Last night, the Lakers played the Warriors in Los Angeles. It was an easy victory for the Dubs, 109-88. but that’s not what we’re here to talk about…

We’re here to remark on the fact that some Lakers fans became so embarrassed of their team that they switched allegiances mid-game and had the whole thing recorded on camera.

Or maybe they’re just bandwagon Warriors fans until the Lakers’ team improves, a theory that someone on Reddit offered:

I’ve been told that some Laker fans call the Warriors “Lakers north” and are bandwagoning the Dubs until the Lakers get better.
My brother in law told me this but I pray it was sarcastic. Shit made me gag.

Either way, as a Knicks fan this makes me happier than I can put into words. Watching the most annoying fans in basketball implode and start fighting amongst each other is like getting another Christmas present from your relatives weeks later.

**And yes, I’m well aware that these people are probably rich businessmen/tourists on a group trip who are enjoying an American basketball team. But get out of here with that reasoning.**

That is a direct quote from Ice Cube, which should be reason enough for you to watch this video.

I’ve always thought Conan is at his best when he messes with regular people, and this video is exactly that. Unfortunately this time, a poor, sweet, quiet little Asian girl named Diana just learned how to drive was his target.

But it doesn’t stop there, they have passengers to pick up: Kevin Hart and Ice Cube. And that is when the hilarity truly ensues.

I didn’t see Ride Along, but now I’m starting to think it must have been kinda sorta funny. I mean, hell, they churned out a sequel in less than two years. And Kevin Hart and Ice Cube have seem to have some decent ying-yang comedic chemistry goin’ on. Ride Along 2 is definitely on my “must download” list. ‘

Side note: I’m legitimately amazed at how calm this girl was. Riding with Kevin Hart and Ice Cube would make me nervous enough, let alone with them intentionally f*cking with me.

So one day, I’m sitting in the office minding my own business, finding whatever garbage the internet cares about on that particular day. Except, on this day, I came across something actually awesome: McDonald’s was FINALLY going to serve all day breakfast. So I did what bloggers do, and wrote about it. Great.

But then, a couple weeks later, a McDonald’s rep emailed me, asking if I wanted to try out some of their stranger breakfast combinations. Like any functioning human should, I said yes to free food, so McDonald’s sent me to Arch Gift Cards so I could try it all out. At first they seemed bizarre, but after actually tasting them, I was surprised at how uniquely delicious the pairings turned out to be.

Dating sites are ubiquitous – so much so that you’ve probably tried at least a dozen of them. But we’re going to guess you haven’t made a profile on WhereWhitePeopleMeet.com… unless you’re a living, breathing member of the KKK, then maybe.

Sam Russell, the 53-year-old creator of the dating site that specifically matches lonely white singles, is currently on the defense. While many people have called the site racist for obvious reasons, Russell claims it’s more about “equal opportunity.”

Plus he’s dated a black woman one time, so how could he be racist?!?! Right?! RIGHT?!?!

“I dated a black woman once. I helped raise a young black man,” he explained in a recent interview. “I just believe it is hypocrisy to say ‘one group can do this, but another can’t.'”

Unfortunately, he continues talking.

According to the Daily Mail,

Russell argues that there are already various dating websites that cater to “just about every origin, race, religion and lifestyle out there,” as his website reads.

“I am sure some of you are wondering about the concept and need for a dating website titled “WhereWhitePeoplemeet.com,” he writes in the site’s ‘About’ section.

“Our answer to that would be why not?”

Umm… no comment.

Russell and his wife officially launched the site last week, both agreeing that it would be a suitable career path before hitting retirement. Maybe they can get that Florida beach house a bit earlier than they anticipated? So this can all go away?

One can only hope.

Oculus Rift pre-orders began at 11 AM EST today along with an announcement about how much they will cost and when they will be released. For just $599, people can buy the CV1 (Consumer Version) which includes the head-mounted Oculus Rift display, a sensor for motion tracking, an Xbox One controller, plus copies of the game Lucky’s Tale.

**People who pre-order the Oculus Rift CV1 will also get a copy of the game EVE: Valkyrie.**

You can buy the Oculus Rift on the official website here. You’ll need to first set up a free Oculus Rift account.

If you were one of the people bold enough to be an original backer of the Oculus Rift back in 2012, you’ll receive a CV1 plus all the equipment and both games free of charge.

Florida Atlantic University has officially fired controversial professor James Tracy, after claiming the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school was a hoax.

In a statement released last night, university officials announced that Tracy’s last day would be Friday, January 8.

Back in mid-December, Tracy gained notoriety after publicly feuding with one of the Sandy Hook victim’s parents. The professor created a conspiracy campaign online and was reportedly harassing Lenny and Veronique Pozner, claiming that their murdered son, Noah, never actually existed.

