We are getting closer and closer to playoff time in the NBA is just around the corner. This is arguably the best time of the year. NBA teams are already clinching spots in the playoffs and there is still a lot on the line for teams closing in on the final spots in the playoff. We have a slate of 10 games on hand and should be a great night of sports. You may have the greatest knowledge of the NBA and who to pick, or you may need a little help on what players you need in your roster, so let’s take a look at my DraftKings lineup for tonight.
PG: Goran Dragic ($6,900)
Coming off a 25 point 7 rebound and 4 assist performance against a young suns team only means good things to come in the next game against the 76ers. The matchup here is what to look at. Dragic is able to spread the floor with he scoring and assisting and it will be too much for the 76ers to handle. I expect a big night for Dragic and a big victory for the Heat.
SG: Avery Bradley ($5,000)
Avery Bradley might not be the first name you think of when you want to pick a player, but for the price of $5,000, you can’t beat it. Bradley is known more for his defensive abilities but he is averaging 16.8 points per game in the last 5 games. This is a low risk, high reward pick here. You may not get the monster night out of Bradley, but he has the potential to do so while saving you money for other picks.
SF: Giannis Antetokounmpo ($7,700)
Antetokounmpo is a listed at 6’11” and can run the floor like a pure point guard. He can effectively score, rebound and assists at a very high level. In his last five games, he is averaging almost a triple double with 17.8 ppg, 10.6 rpg and 7.8 apg. Not too bad for someone who is only 21. Antetokounmpo has given the Bucks a bright future ahead and it can easily be seen through his play. He is almost always on my team if the matchup is right, and in this case, it is.
PF: Jabari Parker ($6,500)
Jabari Parker comes in averaging 20.8 points a game in the last 5 games and has a favorable matchup against a young Timberwolves team. The Bucks need to get things going here if they have any chance at a playoff berth. They have the talent to make it back to the playoffs, as seen last year, and a matchup against the Wolves should right the ship for the Bucks. Parker is ready to light up the scoreboard as he showed in his matchup against the Rockets where he dropped a career-high 36 points. He’s not afraid to pass the ball and be a point guard as he dropped five assists that game while tallying four rebounds and 2 steals.
C: Jared Sullinger ($6,100)
The name of the game is to get the most points from each player, and Sullinger can definitely be that guy for you. Sullinger is a rebounding and scoring machine. Averaging almost a double double in his last five games, Sullinger has had five double doubles in the Celtics last eight games played. He comes into this game averaging 12.2 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game. The Celtics are playing at home against a Knicks team that is a mess right now, watch for Sullinger to have a monster day.
Guard: D’Angelo Russell ($6,300)
Russell has been on a tear lately and he doesn’t show signs of stopping. Russell has put up 20+ points in the last four games alone. He is averaging 23.2 ppg, 4.8 apg and 3.8 rpg in the last five games for the Lakers. For the price here, you are getting a player that not only scores, but will rebound and rack up assists. Injuries to Jordan Clarkson (Questionable) and Kobe Bryant (Questionable) will let Russell be the scorer the Lakers need against a sound defensive team in the Hawks. This is no secret pick here that a lot of others may have, but it is the right pick. Just check and extra eye on the injury report today on Clarkson and Bryant.
Forward: Marvin Williams ($5,800)
Marvin Williams is playing exceptional basketball right now for a team that’s hanging on to a playoff spot. Over the last 5 games, Williams comes in averaging almost a double double with 14.0 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game. That comes in at 32.9 DraftKings points per game. And for someone that is not in your starting lineup buts towards the end of your roster, Williams is a must have for DraftKings tonight.
Utility: Alex Len ($5,700)
I’m not the biggest fan of having power forwards or centers as my utility players, but I give players like Alex Len an exceptional. The Suns are going younger and giving big minutes to players like Len and he is taking full advantage of that. Len is averaging a double double in his last 5 games, with 15.8 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game. This is why you do not just want a scorer only as your utility, but rather, have Alex Len come in scoring and rebounding for you and making you money.
