ufc video

UFC 197 featured Jon Jones making a great comeback as he returned to the ring to win a decision over Ovince Saint Preux to win interim light heavyweight title. It was a big night for Jones, who’d lost his UFC title in April of 2015 after a bizarre hit-and-run incident in Alburquerque, New Mexico that was worthy of Breaking Bad.

Jones had fled the scene of a car accident after his car ran a red light and caused a crash that left a pregnant woman with a broken arm. It wasn’t too cool that there was a pipe packed with marijuana in the car. But it was even less cool when Jones ran back to the car real quick to grab some cash before running away.

So maybe it wasn’t too shocking that Jones punched a gal while getting to the ring. At least it was accidental, though. Of course, UFC footage gets killed constantly, but a decent Vine has emerged via the Twitter account of Yellow Power Ranger. We don’t even mind the short laugh accompanying the footage, since the guffawing guy obviously wasn’t laughing at the poor female fan who can now brag of surviving a punch to the face from Jon Jones.

We wouldn’t have handled it as well. Not just because we’re big softies at heart, but also because our lawyers advise us to throw ourselves to the ground if anyone from the UFC even gives us a mean look. We didn’t get that lucky this weekend — although Weird Al Yankovic threw us a friendly wave. No money in that, though…

Here’s The Psych Major Busted For Threatening To Bomb A Trump Rally

Sean Morkys trump rally bomb threat

Cops say that Sean Morkys made a joke about bombing a Donald Trump rally in Connecticut yesterday — and, as you can see in this mug shot, he sure looks like the perfect cliché of a lil’ snowflake who can’t imagine a world where Donald Trump is, like, a Presidential candidate for real who gets things like Secret Service protection.

And so this 20-year-old Psych major at Southern Connecticut State University decided it would be clever to go to Twitter and ask, “Is someone going to bomb the Trump rally or am I going to have to?” After all, it’s not like the nation was recently marking the anniversary of a horrific mass murder where plenty of internet threats were ignored by local authorities, right?

Also, to really make the joke work, Sean added a Tweet where he told his friends that family members should avoid the rally so they didn’t get killed.

But, dude, the Connecticut State Police, the Secret Service, and the local police department were totally uncool about this Daily Show-level satire, and traveled to Sean’s nice suburban home in Waterbury to arrest him on Saturday afternoon. He was even charged with “inciting injury to [a] person or property” and released on a $250,000 bond until a future court date.

In Sean’s defense, he got the last laugh when the cops had to admit that he wasn’t an imminent threat! We’re sure the self-described “metal head” (according to his Instagram profile) is enjoying an ironic throwing of the Sign of the Horns over that exciting news. Party on, Sean!
