Most people forget that is was the X-Men movie that proved comic books could be adapted into successful films. Everyone remembers Spiderman and Batman Begins, but in the year 2000, it was 20th Century Fox who took a massive gamble on a comic book property. Well, here we are, 16 year later, and not only are they churning out X-Men movies like an assembly line, but they become bigger and better every single time. I would say Fox’s gamble paid off.

Damn, as an proud comic book nerd, 2016 is as good as it gets. I mean, think about it: Batman V Superman, the largest X:Men movie yet, Captain America: Civil F*cking War, and Suicide Squad. All in one year. What a time to be alive.

Seriously? I’m tired of these f*cking photo riddles that make my brain hurt and make me question my intelligence. Like WHY INTERNET, WHY?! Can we just burn them? All of them?

I’m feeling more inclined to do so after the latest viral brain teaser, which shows a bunch of girls in gray dresses lined up against a wall. It looks relatively normal, until you realize that some of the girls have to be mirror images of another… or something. Twins? Mannequins? Hollograms? I have no idea, but I do know that there aren’t actually 12 girls in this photo.

Which leads to the question that has everyone raking their minds and pulling their hair out: HOW MANY DAMN GIRLS ARE IN THE PHOTO?!

At first, I was thinking just the first four, but upon further inspection, I’m convinced it’s only the first two sitting next to a mirror. But really, I have no idea what’s going on! And apparently, I’m not alone. The Instagram comments speak for themselves:

Meet Nannette Hammond: a 42-year-old woman who somehow manages to be tanner than Donald Trump and has enough money to achieve her life goal of looking like a human barbie.

Again, another person who wants to look like a plastic children’s toy. We’d think it was more disturbing if it wasn’t for everyone else who had similar dreams, but Hammond is a special case. The woman handed plastic surgeons more than $150,000 to make her dream a reality.

What. The. F*ck.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Hammond discusses her obsession. “I loved playing with those dolls,” she explains. “I felt shy and self-conscious about my looks and wanted to be just like the dolls, I imagined they’d always be happy. I felt drab in comparison.”

Yes Nannette, because anything without a brain or a heart is always happy. Unless you also got a lobotomy to go along with that boob job, we’re guessing your SOL on this one.

She elaborated:

Nannette has revealed how, after years of yearning for Barbie looks, she began using sunbeds at 16 for a year-round tan.

Then five years later she had her first round of surgery, a breast augmentation from a B to a C-cup, later going up to a DD.

After getting a job as a nurse for a cosmetic surgeon at the age of 17, Nannette had collagen lip fillers and Botox injections – a habit that she still maintains to this day and that costs her around $1,420 (£1,000) a pop.

She now sports a 28H bust along with $54,000 worth of veneers, and insists that she will look like this when she is 70-years-old. Considering she has a rich husband who “just wants [her] to be happy,” we bet that’s the case. Good for her!

Heroic surgeons at Johns Hopkins Hospital are planning on conducting some amazing experimental penis transplants on a bunch of Wounded Warriors.

The doctors at the Baltimore hospital are hoping to restore urinary and “extra-curricular” use to sixty veterans. Although sixty people is just a small percentage of the 1,300 servicemen who’ve suffered urogenital injuries since 9/11, it’s a great start to help the young men who’ve literally sacrificed their bodies for our nation.

Johns Hopkins spokeswoman Taylor Graham explained the obvious to Philly.com:

Injuries that would have killed soldiers in the past are increasingly survivable, thanks to medical advances. But, especially for younger men, identity can be deeply tied to sexuality.

“When they wake up after getting hurt, they don’t care if they’re missing an arm or a leg. The first thing they do is to make sure, ‘Is my penis still intact?’,” Graham said. “They worry about the arms and legs later.”

The procedures will involve only the penis and will not include the testes, Graham said [source].

We wrote about this story in December 2015, but now it seems as though the first transplant was a success. They’re now moving on with more surgeries.

Amazingly, this kind of surgery exists in somewhat grey ethical zone. Not because the doctors don’t want to make the life of their patients better, but because of the complications that can arise years after the surgery.

According to Arthur Caplan, a professor of bioethics at New York University, more often than not a ton of antirejection drugs are required to be taken by the patient for the remainder of their life. Apparently the kidneys have a very tough time coping with new organs. “We don’t worry about it when it comes to the heart, because without the transplant they’re dead,” said Caplan. “But if you transplant someone at 20 with a new penis, and their kidneys fail at 30, is that a success?”

