HTC unveiled their newest flagship phone today: the HTC 10. The HTC 10 is a definite update and upgrade from the previous HTC M9 and even the A9 which came out in late 2015. The design is pretty similar to both the M9 and the A9 (sleek curves, powerful speakers in the bottom), but the beauty of this rockstar is on the inside.

HTC 10 New Features

Because of various hardware and software updates, phone company boasts that the HTC 10 can last up to two days without a charge.

And while the sound quality of the M9 and A9 were already incredible, HTC is doubling down on audiophiles with an updated soundsystem. In addition to the HTC Boomsound present on the bottom of the device, HTC and JBL have teamed up to include a pair of noise-cancelling headphones that are included with every phone.

The camera has also been improved from previous phones, a feature some previous HTC users were less than thrilled about. The new camera on the HTC 10 features a 12-ultrapixel camera on the rear, and “an industry first” (according to CNET) image stabilized 5-megapixel camera on the front.

HTC 10 Release Date

The phone will begin shipping in early May. Right now, pre-orders for unlocked phones are only available for T-Mobile and AT&T. Verizon and Sprint phones will be available soon.

Brandon Lerry is a Los Angeles film student who recently made the news for spending his $2,500 financial aid check on a vacation to Thailand with his girlfriend of a couple of months. Brandon claims that he received a $2,500 financial aid check because of the fact that he was legally emancipated at the age of 16. Brandon claims that $2,500 check went towards the flights for both him and his girlfriend. His job as an Uber driver helped to pay for some of the other costs.

When UTC’s Hailey Puckett was asked to step down from her SGA position because of her support for Donald Trump, people were outraged. And rightfully so — you should be able to express your political beliefs (in a non-offensive manner) without being chastised for them. However, there is a right and wrong way to go about this. And the wrong way was on display at Ohio University.

The university’s Greek Week — which was set to take place between April 11 and 18 — was cancelled after Pro-Donald Trump graffiti showed up on campus. According to The Post, unnamed members of sorority and fraternity life painted the graffiti wall by Bentley Hall, with the phrase “build the wall” on clear display.

Now, let’s be clear — I hate Donald Trump and everything he stands for. Would I want to befriend a Trump supporter? Not particularly; our morals are different. But do you have to respect someone’s opinion? More or less, yes. Does it have to be graffitied all over campus with offensive slogans? No.

Naturally, I am far from the only person who thinks this. In a letter addressed to to the “OU Sorority and Fraternity Life community and supporters,” the Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Women’s Panhellenic Association expressed their disappointment.

“This phrase is offensive and hurtful to many individuals as it is directly tied to the Hispanic/Latino/a community, makes them feel marginalized, and the message was interpreted that they do not belong at Ohio University,” the letter stated.

The affiliation and names of the Greek members involved are not stated in the letter, as it “is not at the center of this controversy.” Those individuals will not face sanctions, and, according to the letter, were within their rights to free speech.

President Roderick McDavis elaborated in an email sent to students Friday.

“Indeed, this wall is a place of free speech and expression; however, the words painted were troubling because they had a very different meaning to some than they may have to others viewing the message or even to those who painted the message,” McDavis said in the email.

In short: save your opinion for a debate, not a campus wall.

Every year, the Kappa Alpha Order pledges at Tulane University build a wall around their fraternity house. Those pledges than stand guard over the wall, making sure that rival fraternity members, GDIs, or other heathens don’t try and dismantle it.

However, one anonymous and genius fraternity brother decided to make this annual tradition more about Trump and politics than the fraternity and his brothers. He decided to spray paint “Make America Great” in black around the wall. You can see the result of his handiwork below.

Of course, it was only a matter of time before multiple minority students took offense at the statement seemingly made by an entire fraternity. Tulane student Khristyan Trejo posted an announcement to Facebook, in addition to the two photos you see above.

As part of Kappa Alpha Order’s (KA) annual tradition, the fraternity at Tulane University decided to build a wall around their house; however, this time they built a wall filled with connotations of hate and ignorance, directly mocking the experiences of Latino immigrants and workers throughout our nation. By writing “TRUMP” in large, red letters across their “wall,” KA changed what was a tradition of building a wall into a tradition of constructing a border, symbolizing separation and xenophobia. This issue not only affects Latinos but all other marginalized immigrant groups in this country.

So, this is f*cking terrifying. In an effort to curb the amount of drunk driving incidents in Thailand, authorities are seeking out a new form of punishment: sending offenders to morgues.

