You might have heard of the French police raid in St. Denis following the terrorist attacks on Paris.

You might also have heard that there were only a few police casualties.

But what you may not know is that many policemen’s lives were saved because of Diesel, a seven-year old Malinois brave military working dog who was the first one into the terrorists’ apartment. Diesel was heavily decorated before his heroic death.

According to reports, the French RAID (their version of SWAT) team sent Diesel in to assess the threat. These Malinois, Belgian shepard canines, are easily the most heavily used breed for military working dogs and are “indispensable” to police units, especially when there’s a threat of explosives.

Police believe it was Diesel who caused one of the female terrorists to detonate her suicide belt, sadly killing the dog but saving many human lives (except for the POS terrorist who no one will miss).

The raid on the St. Denis apartment which officials believe housed six terrrorists, including the Belgian man behind the Paris attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, lasted for a total of seven hours. Once news of the dog’s actions became public knowledge, the hashtag #JeSuisChien started trending on Twitter.

Michigan State University is expected to get slapped with a sexual assault case from four former students, two of which are expected to discuss details on the attacks sometime this morning.

The suit is said to be filed against MSU, the school’s president, and the vice president of student affairs. The lawsuit claims that the university did not do enough to protect victims of sexual assault or thoroughly investigate their claims. According to Buzzfeed News, “the school’s investigations dragged on for so long that they violated the federal gender equality law known as Title IX.”

Two of the women said the university didn’t complete its investigation into their reported sexual assaults for months after those deadlines. The other two said the investigations took more than a year. The duration lead to devastating effects, the women said, such as failing grades and the fear of running into their alleged assailants on campus. One of the women eventually moved out of the campus dorms and back home. Another withdrew from the school.

One of the attacked is also accused of assaulting one of the women while under investigation for a previous attack against another woman. He was eventually exonerated. Another suspect transferred schools before the investigation was complete, while the last was found not guilty by the school.

So far two of the students’ names have been revealed – Shayna Gross and Emily Kollaritsch. Both are listed as plaintiffs on the case and are expected to attend a press conference later today.

The dates for Coachella 2016 have finally been announced by the festival’s website. As in previous years, the festival will take place over two weekends.

The first weekend will take place April 10-12, 2015. The second weekend will take place April 17-19, 2015.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, November 20th at 10 A.M. PST. This page on Coachella’s website walks you through how to buy your ticket. The advanced sale is already closed, so we suggest waiting by your computer and refreshing the page starting around 9:57 AM PST. This is going to sell out in seconds.

Coachella 2016 Lineup

As of now, no official Coachella 2016 lineup has been announced but there are rumblings that the music festival will release a batch of names on Friday when tickets go on sale. A number of East Coast festivals have already jumped the gun, so it would make sense that the biggest West Coast party would follow suit.

As far as lineup rumors go, many expect Guns and Roses to reunited and headline the festival.

A terrifying man wearing a Joker mask recently took to YouTube promising to kill one Arab a week throughout Canada in retaliation for the attacks in Paris.

According to Vice, the video was since been deleted despite only being published Tuesday.

The message is terrifying.

“As of next week, there will be murders all across Quebec,” he says in a Quebecois-sounding accent. In the background, a baby is wailing. “We will eliminate all of them, one by one. Islam has harmed us enough.”

Referencing the Paris attack, the unidentified male claims he’s recruited more than ten others to take part in the crime spree. “I will fire a bullet in the head of one Arab per week, starting next week,” he says, brandishing a handgun, although it’s not known if it is real or fake. “I guarantee you that I am serious.”

He also called for like-minded individuals as backup to help carry out the threat, while wielding around a handgun.

Fortunately the manhunt was short; the bigoted videographer was arrested in the borough of Montreal North on Tuesday night and is currently meeting with investigators. Possible charges being brought against him are still unknown.

Canada has recently experienced a rise in anti-Muslim outlooks since the terrorist attacks in Paris last week.

After two of the three canning weekends for Penn State’s Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance marathon have been canceled, students and faculty have been worried that it will significantly affect the THON total in February. After last years amazing $13,026,653.23, there is no way that the one canning weekend this year, plus alternative fundraising will even come close to raising that amount of money.

Penn State Athletics has just teamed up with THON and is going to donate 50% of the proceeds from remaining ticket sales. This weekends last home game against University of Michigan is usually a big one, however, it’s taking place on the Saturday before Thanksgiving break, so a lot of students would have already left for home. The fact that now half the proceeds of the remaining 3,000 seats are going to THON will definitely urge people to open up their wallets.

It seems strategic that THON and football should pair more often in hopes of selling more tickets and collecting more money for both causes. Even though the gesture is one of goodwill and will significantly bump up the money rose for pediatric cancer, we can’t help but question how pure the motives are of Penn State Athletics.