In an op-ed for the Sun-Sentinel newspaper in Fort Lauderdale, the couple stated, “Tracy is among those who have personally sought to cause our family pain and anguish by publicly demonizing our attempts to keep cherished photos of our slain son from falling into the hands of conspiracy theorists.”

They continued, “Tracy even sent us a certified letter demanding proof that Noah once lived, that we were his parents, and that we were the rightful owner of his photographic image.”

According to The New York Daily News, FAU Vice Provost Diane Alperin said that “Tracy failed to disclose his outside employment for three years and then filed his disclosure form without listing his unpaid conspiracy-theory blogs.”

“You publicly engage in external personal activity that requires your time and effort,” Alperin wrote in a copy of the Tuesday termination letter cited by Florida’s Sun-Sentinel newspaper. “It is for the administration to decide, with your input, if a conflict exists, and how to manage a conflict where necessary. You have repeatedly and willfully failed to provide the administration the information it needs to discharge its responsibilities.”

Tracy has yet to respond, but any a**hole who has the audacity to say that the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary was a government conspiracy probably shouldn’t be teaching a room full of students.

If your holiday wasn’t spent watching Netflix’s Making A Murderer, then, well … I really don’t know what to say to you: you’re pretty hopeless.  Check it out ASAP, because the latest true-crime documentary from Netflix is absolutely flooring. The world unbelievable is tossed around too lightly in today’s world, but in the case of Steven Avery, it truly is unbelievable. As in: I cannot believe this took place in the real world and not in an artfully crafted piece of fiction. This documentary was literally 100 times better than the second season of True Detective 

First, is Ken Kratz, the perv who was eventually accused of sexual misconduct, who was the state of Wisconsin’s lead prosecutor in the case against Avery (they REALLY nailed that one, by the way). Kratz practically implodes from the stone cold questioning from Conservative unicorn dime piece Megyn Kelly (who we LOVE.)

Next comes one of Avery’s lawyers, Dean Strang who A) seems like a boss a** lawyer, and B) seemed like one of the only morally correct people on the documentary. Our girl Megyn is an equal opportunity journalist, and went just as hard on Strang as she did on Kratz. Except Strang more than held his own. As he did in the documentary, Strang came in hot, dropping absolute truth bombs. If you watched the documentary, this video is an ABSOLUTE MUST WATCH. Seeing the two main lawyers from the case reargue the evidence almost 9 years after the convictions show just how poignant, and how emotionally involved, these lawyers were.

Not many people – let alone women – are accepted into UT”s highly-esteemed petroleum engineering program (a.k.a the top petroleum engineering program in the world). And we mean this literally – only 75 students from across the globe are accepted, and Kaitlin managed to be one of them.

You’re a Petroleum Engineering major. That’s badass! What led you to choose that?
Ever since I was a little girl, I loved to think out of the box to solve problems. I have the dedication to not give up until the right solution can be found, and have always excelled in mathematics and science. Math came to me almost like a second language, so I knew that a career in engineering would fit me well. My father is also a chemical engineer and has exposed me to the many opportunities in his field; I want to follow in his footsteps. I am primarily interested in Petroleum Engineering because I find the oil industry intriguing, and I also look forward to finding other energy resources that can support the world’s needs and meet our future energy crisis. This past summer, I did an internship as a production engineer at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and fell even more in love with the industry.

How has being a part of your sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, shaped your college career?
Being an Alpha Xi Delta has shaped my college career in ways I never expected. Other than all the amazing fraternity parties and the many blurry nights on 6^th street, it gave me a support system that has made adjusting to college extremely easy. All the girls welcomed me with open arms, and within just the first month of being in the sorority, I met my six best friends who I know I’ll be partying with until I’m 80-years-old. College would be 100 times more stressful and lonely if I didn’t have all my sisters by my side.

What do you have to say to the people who criticize sororities and say you’re paying for your friends?
I would tell them that they are the furthest thing from right. People technically “pay for friends” their whole lives, whether they pays dues for soccer, cheer, or band. Sororities are the same concept; it’s just a bunch of girls that have similar interests. Being in Greek life is just a way to make a huge campus – like UT which has over 50,000 students – feel a lot smaller. Plus, who doesn’t love knowing that no matter what you will have over 250 girls who would bend over backwards for you and help you with anything you need? These girls aren’t just my friends; they are my family.

Who’s your favorite artist? Is there anyone you’re just dying to see in concert?
Ooohh this is a tricky one. I love all types of music; it really just depends on my mood. Funny story, though. My parents only listen to rap music, so I grew up jamming to Missy Elliot and 50 Cent, which means rap will always have a special place in my heart. But overall, I guess my favorite artist would have to be Gucci Mane or Lana Del Rey (very different I know). I saw Lana in concert and it was the best concert of my life; I was fan-girling so hard! I guess now if I could see anyone live in concert it would be Gucci Mane.