Driving altercations are a problem Thai people have been facing for a while; according to a 2014 study from the University of Michigan, Thailand’s traffic fatality rate was the second-highest in the world and a slap on the wrist by some giant dude in uniform doesn’t seem to be helping. Authorities believe that sending traffic offenders and drunk drivers to clean and transport dead bodies at hospital morgues would be better than them doing community service — the bodies they are dealing with could have been them or victims of their stupidity.

The University of Buffalo has a new athletics logo. While the traditional interlocking UB logo will still be used, a new wordmark and spirit mark were announced as of Tuesday, April 12.

The new spirit mark is the first update to the bull since 2006 and the new, modernized wordmark comes after a three year experiment during which the school tried to emphasize the “New York” part of Buffalo, New York. It was an initiative introduced by former athletic director Danny White, who hoped it would expand the school’s profile. White believed the Bulls would generate additional national attention because more people identified with New York than Buffalo.

Well, White underestimated the Buffalo-love. Complaints from Buffalo students, alumni, and residents came pouring in. “Apparently, someone is ashamed of Buffalo or doesn’t want it to be known the campus is in Buffalo,” David Schaff wrote in a letter published in the local paper on March 27. “Anyone on a national level will think the school is in New York City. A slap in the face.”

Now, the “State University of New York Buffalo,” in which “New York” was highlighted, will be traded in for a simpler “Buffalo.”

“As the largest and most comprehensive public university in the State University of New York system, it is important that ‘New York’ is still a part of our identity and reflects our athletic and academic strength, which is shown through our new tagline, ‘New York’s Public Powerhouse,’” athletics director Allen Green told the UB Reporter. “Our research also showed us that “Buffalo” has a very strong place in the hearts and spirit of the UB community.”

“The intent for branding with emphasis on New York was to stimulate discussion about UB’s stature in New York, build momentum and tell UB Athletics’ story in a thought-provoking way, and that effort was a tremendous success,” Greene said. “Now that we are unified with every school and department at UB, we have more strength than ever before.”

What happened to Shannon Workman?

Shannon Workman was recently kicked out of her sorority over a Tinder photo. Weird, right? It gets worse — her sorority officers said the photo violated the Rule Of Human Dignity and was provocative. So, what’s the photo that caused such a fuss? Prepare to shield your eyes:

Yeah… that’s it. She was wearing her letters with a pair of shorts… real provocative. The photo — despite it being posted to the popular dating app eight months prior to its discovery — caused her sorority to call a meeting.

“I posted a picture on Tinder. It was me at Bid Day wearing the outfit they gave us.” Shannon said in a report with an NBC affiliate. “I don’t think it’s provocative or risque and required the meeting in the first place.”

Unfortunately for Shannon, the confrontation was less than surprising. “I had a feeling that something was going to go bad-just because of how the chapter is in the current state,” Shannon explained. In an effort to show the sorority for what it is, Workman recorded the meeting on her phone.

“The fact is we’re having combative attitude and disrespect. You’re not…we’ve asked you multiple times do you see where this is in violation and you keep saying no. So that tells me that you do not…

“I was just being honest.” Shannon said.

“That’s okay and that’s great.”

“If I’m going to get kicked out for that then let it be.” Shannon said.

“That’s okay. People have their own opinions and values and if they don’t align…

“Do you just have a hit list of people you’re trying to get out of the chapter?” asked Shannon.

“No, we don’t.”

“I don’t understand this. Out of all the people in the chapter I’m the only one getting kicked out because I’m standing up for what I believe in.” Shannon said tearfully.

“What you believe in doesn’t align with what we believe in.”

Shannon walked out of the meeting no longer a Chi Omega.

She continued: “Chi Omegas from all over the world have reached out to me saying they’re sorry and they’re there for me.” she said. “They’re still my best friends and I have nothing but respect for them.”

David Brackett, a previously unknown loser in the most supreme sense of the word, just went viral because of a disturbance he caused on a Jet Blue flight. David Brackett is the man who was recently filmed causing a disturbance on a Jet Blue flight from Long Beach to Sacramento this past Monday. The video was recorded by passenger Sara Bear, who then shared the video with Sassy Stew Rants, a Facebook page specializing in strange airplane events.

You can watch the video in its entirety in the link below, but the gist of everything is that it’s an eleven-minute long clip of David, one female passenger, and two other male passengers all arguing and threatening everyone.

The video you can watch in the link above is the event that started the whole thing. I think it should be mentioned that David (the guy in the jump suit) is not the only awful person on the plane, those two bald knuckleheads were also deservedly thrown off the plane.