2014

Kellie Fullilove, a student at Florida International University, passed away this past weekend after attending an off-campus party in Fort Lauderdale at the Bahia Mar hotel.

Phi Gamma Delta was having their fraternity formal at the hotel and Fullilove was a guest. A police investigation is currently underway and details of her death remain unknown. Police are awaiting the results of a toxicology report before they make an official statement.

University of Mississippi‘s incredibly talented linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche is currently in the ICU at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi, and has been there since Monday.

Details as to why he is there remain unclear, but according to reports, Nkemdiche did not check in with his teammates on Monday following the team’s open date.

According to coach Huge Freeze, Nkemdiche is dealing with a personal issue.  “We are going to walk through it with him,” he stated. “When issues come up that you need to get through that involve one of our players and anything with their family, we just want to support them and help them through it.”

The senior was allegedly found on Monday and immediately admitted to the hospital.

A former All-Southeastern Conference selection and a freshman All-American, Nkemdiche leads the Rebels with 53 tackles so far this year.

Canada is getting reaaaaal weird.

In one of the most WTF stories we’ve heard all week, a heart was found in a trash can on Toronto’s Ryerson University campus yesterday morning, and investigators spent a lot of time pondering whether or not the organ was of human descent or animal’s. Creepy.

Officers were called to the scene around 8:48 a.m. Wednesday after a groundskeeper found the heart while cleaning out a garbage can outside Ryerson’s G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education. Shortly after, the homicide squad and the coroner’s office were called to determine the heart’s origin.

The university promptly tweeted out a response upon hearing the bizarre news:

The futures of the UCLA Bruins and Utah Utes haven’t been the best over the past week. Both Top-20 teams lost last week and now will play each other on Saturday afternoon looking to rebound from their disappointments at Utah’s Rice-Eccles Stadium. The 18^th-ranked Utes are 8-2 overall and 5-2 in the Pac-12 Conference while the Bruins are 7-3 overall and 4-3 in the conference. This becomes a key game for the South Division title in the conference.

UCLA lost 31-27 at home against Washington State. Josh Rosen has been great as a freshman, throwing for 2,904 yards, 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Jordan Payton has found plenty of room in the passing game with 64 catches for 904 yards and four touchdowns while on the ground, Paul Perkins has been a monster to deal with. Perkins has 1,082 rushing yards and ten touchdowns to lead the Bruins. It is a game that UCLA would love to win knowing they have to finish the season with a game against USC.

Utah lost in double overtime to Arizona 37-30 which ended any hopes that the Utes may have had to make the college football playoff. Travis Wilson has thrown for 1,806 yards, 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions while finding the likes of Britain Covey plenty. Covey had 41 catches for 518 yards and four touchdowns. The run game has been controlled by Devontae Booker, who has 1,261 rushing yards on 268 carries to go with 11 touchdowns. The Utes want to make sure a Rose Bowl berth and conference title berth is still a possibility after this one.

The Big 12 Conference is one that has turned into a high-scoring, ton of fun offensive showcase each week. The 11^th-ranked TCU Horned Frogs and 7^th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners have been right up there with the offense combining to average over 90 points a game. The two teams will play in Norman on Saturday night looking to get their tenth win of the season. Both TCU and Oklahoma are 9-1 overall and 6-1 in the conference. A win in this game would keep the winner in the college football playoff race.

TCU is coming off of a 23-17 win against Kansas last week and has some injury issues to deal with. Trevone Boykin has thrown for 3,427 yards, 29 touchdowns and nine interceptions but may not play due to injury along with his favorite receiver in Josh Doctson. Doctson has 79 catches for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns but is also hurt and is questionable for the game Saturday. Aaron Green has 973 yards rushing to go with nine touchdowns to lead the Horned Frogs on the ground. This is a key game for TCU to beat a highly-ranked team on the road.

Oklahoma went on the road and beat Baylor 44-34 last weekend. Baker Mayfield has thrown for 3,082 yards, 31 touchdowns and five interceptions for the season and has looked like a Heisman Trophy candidate. Sterling Shepard has 61 catches for 1,003 yards and nine touchdowns to lead the Sooners in the pass game while Samaje Perine has 972 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. This becomes a very key game especially with Oklahoma State on the schedule to finish the season next week in a potential playoff knockout game.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys have been shocking a lot of college football observers this season. The 4^th-ranked Cowboys are 10-0 overall and are within two wins of making the college football playoff in all likelihood. Oklahoma State will try to remain undefeated as they host the 10^th-ranked Baylor Bears under the lights on Saturday night. Baylor suffered their first loss of the season last week and is 8-1 overall for the season and 5-1 in the Big 12 Conference.