I know this is cliché, but where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I hope to be a production or reservoir petroleum engineer at a big oil company. I want to travel the world, so I would love if my job allowed me to work in another country, like Australia or somewhere in Europe or South America. Hopefully I will have met my soulmate by then too, just so I won’t have to be a cat lady for the rest of my life.

What’s your ideal first date?
Something adventurous or unique. Instead of going to grab Starbucks, I would rather go hiking or paddle boarding or just something that I normally wouldn’t do by myself. Honestly, I could have a great first date doing anything as long as it was with the right person.

Where are you originally from?
I am originally from Bartlesville, Oklahoma. I know, I know – you’ve probably never heard of it. It’s a small town outside of Tulsa. My whole family is from Oklahoma, so Oklahoma will always have a special place in my heart. After Bartlesville, my family moved to Chicago for 5 years, then to the woodlands, Texas (a suburb of Houston). I’ve lived here the past 13 years. Even though I was born in Oklahoma, I consider myself a Texan at heart.

What’s your favorite class you’ve taken so far in college?
Geology was by far my favorite class that I have taken so far. If you ever talk to my friends, I am always telling them nerdy little rock facts. I feel like geology is a class that everyone should take because it gives you so much insight into the world and how it works. After taking this class, I can never look at rocks the same.

What is your proudest moment??
When I got my acceptance letter into the Cockrell School of Engineering at UT. I had automatic acceptance into UT, but that doesn’t guarantee your major. The University of Texas has the top ranked petroleum engineering program in the world, so people come from all over the globe, and only about 75 students get accepted. I thought that I would get chemical engineering then just try to transfer into petroleum, but when I opened up my letter and saw petroleum engineering, I was ecstatic. It was nice to see that all of my hard work was finally paid off.

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Netlfix. I’m seriously a Netflix binger. Give me a week, and I’ll finish a whole TV show. I’ve actually came to the point where I think I’ve run out of shows to watch on Netflix. Ooops haha.

Following the keynote speeches and press conferences earlier this week, the Consumer Electronics Show 2016 (CES) is now officially underway for the public. While fans of gizmos and gadgets were forced to watch the companies like Samsung and Sony unveil their newest tech from a distance, now they’re able to see them for one-on-one demos (Photo by David Becker/Getty Images).

Now is when CES 2016 really starts getting fun. Photographers, tech bloggers and reviewers now have access to the coolest stuff we’re hoping to see in the upcoming year.

In addition to the coverage we’ll be providing all week long, we’ve pulled together some of the best photos from Las Vegas–including Tech East, Tech West, Tech South, and the rest of the locations.

You’ve heard of beer, right? Good, now that we’ve established that you are a functioning, breathing, generally aware human being, let’s get to the facts. Beer is delicious. The end.

No, but seriously, to the article: A study conducted by Smartasset determined which American cities are the best for the average beer drinker. The results are frustratingly accurate, for example, 4 of the top 6 cities are bonafide hipster cities (LOOKING AT YOU, PORTLAND, with a mind blowing 68 microbreweries). But how did Smartasset come up with this list, you ask? Here’s how:

To find the best cities for beer drinkers, SmartAsset collected data on the beer industry in 296 of the largest cities in the country. Specifically we considered the following five metrics:

— Total number of microbreweries and brewpubs.
— Number of microbreweries and brewpubs per 100,000 residents.
— Average Yelp score of breweries.
— Number of bars per 100,000 residents.
— Average price for a pint of domestic draught beer.

We ranked every one of the cities in our study according to those five metrics. We then averaged those rankings. In calculating the average ranking, we gave double weight to the total number of microbreweries and brewpubs in each city, half weight to the average Yelp score of breweries and average price for a pint of beer and full weight to the other two metrics.

Those average rankings formed the basis for the overall ranking and index score. The city with the best average ranking across those five metrics scored a perfect 100, ranking first, while cities with lower average rankings garnered lower scores.

Now that you’ve absorbed all that VITAL information, check out the list below and cry because you probably don’t live in any of these cities. Where the f*ck is New York?!?!

As far as I’m concerned, there is only one statistic on this infographic that matters, and that is the average cost of a pint. Shout out to all the cities with a $3.00 average pint. Cheap beer is a MAJOR key on the pathway to more success. Just ask DJ Khaled, I’m sure he’ll agree.

Total Frat Move

It’s common knowledge that New Yorkers have one of the sexiest accents known to man, but it’s also known that girls love British guys. This should need no explaining, as the majority of young girls grow up wishing they could hear “hello love” whispered into their ear at least once in their lives. Preferably in the dark… surrounded by nice smelling candles… while laying on a set of silky soft sheets…

Anyway… these dudes are fully aware of their appeal, and are using it to their advantage. They’re literally traveling thousands of miles just to get laid, which is kind of crazy considering I know a ton of dudes who can’t even get laid in their hometown.