Heather Cole is the woman who starred in a “home video” with Hulk Hogan back when her name was “Heather Cole.”

Cole changed her last name after she divorced from her ex-husband Bubba the Love Sponge, the man who she claims convinced her to sleep with Hulk and a number of other celebrities, then filmed it.

Heather’s been on the witness stand a lot in the recent days of the Hulk Hogan vs. Gawker trial and she claims that she didn’t know Bubba was filming the couple.

“I was shown the video,” Cole said to the jury on Wednesday, fighting back tears. “I immediately asked for it to stop.” But Hulk’s not suing Bubba the Love Sponge or Heather, he’s suing Gawker Media for publishing the full video on their site.

As for what Heather is doing now, she’s an Advocare saleswoman who looks like she’s trying to do her best to get past her somewhat sordid past.

According to Thrillist, a job listing titled “Wanted: Full-time Ninjas,” was published in Aichi prefecture in Japan. The listing states that government officials are looking to six people who are good with acrobatics and martial arts to promote Japanese tourism by walking around in a ninja costume and kicking ass.

Kelsey Harmon is a college softball player from Oklahoma who reaaalllyyy loves her grandfather. And so does Twitter, apparently.

On Wednesday night Harmon and her adorable grandfather became Twitter famous after she posted the following tweet. Warning: it’s really sad:

As you can see, Papaw looks like he’s about to throw himself off the nearest bridge, even despite having 12 delicious burgers leftover for the week. If you ask me, that’s pretty damn awesome. Getting more media coverage recently for being country singer Blake Shelton’s girlfriend, Gwen Stefani is a singer/songwriter who originally got her start as the co-founder and lead vocalist of the band No Doubt. Her debut album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby., was released during the band’s hiatus in 2004, and launched the start of her solo career.

Now, she is releasing her third solo album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, which has been redone since she first announced that she was making the album. According to Stefani, the starting material felt forced and inauthentic, so she went back to the drawing board to change up her sound and make it more natural. Is there anything more terrifying than sleepwalking? Like legit sleepwalking, when you actually wake up and have no idea where you are or how you managed to get there without pants on?

The answer is yes, thanks to this horrifying story from Iowa State University.

A female student rolled out of her third floor dormitory window last night while she was sleeping. Police got a call at 3am from a fellow student who heard the girl yelling for help outside of her building.

By the time police arrived outside the Frederiksen Court apartments, the girl was lying on the ground injured, but conscious.

“She was sleeping and must have rolled out. But we can’t confirm anything until we talk to her again,” explained Lt. Elliott Florer, from the Iowa State University Police.

She was then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

It is weird that my biggest issue here is that ISU has big enough dorm windows that you can roll out of them accidentally?  How big is this f*cking window?! My dorm windows definitely weren’t big enough to stick my arm out of, let alone roll out and plummet to my death. Plus they had screens that wouldn’t magically open up to free air with a small tap.

This story sounds fishy. My money’s on the roommate – they definitely pushed her. Look into that, po po!

Awesome? I know. First, the fact. This video was posted by some dude named Rendo Yehezkiel on his Facebook page. The puppy is named Sidney, and his owner is Revol Gerungan. Lastly, Indonesian media reported it happened in the city of Manado, Sulawesi.

Now, Revol, my dude, as much as I love this video, I have some questions:

Puerto Rico’s Miss Universe Kristhielee Caride just had her title stripped for being the absolute worst. Apparently good looks mean nothing and beauty really is on the inside, blah blah blah.

According to US Weekly, Desiree Lowry, the director of Miss Universe Puerto Rico, announced the decision during a press conference on Thursday, March 17, just four months after Caride snagged the title.

Apparently Lowry was pretty pissed off when Caride publicly commented how she hated being in front of the cameras. “I saw the damage that she was doing and the damage that she was doing to the organization,” Lowry explained after making the decision to decrown her.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Caride apologized: “It was never my intention to make you feel bad, hurting or damaging the image of those who have helped me to be where I am today.”

She has since been replaced with Brenda Jiménez, an equally-beautiful pageant winner. Whatever Kristhielee (sorry we can’t actually pronounce that), we love you anyway.