Oklahoma State rallied for a 35-31 win over Iowa State on the road last week and will be home for their final two games of the season. Mason Rudolph has been looking great at quarterback with 3,161 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions. James Washington has been a key member of the passing game with 40 catches for 820 yards and seven touchdowns while Chris Carson has 446 yards rushing and four touchdowns but the name of the game for the Cowboys is their passing game and how well that functions.

Baylor lost 44-34 last week at home against Oklahoma and is looking to get back to their winning ways. Jarrett Stidham is 63-for-88 for 1,007 yards passing and 11 touchdowns since replacing Seth Russell at quarterback. Corey Coleman is still the favorite target for Bears quarterbacks with 61 catches for 1,229 yards and 20 touchdowns. On the ground, it is Shock Linwood’s game with 1,149 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. The Bears need to win their last three games and hope for some help if they want to make the playoff.

A southern teen from East Coweta High School was caught on Snapchat donning a KKK hood and a confederate flag late Tuesday, causing outrage among students and parents alike. The identity of the student has yet to be revealed publicly.

Recent East Coweta High School graduate Lorenzo Lewis posted the hateful image to his Twitter in an attempt to get the horrific incident some exposure, and luckily, it worked.

First of all, how stupid do you have to be to do this? Are racists alive and well in this country? Unfortunately, yes, but who in their right mind would don such an offensive ensemble? In the parking lot of a high school, nonetheless. Was it just to get attention or was it to get a specific message of hate across? Whichever it was, they’re both equally appalling.

Steve Allen, the school’s principal, wrote a letter to parents explaining that the two students involved have been identified and are being disciplaned for their actions. In my day, that would mean a lengthy ass-kicking from my parents, but specifics in this case remain unknown.

According to the Daily Mail, “The photo emerged just a week after it was announced that a Ku Klux Klan chapter in Georgia’s fight for the right to Adopt-A-Highway is headed to the state supreme court after a three-year battle.”

Washington College, the Maryland school we told you had shut down for consecutive days while police search for a missing student believed to be armed, has just announced they will remain closed for another ten days. The school has asked students not to return to campus until it reopens on November 29th.

Jacob is wanted “on four charges that include possession of a dangerous weapon on school property, possession of a handgun, minor in possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition [source].”

The school made the announcement on their Facebook page, which you can read below:

Following the difficult events of the past few days, Washington College will be canceling classes this week and the week of Thanksgiving Break. Based on our continuing consultations with law enforcement, we anticipate that classes will resume on Monday, November 30th. The college campus will re-open on Sunday, November 29th. Students should plan on returning to campus on that day.

While classes are canceled until November 30th, students should be alert to email communications from their professors with instructions pertaining to continued progress in their courses.

All residential students have either returned home or been taken in by members of the campus and Chestertown community. We are deeply grateful to the faculty, staff, and residents of Chestertown for opening their homes and their hearts to dozens of our students.

We will continue to update the Washington College community with information as it becomes available.

Washington College school officials have been the first to say that there are no direct threats to Washington College students, faculty, or the campus but that hasn’t stopped them from being extra careful about protecting those under their charge.

This morning, the President of the school also wrote this open letter to Jacob, asking the student to come back home:

Jacob: We know these past few days must have been extremely stressful for you. We’re asking you to contact your parents and let them know that you’re safe. Your family misses you. Your friends in the Washington College community are worried about you and want to see you home safe and sound.

There haven’t been a ton of huge games in the Big Ten Conference this season so far. That will change on Saturday afternoon as the 2^nd-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes host the 9^th-ranked Michigan State Spartans in Columbus in a battle of two teams looking to make the Big Ten title game along with having a chance at the college football playoff. Ohio State is undefeated at 10-0 and 6-0 in the conference while Michigan State is 9-1 and 5-1 in conference play.

Ohio State stopped the Illinois offense last week and scored a 28-3 road win. J.T. Barrett leads the offense from the quarterback position with 622 passing yards, eight touchdowns and three interceptions while also adding 403 rushing yards and eight more touchdowns. Ezekiel Elliott has been hard to stop on the ground with 1,425 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. In the pass game, Michael Thomas has 45 catches for 651 yards and eight touchdowns. The Buckeyes need to beat the Michigan schools the next two weeks to clinch the title game appearance.

Michigan State got through a 24-7 game with Maryland last week after losing the week before. Connor Cook has some injury problems but has thrown for 2,482 yards, 21 touchdowns and four interceptions on the year. Aaron Burbridge has been the recipient of a ton of Cook passes with 65 catches for 1,021 yards and six touchdowns. On the ground, LJ Scott has 519 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. The health of Cook will be the key on whether or not the Spartans can win this game on the road in a game that they must win for a title game appearance opportunity.