The five friends – who are average looking, at best – have managed to hit Alabama, Syracuse, Arizona State, West Virginia, and Georgia, along with various other schools where the girls are eager and (apparently) willing. They’re into sex tourism and they seem to be pretty damn good at it.

VICE: Why do you think it’s so easy for you to hook up with girls in the United States?

Chris: Well we have a joke that girls in like, middle America are just like, “Help, help!” about the men here. You go to West Virginia to any bar and see what you’re up against.

Carl: Backwards cap, sneakers.

Chris: They wear hunting jackets out to the bar!

Dan: We wear our street clothes out, casual clothes, and birds are like “Oh, you look so nice! You’re dressed up!”

William: Girls give me a lot of credit for the name William here, even, they’re like, “Oooh, it’s so English!” It’s as easy as an accent and a name.

Wow… they make it sound so easy. And sad. Really, really sad.

Have you seen Love Actually? Who came up with your plan to come here and do this, and when did it start?

Dan: About two years ago, I did. Other people come, my brother and that. This is William’s first trip with us. We just thought, and not based on that movie, but in general, “Why go to Vegas and make things hard?” Everyone there is trying to show off, money and that.

Chris: But in America in, say, Arizona, or wherever, it’s absolute nothingness! You know, in Westchester, Pennsylvania, it’s forest for miles.

Carl: It’s that pull. That pull of being foreign, of being English, that’s a big pull here.

Chris: Right. Like, Alabama is the best place!

William: A British accent is nothing [in San Diego,] but middle America? It’s the best tool in the world.

Have you ever had a girlfriend in all this?
Chris: When I went to Athens, Georgia. I was really good! I behaved. After we broke up, I went on spring break in Panama City. Nine girls. Five days.

So what’s the lesson learned here? Get an accent, get interesting (but like, average is totally fine), and start talking – about anything. Apparently, it works like a charm.

The discovery of WKRC Cincinnati reporter Angenette Levy is one of the only positives to come out of Making A Murderer. If you’ve watched Netflix’s new docuseries Making A Murderer, you’re aware that they paint the state of Wisconsin in a very unattractive light. I mean, seriously, is there no sunlight up there or something? Is it a state full of vampires? Literally every face show on the show is a hard 5 or less (on the classic scale of 1-10, of course). However, there was one person who had some potential, and that person is news reporter Angenette Levy.

According to her Twitter bio, Angenette is “Reporter at WKRC in Cincinnati. Cat and puppy mama. Loves coffee, great conversation, good stories, a big laugh and so much more!”

Booth Babes, a man’s favorite attraction at any convention, are back at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas. Hiring attractive, knowledgeable women to garner attention to your products is one of the oldest tricks in the book for a reason: it works.

Grab their attention with eye candy, then hope that your gizmos, gadgets and doohickeys keep them there.

Believe it or not, the concept behind “booth babes” may have actually been invented right here at CES back in the 1960’s. The term itself actually came about in the 80’s, though (source). There was a rough patch back in 2013 where some third-party Apple knockoff company brought in some bodypainted women, causing the booth babes to be banned for a year, but that’s the past.

With the ever so hilariously delightful Jane Lynch acting as a host, CBS kicked off the 2016 People’s Choice Awards with a bang on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 awarding the hottest nominees and naming a bunch of our favorite celebs as winners. Now that everything is said and done and the results are in…  all we’ve got to say is that this years 42nd People’s Choice Awards truly did do one heck of a job at ‘Honoring the best in popular culture’!

Each year in early January we can’t help but get pumped up with excitement over the People’s Choice Awards. From music, to film, to television, the People’s Choice Awards honors the best of the best by dishing out numerous awards to pop cultures finest. The utterly hilarious Jane Lynch hosted this years awards ceremony, along with the assistance of a long list of incredible presenters like Jack Black, Kate Hudson, Vin Diesel, Britney Spears, and Lea Michele, as well as a bit of mighty-fine ear candy from music sensations like Shawn Mendes and Jason Derulo.

Vin Diesel choked back tears while accepting the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Movie for Furious 7 at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards, saying:

“I was cool while I was sitting in my seat, and then they handed me two awards. One for favorite action movie, and one for favorite film–you all thought this was your favorite film. So I think of Dom and Brian, and I start to think of Paul…”

On regards to proceeding with the production of Furious 7 after Paul Walker’s tragic death in 2013, Vin Diesel went on to say:

“It was a labor of love, my only message to you is: you’d be amazed what you can do with love. You’d be amazed how powerful of a force that is. When we didn’t want to come back to filming when the tragedy was too heavy, it was the love of everyone combined that saw through to the end, and now is standing here with all of you telling me this was your favorite film of the year.”