Who Is David Brackett?

David Brackett is not a loser. David Bracket is a 27 (or 28)-year-old man who has it all. A 176 IQ. 20/20 vision. A $4 million salary. Six houses. SIX HOUSES.

David Brackett is also the person who identified himself on camera as he was being thrown off a Jet Blue flight, which wasn’t the best idea for someone who has a 176 IQ. It’s somewhat strange that his 20/20 vision didn’t see this PR nightmare coming from a mile away.

David Brackett’s Apology

After he was escorted off the plane by Air Marshals, taken to the Long Beach Police Department, and subsequently released, David issued a formal apology for his actions.

“I’m standing up for my mistakes. I’m not blaming anybody but myself for the actions that I did. The PTSD thing that I do have, it’s the first time where I’ve had to do something that I regret.” PTSD? Yes, PTSD. But not from fighting abroad or anything like that. Check out where he got PTSD from.

He blames his outburst on post-traumatic stress disorder, which he says developed after a motorcycle crash that broke almost every bone in his body.

He says the incident unfolded when the other passenger told him the flight attendant was of Middle Eastern descent and likely had a bomb.

“I lost it. I heard ‘bomb’ in my head and did what I did,” said Brackett, who said he tried to get off the plane before he overreacted, but the other passenger stole his cellphone. He says he recorded audio of it. [source]

“I felt creeped out by him and his personality and the way he looked at me,” explained Arielle in a recent interview with Metro. That’s reason enough to not want to hook up with someone, right? Apparently to Endri, that’s not the case. Dude went off the handle when she told him she wasn’t interested in seeing him again.

A normal response would be “nice meeting you!” and walk away quietly. Unfortunately not everyone is that courteous. AKA your boy Endri.

Ok Endri so, what was your end game here? Explain it to us. After berating her for several minutes, did you think Arielle was going to change her mind? Realize she was totally wrong about you being a f*cking weirdo and jump straight into your bed? And several times after that? Because if you did, you are mentally deranged and need to meet more women.

For RPG gamers, especially those with old school tastes, the 3DS is the most important system to own. Publishers such as Square Enix, Atlus and Nintendo keep the system thriving by pumping out regular releases that call back to the days of old, when traditional turn-based, strategy-focused RPGs were king. Square Enix’s Bravely Default, which came out in 2014, was one of the best in the flood of handheld RPGs, thanks to its unique battle strategy design. Now comes the sequel, Bravely Second: End Layer, which establishes the franchise as one of the most exciting int he genre.

Like the last game, the sequel thrives on the metagame that evolves within every battle. Every conflict presents you with the risk-reward judgment of either going all out with your usual barrage of spells and attacks, or lock down and do no damage, skipping turns in hopes of launching a sea-changing assault once you’re fully powered up. Anyone who thinks turn-based fighting has become passe hasn’t played a Bravely game. Every turn forces you to make a series of spot decisions that could lead to unlikely triumph or throw away would could have been a comfortable win. Even the most mundane of enemy encounters becomes a psychological, analytical puzzle to break down and solve.

As with nearly all RPGs, the story in Bravely Second is a jumble of mistaken identities, false endings and paradigm-changing twists. The gist is that potentially realm-saving heroine Agnes Oblige has been captured, and you take control of a knight named Yew to band together with a group of unlikely heroes to rescue her and take down the mysterious network of villains who captured her. After sitting through some extraneous background, you steadily take control of the slow-burning story through an extended tutorial that teaches you the complexities of battle, as well as the job system and how it relates to special abilities. Even if you’re familiar with the first game, the opening segments work as important refreshers to get you back in the flow. This is the type of game that requires you to think in a specific way, and if you lose its rhythms and lose track of what you’er doing, you’re toast.

Once you start Bravely Second: End Layer, you embark on a quest that lasts dozens of hours and will lead to all sorts of frustrations and triumphs. It’s a game you might start on your lunch break, only to realize that you’ve let an extra half hour go by without realizing it. A compelling story, fascinating battle system and just enough Japanese oddity to give the game an othereal edge, it’s a game that will make you thankful the 3DS exists, especially now that the Vita — which also had a string of strong RPGs — has been left to die. This is a game to savor, swap war stories about on Facebook groups, then analyze and restart again with more knowledge and skill. Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton will be facing off in another debate this week, and this time it’s to convince New Yorker voters. The debate will be on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 9 PM EST on CNN, just five days before the New York primary on the 19th.
